Administrivia: Know the Staff

So as to maintain the order in the wiki and forum, TV Tropes has a staff in charge of moderating the behavior in them. The following is a list of all of the staff members and what role each one has. To contact them from a wiki page, you can use the Private Messaging system by clicking on the "send a PM" blue tag in the top right corner of any page and then put their handle in the "To Troper:" field. This message will reach them as soon as they next visit the site and open their mailbox. You can also report a specific forum post to the moderators by clicking the Holler button by that post (it looks like this).

Please note that general issues should not be PM'ed to individual moderators, as there's no guarantee that they will read their inbox at any particular time. Use Ask The Tropers for wiki-side issues and the Hollers system for forum-side issues. If you want actions with regards to locked articles and other technical wiki page requests, use this forum thread.

Admin: Total control over the site, have access to the backend code.

Moderator: Can cut or lock wiki pages and edit them in the locked state, flag or unflag wiki pages as "no Google ads", add and remove wiki banners, apply and lift general and section-specific bans, lock, move or delete forum threads, hook, unhook and close crowners, edit or thump other users' forum posts and edit or delete reviews and liveblogs and their comments

The P5: Evaluates work pages to see if they are in line with the wiki's content policy

Forum Heralds: Greet tropers who are new to specific forums. They're listed on their own page.
