I never expected Minecraft to be on here! I also love how the red fox in The Octonauts walks on all fours but can still talk.

Is a species classification or grouping (farm animal vs. pet) influence this?

Because, i would think two members of the same spieces owning or eating others, would be more questionable than, say two of the same genus, but seperate spieces; family, but seperate genus; etc.

That's kind of a loaded question.

That's a misuse of the word "furry". It's not a synonym for anthro; a furry is someone who is sexually attracted to anthros. I think this should be renamed Anthro Confusion.

Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV. Hide / Show Replies

  • Sighs*, the term "furry" can also be applied to anthropomorphic animals, dude. Besides, "Furry" does not always mean "Sexually Attracted to animals", buddy! There are "Fursonas".

Here's an explanation for why the Disney examples happen: the gloves. It never explains why they where them, whenever one of them accknowledges it they vanish (possibly from become nonsentient), and all the sentient creatures have them. You may argue that the ducks don't, but A, you can actually see that they do in the older cartoons: it was just slowly edited so they didnt because it was too hard to tell, and they may still just again being too hard to tell. And B on the duck argument, nobody cares about them

Non-sapient you mean! Sentience means consciousness, sapience refers to higher brain capacity, which humans have! Get the terms right!

I like to think some of the characters are their own anthropomorphic species or subspecies. For example, I made up my own grey wolf subspecies called "Canis lupus anthropomorphous", and a seahorse species called "Hippocampus anthropomorphica"

Why is this often regarded as a bad thing, such as the usage of suffer" or "not handled correctly" when mentioning their trope? Most Writers Are Human and Tropes Are Tools, after all.

I personally see no problem with it.

  • In furry communities in Second Life, it is not that uncommon to find players who have other FULLY ANTHROPOMORPHIC players, as pets.

This is a BDSM thing, both creatures are antrho and usually considered that way.

Should their be folders for certain series? Some of the parts are getting a bit long.
