Main Characters of I’ll Love You Every Day

Characters cast into the lead roles of the romance novel I'll Love You Every Day.

    Chaerin Eun/Huisu Kim
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster08_chaerin_eun_2.png
A woman who became Chaerin Eun, the main protagonist of the novel. When the zombie outbreak happened and she ended up in a death loop, she almost gave up, if it wasn't for a meeting with the Unknown Extra, who instilled a new hope for survival inside her. Other characters only appear as featureless shadows to her until they’ve opened up their heart to her and trust her. She is known to have the worst reputation in class.

Her real name is Huisu Kim. In her previous life she was a 28 year old college student, who ended up taking her own life because of depression.

  • Character Development: She started off season 1 as a selfish, love obsessed, suicidally depressed woman who wants escapism from the real world into the wish fulfillment story of I'll Love You Everyday and also who hides information to her classmates and lied to them because she considers them as unimportant extras. By Season 1 finale and the premier of season 2 she has became determined to survive the apocalypse and tries to be honest and not manipulating the people around her to earn their trust.
    • By the end of season 2, she returns to the real world and has chosen to not given up on her life anymore.
  • Crocodile Tears: Is shown to have used eye drops to fake cry and continue the story of the book this way.
  • Determinator: By the end of Season 1 she has gain a newfound determination to rescue everyone from her class in order to stick it to the original Chaerin's plan to plunge her into despair.
  • Did You Just Scam Cthulhu?: She turned Se-Eun / The Devil's own rule against them by forcing them to not be able to do nothing and make her classmates giving to despair.
  • Dreaming of Times Gone By: Has dreams and occasional visions, particularly when someone dies, where she sees the memories of her classmates, even from previous timelines.
  • Given Name Reveal: Her real name, Huisu Kim, isn't revealed until over halfway through Season 1, when she decides to stop trying to be Chaerin Eun.
  • Loving a Shadow: By the end of Season 2 she realizes that she doesn't really know or love Jeha nor does she really know his feeling to her is genuine. This caused her to reject him.
  • Important Haircut: After it was demonstrated by Rina she cuts her hair down to a short bob so others can't grab onto it anymore. It's also meant to symbolize her resolve to protect everyone in her class.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: This is revealed to be her biggest wish behind the creation of the novel I'll Love You Everyday: To have someone to love her even when she messes up.
  • Irony: When Mihui almost got killed by zombies when trying to make a livestream, she ends up chastising her for being so careless with her life, when in the previous cycle the Unknown Extra did the same to Chaerin, who was ready to give up her life. Doubly ironic when it's revealed that the Unknown Extra is Mihui.
  • Physical Scars, Psychological Scars: Despite all physical wounds disappearing when she goes back in time, she kept a prominent bite mark on one hand from the very first time she got attacked by the zombies.
  • The Reveal: She is the author of I'll Love You Every Day.
  • Scars Are Forever: Although all physical wounds are supposed to disappear when she goes back in time, she kept a bite mark from the very first time she got attacked by zombies.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Huisu is repressing a lot of memories, such as how she left her original world, or the truth of her connection to I'll Love You Every Day.
  • Wake-Up Call: Receives one from the Unknown Extra about valuing her own life and paying more attention to those around her after she almost let herself be killed by the zombies due to having lost the will to live.

    Jeha Yu
The male lead of the novel and Chaerin’s supposed romantic interest, who was meant to confess his love to her at the end of the day, if it wasn't for the zombie outbreak. One of only two people whose face Chaerin was able to see at first.
  • Advertised Extra: He is featured prominently in the cover, but he very quickly lost importance by the end of Episode 5.
  • Big Damn Hero: When Huisu completely gave in to despair and agreed to a deal with the Devil to resume the plot of I'll Love You Everyday, he is the one who rejected the plot and triggered the memory regain of everyone surrounding him. This also caused the Devil to lose the bet.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Despite his unassuming, clueless personality due to being kept Locked Out of the Loop, he is shown to be extremely dangerous, albeit mostly unwittingly:
    • In episode 50, it is revealed that he was used by the original Chaerin to become an advanced zombie and create other advanced zombies in the school to make the cast's situation even more dire so Huisu will give in to despair. After this reveal, he bites, turns and merges with Minwoo to become an advanced zombie and then proceeds to kill a sizable amount of the supporting cast.
    • In episode 95 he kills the advanced zombie Seyeong Jin in one hit without breaking a sweat. The other class members also stated that all of the zombies in the hallway cower in fear of him.
    • In episode 97 he kills the original Chaerin after mistaken that the former was attacking Huisu.
    • In episode 99 he is the only person who retained all of his memories and free will from the previous loops that caused him to reject Huisu, prompting the memory of everyone else in the cast to return.
  • Demoted to Extra: He is the male lead of the original romance novel but because of the zombie apocalypse Chaerin is forced to focus on survival and bonding with her fellow classmates, so his screentime and plot importance diminishes significantly after the first five episodes. He only comes into prominence in episode 50 of Season 1 and the tail end of Season 2.
  • Satellite Love Interest: He was created by Huisu as a wish fulfilment love interest for the female lead Chaerin. This is deconstructed through the course of the story in several ways:
    • At the end of Season 1 he is revealed to be the Patient Zero of the advanced zombies. The original Chaerin used him and his role as the male lead love interest to lure Huisu to the music room to drive Huisu to despair and cause her to give up resisting the plot.
    • In Season 2, when he tries to follow the original plot of the romance novel and confess his feeling to Huisu, she realizes that she has only been loving the idea of him and not the real Jeha, causing her to reject him. This causes him to completely break down and have an existential crisis.
      • The very next episode after this event also further deconstructs his role as the male lead: Because he was created solely to love the original Chaerin, when she gains sentience and will she can't be sure if he really loves her or if he is just reading off the script. This causes her to made a deal with the Devil to let the both of them escape to the real world to see if they can love each other without their actions and feelings being dictated by the original plot, kicking off the plot of the webcomic.
    • He finally grew out of this trope by episode 99 when he realized that the Chaerin he confessed to isn't the real Chaerin.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: It is revealed that he was used by the Black Hair Chaerin to make the zombie apocalypse even worse for Huisu by turning him into an advanced zombie that can bite and produce other advanced zombies.

    Minwoo Ha
The second male lead of the novel and one of only two people Chaerin was initially able to see. Following the virus outbreak he became the leader of a group of male students, who holed up in the school shop. He’s the twin brother of Seonwoo Ha.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Rina calls him her "little pop rock".
  • Badass Decay: Remarked upon and explained In-Universe. He starts off Season 1 as a minor villain who occupied the school convenience store with his two friends, was associates with the boy who killed the Unnamed Extra in one of the timelines and comes with a self-made gun. However, because the outbreak happened a lot sooner in Season 2 he has little trust and power among his peers, leading him to almost got killed by the zombies until Rina and Chaerin's intervention.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Appears with his group just in time to save Chaerin, Mihui and Cheram after they accidentally freed the zombies trapped in the principal's office.
  • Curtains Match the Window: His eyes have the exact same shade as his golden-blonde hair.
  • Foil: As the second male lead he's obviously meant to be one to Jeha in the original story. Compared to the tender and loving Jeha he's described as snappy and acts very calculated.
  • Half-Identical Twins: Characters point out multiple times how identical he looks to his twin sister Seonwoo.
  • The One Guy: With Jeha being Demoted to Extra very quickly, he became the sole male character with any kind of focus in the main cast.
  • Promoted to Love Interest: His role in the original story was to be the false lead to Chaerin. However, the more time he spend with Rina the more he grows to like her and the two of them begins to get to know each other as friends.
  • Romantic False Lead: His role in the original story was to be one for Chaerin.

Class 2-3

    As a whole
  • Action Girl: Juri, Rina, Jihyeon, Jinhui and Yeri are the most physically active girls before the zombie apocalypse and thus the ones who do the most of the fighting during the stories.
  • Action Survivor: The majority of the cast of that aren't Action Girls or Chaerin (who is familiar with the apocalypse due to the time loop) are just ordinary girls who try to survive their circumstances. This is later subverted with Se-Eun who is revealed to be the Devil.
  • Ascended Extra: The entire class are supporting extras in the original novel. However, after the Nameless Extra rescued Chaerin, she decided to shift her focus to bonding with her classmates. This is severely deconstructed throughout the story because Chaerin's treatment of them as unimportant extras compared to herself and Jeha caused them to distrust and resent her even when she is trying to bond with them.
  • The Blank: Because of their original status as unnamed extras; all of them start off as blank silhouettes until they start to trust Chaerin.
  • Cast of Snowflakes: All of the girls in the class have distinct hairstyle, features and even body types compared to each other.

    Seonyeong Kim
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster1_seonyeong_kim.png
Number 1 in the student list of Class 2-3. Her locker is always filled with various objects. In the original story her locker was the place where bullies would always hide Chaerin’s things.
  • Eyes Always Shut: The happy type with her eyes in an arc.
  • Fun Size: So small that even Chaerin is shocked when seeing her for the first time. When she decides to stop being a supporting character, she stops being drawn this way.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: In Season 2, Juri, Jinhui, Chaerin and herself are trapped inside the bathroom with zombies outside. With Jinhui's recent eye injury preventing her from fighting their way out, the amusingly miniature, passive, Seonyong's resolve is awakened after realizing the need to take action. Her gag appearance is dropped and she is drawn more reasonably to match the others as she begins to take point in using her storage skills to get them out of there.
  • Out of Focus: Has the least amount of screentime and characterization in the main cast. Her reason to trust Chaerin in both timelines wasn't even revealed or explored until the tail end of Season 2.

    Hana Do
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster02_hana_do.png
Number 2 in Class 2-3. The class president, who is compassionate and has information on everyone. Over her phone she constantly keeps up with information from the other classes.

  • Class Representative: Is the one of Class 2-3. She is stated to be helpful, compassionate and have information on each of the class’ members.
  • Compelling Voice: As a super zombie she's able to mind control anyone she's talking to on the phone.

  • Badass Biker: One of her notable abilities is being able to use her motorcycle in combat.
  • Big Damn Hero: In season 1, she is the person who takes out the advanced zombie in the schoolyard using her motorcycle after the group fails to defeat it.

    Rina Song
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster04_rina_song.png
Number 4 in Class 2-3. The strongest and most violent student in the class, to the point even the actual class bully has nothing on her. In the original story she was the one who bullied Chaerin the most. Has a massive crush on Minwoo Ha.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Parodied. When Se-Eun / the Devil is scammed by Huisu to play Rock Paper Scissors, Rina overpowers Se-Eun despite technically losing the Rock Paper Scissors game.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Is the first one in class to openly speak up against Chaerin and rebel against her plans to save everyone.
  • I Just Want My Beloved to Be Happy: She's perfectly willing to give Minwhoo to Chaerin if that's what makes him happy. In fact, the only reason she antagonizes Chaerin in the original story is because she's hurting Minwhoo by choosing Jeha.
  • Mirror Character: To Chaerin/Huisu. Both project themselves onto characters in novels. Both are obsessed with their love interests to the exclusion of everyone else.
  • Mutual Kill: When Minwhoo gets infected and turns into a super zombie at the end of Season 1, she let her self be left behind to hold him off as they clashed and kill each other in the process.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: Is crushing very hard on Minwoo and tries to impress and/or charm him every chance she gets, usually to the opposite effect. Though she admits she's willing to let him go if that person makes him happy.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: She's so obviously based on Lu Bu from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms that even in-universe several characters feel the need to point it out. Fittingly he's also her role model.
  • Promoted to Love Interest: During the course of the story Minwoo finally develops fondness for her and they decides to get to know each other better as friends.
  • Too Dumb to Fool: When Seyeong tries to convince her into helping to isolate Chaerin from the rest of class it fails completely due to Rina being too simple-minded to manipulate. As Chaerin puts it, you can always win an argument against Seyeong if you don't have any logic in the first place.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Rina sees herself as this, always follows Minwoo around and jumps to his rescue during the zombie apocalypse. This also extend to protecting his sister Seonwoo.

    Mihui Yang
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster05_best_girl.png
Number 5 in Class 2-3. A livestreamer whose friends are very precious to her to the point she only believes what they tell her. In the original story she created a video dissing Chaerin.
  • Cute Little Fangs: In more comedic scenes she's often drawn having one.
  • Damsel in Distress: What’s the first thing she does after her proper introduction? Getting pulled out of the classroom by zombies when trying to livestream for her MeTube channel and needing to be saved by everyone else.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Is being captured by zombies because she tried to livestream the situation for her MeTube channel. Her real one happened a bit earlier though. As the Unknown Extra she saved Chaerin’s life and instilled a new hope for survival in her.
  • The Heart: She is the most optimistic of the class and frequently encourage everyone to stay positive and believe that miracles will happen, which clues Chaerin in on her identity as the Unnamed Extra. This is later deconstructed by the tail end of Season 2 because when she has a breakdown over escaping the world of the story and found it being destroyed, Chaerin quickly gave in to despair as well, exactly as the Devil intended.
  • Girlish Pigtails: How her hair looks like when she opens up her sidebuns.
  • Go Through Me: Protectively places herself in front of Chaerin when Ms. Lee loses control and attacks her.
  • Irony: Chaerin has to chastise her for almost throwing her own life away for a livestream. Later she is revealed to have been the Unknown Extra, the person who saved Chaerin from throwing her own life away needlessly and chastising her for it.
  • The Reveal: She is the Unknown Extra.
  • Super-Deformed: The main recipient of this.
  • Wake-Up Call: Had to be chastised by Chaerin for valuing her phone over her life so she could continue live streaming and keep her friends.

    Jinseon Yeom
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster06_jinseon_yeom.png
Number 6 in Class 2-3. The class' honor student.
  • Awesome by Analysis: She has the best grades in her class and her booksmarts has helped the cast defeat an advanced zombie by combining chemicals to cause explosives and neutralize the acidic property of an advanced zombie.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: She's quick to shut down Hana and Se-eun's attempts to sway Yeri positively towards Chaerin. She's quite curt, and it directly hurts Chaerin's efforts to win over the class, but she brings up the very real point that it's hypocritical for them to try and speak positively about her when the two of them had in fact bullied Chaerin quite a bit in the past. Hana admits to herself that she has no idea how to refute Jinseon's point and she has to take a moment to self-reflect.

    Shinbi Yun
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster07_shinbi_yun.png
Number 7 in Class 2-3. She's very shy and introverted, but very skillful with her hands. In the original story she made a voodoo doll of Chaerin.
  • Patient Zero: Even though there's not exactly a specific defined patient zero in this story, Shinbi is treated as this by the story, as she is the only student in Chaerin's class to get infected prior to entering the building.
  • Sacrificial Lion: She is the first named and face revealed character to die in the tail end of Season 1 after being impaled in the stomach by an advanced zombie.
  • Shrinking Violet: Easily the most withdrawn member of the class.
  • Voodoo Doll: Created several of these in Chaerin’s likeness, each with a nail through the heart.

    Jihyeon Jung
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster09_jihyeon_jung.png
Number 9 in Class 2-3. A member of the volleyball team. The original story doesn't talk much about her.
  • Bifauxnen: Easily one of the most handsome girls in the class. Despite being in an all-girls class many readers initially confused her for a male.
  • Cowardly Lion: Her major character development is her admitting to everyone and herself that she is scared and does not want to sacrifice her own life, and that she wants to live despite knowing that she will be a burden to others.
  • Dying as Yourself: After she got bitten she decided she'd rather be useful and sacrifice herself to lure away the zombies than bring her friends into danger.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Gave the class a final laugh before leaving to lure the zombies away.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Having already been bitten and infected, she chose to leave the safe classroom to lure the zombies outside away and protect everyone from herself.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Huisu written for her to sprain her ankle the day before the apocalypse. This caused her heavy angst and made her feel useless and a burden to her classmates.

    Seyeong Jin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster10_seyeong_jin.png
Number 10 in Class 2-3. The closest the original story had to a main villain. Led the bullying of Chaerin to break her and Jeha up due to being in love with Chaerin herself.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Both her deaths are treated in a sympathetic light as all she ever wanted was to stop the voices telling her what her character is and how she should act, something Chaerin could somewhat relate with. This causes the others to give her a second chance at life even after they already escaped the bounds of the story.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: In episode 92 She willingly turn herself into an advanced zombie to break Huisu's willpower in order to help the original Chaerin.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death:
    • In season 1 she she is pushed into Jinseon's trap, a set of strings covered in glass shards meant to cut incoming zombies into pieces.
    • In season 2 after becoming an advanced zombie, Huisu and Minwoo easily subdue her after discovering her weakness to loud noises. And then Jeha comes in and one shot her without breaking a sweat.
  • Death Seeker: She craves the peace death brings as it is one of the only ways for the voices in her head to stop. She's very much annoyed the others brought her back to life after the story is done.
  • Here We Go Again!: After she was killed, Huisu and the rest of the cast wrote a new story for her to be the main character, and Se-Eun / The Devil made the same deal to her as the deal of the original Chaerin.
  • Manipulative Bitch: She is very manipulative to other people in order for them to turn on Chaerin in order to isolate the latter and then swoop in to "love" her. In season 2 she begins to manipulate the people around her to turn on Huisu in order to serve the original Chaerin's purpose.
  • Psycho Lesbian: She is jealous and resentful because of her unrequited love for Chaerin. This is deconstructed in later chapter when it was revealed that her "love" for Chaerin is because of her going along with the narrative. When the original Chaerin appeared, she discovered that the the voice in her head clear whenever Chaerin is near her. This caused her to side with the original Chaerin to sabotage Huisu.
  • The Resenter: It was revealed that she has regained her memory from the previous time loop a while ago but she is extremely resentful of Huisu because Huisu has the strength to fight against the narrative while she is too weak to do that. This is the main reason behind her siding with the original Chaerin.
  • Take That!: Chaerin seems to dislike the yandere trope. Although her disdain for Seyeong later bit Chaerin in the ass when she sided with the original Chaerin because she resented Huisu for not giving up to the voice like her.
Chaerin: Why does every online novel have a character like this?!
  • Weaksauce Weakness: After being turned into an advanced zombie, she also became extremely sensitive to loud noise. This led to Minwoo and Huisu to easily subdue her in the music room and then Jeha one shot her.
  • Yandere: Is one towards Chaerin. In the original story she manipulated the class to bully Chaerin in hopes of it driving a thorn between her and Jeha, so she could try and gain Chaerin for herself. Of course she also tries her best to take advantage of the zombie outbreak to get together with Chaerin. She seems to grow out of this trope with the reveal that Chaerin is actually the author Huisu, coldly stating that she isn't the real Chaerin and refusing to trust Huisu. This trope later came back in full force when the original Chaerin appeared and she wants to force Huisu to give in to despair, but this is deconstructed as she only "loves" the original Chaerin because she is the only one who can quiet the voices in her head.

    Jinhui Choi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster11_jinhui_choi.png
Number 11 in Class 2-3. An overconfident girl who's highly capable in swordfight, but becomes depressed if she doesn't hold an acceptable weapon. She's known as the third strongest girl in class.
  • Ambiguously Gay: When Rina breaks down the shop door to impress Minwoo, the only person shown to be romantically affected by it is her of all people.
  • Chuunibyou: Sees herself as so powerful that she had to "seal away" her abilities with an eyepatch. She also likes to shout out her attack names while fighting and names every weapon she sees.
  • Epic Fail: One time during elementary school she ended up in ER when trying to do somersaults.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Wears a medical eyepatch most of the time to seal away her overwhelming powers, fearing that life will become boring if she doesn't. It changes positions daily.
  • Hypocritical Humor: When characters talk about the world being just a novel, she's always the first to call them out on how ridiculous they sound.
  • In-Series Nickname: Often called Huidol by her classmates due to being a Dolainote .
  • Master Swordsman: Trained in swordfighting and can easily mow down hordes of zombies.
  • Mood-Swinger: Switches between two very different moods. Normally she's despressed and down on herself, but while holding a sword she instantly becomes lively and confident.
  • Youthful Freckles: Part of her character design.

    Yeri Pyeon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster12_yeri_pyeon.png
Number 12 in Class 2-3. Her notable characteristic is being an in-fighting boxer.
  • The Atoner: In season 2, she suffers great remorse over her actions in getting infected and inadvertantly contributing to having Jihyeon sacrifice herself in the previous loop. After the latter is rescued, she apologizes to Chaerin/Huisu and makes a promise to do better. She makes good on this later on by being a key player in taking out the adaptive advanced zombie when it invades the science lab.
  • Despair Event Horizon: After realizing that she's infected and the others want to remove her from the classroom she snaps and threatens to not only let in the other zombies but to bite everyone trying to stop her.

    Seonwoo Ha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster13_seonwoo_ha.png
Number 13 in Class 2-3. Minwoo Ha's twin sister. She's naturally cautious and suspicious of others and doesn't act until she's fully convinced of something. In the original story she didn't think it was right to bully Chaerin and helped her by introducing her to Minwoo.

    Cheram Han
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster14_cheram_han.png
Number 14 in Class 2-3. A member of the school's gymnastics team.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: Isn't particularly afraid of the zombies and also has no qualms about using the amount of violence necessary to deal with them. Why? Because she played lots of zombie horror video games.
  • Master of Unlocking: Only needs a safety pin to open the lock of the chained principal's office. She says she picked up this skill when doing escape rooms.
  • My Greatest Failure: She considered failing to realize Ms. Lee was lying about being infected to be her greatest regret and what drove her storyline in Season 2.
  • Stepford Smiler: She is essentially the unofficial class mediator and always tries to keep the peace between her classmates, even if it means that she has to hide her own thoughts and opinions. Even during the zombie outbreak she tries to keep up morale with jokes and claims that the stress doesn't affect, though later it's revealed that she's affected by it the same as everyone else.

    Se-Eun Ham
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/classroster15_se_eun_ham.png
Number 15 in Class 2-3. A gullible person who believes everything others tell her. Due to her oddly convincing way of talking she’s able to easily spread rumors. In the original story she was the one to spread nasty rumors about Chaerin. By the end of Season 2, she is revealed to be the Devil who masterminded the entire plot of the webcomic.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Being a Devil who escaped her original story, she is keenly aware of the existence of the readers and exploited it to reap souls and gain powers.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Believing Chaerin’s story of being a time traveler from the future and convincing the others in the class to do so too. Shortly after her real personality as the Devil is revealed, she immediately makes a deal with Jihyeon.
  • Exact Words: Naturally, as the Devil she is very careful about the deals she made and turning every single off-hand comments before her reveal into some kinds of bet in order to further her plan. This is later turned against her by Huisu who reminded her of the rule of the classroom she agreed to in one of the loops.
  • Faux Affably Evil: As the Devil, she is nothing but polite and respectful to everyone, even when she is making deals and plans to reap their souls by making them feel complete despair.
  • Humble Pie: After spending the entire series smugly manipulating the cast, Jeha retains his memory, causing everyone else to regain their own memory and break the narrative while bringing the original Chaerin back to life has caused her to humble herself. She spent the next chapter desperately trying to keep her plans going, only to be foiled when Huisu turned her Exact Words tendency against her.
  • Humanity Is Infectious: Downplayed as she still wants their souls but she herself admits that she's grown rather fond of the class as a whole, even going so far as to give Seoyong a new chance at life and a story at their request.
  • Gossipy Hens: Her main characterization is her love of gossips and spreading rumors. Huisu manipulates this characteristic of her for her own ends. This is later subverted and revealed to be an act, as she only spreads gossips and rumors that directly helped her goals.
  • Medium Awareness: As the Devil, she is throughly aware that she is in a webcomic and directly exploits the power the readers gave her and people in the story.
  • Idiot Hair: A prominent one to underline her gullible nature.

  • Super Gullible: One of her main character traits. When Chaerin claims to be sent from the future to prevent the class’ deaths, Se-Eun believes her without question. This is later revealed to be an act in order to let her classmates gaining free will so she can reap their souls.
  • Willfully Weak: She appears as one of the weakest and most defenseless of the entire class, being killed immediately by an infected Hana. This is despite the fact that she's the Devil and has complete control over the narrative and could prevent her death at any second. This most likely to make others not suspect her.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: The reveal that she is the Devil.
  • Xanatos Speed Chess: She is very quickly think on her feet, such as her plan to deal with the advanced zombie. This is because she is the manipulative Devil, who alters her plan from just reaping Huisu's soul to reaping the soul of everyone in the class when she realized Huisu's influence are making the characters gaining a soul.
  • Wins by Doing Absolutely Nothing: Her last ditch attempt to win the bet after everyone regaining their memory is refusing to do anything and let everyone gives up to despair. This strategy is foiled by Huisu who used her Exact Word against her.

    Ms. Seolim Lee
The homeroom teacher of Class 2-3. Very popular in class due to her kindness and youthful manner. Enabled Chaerin being bullied by actively turning a blind eye to it.
  • Accidental Murder: Causes the deaths of everyone in Class 2-1 by accidentally letting in the zombies.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She puts on a caring act, but she isn't as nice as she seems.
  • Dirty Coward: A rare female example. Unable to accept the reality of being infected, she hides her symptoms by wounding herself and feigns sympathy with her class by lying about her actions since the outbreak. When Chaerin tries to reveal the truth she attempts to manipulate the students into sending her back into the zombie-infested halls.
  • Zombie Infectee: Was bitten prior to reaching the class and hides the fact from them in hopes they'll rescue her.

  • Medium Awareness: Not being a part of the story anymore, she is able to see the readers and even directly addresses them a few times.
