The Necromancer
"I have been fighting this darkness my whole life, struggling to break free."

Portrayed by: Melanie Stone
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A club-footed slave who works for an apothecary and studies magic. Her dismal circumanstances have not suppressed her keen mind and heroic spirit. After unleashing a mysterious, dark power within herself, Marek must set out and forge a new destiny. Aspiring to a life of freedom and adventure, she decides to help Teela when nobody else will, and is drawn into the struggle against the evil necromancer Szorlock.
  • Action Girl: Marek is a handicapped badass initially, but learns how to fight with a staff and her magic nonetheless.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Marek has Necromancy, which here means she's capable of draining others' life force to empower her magic along with calling up the dead, but is also a very good person. In the films she continually struggles since her power is apparently both addictive and corrupting.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: Marke's eyes go black when she uses her necromancy, which is very dangerous not only to others but her too, because it makes her unhinged. She has to continually resist going fully evil after using it, as it's both addictive to her and corrupting too.
  • Black Magician Girl: Marek's magic is mostly offensive, and is partly powered by Necromancy.
  • Died Happily Ever After: After sacrificing herself to destroy Szorlock and the Darkspore, Marek is reunited with Dagen in the afterlife.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Not most of the time, but when using her necromancy powers Marek's eyes go black, looking even creepier with her pale skin and dark brown hair.
  • Gender-Blender Name: "Marek" is the equivalent of "Mark" in Polish, Czech and Slovak. In-universe it's a Dwarfish word for "crooked," given by Hammerhead on account of her leg.
  • Grand Theft Me: After fully absorbing Teela's life force to fuel powerful magic, Marek unknowingly carries Teela's soul inside of her. Teela briefly takes possession of her throughout The Iron Crown, even managing to heal Dagen, until Marek releases her spirit into her new body.
  • Handicapped Badass: Heroine Marek is club-footed, with a brace on her leg and using a stick to walk at the beginning. Over time however with training she becomes nearly as mobile as any able-bodied person (magical aid is possibly involved then as well). She does ask if Teela can heal her, but when this turns out to not be a possibility it doesn't faze her. It helps in that her weapon is magic, but she's quite capable physically as well. Her foot is entirely healed later.
  • Heroic Suicide: Destroying the Darkspore with the Hammer of Tek means destroying herself, but Marek chooses to save the world and her friends by taking her own life.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: Marek is both a powerful magician and a skilled fighter, blending the disciplines together in battle.
  • The Leader: Marek gathers the party to help Teela, and from there leads them to defeat Szorlock. She sometimes struggles with this role and agonizes over her choices, but Dagen reveals they all look to her faithfully for guidance and inspiration — even her mentor, Gojun.
  • Made a Slave: It turns out that Marek was sold as a slave by Hammerhead after her mother died giving birth to her. She grew up in slave camps and was eventually sold to an apothecary, then later a pimp who had much worse intentions for her than just being an assistant.
  • Magic Staff: Marek is given one by Gojun Pye that is able to magically retract itself to be carried more easily. It's inscribed with runes and channels magic.
  • Nay-Theist: Marek expresses rage over the gods not coming to help when Szorlok is waging war on the living, and says mortals may be better off without them at all.
  • Necromancer: Marek is a natural-born necromancer, as she was infused with the power of the Lich King's Darkspore while in her mother's womb. Her dark powers are a continuous source of conflict for her.
  • Parental Abandonment: Marek's father never gets revealed, since her mother, a gypsy thief, died giving birth to her with no one else knowing. Marek tries to understand who her mother was from the conflicting stories that are told to her. Gojun explains she was a hero in the end.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: The hero of the series, Marek is a beautiful girl with light skin and dark hair. Her necromantic powers also deepen the contrast and conflict with her otherwise good-hearted nature. In the beginning she is a humble, club-footed slave, but in the end her leg has been healed and she's an accomplished adventurer and magician.
    Thane
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_thane220.jpg
The Swordsman
"Long ago, I swore an oath to the Vitalian Empire. That oath took me across the world and into this cage. I'm done with oaths."

Portrayed by: Adam Johnson
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A disillusioned Vitalian soldier who defends Marek from thugs and is unjustly imprisoned for his trouble. Marek frees him to help her save Teela's sister. He finds new purpose with the party, and helps them defend the realm from evil.
  • Badass in Distress: He is a grizzled, veteran soldier and the main fighter of the team. The plot of The Necromancer is driven by his capture by Peregus Malister as revenge. The others must do a job for Malister while he holds Thane hostage, and Thane remains captive until the end.
  • Barbarian Longhair: Thane keeps his long hair loose, and rather disheveled in the beginning (as an embittered soldier and escaped prisoner). He is the mighty swordsman of the party.
  • The Big Guy: Thane is a large, mighty soldier and is introduced taking down a group of men with relative ease. He serves this role on the team, typically attacking enemies directly while Dagen shoots arrows and Marek prepares a magical attack.
  • Drowning My Sorrows: His heartbreak over Teela sends him deep into his cups.
  • Florence Nightingale Effect: When Thane, on the brink of death, is healed by Teela, he says she's beautiful and thanks her reverently. From then on he's clearly fallen in love with her.
  • Heroic Suicide: At Battlegrave, Thane and Dagen drink poison and die so their souls can find the Hammer of Tek in the Underworld. He has to trust that Teela can bring them back to life.
  • Heroic Vow: He's bitter over his oath to the Vitalian Empire, but makes a heroic vow with Marek to do good and live a life of dignity. He later dedicates himself to Teela and Ana-Sett and is named a paladin by the goddess.
  • Hot for Preacher: Thane falls in love with the beautiful Teela. Her religious vows complicate things between them.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: Thane, a trained soldier, prefers fighting with a sword and shield, even proclaiming that dual blades are no match for them. The shield also proves an effective defense against magic.
    Dagen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_dagen220.jpg
The Thief
"It doesn't matter where we came from; we're here, now. Right when the world needs us."

Portrayed by: Jake Stormoen
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A greedy half-elf rogue who finds himself recruited onto Marek's team for his unique skill set. At first only seeking riches and a life of leisure, he falls in love with Marek and becomes a faithful companion.
  • Bow and Sword in Accord: Dagen is a great archer and also skilled fighting with blades. In The Godslayer he finds a special longsword in the thieves' guild, to replace his other weapons.
  • The Casanova: Dagen is introduced with another man's wife, and is continually shown having seduced women over the next films. Eventually he settles down with Marek in the afterlife.
  • Child by Rape: Dagen was born to an elven woman held in a brothel as a sex slave for soldiers.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Practically everything he says is some kind of witty, cutting remark.
  • Died Happily Ever After: Dagen and Marek both die saving the world from Szorlock. They are reunited in the afterlife on a beautiful beach, as Dagen had dreamed for them.
  • Dual Wielding: He usually fights with two knives when in melee combat.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Dagen is a half-elf, son of an elven mother and an unknown human father.
  • Heroic Bastard: Dagen, though a bit of a knave at first as he's a thief and lech, turns out to be quite heroic, while born to a sex slave.
  • Heroic Suicide: At Battlegrave, Dagen and Thane drink poison and die so their souls can find the Hammer of Tek in the underworld. He chooses to remain in the underworld to get the answers they need, which means Teela cannot bring him back to life.
  • Lovable Coward: Dagen's a skilled fighter and no stranger to danger, but the party's often outnumbered or outmaneuvered so he reacts accordingly, often for comedic effect. He's charming, but his self-interested nature means he won't easily risk his skin for others. He becomes more heroic over the series, especially for Marek's sake.
  • Nay-Theist: Dagen says he never thought that the gods really listened to prayers.
  • Older Than They Look: Dagen (a half-elf) says he's in his early seventies, but looks perhaps thirty at most. It's possible he's joking though.
  • Parental Abandonment: Dagen has no idea who his father was, as his mother was a sex slave. Later she hung herself when he was a little boy to escape this life.
  • Son of a Whore: His mother was a sex slave.
    Teela
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_teela220.jpg
The Healer
"A little girl, a Vitalian, and a miscreant. I pray the goddess may bless our worthy cause."

Portrayed by: Nicola Posener
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A priestess of the Order of Ana-Sett, she seeks out the aid of heroes when dark forces raid her temple. She then follows Marek in the struggle against Szorlock, serving as a healer and guide.
  • Back from the Dead: Teela's lingering spirit is transferred into a new, identical body — though now with blonde hair — found within the Temple of the Owl. This is all by the power of the goddess Ana-Sett, who shares the body with her mortal priestess. Even after Szorlock destroys Ana-Sett, Teela remains alive.
  • Bathing Beauty: In The Darkspore she is shown bathing outdoors while Thane keeps watch for her. She presumably bathes more than anyone else, as Thane complains that her daily routine is unsafe. She claims that Ana-Sett demands it.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Ana-Sett withdraws her blessings from Teela after she makes love with Thane, leaving Teela without her magic powers during The Necromancer.
  • Combat Medic: Teela is a healer, but also trained in combat by her religious order.
  • Damsel in Distress: She is not a passive victim but does find herself in this situation. Like her sister, she is imprisoned by the ogre, along with Thane. At Mondiatha, she is poisoned and held hostage by Kishkumen until the party can find the artifact for him. At the Golgotian mine, she and Dagen are captured by Szorlock.
  • Facial Markings: She wears dotted markings around the outside of her eye.
  • Good Shepherd: Teela is a priestess and healer devoted to Ana-Sett, the goddess of light. She encourages and counsels the party along the path of good. She naturally takes issue with Marek's dark power, but is able to see the goodness in Marek despite that.
  • The Heart: She is a feminine, compassionate, peacekeeping presence in the party, and tries to keep them on the right path.
  • Healing Hands: She lays her hands upon the wounded to magically heal them.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Teela willingly sacrifices her life force to Marek — greatly empowering her — in order to save Dagen. This also heals Marek's leg completely.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: With Ana-Sett's power, Teela is able to attack with golden magical energy, as seen in The Godslayer.
  • Light 'em Up: Her patron goddess, Ana-Sett, is a deity of light. Teela's magic is imbued with golden light.
  • The Medic: Teela is the party's healer, using her knowledge and magic to treat the wounded.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Teela is left devastated when Ana-Sett (through Teela) attacks Marek for apparently giving in to Szorlock's evil, and Marek has to call for Szorlock to save her.
  • Naughty Nuns: Teela is a chaste, pious priestess starting out, and also very beautiful. She bathes regularly, saying her goddess demands the practice, and has mutual sexual tension with Thane until they finally have sex.
  • Not Quite Dead: Teela's spirit lingers inside Marek, and occasionally takes possession of her, after she's fully absorbed by Marek's necromancy. A new, identical body for Teela is found inside the Temple of the Owl (though her hair is now blonde). This new body is shared by Teela and the goddess Ana-Sett herself.
  • Staff of Authority: Teela carries a wooden staff with an owl icon at one end, representing her goddess, and is trained to defend herself with it. She leaves it behind in The Necromancer after falling out of Ana-Sett's grace.
  • Token Religious Teammate: Teela is the only one of the main cast who consistently shows religious beliefs, because she's also the clergy member among them.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Teela's amulet of Ana-Sett, first when she's captured by the ogre and finally after she dies.
  • Virgin Power: Ana-Sett takes away Teela's powers as punishment once she finally has sex with Thane, since chastity was part of her role as priestess. They're restored though when Teela makes a sacrifice.
  • Vow of Celibacy: Teela is expected to stay chaste by Ana-Sett, who punishes her for having sex by taking away her powers.
  • White Mage: She is a priestess of Ana-Sett and gifted with faith-based healing magic.
  • White Magician Girl: Support character? Check. Healing magic? Check. Carries a staff? Check.
    Gojun Pye
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_gojun220.jpg
The Wizard
"Darkness has come, and the world has need of heroes."

Portrayed by: Kevin Sorbo
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A wizard who teaches Marek the ways of magic, and counsels her on necromancy and the fight against Szorlock.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He drags Szorlock through a portal to another dimension and keeps him there while Marek's team takes the Darkspore to safety. Szorlock eventually absorbs his life force, but this allows Gojun's spirit to linger inside Szorlock and possess him long enough for Marek to deliver a killing blow.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: He is both a powerful magician and a skilled fighter. Szorlock admits his physical strength is an asset.
  • Magic Staff: Like other magicians of his kind, he channels magic through a special wooden staff.
  • Mentor Archetype: He is a wise and powerful wizard who teaches Marek. He counsels her on her dark powers and how they need to stop Szorlock.
  • Mentor Occupational Hazard: Gojun Pye is killed fighting Szorlok before he can train Marek any more.
  • Mr. Exposition: As a key figure in the larger story, he explains the history of Szorlock and the Darkspore and imparts the direness of the situation to Marek and the others.
  • Not Quite Dead: After being defeated and absorbed by Szorlock, Gojun's soul lingers inside him. He's able to contact Marek and take possession of Szorlock for a brief time so he can be destroyed.
  • Retired Badass: A former hero and member of the legendary Red Thorns, Gojun Pye retreated to a solitary life after separating the Darkspore and hiding the four fragments from Szorlock.
    Szorlock
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_szorlock220.jpg
The Lich King
"I am death! I am the Lich King reborn! Witness the birth of a god!"

Portrayed by: Matthew Mercer
Appears in: Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
An evil necromancer who will stop at nothing to reforge the Darkspore and gain the almighty power of the Lich King. He forms a mysterious link with Marek and tempts her to join his side.
  • Big Bad: Szorlock is the main villain of the series. The necromancers Mekru Nom and Kishkumen both serve him and search for pieces of the Darkspore so he can reforge it and gain the powers of the Lich King. He employed Marek's mother to steal another piece, but the pregnant thief decided to betray Szorlock, linking Marek's destiny with his.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: Szorlock has black eyes full time, the mark of a necromancer who's fully evil and corrupted, unlike Marek.
  • Evil Sorcerer: He's a magician and necromancer turned to evil. He's after the Darkspore to become the next Lich King and rule as a god.
  • The Heavy: Szorlock is the main antagonist of the series. He creates the conflict, torments Marek through visions and dreams, and has a deep history with Gojun Pye.
  • A God Am I: With the Darkspore reforged, Szorlock's power would rival the gods. He becomes the new Lich King and proclaims his own godhood.
  • Godhood Seeker: Not only satisfied with all the dark powers of the Lich King, Szorlock rages against the heavens to rule and be worshipped as the one true god.
  • Large Ham: Matthew Mercer engages full scenery-devouring mode as the Big Bad, Szorlok.
  • Magic Staff: He carries the reunified pieces of the Darkspore — an ancient, powerful relic — atop a wooden staff.
  • Necromancer: He is a dark magician and necromancer who uses the Darkspore to increase his power and become the next Lich King. He wields a variety of evil powers, summons demons, and commands an army of the undead.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Szorlok's goal turns out to be killing everybody in the world so he can then raise them as undead and rule, along with killing even the gods.
    Hammerhead
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_hammerhead220.jpg
The Dwarf
"The Darkspore wants to be whole, and all the heroes put together, the living and the dead ones, couldn't keep it apart now."

Portrayed by: Christopher Robin Miller
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A surly dwarf who runs an inn frequented by bounty hunters and the like. Once a famed adventurer named Orrin Tuck, now retired, he can offer work and information to those seeking fortune and glory.
  • Anti-Hero: While cynical and grumpy, he's an old friend of Gojun Pye and seems to generally be on the side of the good guys. However, he's lost faith in those who would stand against Szorlock, and decides to take the Iron Crown of the Dwarves for himself. He sends mercenaries after the final Darkspore piece (which pits them against Marek's team) so he can trade it for the Crown. Also, while he took pity on Marek's mother and provided food and shelter, he immediately sold the baby into slavery.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: He has huge bushy eyebrows, likely as a dwarven trait.
  • Retired Badass: A former hero and member of the legendary Red Thorns, Hammerhead now runs a tavern and provides work and bounties to younger adventurers.
    Caeryn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_caeryn220.jpg
The Priestess
"Make your choices with a clear heart. And trust the goddess, always."

Portrayed by: Natalie Devine Riskas
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore
A priestess of the Order of Ana-Sett. When her temple is attacked by a necromancer, she's entrusted with safeguarding important artifacts, but is captured. She asks her younger sister Teela to find help.
  • Almost Dead Guy: Soon after parting ways from Teela, Caeryn is set upon by Kishkumen. Teela senses something is wrong and finds her sister dying. Caeryn informs Teela that the necromancer took the Darkspore, before passing away in her arms.
  • Damsel in Distress: Her capture by evil forces drives the story. Teela goes to Hammerhead's Inn to find help to save her, and finds Marek, who gathers a team. She's discovered to be imprisoned in the ogre's cave.
  • Died in Your Arms Tonight: She dies in her sister Teela's arms after being mortally wounded by Kishkumen.
  • Facial Markings: She wears dotted markings around the outside of her eye.
  • Good Shepherd: A holy priestess devoted to Ana-Sett, the goddess of light. She is entrusted with bringing the Darkspore to a paladin for safekeeping, and shows great selflessness in this mission. Teela explains Caeryn was called to serve Ana-Sett. She shares wise words and exhibits a kind, faithful soul.
  • Healing Hands: She has the power to heal, like Teela. After Thane is injured by the ogre, she is able to heal him in time to escape the giant spiders.
  • Pursued Protagonist: Caeryn escapes her temple with a piece of the Darkspore, and a secret map that shows the location of another piece. Mekru Nom and his orcs pursue her for these artifacts, so Teela is sent to find help.
    Qole
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_qole220.jpg
The Dark Elf
"No one's fate is written."

Portrayed by: Rocky Myers
Appears in: Mythica: The Darkspore
An elven warrior rescued from mischievous faeries by Marek and the party. Owing his life to Marek, he joins their quest to find the Darkspore in the ruins of Mondiatha.
  • Badass in Distress: He's encountered by the party wrapped head-to-toe in a cottony cocoon by faeries as they prepare to cook and eat him. He seems like a hapless victim until he's freed and later reveals himself to be a brave warrior.
  • The Comically Serious: Qole is very stoic, unlike the wisecracking Dagen, willful Marek and passionate Thane. In one scene he just continues meditating while Dagen and Thane get into a scuffle behind him.
  • Dual Wielding: He wields a pair of spears as weapons, which plays into his Noble Savage characteristics.
  • Facial Markings: Qole has several ornate tatoos on his face. He tells Marek they are from the shaman who raised him, to protect him from dark powers.
  • Last of His Kind: Qole says he is the last of the Garun-Dan elves. Dagen claims he's lying and is actually an evil Druchii. Qole's actions prove he's good.
  • Mr. Fanservice: The handsome elf is introduced shirtless, revealing his big, glossy muscles as he tears himself out of the cocoon he was trapped in. Marek and Teela are left rather dumbfounded by this.
  • The Quiet One: Qole is taciturn, and seems to put a lot of thought behind his words.
  • Romantic False Lead: He and Marek share a strong attraction, making Dagen jealous, and she seems to choose him over Dagen until Qole is killed off.
  • Sixth Ranger Traitor: Qole is rescued by the party and joins them, lending his fighting skills and knowledge of the land. He is secretly working for Kishkumen, the "shaman" who raised him, and gives him the Darkspore to absolve his debt and lift his "curse." Ultimately he stands with the party against Kishkumen, but that doesn't stop Dagen from attacking him for his betrayal.
  • The Stoic: He is always calm and quiet — even when facing down a dragon. He's resolute in his beliefs, and confident in his abilities.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: The aloof Qole embodies this trope with a bit of a Noble Savage style, and serves as Dagen's romantic rival for Marek.
  • You Said You Would Let Them Go: Qole gives the Darkspore to Kishkumen under the impression that he would spare Marek's party, stating that Kishkumen gave his word. Kishkumen attacks them anyway.
    Ana-Sett
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_ana_sett220.jpg
The Goddess of Light
"I have come to aid this world at great peril to myself, just as Tek, God of the Forge, once did. And he paid an ultimate price."

Portrayed by: Lauren Spalding, Nicola Posener
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer | Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A benevolent goddess of light, worshipped by Teela and her Order. She aids the mortals in the struggle against Szorlock.
  • Animal Motifs: Ana-Sett is represented with owl motifs, likely for the owl's association with wisdom and vision.
  • God in Human Form: She is reborn to dwell in the world among mortals, sharing a body with Teela.
  • God Is Displeased: Ana-Sett withdraws her blessings from Teela when she becomes intimate with Thane, which brings Teela down to normal during The Necromancer. Teela's selfless act of sacrifice rectifies this.
  • God of Good: She is a benevolent goddess of light and healing, concerned with righteous matters. While not perfect, she is a strong force for good and stands against Szorlock.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: Ana-Sett is associated with brilliant gold and pure white.
  • Healing Hands: A benevolent goddess, she lays her hands upon the wounded to magically heal them, and grants this power to her priests.
  • Holy Hand Grenade: The holy Ana-Sett is able to attack with golden magical energy. Marek describes her magic as sanctified, unlike her own arcane and necromantic magic.
  • Light 'em Up: Ana-Sett is a goddess of light, and her powers are imbued with golden light.
  • Rightly Self-Righteous: Ana-Sett is a benevolent, immortal goddess who — unlike the other gods — is willing to directly join the mortals in the fight against Szorlock. However, she exhibits some haughtiness and jealousy, and is rather inflexible. She eventually decides Marek is a liability and attacks her. Marek does give in and help Szorlock destroy the gods (in part due to being so cruelly attacked) until her friends get through to her.
  • Sharing a Body: Ana-Sett helps Teela's spirit survive and delivers a new body for Teela and herself to share, which is identical to Teela but with blonde hair. She explains she is reborn to dwell among mortals in order to help them win against Szorlock. Teela is frequently allowed to be herself, but Ana-Sett is in control until Szorlock rips her essence from Teela.
    Peregus Malister
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_malister220.jpg
The Pimp
"You just don't know who I am, do you?"

Portrayed by: Robert Jayne
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes | Mythica: The Darkspore | Mythica: The Necromancer
A wealthy, well-connected pimp and criminal who's gained a position of influence in the Thieves' Guild called The Den. He menaces Marek in an alley, but is stopped by Thane. A vain, petty and vindictive man, he becomes obsessed with Marek and Thane and swears vengeance upon them.
  • Human Traffickers: Human trafficking is his main line of business.
  • I Have You Now, My Pretty: Obsessed with Marek, Malister pays off Vagamal and claims Marek as his property just as she's trying to buy her freedom. He plans to use her as a Sex Slave and otherwise torture her.
  • Smug Snake: Malister is arrogant and carries himself as an untouchable adversary, but when the tables turn against him he runs and cowers.
    Betylla
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_betylla220.jpg
The Enforcer
"As long as Peregus Malister is sent one of these each sundown, your friend will live to see another day."

Portrayed by: Philip Brodie
Appears in: Mythica: The Necromancer
An associate of Peregus Malister and member of The Den, the intimidating, black-clad Betylla is sent with the party to recover a shipment of illustrium. He is a heartless killer who keeps trained beetles that can serve as messengers.
  • Friend to Bugs: He keeps trained beetles, and is rather fond of them, extolling them as the ideal organism. He's trained them since he was a child.
  • Guest-Star Party Member: Malister forces the party to track down The Eel, a supplier. He sends Betylla with them, to help and to watch them. Malister will kill Thane if he isn't sent a beetle from Betylla.
  • Leave No Witnesses: He murders Captain Purio — who was already on death's door — then sets fire to the hospital tent, which will kill the other wounded men inside. This enrages Marek, as Betylla explains "No witnesses."
    Zombie Girl
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_zombiegirl220.jpg
The Zombie Girl
"Some rescue! When my father finds out how ill-treated I've been..."

Portrayed by: Paris Warner
Appears in: Mythica: The Iron Crown | Mythica: The Godslayer
A beautiful young noblewoman abducted by Admiral Borlund Hess aboard her mechanical war wagon. She is somehow zombified after drinking water tainted by a Darkspore, and remains in the party's care aboard the wagon.
  • Covered with Scars: After helping Dagen fight off a demon, she is caught and mutilated by the demons and left behind. She reappears at the wagon heavily scarred, her zombification apparently helping her "survive" the attack. After the Darkspore is destroyed, she is released from the dark magic and horrified at her condition.
  • Friendly Zombie: After she drinks the tainted water, Marek states she's brain-dead, and she becomes a docile, mindless shell like the other victims. This effectively makes her a more likeable character. Dagen forms a strong attachment to her like one would with a pet. She also aids them by moving a kart out of the road with superhuman strength, and defends Dagen from a demon by ripping its arm off. They keep her around until they give the wagon to refugees and entrust her in their care.
  • No Name Given: We never learn her name. She is zombified before identifying herself to her rescuers, so the party simply calls her Zombie Girl.
  • Royal Brat: She appears and acts highborn, claims to have an influential father, and wants to be returned to the palace of Kingsway, so she may be nobility or royalty. She is also a mean, feisty, entitled, bigoted brat to both her abductor and her rescuers. Dagen comments that her zombification is actually an improvement for her. Her sometimes heroic behavior as a Friendly Zombie with the party may hint at hidden depths, but she does revert to being this after the Darkspore is destroyed.
    Mekru Nom
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_mekrunom220.jpg
The Evil Sorcerer
"Where is the stone?"

Portrayed by: Kee Chan
Appears in: Mythica: A Quest for Heroes
An evil necromancer who raids a temple of Ana-Sett with a horde of orcs, in search of a magical dark stone he knew to be safeguarded there.
  • Bald of Evil: He is bald, and is a dark necromantic sorcerer who leads a horde of orcs and kills holy priests.
  • Karma Houdini: He raids Teela's temple and slaughters several priests, but he exits stage left and is never seen or mentioned again.
  • Necromancer: He kills people by magically draining their life force, which Teela explains is necromancy.
  • Sequel Non-Entity: He is the main villain of the first film, but is never confronted and never seen or heard from again. He's replaced by Kishkumen, who similarly disappears after the second film.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: His disturbing yellow eyes indicate that he is an evil necromancer.
    Kishkumen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mythica_kishkumen220.jpg
The Shaman
