I'm very confused about the current picture, I can't see Bouapha's Ludicrous Gibs anywhere... even though the note tells you to look near "the top-left corner of the image".

I say cut it... because it makes more sense to have "YOU JUMPED INTO A SWORD. YOU RETARD!" from I Wanna Be the Guy there instead.

Edited by XenithXenaku Complete Monster, it's how I play Wide Open Sandboxes.

It might be for a different reason, but same here I can't see Bouapha's Ludicrous Gibs anywhere... even though the note tells you to look near "the top-left corner of the image".

Where would you put this then?

  • Naruto:
    • For a long time, fans were expecting a Designated Girl Fight between Sakura and Karin, just because of a brief scene the fanon interpreted as an instant dislike for each other, when they finally do confront each other in person, Karin surrenders without a fight and willingly goes off with Sakura.
    • The Post-Script Season, Naruto Gaiden plays around with the people that both disliked the Sasuke/Sakura pairing and actually suggested that Karin was Sarada's mother instead of Sakura by dealing with the real possibility of Sarada being Karin's daughter, even using a DNA test to confirm this. But in the end it turns out Sakura is indeed Sarada's mother, and not only that, but Karin mentions also being good friends with Sakura.
    • Sakura's fake love confession to Naruto could be seen as this, as it was a verbatim reading of all the arguments NaruSaku shippers used to justify them getting together. Deeper analysis of the reasons she used made it obvious it was fake, as Sakura pretty much stated she "liked" him because of the hero he became, rather than the person he actually was. It was shallow enough for Naruto deduce that she was really trying to stop him from chasing after Sasuke, and to realize that she never had romantic feelings for him and probably never would. In hindsight, it was the author's early warning to fans to get off the NaruSaku train, as well as the definitive Ship Sinking moment of the pairing, and everything afterwards was icing on the cake.

In "Deep Breath," the long farewell phone call from the Eleventh Doctor to Clara, begging her to stay with the newly-regenerated Twelfth Doctor (and Madame Vastra's earlier speech to Clara, "He wasn't your boyfriend! You have to accept his new face,") are aimed at Doctor Who's present-day teenage fanbase, who liked the young David Tennant and Matt Smith, but some of whom have said Peter Capaldi is too old to play the Doctor.

Did you miss Clara's very loud call-out of Vastra calling her shallow? Like I said in the edit reason, she was scared of the Doctor because he was acting crazy and dickish, not because she was being a stand-in for a shallow minority. And the phone call was again, nothing to do with looks, everything to do with a scary change.

I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.

Pulled this, because I just don't get how it's this trope at all.

  • In the Doctor Who episode "Planet of the Ood" (which was basically an Author's Saving Throw for the Doctor being fine with the Ood's Happiness in Slavery the first time he met them), not only does the Ood go and do something just as morally questionable, but it leads to this exchange that implies that the fans shouldn't expect The Doctor to always have the same values as them:
Donna: When I'm with you... I can't tell what's right and what's not anymore.
10th Doctor: It's probably best that way....

Wot C putting a request for more Gamma World material in their April Fools Editorial. It's one thing to say there will be no more material, another to mock the idea that there will be more. Does this count?

I know its an unpopular season, but how is Buffy season 6 hostile towards the fanbase?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm going to remove it. If somebody feels it belongs there, feel free to restore it, but please explain why.
