    Dina Marino

Dina Marino

"I love experimenting with my boyfriend in bed, but don't expect anything strictly heterosexual..."

The central figure of the channel and main point of view for the narration of the story.

Of Sicilian origins, she moved to South Korea to study at Seoul National University following the fortuitous win of a large scholarship.

Despite her well-groomed appearance, Dina can sometimes be boorish and rude, and she seems to have a tendency to ignore the morally questionable behaviors of those around her if they benefit her. Her past in the city of Marsala is a sore point that she finds difficult to talk about.

  • A Friend in Need: She has this dynamic with Fabiola. Whenever Dina makes a mess she doesn't know how to solve, she turnsto Fabiola for help.
  • Berserk Button: Until now, Dina has two of them:
    • Beng called pet names like love or treasure annoys her to no avail. Not even her boyfriend can call her that.
    • Talking about Roxen Glory around her is generally a bad idea.
  • Best Friend: She is Siria's best friend and in the past was best friends with Laura Pizzo and Sofia Pipitone.
  • Found Family via Work: She is a former stripper along with Trixie. All the girls in the club were very close before Trixie ghosted them.
  • Better as Friends: More than once.
    • She had a crush on Barney when she was a teenager but never acted on it. Considering how things have turned out, it's probably for the best.
    • She and Mysteria agree that they don't want to have sex with each other again but they are still very close frieds after Mysteria forgives Dina for the accident.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Laura are very similar people, as they both are sexually voracious women who feel oppressed from the conservative lifestyle that Marsala imposes. Even if their friendship is not as strong as it was before, when they are together they can't help but feel the chemistry.
  • Childhood Friend: She was close with Mauro San Giovanni when they were little. She now goes by the name Mysteria San Giovanni.
  • Fat Suit: Uses one in episone 1x4 to impersonate Gideon and help arrest Nefelio Tiz, the child trafficker, since Gideon refuses to meet his brother.
  • Foil: To Barney in her group of friends from Marsala.
    • Both their Color Motif is red but they have very different personalities.
    • Barney prefers to feign friendship to people he dislikes, while Dina is very vindictive person that doesn't hide her dislike of someone.
    • Barney likes to pretend that everything is fine to avoid confrontation, while Dina is brutally honest.
    • Barney moved to Marsala during his teenage years and loved the town, while Dina left Marsala late in her teenage years and would never come back.
  • Freudian Trio: She is part of one when she is with Siria and Trixie. Dina is the superego, being the one that generally stays behind, questioning things and elaborating plans.
  • Gasshole: It's not that often, but she shamelessly queefs during her videos.
  • Hated Hometown: Dina is not fond of Marsala and rarely has nice things to say about that place.
  • Have We Met?: Keeps thinking this about Mysteria but she can't grasp why she looks so familiar. In the end, she remembers they had a fling a year before. They actually met when they were kids and Mysteria had not yet transitioned.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: She genuinely believes her sister is "sweet and lively".
  • Lemony Narrator: She is fully aware that her YouTube channel is a small AI-made no-budget project, so she takes every occasion to snark about that, asking the viewers to insult the quality of the programming in the comments section.
  • Loose Lips: She and Siria accidentally admit on Instagram Live that Siria committed identity theft and financial fraud to get enrolled into the Seoul National University.
  • Love-Obstructing Parents: Dina's relationship with Gideon is NOT well seen by her dad, that refuses to accept the mere existence of it.
  • Outlaw: Her running away from law seems to be a recurring theme:
    • She becomes one in the first episode when she helps Siria escape from the police along with Gideon. At the end of the episode, the situation is solved and she stops being one.
    • In the third episode it's revealed she was one during her teenage years, and when she passed out in front of a trailer park, that's where she met Pina Cucchiara.
  • Power Trio: She, Laura and Sofia were one back in the days. Things became a little colder now, but they still care about each other.
  • Secret-Keeper: When the story starts, she was the only one to know that Magissa's real name is Siria Ashen. Once the university and finance find out about who Magissa truly is, Siria resumes her real identity.
  • Skewed Priorities: What do you do when you have the Korean police chasing you? You have a trip in Italy, visiting comic cons and frenching your boyfriend in Pisa under the fireworks and the smell of weed.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Dina is a very vindictive person.
    • In episode 2, when Anne beats her up, she and Siria shave her head and throw her in the river
    • Still in the second episode, when Anne tries to Acid Attack Dina and hurts Trixie in the process she reacts by squirting on the dormitory's bathroom floor so that Anne would slip on it, hit her head on the sink and become stunned for enough time to put her in a cargo ship direct to Timbuktu.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Discussed by Carla in episode 1x4. She says that Gideon and Siria bring out the worse in Dina. They discuss about it and promise to try to improve as people.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: When they were in Marsala, she had this dynamic with Barney, due to their very different views.

Korea

The main group of friends in Seoul

    Siria Ashen

Siria Ashen, also known as Magissa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/getimg_ai_2023_10_16t17_58_57084z.png
"...Nothing clears my head like kicking an eighty-year-old lady on her dentures."

Student at Seoul National University and one of Dina's university colleagues, as well as best friend of hers.

Siria had an unusual path to getting into SNU. She was initially an illegal fighter at the behest of her family (that is also a Mafia clan), she ran away from them to try university life, therefore deciding to continue her studies.

Following a reconciliation with her parents, she resumed clandestine fighting and criminal activities, but on the condition that she was able to continue studying.

  • Action Girl: Siria has a talent for fighting and has exploited that for most of her life.
  • Berserk Button: Don't threaten the people Siria cares about.
  • Best Friend: She is Dina's best friend.
  • Fake Identity Baggage : When she joined SNU, she did so using the fake name Magissa. Magissa is a real girl from a very poor family, and Siria used her identity to get financial concessions from the university. When the university finds out about this, they are not pleased.
  • Freudian Trio: She is part of one when she is with Dina and Trixie. Siria is the ego, being the one that goes with the flow. While she is quick to use her fists, she also likes planning before acting.
  • Hazy-Feel Turn: Dina claims that Siria retired from her life of crime in order to expand her knowledge at the SNU but Siria is consistently shown to do very morally ambigous things that make not clear how much she truly is reformed. The fact that she resumes her criminal activities in her family's clan makes her redemption even more ambigous.
  • Little Miss Badass: In the first episode it's shown she was this when she was little, being able to fight (and defeat) a group af adult men.
  • Loose Lips: She and Dina accidentally admit on Instagram Live that Siria committed identity theft and financial fraud to get enrolled into the Seoul National University.
  • Outlaw: She becomes one in the first episode when the SNU found out that she committed identity theft and financial fraud in order to get economical and personal benefits from them. At the end of the episode, the situation is solved and she stops being one.
  • The Runaway: Siria ran away from home so che could pursue higher education at the Seoul National University. Her parents eventually track her down and they reconcile.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: When she reconciles with her family, it means that she can stay at the SNU and pass a few exams with the maximun score thanks to her family corrupting the university. They also corrup the police so that they won't investigate Siria anymore.
  • Skewed Priorities: What do you do when you have the Korean police chasing you? You have a trip in Italy, visiting comic cons and playing Jenga.
  • Sports Dad: Her parents disapprove of her choice of joining university rather than continuing her illegal fights. They eventually accept Siria's wish of pursuing university because it allows her to be near Professor Voldemort.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Siria is someone you DON'T want to mess with.
    • In the secondo episode, when Anne beats up Dina, she and Dina shave her head and throw her in the river
    • Still in the second episode, when Anne tries to Acid Attack Dina and hurts Trixie in the process she reacts by squirting on the dormitory's bathroom floor so that Anne would slip on it, hit her head on the sink and become stunned for enough time to put her in a cargo ship directet to Timbuktu.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Discussed by Carla in episode 1x4. She says that Gideon and Siria bring out the worse in Dina. They discuss about it and promise to try to improve as people.
  • Turning Into Your Parent: Discussed by Dina in episode 1x4. Siria wants to be a better person than her parents, but the influence her upbringing had is evident. She promises herself that she will do her best as a person.
  • Would Harm a Senior: She regularly has bridge with a group of nice old ladies. And with bridge she means they have clandestine fight 'under' the bridge. It's consensual on their part, as they have an old-women fight club, but it's evident that Siria has a huge advantage against them.

    Gideon Tiz

Gideon Tiz

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/plump_bearded_guy_brunet_long_beard_sitting_on_a_sofa_facing_viewer_tan_skin_orange_tshirt_good_light.png
"From a young age, we were taught that appearance matters, and this created quite a few image conflicts in my mind."

An inhabitant of Seoul of Italian origins. Unlike the others who have little problem exposing themselves, Gideon tends to be more reserved in his narratives, preferring to always reveal only what is necessary.

He lived in Seoul taking advantage of the Italian citizenship income (until they took it away from him) and is currently unemployed, but this doesn't seem to worry him much.

He has a conflicting relationship with his family, who pushed him to lose as much weight as possible to achieve an aesthetic ideal that he repudiates today. He is in a relationship with Dina, which is disapproved of by both their families.

  • Big Beautiful Man: His family though does not consider him pretty anymore.
  • Come with Me If You Want to Live: He helps Siria escape from Korean police by using his connections to run away in Italy.
  • Gayngst: Bi-ngst to be precise. Caused due to his brother being a right wing conservative that protests against gay marriage.
  • Intentional Weight Gain: Gideon was as thin as his family imposed him, and initially gained weight just to rebel to them. He eventually likes himself more with the belly.
  • It's All About Me: Once Sasha's situation is resolved in episode 1x4, he refuses to meet up with his brother to help arrest him, uncaring of how this could stop his brother from child trafficking again.
  • Love-Obstructing Parents: Gideon's relationship with Dina is NOT well seen by his family, they even refuse to accept the mere existence of it.
  • Outlaw: He becomes one in the first episode when he helps Siria escape from the police along with Dina. At the end of the episode, the situation is solved and he stops being one.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: Implied to be the reason why he, Dina and Siria are able to have a trip in Italy while being chased by the police. A friend of him even borrows them a private jet filled with hookers.
  • Skewed Priorities: What do you do when you have the Korean police chasing you? You have a trip in Italy, visiting comic cons and frenching your girlfriend in Pisa, under the fireworks and the smell of weed.
  • Sibling Rivalry: With his brother Nefelio.
  • They're Called "Personal Issues" for a Reason: The other characters know virtually nothing about Gideon's past as he avoids at all costs talking about it. He improves over time.
    • In the second episode, he didn't tell Dina that Anne is his ex girlfriend until she found out herself and they had an argument about it.
    • In the fourth episode, it's revealed that Gideon has a brother (you know, the leader of a group of Human Traffickers). The other characters didn't even know about his existance. He eventually talks about their relation in video in the same episode.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Discussed by Carla in episode 1x4. She says that Gideon and Siria bring out the worse in Dina. They discuss about it and promise to try to improve as people.

    Trixie Maialini

Trixie Maialini

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/getimg_ai_2023_07_17t14_54_43974z.png
"It's important to love and respect yourself, and to remember that you and your tits deserve the best."
Click here to see Trixie after the accident.

A girl of Calabrian origins with a difficult past that led her to drug use. Towards the end of high school (but still after turning 18) she started working in a local club dancing on the pole, and enjoying some success due to her three breasts.

Dina worked in the same club, and together with the other girls they tried to get her clean of drugs, but some time later, Trixie disappeared because she joined the Koran mafia, only to reappear many years later as an SNU student in the same course as Dina and Siria, sent there by the latter's family in order to track Siria down.

After a difficult breakup she finds solace in her own interpretation of religion and starts a cult about it.

  • Acid Attack: She's not the target but puts herself in front of Dina to save her from the attack. The acid ends up destroying her third boob.
  • Addled Addict: Trixie had a fondness for cocaine when she lived in Calabria. She relapses in episode 5.
  • The Chew Toy: Her one true love was not even lesbian, just using her in a mission to arrest one her friends, her parents died when she was little, she has no academic skills, her friends don't respect her, she can't keep a stable job, she's a drug addict, her cousin wants to exploit her and she ends up in a coma at the end of season 1.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: More and more as the series progresses, and she sees more and more of the Virgin Mary.
  • Comically Missing the Point: In episode 1x5, she's at park with Dina and Siria and suddenly sees the Virgin Mary, not reaizing it was just the park's resident sexy hobo woman that stole some Larper's gear nearby.
  • Cure Your Gays: She claims that the Virgin Mary "healed" her in episode 5.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Trixie is an orphan and a former drug addict that worked as a stripper during her last high school years.
  • Freudian Trio: She is part of one when she is with Siria and Dina. Trixie is the Id, being the naive and empathetic meber of the group who goes (mostly) without a plan and reacts istinctively to the obstacles they face.
  • Found Family via Work: Trixie and the other girls at the strip club she worked were very close before she ghosted them.
  • Iconic Item: Flower bras become associated with her after episode 1x5.
  • Kissing Cousins: She had a brief sexual relationship with her cousin after the Virgin Mary told her to do so.
  • Knocking on Heathens' Door: She started doing this after her (alleged) visions of the Virgin Mary.
  • Meaningful Name: "Maialini" means little pigs in italian. It reflects both Trixie's cute appearance and mannerisms (small pigs are adorable) and her drug use and crazy sex life (pigs are often a symble of both gluttony and lust).
  • The Mole: She came to SNU not to enrich her cultural baggage but to track down Siria on behalf of her family and bring back home. She, however, genuinely cares about her friends.
  • Mooks: She works part-time as one for Siria's family
  • Sex for Solace: To fight her post-breakup depression, she organizes orgies with out-of-control mexican girls.
  • Sliding Scale of Divine Intervention: She starts having vision of the Virgin Mary, much to her friend's skepticism. Type 0 as those visions are caused by a combination of drugs, sex, alchol and plant toxins.
  • Taking the Bullet: She throws herself in front of an acid attack meant for Dina and loses her third boob in the process.
  • Tempting Fate: She knows what happened to Roxen and told Dina that if she believes in the Virgin Mary hard enough, eventually she will bring back Roxen. Dina beats the living shit out of her for having said that.
  • Token Good Teammate: She's the only purely well intentioned character in the group of friends based in Seoul. The worse she ever did was to lying to Siria to make her reunite with her family
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Ever since she and Carla broke up, she has breakfast with a very specific brand of tea. A brand called tequila.

    Mysteria San Giovanni

Mysteria "Mimì" San Giovanni

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/getimg_ai_2023_10_25t22_08_14378z.png
"He is so touchy and childish sometimes, and this disgusts me, but precisely because he is so sleazy I also feel a sort of arousal towards him."

A transsexual girl with whom Dina had an affair in the river areas when she was still single, who on that occasion tried to sell Dina some Avon products.

She recently made her return as Professor Voldemort's new thesis student (and lover), thus making her a senpai for Dina, Syria and Trixie.

Dina could swear she had seen her before their meeting at the river, but she can't remember where.

  • Becoming the Mask: She initially just pretends to be friends with Dina and co. because she wants to enact her revenge, but genuinely warms up to them after spending time together.
  • Better as Friends: She and Dina agree that they don't want to have sex with each other again but they are still very close frieds after Mysteria forgives Dina for the accident.
  • Came Back with a Vengeance: Mysteria is from Marsala just like Dina. The reason Dina does not connect the dots is because, when they knew each other in Marsala, Mysteria's identity was still Mauro San Giovanni. When they were little, they played together at the beauty shop by using some toxic chinese make up toys that corroded and destroyed her eye. She feels entitled to take revenge on Dina for mutilating her and thus she allied with her friend Anne Airy to get the job done.
  • Childhood Friend: When she was little, she was one to Dina.
  • Erudite Stoner: Mysteria is an academic and a scientist that LOVES marjuana, whether it's in brownies or joint form, and will gladly offer some to her friends too.
  • Meaningful Name: Mysteria comes from "mystery" and she certainly can be a secretive and mysterious character.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: She and professor Voldemort are a thing and are not even trying to hide it.

Other characters residing in Korea

    Carla Wong

Carla Wong

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cute_blond_asian_woman_blond_bob_cut_hair_detective_professional.png
Carla in episode 4

Carla Wong is Trxie's former girlfriend of Australian and Korean origins, with whom she lived in the same apartment. When she and Trixie were still together, the girls had not a clear idea of what her profession was.

She is an undercover agent of the Korean finance police sent to track down and approach Siria Ashen in order to expose her financial fraud.

She often texts with a certain Geltrudino, much to Trixie's annoyance.

  • Anti-Villain: Carla might not be the nicest person but everything she does can be reasonable and justified as she really believes in justice and law.
  • Bedroom Adultery Scene: One day, Trixie comes back home and finds Carla having anal sex with Geltrudino.
  • Caught on Tape: Fabiola has done many BDSM videos in a club she frequents where Carla appears too, meaning that Dina, Siria and Gideon can blackmail her with the videos.
  • Faux Yay: Carla is an heterosexual woman that pretended to be lesbian in order to manipulate Trixie and get close to Siria.
  • Gold Digger: Trixie accuses her of being this in response to catching her having sex with a man. How much this is true is debatable as while Trixie is right in thinking that Carla essentially used her, she didn't initially realized that Carla's true objective was to apprehend Siria.
  • Kinky Role-Playing: When she goes in Melbourne, she frequents the same BDSM club that Fabiola Onorata frequents
  • The Mole: She became Trixie's girlfriend only to get closer to Siria and gather enough evidence to arrest her.
  • Obliquely Obfuscated Occupation: For the duration of their relationship, Trixie and the girls never realized what exactly her job was.
  • Oblivious to Hatred: Carla never realizes (or cares, for that matter) that Dina despises her both for her personality and her treatment of Trixie.
  • Phoneaholic Teenager: An adult example. Carla spends most of her time texting with Geltrudino on her phone.
  • Punch-Clock Hero: In episode 4, Dina needs to hire her in order to find her missing sister.
  • Resigned in Disgrace: The tapes of Carla in a BDSM club eventually leaked and thanks to that she lost her position in the Korean finance police.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: All her discoveries in episode 4 are entirely valid and helpful in the long run, but they have nothing to do with the disappearance of Sasha, the girl that Carla was looking for.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: She's victim of this in episode 1x4. She concucted a scheme to arrest Nefelio Tiz, the child trafficker and succeeds in doing so. The Interpol was so impressed that they would have hired her. If she was a man.

    Anne Airy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3632114686066613073.jpg

Anne Airy

A french model that enrolled in the sciences for peace faculty at SNU and Dina's room neighbor at the dormitory.

She tries very hard to seduce Dina because she wants to have her break up with Gideon and take him for herself.

  • Acid Attack: Tries to pull one on Dina after all other options to get what she wants fail. Trixie throws hersef in fron of the acid, destroying her third boob.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Anne Airy is this to Carla Wong.
    • They have reverse relationships with the core characters:
      • Carla was well acquainted (or even romantically involved) with either Dina, Siria or Trixie when the story began while Anne is a initially a stranger to them.
      • Gideon knows Carla only superficially while Anne is his ex girlfriend
      • Mysteria has been close friends with Anne while she never met Carla.
    • Carla was in a relationship with Trixie while not loving her, and slept with men behind her back while Anne wants a relationship with Gideon, and so tries to seduce Dina so she can prove to him that Dina is not a faithful girlfriend
    • Carla is a detective that wants to arrest a criminal and do her job so she never resorts to violence and tries to do the right thing while Anne does increasingly violent attempts to make two people that love each other break up
    • Their jobs also contrast each other: Carla is a detective that uses deception and wits to gather evidence and arrest criminals while Anne is a model that focuses on her beauty for her carreer, while lacking emotional depth.
  • Faux Yay: The reason she wants to have sex with Dina is to make her break up with her true crush, Gideon.
  • The Grovel: To Gideon.
  • Naked Nutter: She attempts to seduce Dina by knocking on her door completely naked. Dina is of course creeped out by this.
  • Not Good with Rejection: she does NOT handle well rejection.
    • When Gideon left her and moved on with Dina, she does everything in her power to break them up and come back with him.
    • When Dina refuses to have sex with her, she beated the shit out of Dina.
  • Psycho Ex-Girlfriend: To Gideon for reasons explained below.
  • Stalker with a Crush: She starts harrassing Dina as she didn't get anything from harrassing her true target and crush, Gideon. She still keeps texting him and gathers personal informations about his friends in order to later isolate him.
  • Stalker without a Crush: She is only pretending to like Dina so Dina would sleep with her and cheat on Gideon, the person she really loves.
  • Terms of Endangerment: She keeps calling Dina either "Love" or "Treasure" in spite of Dina's evident annoyance.

    Professor Voldemort

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lord_voldemort_shirtless_cowboy_hat_smoking_final_cut.png

Professor Voldemort

A biostatistics professor at SNU that has a turbulent relationship with Mysteria. He dreams a life with her, but is also controlling and petty.

  • 0% Approval Rating: None of his students like him.
    • Dina keeps telling Mysteria stop dating him whenever they talk about it.
    • Siria has blisfully admitted she would be open to beating him up and maybe even traumatizing him.
    • Mysteria of all people has sex with him specifically because she is disgusted by him and nothing more.
  • Has a Type: Voldemort is obsessed with Futanari, and thus only dates transexual girls. He even has a front sign forbidding non-transexual women from entering his house.
  • He-Man Woman Hater: He has a dislike specifically for CIS women to the point of having a sign in front of his house that forbids them from entering.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: He openly bangs his student Mysteria

Gideon's brother and a child trafficker.

He firmly believes in conservative values, political marriages and in being as thin as possible.

  • Altar Diplomacy: A firm believer that one should marry for the status and money that such union would bring to both families. He tried to arrange the marriage between Gideon and Anne for this specific reason.
  • Sibling Rivalry: He never got along with Gideon.
  • Heteronormative Crusader: He is alligned on the conservative side of the political spectrum, and protests against gay marriage whenever he can.
  • Human Traffickers: He sells children, especially the ones from Marsala.
  • Weight Woe: Along with all his family.

     Estrella Cox

A transexual woman that was Fabiola's housemate, until she found God (or so she says) and moved to Seoul.

She is in a polyamorous relationship with Alex Tix and an unnamed boyfriend, which implies there's more to her moving to Seoul than what appears on the surface.

     Alex Tiz

Gideon's sister that has appeared in a couple of recordings. She has a very low opinion of him.

    Laura Pizzo

Laura Pizzo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/getimg_ai_2023_09_04t19_32_02892z.png

When Dina lived in Marsala, Laura was one of her best friends, but since she moved to university, the two are gradually losing sight of each other.

Laura is frustrated by the air of superficiality and petty conservatism that is present in Marsala, but despite it she decided to stay.

  • Birds of a Feather: She and Dina are very similar people, as they both are sexually voracious women who feel oppressed from the conservative lifestyle that Marsala imposes. Even if their friendship is not as strong as it was before, when they are together they can't help but feel the chemistry.
  • Power Trio: She, Sofia and Dina were one back in the days. Things became a little colder now, but they still care about each other.
  • The Friends Who Never Hang: She develped this dynamic with all her group of friends in Marsala, as after years of being with them, a combination of some of them moving out and them acting like superficial spoiled children, she started to feel exhausted by their most toxic behaviours. She still loves them though and shows up on important events.

    Sofia Pipitone

Sofia Pipitone

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/getimg_ai_2023_09_06t17_14_47810z.png
"Martina gifted me her own behind to save me. [...] As soon as i was able to talk, I chose to reward her with the truth, without sugarcoating. I told her I never loved her, that my interest was focused purely on obtaining the aesthetical perfection i was longing for"

One of Dina's best friends when she still lived in Marsala, but recently they got a little out of touch.

Dina hoped to see her again during the summer holidays in Marsala, but it seems that there is no longer any trace of Sofia.

Sofia has recently developed an interest in plastic surgery.

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: A petite, gorgeous woman that wears a white sweater and that spends her time manipulating and exploiting her love interests.
  • Depraved Bisexual: The meanest piece of work in season one.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: There has only been only one person she was shown to be genuinely nice to: Dina.
    • By extension she is polite to Dina's sister, Sasha.
    • In spite of her mocking Laura Pizzo for her chest size, Dina comments that Laura and Sofia are basically like sisters.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She explains to Sasha that twelve year olds like her shouldn't think of getting butt surgeries and tries her best to dissuade her from doing it.
  • Jerkass: Where do we even start? A former bully during middle school, she grew into a spoiled sociopath that only seeks her own benefit.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: She was doing her own thing in Brazil when she stumbles upon Sasha, Dina's missing sister. She didn't even know anything about that whole drama as she had been ot of Marsala for months, probably. She decides to bring Sasha back with her when she goes back to Marsala and basically saves the day.
  • Plastic Bitch: The whole reason she dated Martina? To get a butt surgery. Despite complications, Sofia gets what she wants while being a total asshole about it.
  • Power Trio: She, Laura and Dina were one back in the days. They no longer hang out as much as they used to, but they still care very much about each other.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: She is considered beautiful and has black curls over her pale complexion.
  • The Schlub Pub Seduction Deduction: She's the temptress of this scenario, dating Martina only to get a free butt agumentation surgery. When there's complications during the operation, Martina asks the other doctors to transplant her own butt into Sofia to save her. When Sofia finds out about her sacrifice, she continues her plan like nothing and leaves Martina behind.
  • Shapes of Disappearance: Dina notices how she wasn't present at either Fabiola's birthday or Pina's wedding and no one heard of her or knew where she was. She thinks it's representative of how her group in Marsala is crumbling and finds this image rather fitting for the situation.

    Pina Cucchiara

Pina Cucchiara

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3634771006218549685.jpg
""For him it was love at first sight, for me it was love at first Visa when I saw the bank account."

Pina comes from a very poor family, and grew up in a trailer park where Melixa and Barney also lived.

Pina always tries to find the positive side of things, she is an unwavering optimist and she always encourages everyone to try to see the best in others.

She recently announced her engagement to Nunzio Nunzietti, a former parliamentarian from Palermo who is much older than her, not hiding from anyone that the reasons that drove her to this union were purely fiscal.

  • Gold Digger: She married Nunzio for his money, and they both know it. Their relationship though is quite healthy and friendly, as she doesn't ming having sex with him from time to time and they have lots of interests in common. At the end of the day though, they see each other at friends at best.
  • The Heart: She is this to her group in Marsala. She is the only one that is universally liked in her group of friends and is the only one that genuinely tries to keep them together, purely out of affection.
    • She even tried to have Dina reconcile with Barney, Melixa, Lucrezia and Laura, with Mixed results. Dina though really appreciated her involvement.
  • The Peeping Tom: Pina openly enjoys voyeurism. That's even how she met her husband, as they were spying the same couple.
  • Pen Pals: Was one with Barney Stilson before he moved to Marsala.
  • The Pollyanna: Pina is always smiling and energetic in spite of having been broke to the point of having to share a roulotte with her parents and grandparents.
    • Her situation improves when she marries Nunzio, a rich and old ex parlamentary
    • Deconstructed in Season 2 episode 1, when she reveals that her grandparents taught her that a true Marsala girl always puts her emotions inside an imaginary box and will deal with her negative emotions later, meaning she only knows how to express happines and has issues when it comes to other emotional needs.
  • Token Good Teammate: She has her outlandish and morally ambigous moments like everyone else, but really comes off as a saint when compared to what her friends do.
  • Trashy Trailer Home: She lived in a trailer park during her teenage years, like Barney and Melixa.
  • Trophy Wife: Nunzio married her so she could be this to him. She doesn't mind as he leaves her pretty much free to do what she wants.

"Nessuno si può permettere di parlare di Roxen a quel modo. Nessuno." Dina parlando di Roxen.

Roxen is the member of the Marsala group about whom the least is known.

She appears in only one old photo and Dina doesn't say anything about her when she talks about the holidays in Marsala.

Dina gets very nervous when Roxen is brought up, and refuses to discuss the situation.

    Lucrezia Martinez

Lucrezia Martinez

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3637527099623163864.jpg

Lucrezia tends to be indifferent to the problems of her friends, but despite this she would like the group to remain cohesive.

She has obvious empathy problems, but deep down she cares about her group.

She is Fabiola's ex-wife and together they have adopted a child of which she currently has custody.

  • Amicable Exes: The situation is ambigous. She and her ex wife Fabiola share the same group of friends, and appear to be civil to each other.
    • In spite of this, Lucrezia didn't show up at Fabiola's birthday party.
    • Lucrezia did defend Fabiola when their child spoke badly about her in episode 1x7 and would like for him to have a better relationship with Fabiola.
  • It's All About Me : From her point of view, Dina has no right to be offended by the behavior Barney and Melixa have towards her, as what's important in her eyes is that she gets her own group and they leave the drama out of it.
  • Lack of Empathy : She couldn't care less of the drama between Dina, Melixa and Barney. What she wants is a cohesive group, and they should repress their disdain for each other in order to mantain that apparent cohesion.
  • Shallow Cannot Comprehend True Love : A friendship example. Lucrezia is concerned with the idea of a group, as it is customary and mandatory for social acceptance in Marsala to have a group of friends to show to the other people, but can't seem to grasp why Dina is so bothered when Barney and Melixa don't hang out with her in Seoul, since Dina has other friends in Seoul and so she wouldn't need Barney and Melixa in that situation.

    Fabiola Onorata

Fabiola Onorata

"Have you ever thought you wanted those two extra points in the ranking to become a janitor? Melbourne Sexual University is for you, with an exciting environment that will stimulate your mind as much as your prostate"

One of Dina's friends from Marsala and a "squirting researcher" at the Melbourne Sexual University. She was married to Lucrezia and together they adopted a child, who Fabiola only sees when she returns to Marsala. To compensate for her loneliness she often finds herself pleasing others' needs at the expense of her own feelings or in some bizarre sexual adventure.

After choosing to be closer to Italy to facilitate travels for visiting her child, she quits Melbourne Sexual University and starts working at a fertility lab called LOADS.

  • A Friend in Need: She is a welcoming person and is always there to help Dina solve her messes.
  • Amicable Exes: The situation is ambigous. She and her ex wife Lucrezia share the same group of friends, and appear to be civil to each other.
    • In spite of this Lucrezia didn't show up at Fabiola's birthday party.
    • Lucrezia did defend Fabiola when their child spoke badly about her in episode 1x7 and would like for him to have a better relationship with Fabiola.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: She has this dynamic with Dina's friends from Seoul whenever she asks for her help.
  • Ethical Slut: Fabiola is a kind hearted individual who would gladly spread her legs for you if it makes you feel better.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Almost nobody. While it's understandable that Lucrezia wouldn't hang out with her (as they had a divorce years ago), the other girls have no reason to treat her with the indifference she gets.
    • Laura, Barney and Melixa ditched her birthday entirely (and the last two went to even Dina 's birthday in spite of how their relationship is)
    • Sofia couldn't even bother to text her a happy birthday
    • Dina shows up mostly when she needs something, though after being called out by Fabiola in season 1 episode 6, their relationship improves.
    • Pina is the only one that is shown to genuinely and consistently worry about Fabiola.
  • Hates Being Alone: When she stayed in Melbourne, she would often spend her nights out of her home as she hated living alone.
  • Hidden Depths: Fabiola has sex with everybody because she is afraid of being alone and she thinks that by being appealing and appeasing on every possible way people won't abandon her.
  • Lonely Among People: While she has a very active social life and an enormous amount of sexual partners, no one is ever really there to listen to her or her needs, meaning she never really lets out what she truly feels.
  • Really Gets Around: Fabiola would sleep with ANYONE as long as they're human, alive, consenting and at least 18 years old.

    Melixa Madison

Melixa Madison

some caption text

Melixa is the most argumentative member of the group, who loves to fight for what she believes is her justice. She moved in the same trailer park where Pina lived and later joined her group of friends.

  • Beach Bury : That's how she met her current group of friends. She was hanging out at the beach with the other trailer park kids and they buried her in sand and then left her. Luckilly for her, Dina, Pina and the others took her out of it.
  • Greed : She attended both Dina and Lucrezia's birthday parties but she never buys presents when she does so, as discussed by Dina in the third episode.
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal : Once she got the chance to visit Seoul, she ignores Dina to hang out exclusively with Barney. They do go to her birthday party but choose to not buy a gift for her and leave midway through to hang out by themselves.
  • It's All About Me: After ghosting Dina for months, she refuses to acknowledge that they need to talk about her own behaviour in Seoul and tries to pretend nothing ever happened, trying to insert herself in a trip to Erice that Dina and Mysteria wanted to do, while also trying to change their trip plan to accomodate only her own necessities.
  • Might Makes Right : She seems to run on this in her group. She fights for what she believes to be right, and it will be right because she is fighting for it stronger and louder than anybody else. Dina calls her out on in episode 3 when she complains that, now that Melixa knows she is wrong and she can't do nothing about it, Melixa's reaction was just to ghost Dina.
  • Trashy Trailer Home: She lived in a trailer park up until season 2 episode 1, and was neighbor with Barney and Pina during their teenage years.

    Barney Stilson

Barney Stilson

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3637365623885048096.jpg
I'll let you know

Initially a pen pal that Pina Cucchiara had thanks to a school project, he eventually moved to Marsala and fell in love with the town and the culture.

He joined Pina's group and has been Dina's friend for years. He too studies at Seoul National University, but refuses to see Dina when they are not in Marsala.

  • Character Catchphrase: "I'll let you know". He says that whenever Dina asks him to hang out with her, because he doesn't like to expliicitly say no.
  • Cultural Posturing: Barney likes southern Italy so much that he dislikes Dina's friends in Seoul because they are not "southern enough". It's part of the reason why he avoids Dina when they're not in Marsala.
  • False Friend: He likes Dina's group of friends but does not like her. Instead of setting things straight however, he treats Dina like a best friend whenever they are in Marsala but totally ghosts her when they are at Seoul.
  • Foil: To Dina.
  • Pen Pals: He was one to Pina before moving into Marsala.
  • Trashy Trailer Home: When he moved in Marsala, he lived in a trailer park and was neighbor with Pina and Melixa. He moved to Seoul when he started University.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: When they were in Marsala, this was his dynamic with Dina, due to their very different views.

"I am the lucky one, as i can show you off to my friends"
A former parliamentarian and Pina's "fresh new" husband. He's very old but always dreamt of having a nice girl by his side so he could show her off to his friends.

  • The Peeping Tom: He meets Pina while they were both spying on a couple having sex. They keep being voyeurs even after they marry.
  • Wheelchair Antics: He is so old he can't even stand on his own feet. One wonders how he could even still be an active voyeur that peeps inside the woods.

    Sasha Marino

Drusilla "Sasha" Marino

"I'm trying to be good so my family doesn't worry, but as soon as I turn eighteen I'll start making some real money"

Dina's mischevious sister that has gone missing.

  • Big Sister Worship: She ADORES Dina and wants to be like her, but lacks the maturity to understand that Dina's lifestyle is not the healthiest.
    • The reason for her wish to recieve a brazilian butt surgery is because she wants to imitate Dina (that had her boobs done a few years ago) while adding her own unique twist to it (which is also very Dina-like).
    • She loves to appear in Dina's videos, and promised she will visit Dina during season two.
  • Missing Child: When she debuts in episode 4, it's because she's nowhere to be found. She illegally flew to brazil in the vain hope that she could get a butt surgery.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: No one really calls her Drusilla.
  • Practically Different Generations: Sasha was born when Dina was in high scool, so there's a huge age gap between them. They still love each other very fondly.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: She's 12 and yet she wants a brazilian butt surgery. While Sofia and Dina were able to explain why she shouldn't do this at age 12, it's implied she still plans to do it when she turns 18.

    Martina Culatelli

A woman from Marsala with multiple talents and former classmate of Dina and Sofia.

She had a long standing crush on Sofia, who didn't seem to reciprocate, until the two dated for a few months.

What was once love, however, became the most pure form of hatred.

  • The Ace: Even Sofia admits how remarkable she is: She became a highly successful plastic surgeon, a world-famous twerker and the Prima Ballerina of the Brazilian Carnival (without being Brazilian) and all before the age of thirty.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: She spent her whole life hoping that Sofia will finally notice her. Now she probably wants to go back.
  • Dogged Nice Guy: Things started out as this between her and Sofia. It would have probably been better if things stayed that way.
  • The Schlub Pub Seduction Deduction: She's the victim of this of this scenario. Martina is not ugly or dumb, but Sofia is still dating her only to get a free butt agumentation surgery. When there's complications during the operation, Martina asks the other doctors to transplant her own butt into Sofia to save her. When Sofia finds out about her sacrifice, she continues her plan like nothing and leaves Martina behind.

I'm here representing the trailer park that has been talked about on this channel, and we are not at all satisfied with how our community has been represented.

Pina's archrival and occasional friend. The transexual woman that owns the trailer park where Pina, Barney and Melixa lived. When they were little, she tried hard to be liked by the other trailer park kids, but has always been ignored by everyone, except Pina.
