Future-At-War

    Titan
Voiced by: KR: Ahn Hyomin JP: Kazuya Nakai
Type: Mech
Role: Striker
Rarity: SSR
Team: Future-at-War
"The Ultimate Doomsday Weapon has arrived? You're my new commander. Nice to meet you."
An annihilator developed by Future-At-War to counter Category 3 Corrupted Objects. The original prototype was eventually acquired by Coffin Company.
  • Awesome, but Impractical:
    • He was frequently used in Mech teams thanks to his high HP and ability to gain resistances based on the battlefield, but with his high cost, lack of MDL, and slow ramp-up he's frequently considered a worse Evolved One.
    • In-universe, Seo Yoon points out the flaws of Titan's bipedal design: he requires much more maintenance due to the number of moving parts, he has a higher center of gravity and is easier to tip over, and he's more exposed to damage. She summarily calls him "an outlandish luxury packed with crazy sci-fi stuff". Titan interprets her words as compliments.
  • Balance Buff: His Rearm improves his all-around capabilities and, more significantly, refunds Deployment Resources when deployed; if set as Leader, he virtually becomes a 3-Cost unit.
  • Benevolent A.I.: Titan's creators intended him to protect the world from the Counterside. His self-learning AI took this to heart, becoming quite friendly and protective for a giant war machine.
  • Big Damn Heroes: His initial deployment involved him being dropped onto the front lines to single-handedly crush a C.O. attack threatening to wipe out a military unit. The project's research head was summarily fired for unauthorized disclosure of classified information as the deployment was not officially sanctioned.
  • The Big Guy: Coffin Company's answer to situations that require overwhelming firepower... preferably far away from inhabited areas.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: He's quite jovial and lively both in and out of battle.
  • Cool Old Guy: Sigma refers to him as "Grandpa" which he takes in stride. Helps that he's one of the older project out of Future-at-War.
  • Humongous Mecha: A large mech that shakes the ground when he's deployed.
  • Immune to Flinching: He's immune to hitstun from Ultimates and lower attacks.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: His Special skill barrages the area in front of him with a swarm of missiles.
  • Red Baron: The Ultimate Doomsday Weapon. Technically a misnomer because, as a pre-Character Development Titan points out, the world isn't technically facing doomsday yet (much less one caused by Titan), but clearly Rule of Cool was on the scientists' mind to some extent while designing him.
  • "Second Law" My Ass!: Discussed, downplayed, and a rare benevolent example as he is still first-law compliant. (Note that the First Law only specifies that a robot must not harm humans; Corrupted Objects are fair game.) Doctor Chernov's dying request to Titan was for him to protect mankind, which promptly became his prime directive, and he is capable of disobeying direct commands in favor of saving people. Because of this, Titan was subsequently locked up by Future-At-War and purchased by Coffin Company at a bargain as an AI capable of disobeying orders is considered quite dangerous, even if Titan himself has good intentions when doing so.
  • Shoulder Cannon: His main weapon is a 155 mm gun built into his shoulder.
  • Super Prototype: While his body was eventually mass-produced with a simpler program, Titan retains a fully functional AI that allows him to think for himself and defy orders he deems inappropriate.

R7 Irregular Scouts

The four start off in "Tale of a Girl and a Mercenary", then cross paths with Coffin Company in Episode 5. After the Replacer Incident has been resolved, Charlie unwittingly gets himself, Jessica, and Orca hired by Coffin Company to pay off the damage Orca did to the company fridge. By Episode 6, they've officially become Coffin's third squad.

    Eddie Fisher
Voiced by: KR: Hyesung Kim JP:
Type: Soldier
Role: Ranger
Rarity: SR
"Eddie, mercenary. I'd like to know what to expect from your company."
A mercenary of the R7 Irregular Scouts with a penchant for getting jobs done for an exorbitant amount of cash.

He is the protagonists of Orca's Side Story.

  • A Day in the Limelight: He and Orca are the protagonists of Orca's Side Story.
  • A Father to His Men: In Episode 5, John Mason gains Jessica Green's trust by talking about his utmost respect for Eddie's leadership, and admitting that he learned his own mercenary skills directly from Eddie.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: He is a playable unit even though he dies during the climax of Orca's Side Story. He's the first character players are likely to encounter that introduces the idea that a character's playable status doesn't necessarily guarantee Plot Armor.
  • His Story Repeats Itself: He watched his daughter slowly become a Corrupted Object over years and ultimately be put down, and the only reason he lives is that it was her dying wish. When Orca is about to succumb to her Watch's influence, Eddie manages to inject her with refined Eternium to bring her back to her senses, but is mortally wounded in the process. His dying words to Orca are to continue living no matter what, because "there's someone out there who hopes you'll live".
  • Outliving One's Offspring: He watched his daughter be put down after she succumbed to her Eternium sickness and transformed into a Corrupted Object.
  • Papa Wolf: He initially planned to make use of Orca so that he can get his team to safety, but he finds himself caring for her well-being because she reminds him of his daughter.
  • Parental Substitute: When he discovers that Orca has amnesia and doesn't know her identity, he takes it upon himself to care for her.
  • Posthumous Character: In-universe, he is explicitly dead by the end of Orca's Side Story, which occurs around the same time as Episode 1. His farmable, playable version introduces the fairly important concept of Gameplay and Story Segregation for the roster: just because someone is playable doesn't mean they're safe from ill fortune in the story. The origin of his playable self is a mystery: none of his lines mention Orca, and the flashback scene unlocked with his Nameless Fairy Tale skin shows him greeting the CEO as if they never met before when his daughter accepts the CEO's bunny doll gift, implying that a version of him saved the CEO in a previous world.
  • Support Party Member: He has two separate passive skills (one for Soldiers and one for Counters) that buff both attack and defense.

    Jessica Green
Voiced by: KR: Gowoon Park JP: Yukiko Motoyoshi
Type: Soldier
Role: Striker
Rarity: R
Team: R7 Irregular Scouts
A member of the R7 Irregular Scouts, a country girl who left her farm and picked up mercenary work.
  • The Captain: From Episode 6 onwards, she's the leader of the Eddie Squad.
  • Country Mouse: A country girl who left her small rural farm for something bigger. While she doesn't particularly care for mercenary work, it's the only thing she has.
  • Stepping Out for a Quick Cup of Coffee: In "For the Uncrying," she notifies Horizon that her status as a wanted felon and mass murderer due to being framed for massacring Jehuty Biotech employees means Coffin Company can no longer give her official support in her hunt for Wilbur Whateley. However, if Jessica just so happened to misplace the flash drive containing Wilbur's location and their plane just happened to be stolen while they weren't looking... well, that would just be negligence as opposed to aiding a wanted criminal.
  • Those Two Guys: With Charlie Rockwood after Eddie's death and Orca joining them.

    Charlie Rockwood
Voiced by: KR: Ahn Janghyuk JP: Mitsuki Nakamura
Type: Soldier
Role: Defender
Rarity: R
Team: R7 Irregular Scouts
"Yo, Boss! Call me Charlie. Let's get rich together. What do you say?"
A member of the R7 Irregular Scouts who previously was a minor football player in college.
  • Dumb Muscle: In Episode 5, Jessica berates Charlie for getting duped out of their stash of Eternium by a Dark Network dealer.
  • The Big Guy: Of the R7 Irregular Scouts, and later the Eddie Squad.
  • Jumped at the Call: He was a star football player in college, but left to join a mercenary group after hearing stories in the bar.
  • Those Two Guys: With Jessica Green after Eddie dies and Orca joins them.

    Orca

"Name's... Orca... My objective is... to destroy Corrupted Objects..."
There's a rumor that a Counter with a bright red watch will sometimes appear in corrupted areas, tirelessly and recklessly fight the C.O.s, and disappear without saying a word. Few believe this rumor, in part because no-one agrees on what this Counter looks like.

In actuality, there is no single person named Orca; the bright red Counter Watch contains Orca. The Watch's current owner is an amnesiac girl with little memory of her previous identity; all she knows is that she needs to destroy Corrupted Objects...

  • Amnesiac Hero: She desperately wants to remember her previous life before she came across her red Watch.
  • Animal Motifs: Orcas, naturally. Her Rearm's Ultimate even shows off the discharged energy as an orca.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Being the smallest and youngest of her team, and of Coffin Company as a whole (unless you count Sigma's current personality as being younger), means she often gets treated as such, with Charlie and Jessica having a rather parent-like dynamic with her.
  • Balance Buff: Given a Rearm that improves her attacking and regeneration skills.
  • Berserk Button: The presence of Corrupted Objects causes Orca to undergo a violent Split-Personality Takeover until those C.O. are killed.
  • The Berserker: When Orca gets going, it takes a lot of help or Eternium to calm her down again. She gets slightly better about controlling herself after meeting Eddie. By the time she appears in Episode 5, she's fully capable of reining Orca in, seemingly even able to calm it somewhat.
  • Chain Lethality Enabler: If she lands a kill with her Ultimate, her next Ultimate's cooldown is reduced by 40 seconds; with good enough Skill Haste gear she can potentially spam her Ultimate against a line of enemies. Her Rearm allows it to hit two enemies at once when fully leveled; if both of those targets die, she can re-cast her Ultimate instantly.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: The game distinguishes "Orca" from its host by showing its name in red.
  • The Comically Serious: Orca's expression rarely shifts from a brooding frown and she mostly talks in a dull monotone, even when doing childish things like indulging in sweets and throwing the occasional tantrum.
  • Exhausted Eye Bags: In her default skin, she has noticeable dark bags under her eyes, likely due to "Orca" pushing her to exhaustion to kill Corrupted Objects while neglecting her needs. Her Rearm and alternate skins lack them while also looking much less disheveled, suggesting that she's had time for self-care.
  • Healing Factor: She recovers from wounds at a supernaturally fast rate. In-game, it's reflected by a passive ability that heals her every time she gets a kill. Her Rearm instead gives health regen when she takes damage.
  • Legacy Character: "Orca" is an entity contained in a red Watch, and the Counters it possesses inherits its name by association. Eddie mentions encountering it before when its host was a 40-year-old man.
  • Leitmotif: The eponymous ORCA, a melancholic yet resolute rock theme reflecting both her tragedy and determination. Also has a piano remix for quiet drama moments.
  • Little Miss Badass: A tiny, seemingly school-aged girl that also happens to be a powerful Counter capable of cleaving through Corrupted Objects like butter.
  • Madness Mantra: "Corrupted Object... I must kill!"
  • Nerf: Her Rearm received one shortly after proving to be too effective as a frontliner, raising her cost by 1 and tweaking her regeneration to be more in line with other characters' values.
  • Never Say "Die": An interesting in-universe case; at her team's encouragement, she changes her Pre Ass Kicking One Liner from "I must kill" to "I must smash". While she is still killing Corrupted Objects, changing the phrase helps her stay in control while doing so.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name is unknown on account of her amnesia, so "Orca" is the only identifier she has.
  • Primal Stance: She has a noticeable hunch in battle, likely a result of the "Orca" personality taking over.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: Orca's usual introduction to anyone that happens to cross her path is jumping onto a C.O. and madly hacking it to bits with a dagger. Her split personality also has no qualms about hurting people, though she has enough willpower not to.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: She has a big, prominent one that often hides her lower face and mouth when she's not in berserker mode.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely:
    • She usually dresses like a stereotypical "hobo", wearing a tattered and dirty Sailor Fuku, an equally-careworn overcoat, a beanie, her Scarf of Asskicking, some boots and some bandages, with her hair kept in a rough braid. Her anniversary skin, meanwhile, involves her new Coffin friends helping to get her into something prim and proper for once, and needless to say, the difference is absolutely mind-blowing. With a little red dress, some very cute heels, her hair done in a formal ponytail and a generous number of bows, she's halfway to unrecognizable.
    • In her Rearm skin, she trades out her knit hat and old uniform for Letting Her Hair Down and a clean white shirt with a red tie.
  • Secret Snack Stash: Her touch animation on her Rearm shows that she has a small pocket dedicated to chocolates.
  • Situational Sword: She excels against Corrupted Objects as she gains a massive damage bonus against Corrupted Objects and Replacers, along with self-healing on kill and the ability to chain-execute weaker enemies with her ultimate.
  • Split Personality: There's Orca the amnesiac girl, and there's "Orca" the spirit of the Watch who sometimes assumes control over her. Episode 9.5 reveals that "Orca" is a split personality of Demon Lord Leviathan, representing her instinct.
  • Split-Personality Takeover: The "Orca" entity forcibly takes over its host and drives it to blindly kill Corrupted Objects at the expense of all restraint and reason, leading to the host eventually dying of exhaustion and neglect of their own needs. Eddie states that, even though she has limited control over Orca when they first met, it's only a matter of time before Orca fully takes over and inflicts this fate on her. However, Eddie treating and bonding with her seems to have successfully quelled Orca, as she eventually became able to fully control the split personality and even seemingly calm it.
  • Sweet Tooth: She prefers marshmallows due to Eddie first using some to get through to her, though anything sweet is enough to get her attention. This applies to both sides of Orca after she gets better control of the split personality, to the point where it can be reined in by the threat of being denied snacks.
  • Terrifying Rescuer: Orca has rescued people from C.O.s on occasion while on the warpath. As she's usually in deranged Screaming Warrior mode at the time, those people are often just as terrified of her as they are of the monsters she brutally slaughtered.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Marshmallows. She roasts some in her camping skin, and her anniversary ball skin involves her being amazed at the combination of marshmallows and a chocolate fondue machine.

Maze Division (Unmarked Spoilers)

    As a group
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maze_division.png
The Maze Division in action. Left to right: Valeriy (Administration Shieldman), Lyudmila, Alex, several Administration Riflemen
An elite division of the Old Administration forces, contact with them was lost during the Administration Failure as they held the line for the evacuation. However, the division's commander, Lyudmila, eventually comes back into contact with Lee Sooyeon, and they are eventually recovered and returned to service under the Administrator once more as part of Coffin Company.

They debut in "End of the Maze", and their members play supporting roles in several other side stories.

  • Badass Army: They rank among the most competent divisions in the Old Administration, which is no small feat.
  • Covert Group: After being recovered, they effectively become Coffin Company's in-house black ops unit whose existence is only known to the CEO and Sooyeon. In "Year-End Party", none of the other employees and guests recognize Alex when she shows up and claims to be a friend of Machine G.A.P.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite predominantly wearing red and black in their uniforms, the Maze Division are all heroic people.
  • The Last Dance: Their response to being told that they could become C.O.s at any moment? Suit up for battle as there's a horde of Doppelgangers outside the ship to fight. Fortunately, most of the division survives and is able to have their lifespan extended.
  • Living on Borrowed Time: Their containment in Coffin-6 for decades in the Counterside has left them with terminal Corruption Syndrome in spite of Coffin-6's protection measures, meaning that they're effectively doomed to become C.O.s. The procedure done on Lyudmila at the end of "End of the Maze" means they're able to stick around as themselves a while longer, but only while she lives and maintains her sanity.
  • Mother Russia Makes You Strong: While it's never commented on, all named members of the Division have Slavic names (including Alex, which can be short for "Alexandra"), and they're among the toughest Determinators in the whole setting.
  • True Companions: Alex's motherly nature and Lyudmila's protectiveness of her troops means that the men respect them very much in return, making them very tight-knit.
  • Walking Spoiler: Their very nature gives away quite a bit of information about the world and the CEO, to say nothing of the how much is revealed in their debut side story.

    Lyudmila

Rarity: SSR, ASSR
"This familiar smell... It's the Normalside, isn't it? Finally, I'm back."
The former Captain and Commander of the Old Administration's Maze Division. Believed to have disappeared twenty years ago.

She's a main character in "End of the Maze", and debuted as a Counter Pass unit.

  • Afraid of Blood: According to Lee Sooyeon, Lyudmila used to pass out at the sight of blood when they joined the Administration at the same time. After witnessing many of their colleagues die or get hurt in the field, she went through combat training to work past that fear, because Sooyeon convinced her she won't have to see a drop of blood if she simply blows the enemy to bits at a distance; she'll be too far to see the results, and they won't be able to harm her colleagues.
  • Alternate Self: Doppelganger Lyudmila is the main antagonist of "End of the Maze", whereas the Lyudmila who joins Coffin Company is her near-identical Shadow.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: The Lyudmila that approached the CEO and Lee Sooyeon in the Normalside was actually a Doppelganger-type Shadow, and the real Lyudmila was presumably lost during the Dive twenty years back. Subverted when the real Lyudmila is revealed to be alive, having fought in the Counterside that entire time. Double Subverted when Sooyeon tells Lyudmila that the latter has become a Demon-type C.O. due to her exposure to the Counterside and hadn't realized it. Despite that, she has the Heroic Willpower to remain entirely sane, if at the expense of needing more Eternium (fortunately not actually required from the player).
  • BFG: Her primary weapon and Exclusive Equipment is a naval artillery cannon which she operates telekinetically. It's even named "Big Gun"!
A remote-controlled naval gun that matches Lyudmila's belief in "size does matter".
  • Big Damn Heroes: After being absent for all of "Carnival" undergoing treatment with the CEO, Lyudmila shows up right at the climax of the event alongside Horizon to save Maze Division and Mors from Elysium Philharmonic.
  • The Captain: Of the Maze Division.
  • Cursed with Awesome: By the epilogue of "End of the Maze", Lyudmila has accepted her new form as a Demon-type C.O., since she was able to save the surviving members of the Maze Division by transferring into herself the Corruption that would have claimed them. Even though she will be suffering eternal torment until she either collapses from the pain or dies (at which point the Corruption will claim the others in turn), her troops can always be with her through her newly acquired Shadow World.
CEO: Because the original absorbed the Doppelganger, you ended up becoming a much higher tier C.O. than I imagined. And you got a bunch of new intriguing abilities thanks to the procedure. The Shadow World is a sort of alternate dimension within you. The folks who had their Corruption transferred to you can reside in your Shadow World and come back out whenever you wish. They said they'd stay in there for the time being. The Normalside's atmosphere can feel pretty aggravating for those who have been corrupted.
    • Her Awakened form showcases her as a Demogorgon-type C.O.
  • Flight: As an Air unit, she can't be attacked by units that can't attack Air enemies.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: To avoid an Interface Spoiler, she is not classified as a C.O. in her base form.
  • Heroic Willpower: Her sense of duty is so strong that she retained her sense of self as a Demon-type C.O. Exaggerated when she accepts enduring the pain of containing her entire Maze Division's Corruption within herself just so they can continue fighting together.
  • Hunter Of Her Own Kind: This technically applies to the Lyudmila that Sooyeon and CEO find in the Counterside after Doppelganger Lyudmila attacks them.
  • Meaningful Name: Her Awakened form gives her the title of "Kresnik" which is a shaman or vampire who hunts evil vampires. An appropriate title for her technically being a Hunter Of Her Own Kind.
  • The Men First: Lyudmila puts the safety of her troops ahead of everything, even herself. When Sooyeon reveals to her that she became a Shadow, Lyudmila is initially devastated at the revelation, and is fully willing to let Sooyeon execute her just because of the chance of her slipping and hurting them; later, she eagerly accepts the procedure to take all of the Maze Division's Corruption into herself, enduring pain for the rest of her life just so they can have more time.
  • Mind over Matter: A very strong telekinetic, whose power is known to be rare and formidable even among Counters. She can use her abilities to fly, operate heavy artillery, and even throw entire buildings at enemies, with her ultimate in-game dropping an entire wrecked ship on her target.
  • A Mother to Her Men: She cares deeply about the members of her division, willing to fight on the frontlines as much as possible to protect them. The Maze Division has the lowest turnover rate of all of the Old Administration's units as a result. This is one of the things that tipped Sooyeon off that the Lyudmila who came to her wasn't the real deal: Lyudmila would never leave her troops' side like that, especially with them stranded in the Counterside.
  • Mundane Utility: The end of "Year-End Party" reveals that the party's venue was generated in Lyudmila's Shadow World to cut down on rental costs.
  • Named After Someone Famous: Possibly named after Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a famous Russian sniper.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: Her uniform cuts down into her midriff.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: After absorbing her Doppelganger in the climax of "End of the Maze", the latter admits defeat and says she'll be watching how long her original can hold out as a Demon-type C.O.
Doppelganger Lyudmila: I might as well see how long you'll keep this up... as I lay inside you.
  • Superpower Lottery: In-universe, her ability of telekinesis is rare, and her handle on and potential with it even rarer.
  • Terrible Artist: She's mentioned to be awful at arts and crafts, to the point that her handiwork has unintentionally scared children. That bear figurine on her belt? It was apparently supposed to be a bird.
  • Theseus' Ship Paradox: "Bottom of the Shade" shows that when Rita Arsenico and Dash became Ministra and Spira, respectively, their souls were crystallized in Alternium, and the CEO reunited them in an Afterlife Antechamber by purifying it. The Lyudmila who survives "End of the Maze" is technically her near-identical Shadow, but she is Lyudmila, too.
  • Token Heroic Orc: The first Corrupted Object seen in the game that is unambiguously and voluntarily heroic. The only other non-malicious C.O.s seen so far are Lucid's pets and Morsnote , the former of which are non-sapient and following Lucid's commands while the latter is an unpredictable Anti-Hero.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: She's initially unaware that she became a Demon-type C.O. and brushes off Sooyeon's initial claims of such as a joke, until Sooyeon points out the signs: she's fought for twenty years in the Counterside without signs of Corruption syndrome even when it's reached critical levels in her subordinates, she can't remember the last time she ate, and she lost an arm and half her torso which are growing back as corrupted flesh (not reflected in her portrait, thankfully). She doesn't take it well, at least initially.
  • Walking Spoiler: Even for a member of the Maze Division, a lot of her personal info comes from revelations in the story.

Rarity: SSR
"Having a hard time with the kids? I can help with that."
Deputy Commander of the Old Administration's Maze Division. A clone created by the Administration's enemies, she was recruited by the Administration.
  • Balance Buff: Got a rearm that improves her defensive capabilities, and changes her class to Defender.
  • Ballroom Blitz: In "Year-End Party", she heads to the Coffin Company holiday party under the excuse of wanting to try the food and proceeds to temporarily brainwash most of the guests and cause mass chaos, just for the hell of it. She gets berated by the CEO and Lyudmila after the fiasco, and in "Academy Field Day" Seo Yoon still clearly remembers her as the one who trashed the party.
  • Berserk Button: She doesn't take well to being reminded of her origins. Uttering the names of Mors or the Elysium members provokes her.
  • The Berserker: At 50% HP, she gains a boost to her stats, and her cut-in even changes to show her Blood Knight side.
  • Breakout Character: She became an instant favorite out of a very well-received event. It led to her being the most popular character in the game for some time.
  • Clone Angst: She's relatively melancholy for her position and the reason for her birth. To make matters worse, she was abandoned for being a failure in her creator's eyes.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite her Red and Black and Evil All Over aesthetic and Blood Knight tendencies, she's actually a heroic character and a good person.
  • It Amused Me: Her motive for being the Killer of the Holy Night in "Year-End Party"? She got bored from being cooped up in Lyudmila's pocket dimension and wanted to have some fun, and also entertain the rest of the division.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Thanks to a popular webcomic idealizing her as such, she got a Naked Apron skin like in the webcomic (with a sweater underneath).
  • Number Two: As Deputy Commander of the Maze Division, she leads the group when Lyudmila is absent, which is shown in "Carnival".
  • Parting-Words Regret: A variation with actions rather than words. In "Academy Field Day", she recounts to Seo Yoon that Valeriy had a Sweet Tooth and would often stash sweets on his person during training, and she would always confiscate them. She expresses regret that she never allowed him to have any before he died.
  • Ship Tease: In addition to being a Team Mom, she acts as if the Administrator was a literal Team Dad, referring to her teammates as "our kids". In her "Lethal Guardian" skin, not only does she act like she's his wife, but a photo of him and a model of Machine G.A.P. can also be seen on the shelf above her.
  • Team Mom: She calls her teammates "kids", and often treats them as if they were her and the Administrator's children. In her "Lethal Guardian" skin, she also mentions making boxed lunches for everyone.
  • True Sight: She can detect stealthed units. In "Academy Field Day", she's the first adult capable of seeing Sky through her Perception Filter, albeit only partly.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: She gives an Armor-Piercing Response in this vein to Sooyeon when the latter tries to execute Lyudmila for being a Shadow, telling her that even though Lyudmila's now a C.O. she's still their devoted commander, in the same way that Alex is a clone yet still a very different person from her template and siblings. The rest of the division agrees with her, standing by Lyudmila's side.

    Yegor
An Administration Rifleman in the Maze Division who is Alex's most prominent subordinate.
  • Guest-Star Party Member: He is a distinct unit in "End of the Maze" and "Carnival", with a Deployment Cost of 4 and no second Administration Rifleman to pair up with him. In exchange, he has a Special in which he plants a landmine.
  • Mauve Shirt: Yegor is effectively an Administration Rifleman with a name, getting enough lines to stand out as a character in his own right but never taking on a particularly prominent role, nor does he become a collectible character. Subverted in that he does survive "End of the Maze".
  • Nobody Here but Us Statues: In "Year-End Party", Alex brings Yegor to the Coffin Company's year-end party as an "exhibitory sculpture".
  • Number Two: When Lyudmila is elsewhere during "Year-End Party" and "Carnival", Yegor essentially serves as this to Alex.
  • You All Look Familiar: He's one of the many Administration Rifleman clones of the Old Administration.

    Valeriy
An Administration Shieldman in the Maze Division.
  • Character Death: He is dead by the end of "End of the Maze". The playable Admin Shieldman (or rather, Shieldmen) is a separate clone from him.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: His response to his arm being ripped off from the damage done by the Shadows and his own corruption is mild surprise. He later invokes this when he's mortally wounded by the Chronos C.O.; judging from Lyudmila's pained reaction, he's playing off his injuries to not make her sad.
  • Mauve Shirt: Valeriy is effectively an Administration Shieldman with a name, getting enough lines to stand out as a character in his own right but never taking on a particularly prominent role. Unfortunately, he doesn't survive "End of the Maze".
  • Taking the Bullet: He protects Lyudmila from the Category 6 C.O. Chronos, and is mortally wounded.
  • You All Look Familiar: He's one of the many cloned Administration Shieldmen of the Old Administration (as non-cloned Shieldmen exist).

    Tasha
An Administration Sword Fighter in the Maze Division.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite being part of the Maze Division, Tasha gets a relatively small role in "End of the Maze", and is only present in Part 2 via her Doppelganger. Notably, she's not even mentioned in "Year-End Party", "Academy Field Day", or "Carnival".
  • You All Look Familiar: She's one of the many Administration Sword Fighter clones of the Old Administration.
