One of the silently dedicated members of Mukuro's Gang, Chikusa is an ace with yoyos. Not only is he good with them, but they also carry some sort needles that may or may not be poisonous. Along with his usually apathetic personality, this guy spends almost all of his time with his dog-like antithesis, Ken, trying to free Mukuro from his prison. In the future, he's still just as stoic as always, but he does it in style. He also seems to like drinking bottles of stuff.

Kakipi's fandom shorthand is 49.

  • Embarrassing Nickname: Ken and M.M call him "Kakipi".
  • First-Name Basis: He is always referred to as "Chikusa" by Mukuro and Chrome.
  • Killer Yo-Yo: Chikusa's weapons of choice are "hedgehog yoyos", which are bright red yo-yos with a K on each side that spray out poisoned needles.
  • Scannable Man: For some reason, he has a barcode tattoo on his cheek.
  • Scary Shiny Glasses: Chikusa's blank, pupil-less eyes are often hidden behind light on his glasses.
  • The Stoic: He's always calm and never even raises his voice to anyone. Fittingly, his element is shown to be the tranquil Rain.
  • Those Two Guys: With Ken.

Scars Are Forever is something that Ken knows well. You wouldn't feel very much sympathy for him, until you learned of his super Dark and Troubled Past with his companions Mukuro and Chikusa. Other than that, he's just a Jerkass to Chrome, pretty much. Or maybe he's just Tsundere. Who knows. He's just the Team Pet. Literally. He's got Animal Motifs everywhere, being that his main ability is to take on aspects of some violent animal. Think Animorphism meets TV.

Ken's fandom shorthand is 14.

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Most supplementary material, such as the anime adaptation and dramas, like to add in additional scenes that show he secretly cares about Chrome deep down. Compare to this to the manga where it's shown that he lacks any concern for Chrome's safety and openly loathes her for "taking Mukuro" away from him.
  • Animal Motifs: Using his Channels, Ken has a few, including monkeys, apes, several predators, and opossums. Primarily, though, this motif is a dog.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: As a child, Ken was subjected to horrific experiments and tests that gave him his Voluntary Shape Shifting.
  • Hot-Blooded: In contrast to Chikusa, he's very vocal and more dynamic than his partner. Rather fittingly, he uses Sun flames, just like Ryohei.
  • Jerkass: Ken is aggressive and rude to everyone except for Mukuro and occasionally Kakipi.

    Lancia

Lancia

Voiced by: Takeshi Maeda (Japanese), Yong-Jun Kim (Korean)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lancia_reborn.jpg
A young Mafia man whose family took Mukuro Rokudo in as a child. However he was betrayed and brainwashed by Mukuro's Hypnotic Eye, which forced him to kill his entire family. He was then forced to work for The Kokuyo Gang, and fought Yamamoto under the guise of his boss. His memories returned after his defeat, and he went back to Italy, promising to help the Vongola whenever they needed it.

Lancia's fandom shorthand is simply Lan.

  • Big Damn Heroes: Turns up at the end of the Varia arc to kick some ass and cut off the enemy escape route.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The ring he gave to Tsuna acts as a handy Pocket Protector during his fight with Byakuran.
  • Epic Flail: He wields one as a weapon and its engravings are specially designed to make sure it hits you whether you dodge or not.
  • Face of a Thug: Lancia has beady eyes permanently in an angry look, even when he's smiling, and tattoo markings on his face, but under it all, he's very kind.
  • Friend to All Children: As shown when Fuuta, I-Pin, and Lambo use him as a jungle gym.

    Birds

Birds

A Memetic Molester with a Slasher Smile. That pretty much sums up Birds. He threatened the girls (who should've been in the kitchen), and almost got Tsuna to stab himself. The only upside to him even existing is that he introduced Hibird, Hibari's first little pet-thing.

    The Bloody Twins

The Bloody Twins

Voiced by: N/A

A creepy pair or murderous twins, who work along side with the sadistic Birds. Not only do they have ridiculously mutated bodies from their punishments in prison, but they have the horrible methods of killing people that got them there too! They end up getting beat down by Trident Shamal and TYL I-Pin.
  • Body Horror: Their bodies are heavily mutated due to prison.
  • Creepy Twins: Murderous twins with twisted and burned features.

    M.M.

M.M.

Voiced by: Shouko Ishii (Japanese), Hyun-Shim Kim (Korean)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/KHR_M_M__2415.png
The only girl in Mukuro's Kokuyo Gang before Chrome comes along. She reappears in the Future arc.

Her fandom shorthand is simply M.

  • Designated Girl Fight: Tsuna and his group confront her after they defeat Chikusa and Ken, but Bianchi is the one who fought and defeated her.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Her clarinet, when played, creates special sound waves that cause the substance the clarinet is aimed at to boil instantly, which is called 'Burning Vibrato'.
  • Instrument of Murder: She uses her clarinet to microwave and melt things her opponents use as a weapon on her. In a pinch, she can also hit people with it.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While her treatment towards Chrome may come off as rude, she additionally tries to warn her that Mukuro was only using Chrome for his own purposes.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: When she first approaches Chrome in the Future arc, she slaps her to the ground and yells about how gloomy she is. However, their final interaction in the arc has M.M. warning Chrome about Mukuro, displaying that she does hold some concern for the girl, even if it’s partially for her own benefit if she stays away from Mukuro.
  • Musical Assassin: When playing her clarinet it can vibrate sound vibration to agitate water molecules, thus rapidly heating objects to attack her opponents.

    Chrome Dokuro

    Fran
