Is Hitler the real Hitler? Is he his ghost in Hell? Or perhaps he's a clone who has no choice but to reenact the life of the original Hitler. The HRP channel itself seems to suggest that there is not just one Hitler, but now a whole bunch of different Hitlers who all live in alternate universes.
Is Fegelein really messing with Hitler for his own pleasure? Or is he actually trying to kill Hitler so he can take his place as Fuhrer?
Fridge Horror: Why might Wiedling be constantly stopping Burgdorf from shooting Fritzsche? Because there is a possibility that Burgdorf might've pulled his "Magnificent Gun" on someone else, and compared to Fritzsche, that person might've not been so lucky. So Wiedling might be trying to prevent such an incident from happening again.
The Slender Man has been shown to exist in the Parody Universe, so who's saying that other internet horror characters don't exist in this universe? If so there is nothing stopping someone like Jeff the Killer or Cartoon Cat from paying the bunker a visit...
Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The Downfall parodies is so immensely popular in Japan, and it didn't take too long for Japanese fans to make their own. However, keep in mind that due to cultural differences, Japanese parodies vastly differ from Western ones: In Japan, the parodies — both the Western and the Japanese ones — are commonly known as 総統閣下シリーズtransl. Soutou Kakka Series, meaning The Führer Series. Unlike the Western parodies, the Japanese parodies only use the film's Signature Scene (though other scenes are also used as well), and the main characters are given new Catchphrases, based on... the buffalaxed pronunciation of their German dialogues. A few examples: Hitler's "大っ嫌いだ!"transl. Daikkiraida!, meaning I really hate it!, "バーカ!"transl. Bāka!, meaning Idiot!, and "畜生めぇぇ!"transl. Chikushō mē!, meaning Goddamn it!, the result of mishearing "Sie ist ohne Ehre!".
Growing the Beard: When it initially took off, most of the videos were just Hitler ranting about whatever he was informed of in the video and only used two scenes from Downfall, Hitler's rant regarding Steiner's failure and the scene where Gunsche informs Hitler of Fegelein's desertion. The videos began to evolve once more Downfall scenes were used and more named characters emerged, being given various personalities rather than just being unnamed informers (Fegelein and his antics, Gunsche as the Captain Obvious informer, Jodl as the Commander Contrarian, etc.).
Harsher in Hindsight: This parody depicts Hitler's TV channel getting hijacked by Fegelein via a transmission showing Eduard Khil singing Trololo, during which Hitler suffered a stroke and was taken to a hospital. Two years after the video was uploaded, Khil suffered a stroke that took his life.
The "Fenton The Dog" one ends on Hitler deciding to call on (then still Sir) Jimmy Savile to help him. Not longer after the latter's history of sexual deviancy became public knowledge. Also counts as Hilarious in Hindsight in a Crosses the Line Twice sort of way, given one dead depraved scumbag is calling on another to help him, and almost makes Jimmy as bad as Hitler just by association given that he'd been an object of lampoon and seen as a complete creep for years beforehand.
Given Hermann Fegelein's position as a superhuman master of eldritch Nazi super-science, it makes a twisted sort of meta-sense why his actor would again be cast in such a role as HYDRA leader Baron von Strucker in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Constantin Film, the same company which brought us Downfall and tried in vain to delete all of its parody videos, has since released a What If? movie about Adolf Hitler titled Look Who's Back — which happens to be a satirical comedy in which the Führer somehow finds himself in the 21st century, is treated as a laughingstock instead of a terrible tyrant (at least at first), and even becomes a YouTube personality. Hell, there's even a few references to Downfall, such as an image of Bruno Ganz's role as Adolf Hitler, and a spoof of the classic rant scene in which the editor of the media company that handles Hitler's media return takes his place as the pissed off boss.
Iron Sky features a scene that homages the famous rant scene, and stars Götz Otto (Günsche's actor in Downfall). Shots from the film end up being used by Hitler Rants Parodies in his Finality Saga trilogy, where Günsche is the main antagonist and a spy for the Space Nazis.
Ho Yay: Krebs and Burgdorf. Also Hitler and Gunsche. No, really, and let's not forget Fegelein and Hitler.
Fegelein, largely thanks to his Joker Immunity. He almost always evades Hitler and even if he's killed, he's back in the next episode anyway.
Kate Bush not only is the most talented singer in the Parody Universe, but she's led entire armies against Bieber's fans and several times and always won. I think it's worth pointing out that when the United Bieber Fever Alliance first appeared the entire German army couldn't stop them, but a platoon of Kate Bush fans come onto the scene and they immediately start dropping like flies.
Memetic Mutation: The videos themselves are a prime example of this.
Krebs and his fish.
Memetic Troll: Fegelein is constantly portrayed as a nuisance.
Misaimed Fandom: The Fegelstation series by Fegelein: The Lost Tapes were some of the first and more popular videos to combine elements of Let's Play and usual Downfall parodies, and had many follow ups by other Untergangers, including Hitler Rants Parodies' "Reichstation" videos. Unfortunately, most of them seem to miss the point: while it's true that Hitler couldn't get far, this is because Fegelein made the games Unwinnable by Design. In Sonic CD part of "The Fegelstation 4", Hitler managed to complete half of the game up until getting an instant Game Over at the beginning of Wacky Workbench. Though exceptions aren't unheard of, most people seem to think Hitler's poor performance is a main source of comedy, and depict him being bad at pretty much any video game, even if Fegelein's intentional bugs aren't involved. Best summarized by one of the comments under The Fegelstation 4.
MonguinAssasin: Many tried to make sequels to this video series, but they don't realize why these videos are so funny. It's not because Hitler sucks. It's because an antic was added into each of the video games so Hitler can't beat it.
Fegelein: The Lost Tapes: I was wondering for the longest time when someone would finally get it.
Nightmare Retardant: The Goebbelman in itself is a generally scary video in the series about the ghost of Joseph Goebbels haunting the bunker, possessing people as he go... But if you look closely in the background while his is possessing his wife trying to convince Hitler into going to sleep, you will notice that the actual Joseph Goebbels is present in blink-and-miss moment behind her.
Strawman Has a Point: Usually Hitler is presented as the embodiment of Hatedom during his rants, but other times he actually presents legitimate arguments. Expect lots of comments saying "Never thought I'd agree with Hitler" when that happens.
Any video, especially from Hitler Rants Parodies, that commemorates a celebrity who has recently passed away. That goes double for this video commemoratingBruno Ganz.
