openA tv show that served as a proto-youtube Poop Western Animation
I only saw part of one episode in a hotel room, about 25 years ago, so details are going to be sketchy. I think it may have been on the Cartoon Network.
The show was spliced together from various cartoons and shows, in a style which we would nowadays call a youtube-poop, cutting rapidly between clips to set up silly jokes. Hannah Barbera cartoons, in particular The Perils of Penelope Pitstop, were used, but also clips from WCW wrestling. The episode I saw featured a clip of one wrestler mentioning the song "Rap is Crap", which puts it after 1999.
The episode featured Penelope Pitstop, tied up, being rushed backwards and forwards by the Ant Hill Mob who are simultaneously rescuing and endangering her. I can remember specific quotes:
"I have a plan that's fool proof!" [cut] "SO WHAT?!"
"I have a new song, it goes-" [cut] "-RAP IS CRAP!"
"The plan is called-" [cut] "RUNAWAY STEAMROLLER!"
etc
Edited by maninahatopenPost-apocalypse sci-fi movie where men hunt virgins Film
I don't remember where I saw this, but I think it was a 1990s or 2000s film, possibly 1980s. I must have seen this over ten years ago. It looked like a very low-budget B-movie. The costumes looked very cheap and the acting was terrible. The introduction showed a post-apocalypse kind of society where men hunted down virgin women. The women were stereotypically dressed in all white costumes. The men were hunting the virgins to use them for trading (for slavery or forced marriage). I remember a man chasing a woman (dressed in white) through a desert looking area with dirt and boulders. She was desperately trying to escape him. He caught up to her and wanted to rape her instead of capturing her, which would have ruined her value since she would no longer be a virgin.
I only remember watching a few minutes of the beginning and I thought it looked like a terrible film so I stopped watching. Since then I have grown a certain appreciation for low-budget B-movies so I'm interested to know what it is. It is possible that it was one of those "skin flicks" they used to show on Cinemax, Showtime, and HBO late at night in the 1990s and 2000s, but really I could have seen this anywhere.
openNo Title Literature
One of my friends checked out a book from the library about 2005-2009 ish and I always wanted to read it. It was about a group of girls and they all got matching tattoos on their birthday. One of them chickened out and didn't go and they all turned against her. Then it turned out that the evil tattoo artist was using the tattoos to control them and make them do evil things.
resolved flash animated belgian cartoon about a girl and a firefighter Western Animation
There was this old show I used to watch as a kid about a girl whose cat gets stuck on the roof of a church and she tries to get it back down with the help of a firefighter (I think his name was Bob?). After a series of mishaps they end up in a different country and the rest of the episodes in the series involve them traveling all over the world just trying to find a way back to Waterloo, Belgium. It was an edutainment series, each episode presented you with a problem and you had to choose the correct solution to the problem out of 3 options. The firefighter was fat and had a stubble I think, and the girl had red hair in pigtails.

Edited by Tremmor19openMovie, 2 Kids sabotaging Dad's new relationship
I vaguely remember this movie, I think it was kind of old, maybe pre-80's?
There was a rich father with two kids, a boy and a girl. I think their mother passed away. And the father started dating a new woman, who the kids didn't like, so they tried pulling different stunts. They were at a fair with a ferris wheel, and maybe one of the kids ran off, and then another scene with a toy remote-controlled car. In the end they accepted the new lady after everything. There was also a fancy dinner at some point, near the end?
I saw this when I was very little and it's bugged me ever since.

openA reincarnation novel with a fat crippled Literature
I forgot the name of a novel, if someone can help me please.
The mc transmigrates in a game or novel world. He is in the body of a fat child. Because his father hates him he locked his potential after birth, poison him and even put a gu inside his body so he will die painfully when he turn eighteen. The reason the mc is fat is because of the parasite. Each day the mc had to drink a sort of tea that fed the parasite and made him fat.
Iirc the father did that because a ghost once take possession of his body and the mc body is the child that was make when he was possessed so he doesn't consider him his own and killed his mother, the woman he married when he was possessed.
It's not a a cultivation novel. The power system has mages and knights. If I remember there something called Mage and Mana gates, the original body had the chance to be born with both opened but the father poison him.
At some point the mc explore a place with a treasure and met an assassin sent by his former fiancee, the assassin is a woman who used an artifact to conceal her gender.
openDID Anime scene Anime
I once saw a scene in an anime where three women had apparently been sentenced to death. All three had their hands bound in front of them in a futuristic version of stocks and the woman selected to die first was obliged to bend over so that her stocks would lock into this pillar thing, the effect being sort of like a pillory, only with her neck exposed for the headsman’s axe. Just as the executioner was raising his axe for the chop, the women’s male ally managed to intervene and save all three.
openGirl and Boy on a Train Western Animation
Children's cartoon, possibly of UK origin, circa the late 1990s.
The setting felt Victorian/Turn-of-the-Century and focused of two characters: A little girl with dark hair, pale skin and a red dress and a young boy (who I think was poorer) with red hair, pale skin and a brown waistcoat suit. There may have been an older character who was a relative of the little girl who minded them.
The tone was grounded, don't really recall the story, but they went from place to place, I think. The art style, if I recall correctly, felt sort of like moving storybook illustrations. Sketchy, colourful, looked like colouring pencils and watercolour.
I definitely watched this a few times when I was very young, but all I really remember is the intro: the girl and the boy are on a train, with the carriage windows down. I think they go through an tunnel and the boy's face gets covered in soot.
openDesert Island Survival Literature
I remember reading a book around 20 years ago (although it wasn’t new then) about a family (from England, possibly the north) moving to a desert island, written from the perspective of their son. It wasn’t a particularly long book, and it was at least partially autobiographical (pretty sure it was marketed along the lines of being “a real life Swiss Family Robinson”) but I’ve not been able to find it anywhere since. Some things I’m pretty sure it included: a description of their original house in England being in a traditional workers terrace; the island being an atoll, given I’m pretty sure that’s where I learned the word atoll; a description of fishing in shallows off the beach; leaving the island and perhaps returning at a future point for a short period. I think at least the son (there was another child iirc) who wrote the book was still in school when they moved onto the island, but that’s about all I can I remember and it’s driving me a little crazy…
openKorean Movie- Good Girl + Bad Girl Film
This was a movie on You Tube back in 2010-2011 when they weren't as on top of pirated material.
I remember watching a lot of Korean movies around the same time (like Jenny and Juno) but I'm not 100% sure this was Korean.
There were two girls at the same school, one was a goody-two shoes stereotype, with straight hair, she was a really good student, and a "bad girl" who slacked off and maybe rode a motorcycle/moped and had this layered wavy hair and bangs.
I think the smart girl was in charge of tutoring the rebel girl, or they had a pact to get one girl's grades up while making the nerdy girl cool or something.
They used to hang out at the same place, a cafe maybe, red background. I think they originally met up there to study.
In the end they both had the same hair cut like the rebel girl, and maybe both sped off on the motorcycle.
I wish I had more to go off of but this was 10+ years ago when I was really young.

Edited by cantrememberresolved Merlin + Potions Western Animation
my little sister has been trying to find this show/movie/short forever, but she doesn't remember a lot:
it's about merlin, she thinks, or a wizard/warlock dude who looks like merlin, and he has a wall of potions. she is pretty sure he had the classic blue robe/hat with stars
it's not shrek 3 or sword and the stone, would've had to have been mid-2000s or earlier
any ideas?

Edited by cantrememberopenIdol show with a gorilla? Anime
No really the first thing that comes to mind about this anime is that one of the higher ups is an gorilla. But for more context: The anime is about three idols and their manger living in either space or a future world where I think aliens existed. I do remember the anime’s runtime was short but how long each episode was is a blur. That’s unfortunately about the only stuff I remember.
So does anyone know what the anime’s name was or am I the only person who remembers this oddity?
Edited by eirigfiopenkorean(?) anthology film series? Film
a while ago i watched this series of movies. they were korean i think but it could be a different country. i watched it through a friend streaming them on discord. apparently there were a lot but i only watched a few. i asked that friend about the title and they just said "strange tales i think?" which gives me nothing, do you know how many tales there are bro let alone strange ones. i was wondering if someone knows these films. i remember several of the stories. spoilers i suppose. the stories between the stores were always narrated by this one old man. one of the stories involved a child praying to a shrine that she would get every question on the test right, and it comes true and warps the world around her wrong answers so they are correct, which makes havoc ensue. another story involves a character who gains a condition where they often hear music and have to act along to it, and she finds another person with the same condition. i dont remember exactly how it ended but i do remember they died because of a certain special song. another story involved a man finding a supernatural NES game, which would summon the man's childhood friend who would play the same game with him when he was young. i dont remember a whole lot about this story but i remember something about the childhood friend dying in a river on their way home. another story which i can only remember the concept of was about a world where snobby business men acted like dogs. the last story i can remember and put into words was about a story about half the length of the other ones about a golden egg. i dont remember anything else about it.
if anyone could help me find these films that would be GREATLY appreciated, they were really fun
openSpecific Phineas and Ferb quote Western Animation
On YMMV.Phineas And Ferb, under Accidental Innuendo, this quote is listed:
"Wow...Heinz Doofenshmirtz is way too hot, we should get out of him."
As someone who grew up with this show and probably saw just about every episode of it, I have no idea what episode this line came from. Does anyone know.
openVillage game from late 2010s (deleted?) Videogame
Hello, I remember a village game that was probably on most phone and tablet app stores back in the late 2010s. It might have been deleted, I don’t know.
It is closest to the game Virtual Villagers in its gameplay. You would try to grow this community and see it progress. The villagers were cartoony humans.
The map had a river in the upper part and land everywhere else. There was a major quest where you had to save a child that was in a basket. The child was supposed to be in the river and you had to craft a thing to help them get out.
I’m pretty sure it existed.
openRoad movie / action thriller (probably 1990s)? Film
I'm looking for an American road movie / action film / thriller, probably from (the second half of) the 1990s. My memory is very fuzzy and unreliable, but I dimly remember the following:
- a family travels by (a red?) car and is harassed by a (biker / rocker?) gang on a desert highway
- some family members (mother and/or daughter?) are kidnapped or tricked to come with the gang
- father sets out to rescue them(?)
- mother has short, dark brown hair
- "realistic" thriller (no comedy / horror / scifi / fantasy)
- set in USA
- climax: shooting in a biker bar(?)
- some similarties to "Breakdown" / "Kalifornia", but none of the two; probably lower budget, no famous actors (at least I don't remember any), possibly a tv movie.
Thanks a lot for any hint!
Edited by clueless66openLooney Tunes/Merry Melodies cartoon
I remember seeing a vignette style Looney Tunes or Merry Melodies cartoon when i was very little. I remember some of the skits: One was a large man drinking cow milk and then mooing like a cow, another involving squares where the "audience" closed their eyes and the screen went blank (a brief time the eyes opened and the narrator said "no peaking"), another one had a man chopping a tree shouting "Timber!" But it was then revealed to be just a stump. Anyone know this cartoon?
I'm looking for an old anime, probably from around early 2000s or maybe late 90s. The main characters is a duo of a man and a woman, and they're some kind of thief. Each episode follows a different heist where they steal a specific MacGuffin. The reason they're doing this is because they were contacted by their boss or something, and the boss told them to get something important, but the connection cut off before the boss could tell them what it is and they just resorted to stealing everything and checking whether or not the MacGuffin they stole that episode was the right one or not. They always return the items if it's the wrong one.
