    open/close all folders

     All Robot Masters

  • The Battle Didn't Count: The worst you can ever do to these guys is blow them up and take their weapon, but they'll be back.
  • Beat the Curse Out of Him: Reducing the health of the Ally Robot Masters to a certain level snaps them out of their programming.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: As is usually the case, considering they're forced to work for Wily. The Ally Robot Masters return to normal after they are defeated.
  • Face–Heel Turn: As is usually the case, they are civilian robots with normal jobs and hobbies until being captured and made to serve Dr. Wily.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After being freed, they are back to normal and enjoying themselves in the ending.
  • Mini-Boss: The Ally robots serve as these in some of the robot master stages. To get the best ending, you have to fight them and rescue all four of them.
  • Quirky Miniboss Squad: You have a Bedlah Babe, A man-dragon, a football-shaped living weapon, an ice-skating little girl, a nuclear powerhouse, a ghost girl, an Aquaman expy, and a beetle lady.
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: Zigzagged. True to Mega Man Classic tradition, the Robots resemble people in elaborate Superhero costumes than actual robots. Missile Man looks like a robot while Polar Woman looks like a normal little girl in winter clothes.
  • The Rival: Dune Woman's, Polar Woman's, Reactor Man's and Tide Man's portraits all poke out of their squares on the Stage Select Screen.

     Dune Woman
Weapon: Desert Storm
Weakness: Beetle Drone
Dune Woman was a weather control robot before Wily messed with her coding to begin his his to power. She apparently worked in a town that has Middle Eastern themes.
  • "Arabian Nights" Days: Dune Woman's stage takes place in a Middle Eastern themed-Town, fitting for her, a Bedlah Babe.
  • Bedlah Babe: Fittingly into her middle eastern theme.
  • Blow You Away: The second part of her tornado if she manages to suck Rock or Roll towards her.
  • Green Thumb: In the ending, Dune Woman's plant pot instantly sprouts into a full grown tree, scaring away Beat.
  • Logical Weakness: The Beetle Drone is not fooled by the sand statue that Dune Woman can summon during her fight.
  • No Mouth: Instead of a mouth, Dune Woman has a blue plate that takes up the bottom half of her face.
  • Puzzle Boss: Dune Woman constantly create a sand clone of herself in her battle, forcing the player to keep track of the real one and avoid shooting the clone. Shooting her sand clone will cause it to fire harmful sand debris at the player.
  • Sand Blaster: Dune Woman shoots bullets of sand from her arm cannon and fights with the Desert Storm, a deadly sand cyclone that vacuums Rock/Roll towards her.
  • Self-Duplication: Has the ability to create an identical sand copy of herself, that fires back when you shoot at it.
  • Shifting Sand Land: Her level has elements of this, to match her theme.
  • Weapons That Suck: The first part of her tornado.

     Drake Man
Weapon: Fire Breath
Weakness: Shield Bubble
Formerly a geological survey robot, Drake Man was turned Maverick after he had his coding messed with by Wily. His lair is in a volcano.
  • Breath Weapon: Drake Man's main weapon is Fire Breath, a burst of flame that Drake Man fires from his mouth. Rock and Roll also fire from their mouths when they acquire his weapon, instead of using their arm cannon.
  • Expy: Like Magma Dragoon, he’s a draconic-looking robot that has his base in a volcano and uses a fire weapon.
  • Lethal Lava Land: Drake Man hides out in an active volcano.
  • Logical Weakness: Water can douse fire.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: A fiery robot man-dragon.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: Drake Man lacks many of the hallmark features of a typical Robot Master, resembling a lightly-anthropomorphized dragon akin to something from the Digimon series or a Reploid.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: A robot master based on a dragon.
  • Platform Battle: The heroes and Drake Man have their fight over lava, with a platform that you can stand on. If you win, the sides close. This makes the lava inaccessible; otherwise, falling down will mean an instant victory for the victim's opponent.
  • Playing with Fire: The obligatory Fire robot of the game, though with a slightly different theme than most.
  • Video Game Flight: Drake Man is capable of flight, for offensive and defensive purposes.
  • Wall Crawl: Spends the majority of the battle clinging to the wall in his room.

     Polar Woman
Weapon: Snow Roller
Weakness: Fire Breath
Prior to Wily's meddling, Polar Woman helped out at an ice base, which later became her lair.
  • Affably Evil: Despite being a brainwashed robot out to kill Rock/Roll, Polar Woman is quite friendly and cheerful, blowing a kiss at the player before her battle. She is also shown winking at the player in the stage select screen.
  • Badass Adorable: A very cute ice-skating robot girl with deadly ice powers.
  • Bad Date: In the ending, Polar Woman is trying to teach Fire Man how to ice skate, but the guy doesn't appear to be enjoying his skating session much. Quite expected as she is weak to a fire-based weapon, and carries a weapon that allows her to do a number on him.
  • The Cutie: Everything about Polar Woman is meant to invoke how cute and fun she is. From her design to her stage theme. She winks at the player on her stage screen, shoots heart-shaped ice crystals, and throws bouncing snowballs as her main weapon.
  • Hitbox Dissonance: Why her salchow jump is so tricky to avoid.
  • An Ice Person: The obligatory ice robot of the game, with different ice attacks.
  • Logical Weakness: Fire can melt ice, which the lass may not like as she likes to skate. Plus, melting ice in a rink would cause skaters like her to fall.
  • Mythology Gag: Polar Woman uses an attack that is similar to Chill Man's Chill Spike in her battle.
  • Puzzle Boss: Polar Woman will try to trick the player by salchow jumping towards them. She jumps just low enough to discourage sliding, but also making you believe you can jump over her. Attempting to jump over Polar Woman only results in Collision Damage. Apparently the little pom-pom on her hat gives her just enough height to hit you.
  • Rollerblade Good: She spends all of her time on Ice skates, that let her move quickly on ice.
  • Snowball Fight: Polar Woman's main weapon is her Snow Roller, which is a bouncing snowball that also freezes targets at larger size.
  • Slippy-Slidey Ice World: Her stage takes place in the South Pole.

     Missile Man
Weapon: Blast Missile
Weakness: Desert Storm
Before he got turned into Wily's slave, Missile Man managed a military base. His weapon is the Blast Missile.

     Ghost Woman
Weapon: Soul Trap
Weakness: Charge Laser
Prior to Wily messing with her coding, Ghost Woman managed events at a castle. She took that castle over after Wily's dirty work, and Rock and Roll have to get through the castle to face her. She is capable of using the Soul Trap to trap foes.

     Reactor Man
Weapon: Charge Laser
Weakness: Snow Roller
Before he went rogue thanks to Wily's reprogramming, this robot ran a power plant. His weapon, the Charge Laser, involves steady streams of concentrated energy.
  • Electric Black Guy: While not technically electricity-themed, he's a dark-skinned Robot Master who manages a power plant and wields an energy laser that can charge up mechanical devices. His helmet is even shaped like a spark plug.
  • Energy Weapon: Reactor Man's Charge Laser fires a steady stream of concentrated energy. It can also be used to power up inactive machines.
  • Eternal Engine: Reactor Man makes his lair in a nuclear power plant.
  • Expy: Of Flash Man from Mega Man 2. Reactor Man also has slight shades of Cyborg in him.
  • Logical Weakness: Reactor Man needs heat to maintain his nuclear reactions. Throwing ice-cold snow in his face won't help that. The Snow Roller also freezes him solid, which the poor guy definitely won't appreciate.
  • One-Hit Kill: His stage consists of the infamous deadly force beams.
  • Shock and Awe: Downplayed. The Charge Laser does have spark components, but mainly serves to power up contraptions in certain stages. Ghost Woman is also weak to the weapon due to her Ghost motifs.
  • Teleport Spam: Reactor Man can teleport, and he isn't afraid to use it to his advantage in his battle.
  • Token Minority: He is a darker-skinned robot master.

     Beetle Lady
Weapon: Beetle Drone
Weakness: Soul Trap
Prior to her transformation into Wily's servant, this robot managed reforestation. She can summon Bettle Drones that can shoot at an enemy. In order to reach the Beetle Lady to fight her, Rock and Roll have to go through a forest.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: She and Honey Woman are last seen chasing Plant Man, who wants nothing to do with them.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: A Robot Master with a lady bug motif.
  • Drone Deployer: The Beetle Lady attacks foes with her Beetle Drones. Following her defeat, Rock and Roll can use this weapon themselves.
  • Green Thumb: Blows dandelion seeds at the player by flapping her wings.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: Beetle Lady "pollenates" the dandelion flowers in her fight, then blows the seeds at you by flapping her wings. Sounds really stupid right? Doesn't sound so stupid when the seeds are difficult to dodge and deal a hefty chunk (around 4-6) of your life meter.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: If you use the Soul Trap to capture the beetles she sends out, the Beetle Lady will take damage if she gets hit by them herself.
  • Logical Weakness: See Hoist by His Own Petard, above.
  • Odd Name Out: She is a Robot Master, but they did not bother giving her a name that ends in "Woman". She shares this trait with the Gelato Girl from Mega Girl.
  • The Lost Woods: Her stage takes place in this. With lots of insect-based enemies.
  • Punny Name: She's a female robot master with lady beetle gimmick. "Beetle Lady" was just too good of a pun to pass up.

     Tide Man
Weapon: Shield Bubble
Weakness: Blast Missile
Before he got turned into Wily's servant, Tide Man helped recover things from the bottom of the sea. His weapon is the Shield Bubble. In order to reach him, Rock and Roll have to traverse a dark deep-sea trench.

  • Barrier Warrior: His Shield Bubble blocks shots for a brief while before bursting.
  • Blackout Basement: Certain sections of his stage have reduced lighting.
  • The Beast Master: Capable of shooting fish-shaped bullets to attack Rock/Roll, and calling fish robots to attack them.
  • Bubble Gun: What he uses to create his Shield Bubble.
  • Expy: Of Bubble Man from Mega Man 2, with a slight dash of Aquaman thrown in.
  • Fishing for Sole: Is last seen fishing in the ending, where he inadvertently hooks Splash Woman much to his shock and embarrassment.
  • Logical Weakness: A bubble isn't really all that effective to stop an explosive missile. The Blast Missle can pierce his barrier.
  • Roboteching: His fish bullet projectiles fly out before turning in the players' direction when they get within range.
  • Under the Sea: Where his level takes place in.

Ally Robot Masters:

     Fire Man
One of the original Robot Masters from Mega Man, Fire Man is one of the Robot Master allies to be captured. He is imprisoned in Drake Man's stage. His weapon, the Fire Storm, has him shoot fire from his twin Arm Cannons.
  • Arm Cannon: He has one on each of his arms.
  • Bad Date: Polar Woman tries to have fun with Fire Man by teaching him to ice skate, which doesn't seem to be going well.
  • Distressed Dude: Fire Man and his sister Honey Woman try to stop the robot-capturing drones, but they get captured instead.
  • Guns Akimbo: Twin Arm Cannons and no hands.
  • Irony: Fire Man hangs out with Polar Woman in the ending. They're both vulnerable to each other's powers. Bad Date ensues, at least in Fire Man's case.
  • Kill It with Ice: His weakness is Snow Roller, a call back to his original weakness to the Ice Slasher.
  • Lethal Lava Land: He is imprisoned as a mini-boss in Drake Man's stage.
  • Logical Weakness: Subverted. You think you'd just use the water weapon (Shield Bubble) against Fire Man, but nope. His weakness is the Snow Roller, which is really a reference to his original game where he was weak to the Ice weapon (Ice Slasher).
  • Playing with Fire: As if his name didn't clue you enough already.

     Honey Woman
Formerly a gardening robot created by Doctor Light, Honey Woman was kidnapped alongside Fire Man, Dagger Man, and Skull Man. Her location is in the Beetle Lady's stage.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: Honey Woman makes her last appearance with the Beetle Lady chasing Plant Man, which the poor guy finds to his dismay.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Since when was Honey Woman actually bad? (Justified, though.)
  • Arm Cannon: Where her honey bullets, which can slow down Rock/Roll, are fired from. She sometimes stows it away here.
  • Damsel in Distress: Trapped as a miniboss in the Beetle Lady's stage. In order to face her, you need to enter an alcove near the top in one of the areas. Honey Woman's battle is just like Hornet Man's battle from Mega Man 9, except she can slow down the player with honey fired from an Arm Cannon.
  • Logical Weakness: Bugs don't like fire very well. Her weakness to fire is a reference to Hornet Man's weakness to the Magma Bazooka.
  • The Lost Woods: Imprisoned in Beetle Lady's stage.
  • Mythology Gag: Honey Woman is one of the original boss concepts before finally becoming Hornet Man in Mega Man 9. The non-profit nature of this fangame allows her to be used.
  • You Don't Look Like You: She sometimes turns her arm cannon into a hand.

     Dagger Man
Dagger Man originates from Mega Man Super Fighting Robot, where he was a main boss. Here, Dagger Man gets imprisoned in his attempts to help the Light Bots fend off the kidnapping drones. Rock and Roll can find him in Reactor Man's stage.
     Skull Man
A Robot Master from Mega Man 4. Built by Doctor Cossack, Skull Man was not meant to be part of the Cossack Line. Here, he and Dagger Man try to help the Light Bots stop the kidnapping robots. Skull Man is trapped in Ghost Woman's haunted castle, and you can use the Shield Bubble to find the room he's trapped in.
  • Barrier Warrior: He comes packed with his Skull Barrier, which is shot four times from his cannon and comes back to him to shield his body.
  • Big Boo's Haunt: Is trapped as a miniboss in Ghost Woman's stage.
  • Combined Energy Attack: He can combine the skulls in his Skull Barrier into one giant charged shot.
  • Logical Weakness: You have another boss that relies on a barrier. So the barrier-busting Blast Missile should do the trick.

Fortress Bosses

     Met Grabber
The boss encountered when Rock goes through his first Wily Stage.
  • Flunky Boss: It uses Mettaurs as its weapons.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: You can deal extra damage to the boss by using the Soul Trap on the Mettaurs that are summoned by it, then throwing them at it.
     Big Bulb
The first boss encountered in the route that Roll takes through Wily's fortress.
  • Feed It with Fire: When hit by the Charge Laser from the inside, it regains health. However, there's a limit to how much health the Big Bulb can get, with a full energy bar of the Charge Laser bursting its fuse, leading to an instant win.
     CWU- 01 P
An aquatic robot found in the Weapons Default.
  • Oculothorax: Just as he was originally, the CWU-01P manifests as a round robot monster with a single eye.
  • Turns Red: Changes attack patterns whenever you damage his eye.
  • Underwater Boss Battle: You fight him in a flooded room.
    Yoku Devil
A robot that is found in the Research Laboratory.
    Copy Robot
The boss faced as Proto Man breaks free from his prison. The Copy Robot is a metamorphic robot who first appeared in Mega Man. He is able to perfectly mimic his foes, and it's this trait that gives him his name.
  • Charged Attack: During his first and third phases, the Copy Robot can charge his shots. The latter is much faster and more frequent, as if he's using Proto Man's Proto Strike.
  • Double Jump: After he takes enough damage, the Copy Robot will copy Roll's form, getting this power. This costs him his Charged Attack though, and he loses it when you take down his second phase.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: His second phase gives him a shield just like Proto Man, but the Copy Robot uses his shield only during jumps.
  • Mirror Boss: He copies Rock, Roll, and Proto Man.
  • Turns Red: After you beat his first form, the Copy Robot will ditch his Charged Shot and get a double jump, becoming harder to hit. Beating his second form causes him to regain his charged shot at the cost of his Double Jump, but adds a shield to top protect him from attacks that come from his front.
