    General Tropes 
  • Badass Adorable: All of them can kick-ass even at their Sleep-Mode Size, and look cute at the same time.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Some of the smaller Box weapons look cuddly and harmless that it's easy to confuse them for a normal animal if disregarding the armor they wear.
  • Weaponized Animal: They are weapons designed by the Vongola Family and Shoichi made to resemble living species of the animal kingdom to help fight the Millefiore Family.
    Natsu

A Sky Lion Cub and the personal Box Animal of Tsuna. Unlike other Box Animals, Natsu acts like his master, both in and outside of battle. In battle, Natsu can use powerful roars to petrify the opponent and can combine with Tsuna through the use of Cambio Forma, and turn into various weapons for him.
  • Badass Cape: It has the ability to turn into a cape Tsuna uses for defense called Mantello di Vongola Primo. It can resist even the hardest Lightning-strengthened spikes as shown in Tsuna's fight against Torikabuto.
  • Cute Kitten: Natsu is an adorable baby lion cub.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Natsu can fuse with Tsuna to make several weapons.
  • Hand Cannon: Its transformation into Version X allows Tsuna to fire his flames stronger than his previous version, which can blasts enemies far away.
  • Power Fist: Its other ability lets it transform into a power glove for Tsuna called Mitena di Vongola Primo.
  • Spell My Name With An S: His name is usually romanized as Natsu or Nuts.

    Uri

A Storm Leopard Cub and the personal Box Animal of Gokudera. Uri has a mischievous personality and constantly torments Gokudera by scratching him. Uri is useless in an actual battle, but if given enough Sun Flames, Uri can turn into a full-sized leopard, allowing it to fight with Gokudera. In addition, Uri can perform Cambio Forma, turning itself into a bow and an entire arsenal of dynamite in Version X.
  • Action Bomb: Can turn itself into a living bomb that sets off Storm Flames in it's Version X form. A side effect is that Uri is shrunken for some time after exploding.
  • Arrows on Fire: It can transform into a bow and arrow called G's Archery and fire destructive storm arrows that can blast away its target.

  • Cats Are Mean: Poor Gokudera and Natsu. Gokudera is often used as a scratching post for Uri.
  • Cool Shades: Version X.
  • Cute Kitten: In its little form, Uri takes the form of a baby leopard.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Uri can fuse with Gokudera to make several weapons.
  • Mad Bomber: Via fusion; Version X, where it brings back Gokudera's dynamite.
  • Panthera Awesome: After consuming a lot of flames, Uri turns from a Cute Kitten into a huge panther.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Uri's large eyes are red like storm flames, and its quite dangerous.
  • Sleep-Mode Size: Uri's kitten form.
  • Tsundere: Uri has no problem scratching Gokudera's face and arms up, but when the cards are down and Gokudera needs help the most, Uri's will stand over and protect Gokudera with its body.
  • Weaponized Animal: More so in Version X, where it becomes a bomb.

    Kojirou and Jirou

A Rain Swallow and Rain Akita Inu and the personal Box Animals of Yamamoto. In battle, Kojirou can cover the field in Rain Flames, giving Yamamoto an advantage. Jirou, however, simply carries three extra swords for Yamamoto. In addition, Kojirou can perform Cambio Forma, turning itself into a longsword. Jirou later gains the ability to do so as well in Version X, and they both become swords for Yamamoto.
  • Cool Sword: Via fusion; Kojirou turns into a longsword. Both later turn into swords in Version X.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Kojirou can fuse with Yamamoto to make a weapon for him. Jirou cannot, but later gains the ability to do so.
  • Swords Akimbo: Via fusion; while Jirou can't Cambio Forma, it can provide three bladeless shortswords for Yamamoto to allow him to fly by Dying Will Flame propulsion.

    Gyudon

A Lightning Bull and the personal Box Animal of Lambo. In battle, Gyuudon is fast, powerful, and can mow down an opponent easily. In addition, Gyuudon can perform Cambio Forma, turning itself into a shield that can both protect Lambo and release a powerful attack. In Version X, Gyuudon turns into a powerful armor that can control metal through magnetism.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: It's Version X form turns Gyudon into an Iron Armor that absorbs attacks. Unfortunately, it's way too heavy for the minuscule young Lambo.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Gyuudon can fuse with Lambo to make various weapons for him.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: It can transform into Lampo's Shield, a sturdy shield that protects its user and can launch a counterattack.

    Kangaryuu

A Sun Kangaroo and the personal Box Animal of Ryohei. In battle, Kangaryuu can fight alongside Ryohei since she can use boxing. After upgrading to Version Vongola Box, she gains cannons on her back that allow her to fire Sun Flames. In addition, she can perform Cambio Forma, combining with Ryohei to give him boxing gear.
  • Backpack Cannon: Version Vongola Box has it carry a backpack cannon that shoots out Sun Flames.
  • Convenient Colour Change: Via fusion; when his three minutes are up, Ryohei's outfit turns from white to black.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: It gained its scars from training with future Ryohei.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Kangaryuu can combine with Ryohei, turning into armor for him.
  • Power Limiter: Via fusion; Knuckle's Maximum Break has a three-minute limit to prevent Ryohei from being harmed from the power boost. Version X breaks the limit and Ryohei can use it as long as his stamina can hold.
  • Punny Name: Kangaryuu is an obvious pun on kangaroo; in addition, it roughly translates into "one's own way".
  • Red Boxing Gloves: Version Vongola Box onwards, albeit blue. Version X plays it straight.
  • Samus Is a Girl: It was revealed that she was female after Uri crawled into her pouch.

    Roll

A Cloud Hedgehog and the personal Box Animal of Hibari. In battle, Roll can turn into a sphere of spikes called the Needle Sphere Form to attack or trap the opponent. In addition, it can perform Cambio Forma, combining with Hibari to create a new weapon for him.
  • Chain Pain: It's Version X upgrade adds two chains on the ends of the tonfas, which Hibari can extend by using his cloud flames.
  • Drunk on Milk: Or Drunk On Cloud Flames. The very first time Roll was summoned by the non-future Hibari, it could not handle the level of flames Hibari was exerting and became drunk on them.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Roll can combine with Hibari, turning into various weapons for him.
  • Spike Balls of Doom: Can do this with its Needle Sphere Form.
  • The Spiny: Hibari found this out the hard way when it pierces his hands when trying to pet it. It didn't take it well and freaked out.

    Mukurou

A Mist Owl and the personal Box Animal of Chrome and Mukuro. Originally, it was a Rain Owl owned by Glo Xinia until Chrome managed to hit it with her weapon, allowing Mukuro to possess it and change its attribute. Its battle skills aren't that well know, but it can perform Cambio Forma, combining with Chrome or Mukuro to create a new weapon for them.
  • Enemy Scan: It's Daemon Spade's Devil Lens form allows Mukuro to scan for the enemy signature, their battle details, and weaknesses.
  • Fusion Dance: Through Cambio Forma, Mukurou can combine with Chrome or Mukuro, turning into various weapons for them.
  • High-Class Glass: Its Daemon Spade's Devil Lens resembles the monocles Daemon Spade wore when he was alive.
  • The Owl-Knowing One: Supplementary materials show that Mukurou has very high levels of intelligence.
  • Shared Unusual Trait: Whenever possessed by Mukuro, its eyes turn red and blue and have the kanji on its right eye like Mukuro's.
  • Talking Animal: It can telepathically talk to other people whenever possessed by Mukuro.

    Bester

A White Sky Lion and the personal Box Animal of Xanxus. Actually Bester is not a Lion but a Liger, a combination of the Sky Lion and the Storm Tiger. Bester is immensely powerful but like the other Sky Lions, most of his abilities remain unknown. He can perform Cambio Forma and merge with Xanxus’ X-Guns.
