    Princess Ivy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stf_princess_ivy.PNG
Voiced by: Anna Camp; Sari Ann Stolt (Finnish dub), Annevig Schelde Ebbe (Danish dub)

A wicked princess who appeared in the special, "The Curse of Princess Ivy". When she tried to overthrow her older sister to gain the crown, she was caught and imprisoned on an island for a decade. When Amber stole Sofia's amulet, the bad deed she committed set Ivy free. While Ivy lacks a way to get to her own kingdom, she feels Enchancia will do just fine to rule... and to stay free, she must destroy Sofia's amulet.

  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: She can conjure butterflies and uses them for magic and spying purposes.
  • A Darker Me: Ivy embodies the evil that Amber could become if she doesn't change her ways, specifically becoming susceptible to the evils of pride and envy.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: Her outfit and powers are entirely black and white, and she hates color.
  • Entitled Bitch: She believes she deserves the best of everything.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Judging by her use of a headpiece tiara, her kingdom may be Celtic-influenced.
  • Good Feels Good: In "Ivy's True Colors", she has a Heel–Face Turn when she realizes this trope and is eager to continue being good.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She became jealous when her older sister became queen and believed she deserved it more.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: At the end of "Ivy's True Colors", she reforms, but only because she's learned how to be more empathetic and she hasn't really redeemed herself for her past actions. She does, however, apologize to Sofia.
  • Ink-Suit Actor: Her likeness resembles her voice actress, Anna Camp.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: To overthrow King Roland and placate her subjects, she uses amnesia spells to make them forget.
  • Manipulative Bitch: To Amber and the talking dragons.
  • Morality Pet: Roma the skunk. When Roma falls victim to the Deep Sleeps, which could have been prevented had Ivy allowed Miss Nettle to use her flowers to create a cure, it triggers Ivy's Heel–Face Turn (or at least her Hazy-Feel Turn).
  • Pest Controller: She can conjure dragonflies whose bite knocks people unconscious and erases memories. Enough bites can make someone forget everything. She also has flock of butterflies that can drain color from their surroundings but she has less direct control over them, sometimes having to gather them in a net when they disobey her.
  • Pet the Dog: "Ivy's True Colors" reveals that she's treated the animals on her island prison kindly, especially a skunk, Roma.
  • Shadow Archetype: To Sofia, and especially to Amber.
  • The Sociopath: Had attempted to oust her own sister from power, possibly by means of assassination. In "Ivy's True Colors", she learns how to care about others for the first time in her life, complete with a song about how new a sensation it is.
  • The Un-Favourite: Implied Trope. According to her song, they "made [her] older sister [the] queen", implying that it is an elective monarchy note  (unless it is eldest child first and Ivy was upset about being passed over due to the circumstances of her birth) and the only reason she didn't get the throne was because everyone hated her. She tried to overthrow her sister in revenge and "they caught [her] and without a trial, marooned [her] on a desert isle". Either her sister didn't care enough to forgive her and hear her out or no one else cared enough to defend her.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: According to Ivy, after her attempt at "bringing down" her sister for her title failed, she was marooned on a deserted isle without a trial.
  • What Is This Feeling?: When she mourns Roma, who has fallen victim to the Deep Sleep, she asks Sofia what this feeling is and why she feels so weird.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Acts maliciously towards Sofia and Amber and is willing to hurt them.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: At the time of her debut, she was more seriously deranged and threatening than the show's usual bad guys.
  • Villainous Princess: Was banished from her kingdom after trying to overthrow her elder sister, and subsequently seeks to take over another kingdom.
  • Villain Song: "A Kingdom Of My Own". Also doubles as her "I Want" Song.

    Slickwell
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tumblr_inline_nm5lx8v0qq1s8svvs_500.png
Voiced by: Christian Borle

A young steward who serves King Magnus, but really has his eyes on Baileywick's job in Enchancia. Introduced in "Bailey-whoops!", he attempted to curse Baileywick in order to steal his job, but was caught and banished thanks to Sofia, though he swears that they haven't heard the last of him.

  • Ambition Is Evil: Is motivated by his ambition to become royal steward of Enchacia.
  • Bad Boss: During his brief time filling in for Baileywick, he was very pushy and demanding, to the staff's obvious resentment.
  • Bastard Understudy: As King Magnus' steward.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He pretends to be nice and mean well, but in truth he's the exact opposite.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Is very theatrical about his nefarious schemes.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Acts courteous but is a totally self-interested Jerkass.
  • Freudian Excuse: It's implied his motivation to become steward of Enchancia stems from King Magnus' strict regulations and him bragging solely about what Slickwell can provide rather than him as a person.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Clover manages to get the cursed pin on Slickwell's tails, making him clumsy, and proving that he had sabotaged Baileywick all along.
  • Large Ham: Christian Borle is clearly enjoying himself here.
  • Manipulative Bastard: As seen with his actions towards Baileywick.
  • Smug Snake: Shows himself to be sneaky and underhanded, but not as clever as he thinks he is.
  • Villain Song: Sings part of "Helping Hand" in contrast to Sofia's parts.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Like many villains on the show, he vows they haven't heard the last of him after his initial defeat. Unlike the other villains who make this claim, he doesn't back it up, as he is never seen again.

Magical beings

    Miss Nettle
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maxresdefault_19.jpg
Voiced by: Megan Mullally (seasons 1-3), Anna Vocino (season 4)

A wicked fairy who studied under Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather and wants to be better than all of them.

  • Bastard Understudy: The three good fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather taught her and trusted her enough to leave a few of the Students of Royal Prep (Sofia, James, and Desmond) with her, before she revealed her true colours and captured the three of them in bubbles.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: In both her first two appearances, her evil schemes involve pretending to be nice to gain others' trust.
  • Green Thumb: She is an expert in Magic Gardening and in her second appearance, she uses her sidekick Rosey to cover the castle in vines.
  • Heel–Face Turn: She reforms in her third appearance.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: In "Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle", it turns out she was only taking the flowers because the king's gardener had (unknowingly) stolen them from her first.
  • Karma Houdini: While her plans are foiled, she escapes in her second appearance.
  • Motive Decay: In her first two appearances, she sought out ways to increase her own magical abilities (Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather's spellbook in her first appearance, and Sofia's amulet in the second). But in her third appearance, she just attempts to steal all the flowers from Freezenburg because they were stolen from her. When she encounters Sofia, she doesn't even attempt to go after the amulet.
  • Odd Friendship: Forms one with Princess Ivy in "Ivy's True Colors".
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: In "Ivy's True Colors", Miss Nettle is a little too eager to outright steal Princess Ivy's butterflies (which are needed to make a cure for a magical illness). When Sofia rationalizes it as being for a good cause, Miss Nettle scowls "Don't ruin this for me."
  • Starter Villain: While Cedric's been around longer than she has, she's the first magical villain that Sofia directly faces off against.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: In "Ivy's True Colors", it is revealed she is the fairy looking for a cure for the Deep Sleeps that cause animals to inexplicably sleep, and has created a flower to cure the Deep Sleeps: The Wake-Upsy Daisy.
  • Villain Song: "Make Way for Miss Nettle." Also, All You Desire.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: In "The Enchanted Feast", she had a talking rose named Rosey as a sidekick. Rosey hasn't appeared since then.

    Mamanu
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mamanu.png
Voiced by: Angelique Perrin

An Evil Sorceress hailing from the kingdom of Hakalo. She was introduced in the "The Emerald Key", where she disguises herself as the visiting princess of Hakalo to get the titular key, but was foiled by Sofia and Princess Lei-Lani. She manages to escape however and vows to return, which she does in "Stormy Lani".

  • Evil Is Hammy: Has an incredibly overdramatic way of speaking her every line.
  • Evil Sorceress: Quite evident.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Hakalo appears to be the Ever Realm's equivalent of Hawaii.
  • Horned Humanoid: Though it could be a headdress. It's not really clear.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: In her second appearance, she has a snake named Milo acting as her (very enthusiastic) minion.
  • Revenge: Primary motivation, she wants to get even with the King and Queen of Hakalo for banishing her.
  • Smug Snake: In "Stormy Lani", she repeatedly shows herself to be less competent than she'd like to be.
  • Spot the Imposter: Disguises herself as Lani to obtain the Emerald Key.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Not quite on the level of Princess Ivy or Queen Shuriki, but she was the first villain to darken the tone of the episode she debuted in, and is more vicious and menacing than most villains on the show.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Aside from disguising herself as Lani in her first appearance, Mamanu shows in "Stormy Lani" that she can also change herself into animals.
  • Wicked Witch: Sorceress in this case, but same deal.
  • Would Hurt a Child: In "Stormy Lani", she attacks Lani herself while in the form of a warthog. However, Lani manages to send her flying with a single gust of wind.
  • You Have Failed Me: She punishes Milo for failing her by turning him into stone. Her dialogue suggests that she's also done this to several previous snake minions.

    The Amazing Boswell
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boswell.png
Voiced by: Liam O'Brien

The antagonist of "Finding Clover". He's a traveling magician who tours different kingdoms, often using rabbits in his magic acts. However, he gives the rabbits terrible working conditions, as Clover found out when he became a part of his show. When Sofia came to take Clover back, Boswell attempted to stop her from taking away his star performer.

    Glacia the Ice Witch
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stf_glacia_the_ice_witch.PNG
Voiced by: Phylicia Rashad

An old witch who lives on top of a mountain. Every Wassalia, she gives a magic spell to anyone who brings her a gift. In "Winter's Gift", she'd given the faun Winter her ice powers that she couldn't control and refused to take the magic back unless she was given a good enough gift.

    The Hexley Hall Pranksters

Three young students of Hexley Hall who set out to play cruel pranks on Royal Prep using their magic in the episode "Substitute Cedric".

  • Moral Myopia: Despite their own cruel pranks (their final one being to cover Royal Prep in bubbles so it floats away), they waste no time protesting after the Royal Prep students turn the tables on them.

    Wendell Fidget
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wendell_fidget.jpg
Voiced by: Ilan Galkoff
Wendell Herman Fidget III is a spoiled rotten young warlock who believes that wanting something enough makes him entitled to have it as his own. In "Minimus Is Missing", he tried to catch Minimus and other flying horses as a birthday gift to himself and is later made to attend Camp Wilderwood by his parents in "Camp Wilderwood", where he learns to socialize with others and have fun without use of his magic.
  • Creepy Child: Acts in a very unsettling manner.
  • Enfante Terrible: Even his parents have had trouble with him.
  • Entitled Bastard: Believes that whatever he wants enough has to belong to him just because he wants it so much.
  • Evil Brit: He speaks with a British accent (bonus points for being voiced by an ACTUAL Brit!)
  • Expy: A boy version of Veruca Salt.
  • Heel–Face Turn: In "Camp Wilderwood".
  • Jerkass: Is absolutely one, at least prior to Character Development in "Camp Wilderwood".
  • Slasher Smile: Is fond of making such faces.
  • Smug Snake: Believes himself to be brilliant and is blind to many of his own faults.
  • Spoiled Brat: To ridiculous extremes. He wished to get a flying horse for his birthday and was disappointed that he got a magic lute instead, so he used the lute to entrance and capture multiple flying horses to compensate.
  • The Sociopath: Shows many signs of having an antisocial personality disorder. Unlike most examples, it's actually portrayed as a disorder and part of who he is, not something that necessarily makes him "evil" or beyond socializing with/befriending others.
  • Villain Song: "Wendell's Way".

    Morgana

Morgana

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stf_morgan_le_fay.PNG
Voiced by: Catherine O'Hara ("Gone With The Wand"), Nika Futterman ("Day Of The Sorcerers")

A wicked enchantress sealed inside a magic mirror, appearing in the episode "Gone With The Wand". She is the Arch-Enemy of Merlin.

    Baron Von Rocha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baron_von_rocha.png
Voiced by: Keith Ferguson

A world famous magical musician. However, his skill is due to him magically stealing the talent from others. In "The Princess Prodigy", he chooses Princess Vivian for his next target, offering to teach her and the rest of the school band magical music. He then separates Vivian from her friends and steals her talent. However, Sofia discovered his actions, and together with her friends, used a counterspell to return not only Vivian's talent, but the talent of all his other victims.

  • The Corrupter: He heaped praise upon Vivian and urged her to become a solo act, all so she would become arrogant enough to drive away her friends, thus becoming an easier target.
  • Fat Bastard: Visibly rotund, and a very unpleasant man.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: After Vivian regains her talent, she uses the magical music skills he taught her to remove him from Royal Prep.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After stealing Vivian's talent, he went back on his word to return the talent he took from his pet songbird Piccolo. In return, Piccolo brought Sofia the counterspell, and revealed Von Rocha's entire plan, setting him up for defeat.
  • Moral Myopia: He calls Piccolo a traitor for siding with Sofia, ignoring the fact that he had betrayed Piccolo first by callously going back on his promise.
  • Timed Power-Up: The talent he steals starts to fade after a while, requiring him to find another victim to steal more from.

    Grimtrix the Good
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grimtrix_0.png
Voiced by: Billy West

Headmaster of Hexley Hall and an old friend of Cedric. Is revealed to be not nearly as much of a Nice Guy as he appears.

  • Disc-One Final Boss: Takes over as this from Cedric in "Day of the Sorcerers", serving as the first major villain Sofia takes on prior to meeting Prisma, the Arc Villain of the final season.
  • Evil All Along: The Reveal toward the end of his debut appearance.
  • Evil Mentor: As Headmaster of Hexley Hall, he's a mentor figure to Cedric.
  • Evil Sorcerer: His true colors once they're revealed.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Acts affable towards others while concealing the fact that he's got evil aspirations.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: In "Day of the Sorcerers", he and his fellow evil sorcerers attempted to use Medusa Stones (which froze the victims in place) to take over their kingdoms. In the end, he ends up getting frozen himself (by Cedric, no less) with the trinkets he intended to use on anyone who crosses his path.
  • Meaningful Name: Grimtrix sounds very similar to "Grim tricks".
  • Nice Guy: Is nice to others to an almost ridiculous extreme, which turns out to be all an act.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Once his true villainy gets revealed, there's nothing comedic about him to be found.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Everyone knows him as Grimtrix "the Good" because of what a good guy he seems to be.

    Prisma
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prisma_6.jpg
Voiced by: Megan Hilty

A devious crystalmaster who debuts in the special "The Mystic Isles". She felt overshadowed by her sister, Azurine, and tried to outshine her by covering the Mystic Isles with crystals only to be stripped of her Terra Crystal and powers by Azurine, so she fled to the Ever Realm to escape the Protectors. Prisma met Sofia and Amber and told them that Azurine is the evil crystalmaster and revealed her true colors once Amber gave her Terra Crystal back. After being defeated and locked up by the Protectors, she managed to escape. Now, guided by the magical Locket of Vor, she seeks the "Wicked Nine", nine objects of great power, intending to take that power for her own.

  • Affably Evil: She's totally self-centered and won't hesitate to step on anyone to get her way, but she's actually pretty friendly and polite while doing it.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Has brownish skin in her powerless state. When she becomes a crystalmaster, her skin turns chalk white.
  • Arc Villain: The only example of this trope the show has, as she is the main antagonist of the "Mystic Isles" Story Arc of Season 4.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: When she first encountered Sofia and Amber, she claimed she had been unfairly banished by Azurine, and that her sister was the evil one.
  • Crystal Ball: After reclaiming her Terra Crystal, Prisma creates several of these which show the Mystic Isles, and she uses these as vessels through which she casts her crystalizing magic on the rest of the Isles. They also serve as Surveillance as the Plot Demands as she spies on Sofia, Amber, and Skye using them.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Amber, much like Princess Ivy before her.
  • Genki Girl: A villainous example. She's very perky, energetic and upbeat, even while plotting to drain all the magic of the Mystic Isles.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Became jealous of her sister for being more talented, which provoked her to become evil. This is complicated by her having a definite streak of The Sociopath.
  • Hijacked by Ganon: As far as the Protectors are concerned, this is what happens to Prisma when Vor, an even older enemy, possesses her.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: In "The Mystic Isles", Prisma grants Amber's "amulet" the ability to conjure a mirror, apparently because Amber only cares for her own appearance. However, when Prisma tries to encase Amber in a crystal for trying to destroy her Terra Crystal, Amber conjures a mirror with her "amulet", reflecting Prisma's own spell back on her and trapping her for long enough for the destruction of her Terra Crystal.
  • Hypocrite:
    • After her true colors are revealed, she mocks Amber, claiming that she "thinks only of herself". This is coming from someone who wants to drain all the magic out of the Mystic Isles so she could make herself the greatest crystalmaster ever, and cares nothing for the damage that will cause.
    • After capturing Azurine, she mocked her sister's attempts to get her to stop her misdeeds, and refused to release her. But once her Terra Crystal was destroyed, stripping her of her powers, Prisma wasted no time begging Azurine not to turn her over to the Protectors.
  • It's All About Me:
    • Her plan is to drain the magic out of the Mystic Isles, so she can make better magical crystals than Azurine. She doesn't care at all that this would end up destroying the Mystic Isles, and the source of magic itself. She only cares about the glory she would get for her creations.
    • When Wormwood brings her Grimhilde's crown, she declares "wonderful teamwork", even though she did nothing.
    • This quality ultimately backfires against her when her quest for power causes her to become Vor's vessel.
  • Meaningful Name: She's a Crystalmaster named 'Prisma'.
  • Moral Myopia:
    • She hates her sister for banishing her, despite the fact that she was willing the destroy the Mystic Isles to satisfy her own petty jealousy.
    • She considers being robbed of her powers to be a great tragedy, but shows no concern whatsoever when her actions rob the inhabitants of the Mystic Isles of their own magical abilities.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Shows genuine remorse after having been possessed by Vor to do evil things far beyond what she intended to do.
  • Never My Fault: When arrested by the Protectors of the Mystic Isles, she blamed Sofia for her defeat, not thinking about her own misdeeds. Finally reversed in the Grand Finale, where she finally does concede that everything is her fault and apologizing to Sofia and the Protectors.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: To Princess Ivy, complete with sister envy. Since Ivy re-appears and makes a Heel–Face Turn shortly after Prisma's debut, Prisma is likely meant to serve as her replacement for the "most dangerous villain in the show" title. They only differ in their personalities, and Prisma being more ruthless.
  • Ungrateful Bitch: Sofia saved her from falling off the edge of the Isle of Crystals during her attempt to escape. Prisma showed zero gratitude, instead blaming Sofia for her defeat.
  • Would Hurt a Child: She is not at all hesitant about attempting to murder Sofia.

    Vor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vor.jpg
Voiced by: Patty Lombard

An evil witch who desired to conquer the Ever Realm. She was killed by the Protectors of the Mystic Isles, but her spirit could not be extinguished and had to be sealed inside of a magical locket. Now, the spirit of Vor advises Prisma through this locket, the Locket of Vor, guiding her in her quest to obtain the items known as the Wicked Nine and obtain their power.

  • Big Bad: Of "Forever Royal", the show's Grand Finale.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: She proudly announces how wicked she is, even having a Villain Song about it.
  • The Corruptor: She claims that she can see the darkness inside people, either their darker traits or greatest fears, and use that against them.
  • Deader than Dead: Sofia uses the Power of Love to extinguish her spirit once and for all.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: After taking over Prisma's body, she makes it her mission to take Sofia's kingdom, friends, and family away from her for the princess's interference in her plans - despite the fact that Sofia barely even knew she existed, and had seen Prisma as the real threat to be stopped.
  • Evil Brit: Has an English accent.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Vor thinks Sofia will be incapacitated and easy to defeat because being trapped in the amulet has brought her greatest fear (being alone without her family and friends for support) to bear. Vor is shocked to see that Sofia can draw inner strength from the love she has for her friends and family.
  • Evil Counterpart: As far as this show is concerned, she is this to Princess Elena - sealed in a magical locket by her enemies just as Elena was sealed in a magical amulet by her enemies (by accident), and helping Prisma by seeking out the power of previous Disney villains just as Elena helped Sofia by summoning the power of previous Disney Princesses.
  • Eviler than Thou: She flat-out describes herself as "the greater of two evils" in relation to Prisma in her Villain Song.
  • Evil Mentor: She served this role to Prisma as a means of manipulating her.
  • Expy:
    • Inside the locket, her face is a mask like that of the Magic Mirror, while her true form looks more like Queen Grimhilde combined with Maleficent.
    • She also brings to mind Ansem, Seeker of Darkness on account of manipulating a young magic wielder to commit dark deeds only to take over their body while also having a fixation on bringing out the inner darkness inside everyone.
  • Final Boss: She is Sofia's last and greatest opponent in the series.
  • For the Evulz: Her entire motivation. She just enjoys spreading evil wherever she conquers.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Of Season 4's "Mystic Isles" Story Arc.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: While at first only seeming to be helping Prisma achieve her goals, once she possesses her she reveals her desire to conquer the Ever Realm...and later, reveals that she plans to expand her conquest toward Neverland and beyond.
  • Image Song: 'Get Wicked' explains her origins and MO.
  • I'm Your Worst Nightmare: As she tells Wormwood.
Wormwood: You are the master of my dreams!
Vor: No. I am the master of your nightmares!
  • Large Ham: Within the locket, she speaks in a Creepy Monotone. Once released from it, on the other hand, she goes all out in bombastic villainy.
  • Manipulative Bitch: Toward Prisma, guiding her in obtaining the Wicked Nine only so that she can be released from the locket.
  • Mind Manipulation: Her greatest power, which she intends to use on everyone in the Ever Realm and beyond.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: After conquering the Ever Realm, she makes plans to take over other worlds via a portal found in the Mystic Isles... the brightest star on the right.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Comes within two seconds of imprisoning Sofia inside the amulet with her, but visions of the Disney Princesses encourage Sofia to use her pure heart to defeat Vor at the last minute.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Because the Protectors could not find a way to banish her spirit, they sealed it inside of a locket instead, which is the state Vor is in when we are introduced to her.
  • Soul Jar: Vor enfused a piece of her power onto the iconic items of the following Disney Villains: Queen Grimhilde's crown and box, Lady Tremaine's key, Maleficent's staff, Ursula's shell necklace, Jafar's snake staff, Shan-Yu's sword, Dr. Facilier's top hat, Mother Gothel's flower, and Mor'du's claw. When all of these items are brought together with the right spell, they grant Vor the ability to escape her prison and continue her wicked tyranny.
  • This Cannot Be!: She literally says this as she is being defeated.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: She is the darkest and most formidable villain the show has ever seen, even going as far as to somewhat surpass Shuriki!
  • Villain Song: "Get Wicked".
  • Villain Override: Prisma has been the main villain of Season 4, but at the last minute, Vor possesses her and turns her into her new physical form.
  • Walking Spoiler: She is this due to being the Final Boss of the series who only truly steps up to the plate in the Grand Finale.
  • Would Hurt a Child: She attacks Sofia repeatedly during their final showdown with the intention of corrupting her.

Creatures

    The Wee Sprites
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wee_sprites.jpg
L-R: Brody, Benngee, Button
Voiced by: Sean Astin (Benngee), Isla Fisher (Button) and Vargus Mason (Brody)

A trio of hedonistic sprites who, once invited into a castle, will not stop making mischief in it until someone gets them to want to leave voluntarily. Appearing in "The Littlest Princess" and "All The Sprite Moves", they are both friends and nuisances to Sofia and her friends.

  • Alphabetical Theme Naming: All their names start with B.
  • Easily Forgiven: Both times they've appeared, they're forgiven and let off easy after all the trouble they cause. To be fair, it seems hard to stay mad at them.
  • The Hedonist: The reason they had no friends before Sofia is because they care nothing for rules or courtesy - they just want to have a good time even if it means a bad time for someone else.

    The Sea Mantacorn
Voiced by: Jonathan Adams

A fierce and dangerous creature who lives in Merroway Cove. Appearing in "Cool Hand Fluke", he's revealed to not be naturally hostile, but he just doesn't like to be bothered by the merfolk.

    The Gargoyles
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/muck_gunk_and_grime.png
L-R: Gunk, Muck, Grime
Voiced by: David Koechner (Muck), Trevor Devall (Gunk) and Keith Ferguson (Grime)

Stone Gargoyles at Aunt Tilly's mansion, seen in "Minding The Manor". When brought to life, they attempt to take over the place. Their names are Muck, Gunk and Grime.

  • Surrounded by Idiots: Muck is often annoyed by Gunk and Grime's lack of brains.
  • Taken for Granite: They were turned to stone at one point in the past. And after being freed, their first act is to capture the enchanted music box so they can't be changed back.

    Grotta
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grotta.jpg
Voiced by: Jessica DiCicco
Appearing in "The Fliegle Has Landed", Grotta was a mean, bossy Fliegle who bullied Gnarly and the other cavern trolls into bringing her shining diamonds or else she'd turn them into Salamanders. It was revealed that she wanted them so badly because she's terrified of the dark. She was taught that asking others for something works better than making demands and she became the trolls' friend and neighbor.

    Crispy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/crispy_the_dragon.png
Don't let his cuteness fool ya.
Voiced by: Mick Wingert

A midget dragon criminal who uses his cute, baby-faced looks to get into people's homes so that he can rob them of their valuables. In "Bad Little Dragon", his act deceived Princess Vivian into adopting him into her castle, where he hoped to rob the jewel vault. When Crackle discovered his true nature, Crispy tried to frame her for all the trouble he was making but was eventually caught and sent to prison.

  • Depraved Dwarf: Is a midget grown up dragon who is motivated by Greed.
  • Evil Laugh: Is almost overly fond of giving these.
  • The Fake Cutie: His entire M.O.
  • Jerkass: He's cruel and insulting to every character he interacts with.
  • Irony: As he's carted off to prison at the end of the episode, he breaks down crying and says he wants his binky, like an actual baby.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: His very plan to frame Crackle for his misdeeds is what eventually gets him caught—while he does temporarily get Crackle kicked out of the castle, Vivian feels guilty and goes to retrieve her, and then comes back just in time to see Crispy stealing the jewels and indulging in evil laughter.
  • The Napoleon: Short stature, big aspirations.
  • No Name Given: Considering Crispy is a name Vivian gave him while thinking he is a baby, it is unknown what his original name was, if he even had one.
  • Smug Snake: Would have pulled off his plan with perfect efficiency if he wasn't so full of himself and partook in too much Evil Gloating.

The Animals

    Twitch
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/twitch_sofia_the_first.png
Voiced by: Jeff Bennett

A strangeling from the Mystic Isles. He allies himself with Prisma, helping her to locate the "Wicked Nine", nine magically powerful objects wielded by the worst villains around.

  • For the Evulz: He offered his services to Prisma because he's always wanted to work for an evil-doer.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: He quickly grew jealous of Wormwood, believing he was trying to take his place as Prisma's partner. He even attempted to sabotage Wormwood's attempt to bring Prisma Grimhilde's crown.
