I couldn't find any trope about "enemy awareness meter" in general.
Tropeworthy? (thumb up)
Edited by eroockI'd say so.
At first I was about to suggest Alertness Blink, but that's broader than what you specified because it's not limited to someone noticing their enemies.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.^ Though it has some videogame examples of the enemy type.
"Alerticon" might be a good name for it?
Edited by rexfrancisGiving this a bump; I have an example in mind if this is going to be turned into a TLP project.
A form of Visibility Meter for things like grades of Alertness Blink and Confused Question Mark representing "this guard is getting suspicious of the cardboard box with feet"
I think there's also a place for a sister trope under Video Game Interface Elements, though, for representing a character's status and/or current activity via floating icons over their head. You see this in all sorts of games- say, a Turn-Based Strategy might have a shield icon over a character given a Defend Command or an eye over a character set to overwatch.

Do we have a trope for the game mechanic in stealth-based games of showing the enemy's level of alertness as icons over their head?
