  • Alternate Universe: In Digimon Tamers canon, the D-Reaper is a Lovecraftian based horror entity. In this continuity, it's a frolicking candy-eating monster and more cartoonish than its counterpart. However, both versions desire to delete anything extending beyond their boundaries and ultimately become Omnicidal Maniacs. He becomes more like the canon D-Reaper once he assimilates other warriors and later regresses to his original Teen-Reaper state.
  • Ancient Evil: Once a deletion program during the birth of the Internet, the essence that helped mutate it into the monster it would become existed since time immemorial.
  • The Assimilator: Like the canon D-Reaper, he can absorb things into mass. Having assimilated Digimon throughout his existence, he learned to adapt and evolve from his original state. Later on, he learns to absorb other Digimon and warriors without deleting them, but instead acquire their physical traits and fighting techniques.
  • Continuity Nod: At one point, Jeri, a visitor from her native dimension, confronts Super-Reaper and has her mind scanned. Once learning of what his counterpart did to her world, he vows not to make the same mistake that befell the other D-Reaper. He then tries to assimilate her to take her knowledge.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Locked inside a shell for over thousands of digital cycles after his original master was killed.
