It looks like someone is going to die for ratings in the First-Season finale.

Everyone place your bets. I think it'll be either Alak or Tommy.

Jossed on both. It was Nolan. Kinda.

Is Blue-and-Orange Morality really necessary in regard to the differences between humans and Votans? The example given would seem to fit better under Culture Clash.

My post in half human hybrid got deleted for the reason that its a spoiler for new episodes. I got it from promo material for season 2. Is it really a spoiler if the spoiler comes from the people who made it in the first place? Its not as if they ACTUALLY tried to hide it.

No, it's not a spoiler if it's in the promo, if I remember the spoiler policy correctly.

So, considering people can drop dead at a moment's notice on this show, think it's worthy of the Anyone Can Die trope?

A Downer Ending during a season (not a series) finale is still a Downer Ending, right?

re: the Noodle Incident entry about how Nolan doesn't talk about the Battle of Defiance: Is it a Noodle Incident if there's a reason why he won't talk about it, even if that reason is only known to those that play the video game?

Curious about this myself. A very clear explanation is given in the game, if not by Nolan, but nothing has been outlined in the TV series itself.

Unless it's going to be a plot point later in the series. Picture some E-Rep soldiers marching into town: "Joshua Nolan, you are under arrest for war crimes. Come quietly and we won't MOTHEROFGODTELLHERTOSTOPCARVINGOFFMYFINGERSWITHTHATKNIFEIREGRETNOTHINGBLARG"

And then in the game, you try and help Jon and Torc flee the law. And Torc gives you that badass rocket launcher of his in gratitude. (which I really really want, cause that thing is BADASS)

That reminds me; someone should give more love to the video game section.

I'm thinking this show's gonna need a Recap section.

Fair enough. No one's stopping you. Personally, I'd wait for more than one episode to air, but if you want to do it now, that's fine too.

Headscratcher: How did stowaways manage to hide out on the arks? Space was so limited the Votans had to decide who to leave behind. The trip is so long or dangerous that hypersleep chambers are needed to make the journey. It's not like you could just squat in a random hallway waiting for the trip to end and you couldn't just kill somebody and take their hypersleep chamber as that may attract the suspicions of their relatives or ark managers when everybody awakes.

Put headscratchers in "Headscratchers/Defiance" next time, ok?
