no idea when you were a kid but W.?
no, the kid was brown. also i probably would've watched it around late 2000s-early 2010s.
This post is brought to you by Diarmuid Zbump. also should've mentioned, the series was done in this simplistic, most likely 3d artstyle with bright colours.

This post is brought to you by Diarmuid ZPlease give at least the decade when you saw this, region/territory would also help.
AFK with issues, will returnlate 2000s to early 2010s. and i’m in thailand, but some of the channels i watched at the time also broadcast stuff from maritime southeast asia ( malaysia, singapore, that area )
This post is brought to you by Diarmuid ZForgive me, I've not noticed you mentioning the years before, it was very late...
I have a few more questions:
- Where would you place the character's proportions on this◊ chart?
- the monster/creature, what were some of its characteristics, difference in size with the kid, bipedal/quadrupedal, overall colors?
- where there other characters?
- 2D or 3D?
I was afraid you'll say something like that, because I visited the region a few years back, and usually put a TV going for some background noise, quickly realized that all the programming that was available was entirely original... shut it off most of the time, least I end up searching for something myself.
Though it may prove prohibitively difficult to find out in the end, I will try.
AFK with issues, will return-the kid had quite exaggerated proportions. big round head, scrawny little body. i don't remember anything about the creature's appearance except it was... well, a creature.
-there might've been background characters who were wild animals and things you'd normally find on a tropical island
-already mentioned, but it was in a simplistic 3d style.
-the channels i watched had a fair amount of western shows as well.

i was writing stuff and got reminded of this show i watched as a kid!
it was a short-form cartoon about a kid who lived with some kind of creature on a desert island. the kid might've looked like one of 'em Hollywood Natives and had dark skin and curly hair that went spiky whenever they got mad, while i don’t remember anything about the creature other than how the kid got mad at them often. characters were Speaking Simlish. i distinctly remember the kid yelling something that sounded like "hey! chobulay babulay!" at the creature in one episode bc it was a sort of inside joke among my family.
despite the similar theme of fantasy indigenous tribes, it isn't Qumi-Qumi
