Obligatory mention of Double Standard and all its subtropes.
- Love at First Sight and Fourth-Date Marriage
- Foe Yay: There are varieties of intense emotion other than raw, pulsing lust, people.
- Death of the Author: The concept strikes me as very insulting to the author.
- Dance Party Ending: I'm sure there are exceptions, but the ones I've seen come off as, "we couldn't think of a natural way to end the movie."
- Science Is Bad
- Humans Are the Real Monsters: Congratulations, you're edgy. Now go away.
- True Art Is Angsty: "Angsty" can be done well, but it's not a free pass to brilliance.
Not sure if there's a trope for it, but I hate it when sociopathic children get away with antagonizing someone else because her idiot parents buy her "sweet and innocent" gag.
I abhor Insufferable Genius.

Everything is Possible. But some things are more Probable than others. JEBAGEDDON 2016Maybe it's even Adults Are Useless. This trope works just fine in comedies. But in dramas...well, let's just say that you will have plenty of reasons to be peeved.
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!Victim Falls For Rapist : Rife with Unfortunate Implications. Also one of the main reasons I dislike yaoi.
What Measure Isa Non Badass: just because a character doesn't wrestle with bears at every turn doesn't make them a worthless pussy.
Fragile Flower: I really dislike this trope . Since when was having the emotional stability of a five year old and crying over every little thing considered cute? It is not. Infact it's very annoying.
Men Don't Cry: Just beacuse a man *GASP* dares to show emotion, doesn't make him a pussy or gay.
Goddamned Bats : 'nuff said
Loners Are Freaks: I truly despise this trope. Just because a person likes to spend time alone or has few friends , doesn't mean that they are budding psychos plotting to kill people. Beleief of this trope caused me rather unpleasant experiences in school....
and pretty much ALL double standard tropes.

my wooden badge wuz deliciousBrains Evil, Brawn Good. Yes, because using your wits to defeat the enemy must be eeeeeevillllll. And beating the crap out of somebody definitely is not.
ok boomerDefeat Means Friendship
Especially the way the Nanoha fandom uses it.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Yeah, I know. I know that in reality pride can make people stupid things. But you know what? If your hero can't beat that really powerful villain without him grabbing the Idiot Ball, that just means that you are a hack.

As far as I see it, it's bollocks. Some arguably good things have arguably shitty periods, endings or elements to them. You're going to have to live with it.

YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYWho says that people can't live with it?
And for that matter, I think most people are pretty much half-joking when they evoke it.

Assuming they aren't joking, which I'll agree many people do when using the trope, it just seems iffy that you can cut out a piece of a work you don't like because you don't like it.
That's not living with it, that's ignoring the fact there's a fault with or some issue they don't agree with in the work. At least, it's not living with it in my book, in any case.
To each their own, but for me, I can't simply deny a piece of work's (or entire work) existence because I don't happen to agree with it. Plain and simple.
Other people clearly can, but I don't share the ability of the viewpoint that it's a good thing.
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYImplying people think it's a good thing and don't just do it because they're annoyed.
Agreeeeed so much!

Says the one who does the same thing with GT.
No, I don't. It's not taking an aspect of a show and ignoring it, it's taking a different show made by different people and calling it non-canon.

Yes, you do!
Read my edit.

Hey, I'm just saying why I don't like the trope. I think people enjoy bitching about anything they can. Fanon Discontinuity gives people something they don't usually get to do very much: Bitch about something they, for all intents and purposes, love and like save for the part that they are using the trope for.
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYYes, you do!
That would be alright, but you're putting words into those people's mouths.

Kay, you're genuinely pissing me off right now.
That's true, and is the flaw with my view on Fanon Discontinuity. It requires making assumptions about the people using it. If it's a joke? I'd argue that it's a tired one, but go for it. If people are being serious? Eh, I don't agree with the idea, but go for it. I can't stop anyone using it. Again, I just think it's crap.

YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYSilly Saiga, you have to say: "No, I don't.", with me saying: "Yes, you do!" afterwards.
And we must repeat that for several pages!
Meeeeeeeeh~

I'm not sure I agree 100%, but the way you said that had me laughing :D
