And that settles that Ash gets Noibat and Serena is getting an Eevee. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually evolves into a Sylveon.
It's funny, save for Hawlucha, my predictions for Ash's team have been pretty spot-on.

You mean you called all his team members save Hawlucha from the start?
I kid - I know what you mean there. It gets uncanny when you can tell what the future developments are, even if there are some vague spoilers being thrown at you. Personally, I too realised that they'd go that route, even if I didn't desire it - I of course thought going the other way around (as those spoilers go) would be far better and more original... It's actually quite hilarious to see all the dismayed commenters on You Tube, crying about the fact that it didn't; I can grit my teeth and bear it, and hopefully it turns out good.
My biggest worry is of course copycat territory (one person likened Serena getting Eevee to May in AG (which isn't exactly wrong, but a bit unfair since her team-building and such has paced differently...), especially with Noibat. That OP seems to suggest a Composite Character Expy of Torkoal/Gligar: the former with the Ocular Gushers and the timing of the capture, as well as filling the 5th slot like Torkoal did; the latter in being a two-stage flier who looks to be very clumsy and weak at the start. Which, again, will inevitably run the risk of Replacement Scrappy, only worse because of what could be a misguided attempt to use the aspects of multiple fan favourites and botching it; the hope is that they don't mess it up, and the character is Rescued from the Scrappy Heap in due course.
Just because I disapprove of the development does not mean I want it to blow up in their faces. XY has been the show's strongest series (IMO) since AG, despite its faults; I don't want that to fall into Seasonal Rot.

A thought: The Regional Bird (Flying) and the Starters (Grass, Fire, Water) are Recurring Elements of the games, but as we've seen with the Starters, Ash will get alternates (Corphish, Torkoal], Buizel) for whatever reason the writers have for doing so.
So would it really be surprising, especially with the Kalos Regional Bird being Fire/Flying instead of the usual Normal/Flying, that they'd give Ash an alternate Flying type? In this case the first ever primary Flying Type?
I know I've suggested before Talonflame would be playing double duty as the Fire and Flying Type, but here they are keeping the individuality of those roles. Water, Fire, Flying… if Ash doesn't get a Grass Type I will be shocked.

One other thing worth noting is that Ash's team at this point essentially consists of Five Fragile Speedsters. Goodra was Ash's sole Tank, so i expect Ash's sixth mon will have to fill this void.
My best guesses would be: Gogoat, Phantump/Trevanant, or Doublade/Aegislash

I see Alain's finally shown up in an opening.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I suppose this might mean we will be getting that Pre-League Team Flare/Mega Evo Filler Arc. Which judging by the Opening will be after Anistar City which would be in line with when the showdown with Team Flare happens in the games.
If Ash gets a Mega, how does Ash's Mega vs. Wulfric's Mega Abomasnow sound?
EDIT: BTW Judging from the preview Fletchinder's ability is Flame Body seeing as when Sylveon grabs Fletch with her ribbons they only got lit on fire for their trouble. Seriously, that blink and you'll miss it Oh, Crap! look on Sylveon's face as the flames come towards her via her own ribbons? That was priceless. I'm looking forward to this Gym Battle.

Every time we get toward the end of a region I pray that Ash will win the league this time, and every single time we get denied. Could this time be the charm?
I remember how much hype there was in Hoenn and Sinnoh because we thought Ash had a shot at winning those two times, but it didn't happen. Unova we kinda knew Ash would get screwed over...
... perhaps reverse psychology or whatever it's called?
Dragon Riders is canceled and Team Dragon Rise is disbanded. I'm a failure as an administrator of two forums. The newest version of the opening is pretty cool, though I have to say that seeing Noibat hit the ground and start bawling doesn't pack quite the same punch as watching Goomy turn into Goodra...
I think that's the joke.
I'm putting the Power Plant episode in with the Trevenant episode: plausible execution in-universe, with a verified Moment Of Awesome for Clemont on top, but suffers from Team Rocket oversaturation EDIT: at the arc-level. I do count it as one of Team Rocket's better episodes, though. The only problem being that they didn't mention the source of their idea; the dub presentation didn't suggest Colress as much as Botch and Casualty, though mentioning them, even in passing, would definitely have qualified as Parental Bonus.
Still, the arc-oversaturation does dull the effect. Given this is where you fight Aliana in-game, it would've been an excellent place to introduce Team Flare as a faction, or, failing that, just have Aliana seem to work independently only revealing that she was part of Team Flare all along during the Boss Rush in Team Flare's arc.
And I still don't understand why Clemont couldn't have taken Bonnie with him. Not that I don't like her, I do; it's just that it seems like an abdication of his role of Big Brother.

Did the Japanese version suggest they got it from Colress? It does seem more like Butch and Cassidy's sort of scheme.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Probably because Clemont trusts his friends to watch over Bonnie, and definitely because Bonnie deserves to stay.
If the Opening is anything to go by we're apparently going to be through the 7th Gym before the year is out followed by what I'm guessing will be a Mega Evolution/Team Flare Arc with Alain in-between then and the 8th Gym (which would go with the Team Flare storyline from the games). This will then be followed by the League. Question is what'll happen after that?
If the 7th Gen won't be till Fall 2017, we're possibly looking at a year of Post-League Filler if the ME Arc with Alain isn't very long. I'm kind of leery on Fillers after BW. That said OI and BF were pretty good. So 2-1? I guess that's favorable.
Perhaps the upcoming arc with Alain will focus more on Team Flare and conclude with Ash getting a Mega Ring with a Post-League Tournament Arc being focused on Mega Evolution and Ash's bonds with his older Pokemon. Anyone who can go Mega: Charizard, Sceptile, Heracross, Glalie, if they evolve (no matter how rushed it might feel): Venusaur, Blastoise, Garchomp, bring back released Pokemon: Pidgeot, Tyranitar, whoever gets one in Z, and perhaps some guys from Gen 7 for early promotion.
Just let the writers go nuts with it and make this the most Crazy Awesome, Rule of Cool, Hot-Blooded Tournament Arc in the history of the series. Especially if this is Ash's last series. Let him go out with a bang.
This very likely won't be what'll happen (We'll probably get a Charizard X vs. Y fight though...), but I'd like it very much if they did.

Well if this is going to be Ash's last series, then it'll likely end with him Winning the Kalos Conference Finals over Alain regardless of when Gen 7 comes out. Ash Winning a Tournament and And the Adventure Continues offscreen is basically the only way to end Ash's story. Maybe the Pre-League arc would be in 2 parts: 1 being Ash vs Flare vs Malamar and 2 being the Mega-Training. (Probably a bit too much to ask for the Johto and Unova teams to receive a little more development, though...)
Then again, I'm guessing there's a reason why I'm playing the intro to Mega Man 7...
Figured that 3 days was long enough for a double. Besides, this is more of a technical question than a program question:
What's the status of the last 12 episodes of Season 17 on streaming networks? EDIT: e.g. iTunes
As an example, every time I check Season 17-4 on Amazon TV, "Bonnie For the Defense" isn't listed at all and half of the episodes are listed but "unavailable".

I've only seen pics, but today's episode provides the following date: 07/14/1758. If the episode states just how long ago that's been then we might be able to make a timeline.

Unfortunately, X & Y had its major event 3,000 years ago and Black & White over 2,000 years ago. Conversely, Parfum Palace was constructed only 300 years ago and Xerneas only came 1,000 years ago. So I don't know what sort of event Hit So Hard, the Calendar Felt It that would've fit the timeframe of 1700-2000 that date would require.
Regarding today's episode...gee, is Bonnie afraid of ANYTHING?!?
Obviously she's afraid that Clemont won't have a wife to take care of him.
Hmm...good point. The only other thing could be having to wear shoes for a prolonged period of time.
Seeing Jessie like this make me think again that some characters do look better without their makeup.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefTwo questions.
- Who do you think should Ash's Mega be?
- Is Ash x Serena for real this time, unlike the lead girls from the other generations? I mean, is it possible that Ash might settle down with Serena at the end of this generation?
