There is an actual, In-Universe explanation for the Video-Game Lives
The Big Bad of the game is the Devil Himself, meaning the Broforce isn't just a team of badass mercenaries blowing shit up for the greater good : they are literally doing God's work. And as the Hard Mode ending shows, Jesus (and, by extension, God) are just as real as Satan in this setting. Fallen Bros respawning, either from freeing a captured prisoner or from an airdrop to the latest checkpoint following a mission failure, aren't just a standard videogame mechanic : God Himself is bringing them back to life and allowing them to go back to the mortal realm so that they can continue their mission.
