A foreign film translator and subtitler.
- Accidental Athlete: Her ability at running after a thief in episode 1 causes Seon-gyeom to think of her as this.
- The Ace: Very talented at languages and can switch between Korean and English very quickly.
- Beneath the Mask: Behind her deadpan and independant persona she desperately wants connections and closeness with others.
- Brainy Brunette: She's a linguistical genius and the best at what she does.
- Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Mi-joo is very sensitive to being pitied by others. To the point of it being her Berserk Button
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble: The Cynic
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Melancholic
- Gamer Chick: Is seen gaming at internet cafe's in her (limited) spare time
- Geek: Very nerdy about movies and language
- I Want My Mommy!: Calls out for her mother in a fever-ridden state
- Motor Mouth: Comes with being able to translate languages quickly. She often talks before she thinks leading to many misunderstandings
- The Movie Buff: You have to be as a movie subtitler.
- Not a Morning Person: Usually works through the night and sleeps during the day causing some tension with Seon-gyeom's early riser routine. She begins to make an effort to adjust to his sleeping pattern but quickly falls back into her old habits.
- The Perfectionist
- Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: Is offered a bribe by Assemblyman Ki to spy on Seon-gyeom but hands it back after sleeping on it
- Sour Outside, Sad Inside: Can be pretty abrasive and short to those she likes as a protection mechanism to keep people from getting too close
- Working Through the Cold: Tries to until she is unwell enough that she has to go to the local doctor.
Ki Seon-gyeom

A professional athlete with an unnervingly calm demeanor.
- Antagonistic Offspring: He despises his father's meddling and use of him and his sister.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: He's a very pleasant and mild-mannered person... until you mess with someone he cares about.
- Big Brother Mentor: to Kim Wook-shi
- Brutal Honesty
- Can't Hold His Liquor: Gets drunk very easily as opposed to Mi-joo who has a much higher tolerance.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: When asked to help he won't refuse.
- Contagious Heroism: Inspires others unintentionally through his words
- Defrosting Ice King: Never displays much emotion unless he's with Mi-joo.
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble: The Realist.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Phelgmatic.
- Friend to All Children: Goes out of his way to buy food and equiptment for an athletic school and on the way gives food a to a crying child
- Grew a Spine: Part of his character arc is learning how to stand up for himself and say no to people.
- Hates Being Touched: At least by those he doesn't know very well.
- Lonely Rich Kid: Though Seon-gyeom has people around him, he never seems comfortable with them. Until Mi-joo of course.
- Momma's Boy: Beloved by his mother - in opposition to Eun-bi's status as a daddy's girl.
- No Social Skills: To the point where he has trouble communicating without confusing the other person
- Not So Stoic
- Paying It Forward: Likes to help others and give gifts without the wanting reciprication.
- Pretty Boy: In-universe (and outside of course).
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Yeong-hwa's red.
- Sibling Team: Often with Eun-bi especially against their father.
- The Quiet One: His responses are often short and no-nonsense
- Think Nothing of It: How he responds to being thanked by various characters
- Tranquil Fury: Reacts to Woo-shik's abuse this way.
- Trophy Child: Both Eun-bi and Seon-gyeom are this to Assemblyman Ki.
- The Unfavorite: In a family of winners he is known for only coming second place. Seon-gyeom is content with this - something which his father cannot stand.
- Wealthy Philanthropist: Donates clothes, gear, food, and money to a local athletics training school and would not hesitate to do the same to any friend or stranger who looks like they need it.

Resident alpha bitch but shows signs of a hidden heart of gold.

- Ambiguously Bi: It's unknown whether her claims of being a lesbian (or possibly bisexual) are true or just a way to avoid an arranged marriage
- Cool Big Sis: to Tae-woong.
- The Fashionista: Comes with the territory of being the CEO of a sportwear design company.
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble: The Apathetic
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Choleric
- The Gadfly: Combined with It Amused Me though she claims this is unintentional
- Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Loves fashion and dressing in expensive clothes but always wears trainers just in case she gets the chance to kick a football.
- Half-Sibling Angst: She does not get along with her two half-siblings.
- It's All About Me: She has a habit of turning conversations back to focusing on herself

- Lack of Empathy: At first due to her icy persona.
- Safety in Indifference: Projects an air of indifference to protect herself
- Soap Opera Disease: Suffers from an illness that requires a lot of medical attention and fears of a relapse greatly trouble her father - yet we are not told what this illness is.

- Fist of Rage: Once really pissed off he can be seen clenching his fists in anger.
- Four-Philosophy Ensemble: The Optimist.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: Sanguine.
- Genki Guy: Especially in comparison to Seon-gyeom.
- Men Don't Cry: Subverted. He is seen bawling in the movie theatre and is not ashamed to admit it.
- No Sense of Personal Space: He's constantly getting in Seon-gyeom's personal space once they become friends.
- Oblivious to Love: oblivious to the fact that Ye-Jun likes him
- Perpetual Smiler: To the point where if he's not smiling there is something seriously wrong.
- Rage Breaking Point: In Episode 9 when Dan-ah continuely insults him and tells him that he is nothing special and "just another vending machine" she can use for her own advantage."
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The red to Seon-gyeom's blue.
- Starving Artist: Has to chose between food and rent (or his pride in asking for his money back) in episode 10.
- Suppressed Rage: Prefers to hide his hurt and anger at Dan-ah until he snaps in Episode 9 ruining the artwork she had commissioned from him.
