Occult Research Club

Formed by Rias Gremory during her first year at Kuoh Academy, the Occult Research Club is the extracurricular club that our heroes are a part of. Despite the club's name, very little actual research is done; after all, the members are not (or in some cases, no longer) human. The club is just a front for Rias, her "family," and later, other supernatural beings, and it provides cover for their operations; namely dealing with paranormal activity and destroying hostile supernatural beings. They get involved with the FMian invasion after Rias reincarnates Netto as her Pawn.
    In General
  • Adaptational Badass: Applies to the group as a whole. Most notable in the fight against Raiser, where they won unlike in canon.
  • Back from the Dead: A good number of members in Rias' peerage had died right before she reincarnated them into a Devil. The only exceptions being Netto, Akeno, and Koneko.
  • Badass Crew: Hell yeah! Even more so than in canon.

     Netto Kusanagi
The protagonist of the story, Netto is a first-year student of Kouh Academy who has a bad reputation with most of the girls there due to an incident involving the Hentai Duo. He is also Rias’ Pawn, worth 8 pieces.
  • Accidental Pervert: He’s viewed as another pervert by a majority of the girls in school because the other perverted boys often use his talent try and peep on girls, with less than successful results.
  • Chick Magnet: This being a DxD fanfic, it’s to be expected. Ironically many of the girls at Kouh Academy hate his guts but are infatuated with his Mega Man persona.
  • Composite Character: Takes the given Japanese name of the Battle Network protagonist with the personality, backstory, and history of the Geo Stellar.
  • Covert Pervert: It be a lie to say that he wasn’t at least a little interested in the opposite sex, he just has much better control over it than most of the other schoolboys.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He has his moments.
  • First Kiss: Has his with Rias after the Rating Game with Raiser.
  • Likes Older Women: His preferred type are frisky, strong girls who know how to have a good time and have a big sister feel.
  • Lovable Nerd: The guy is a total nerd about astronomy and engineering. His parents are scientists after all. And that’s not counting his reactions to when the girls flirt with him, Rias especially.
  • Nerd Action Hero: Smart, nerdy, and can kick plenty of ass.
  • Technopath: He can manipulate and talk to machines, even before Omega-Xis showed up. He describes it as ‘hearing the inner workings and examine the structure of a machine or appliance by touch.’ He can even guess what a machine can do just by looking at it, though he’s sometimes wrong.

  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Doesn't like how other girls (particularly Akeno and Lala) get close to Netto.
  • Corporal Punishment: Her preferred method of punishing disobedient peerage members is by spanking them, something Netto learns the hard way in Chapter 29.

     Akeno Himejima
Akeno Himejima is Rias's confidante, subordinate and fellow member of the Occult Research Club and her Queen.
  • The Ace: She is quite skilled and adaptable in combat, to the point that some of the other characters are fearful of facing her due to her abilities as well as her Queen ranking. Didn’t stop Gemini Spark from utterly trouncing her when they first fought, though.
