Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I would agree to that, since SNK Boss is, as I'm understanding it, for games with a competitive element, which Dark Souls does not have
I agree with deleting the page (and really, I've never understood how SNK Boss is anything other than That One Boss, but more). However I have to ask why DLC bosses are banned. Aren't many of them obligatory for the story portion of the DLC? I realise they are harder than the base game but there should still be a standard to compare them to.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. If they're not the Final Boss of the DLC and are required to complete it, I think DLC bosses could count as That One Boss.
Edited by rjd1922 Keet cleanupThe only DLC bosses that could even remotely count as That One Boss since they're not the Final Boss of a given DLC are Artorias, Elana, Aava and the Demon pairs, and out of these four, only Artorias and Aava are serious contenders. Actual roadblocks are few in the three games' DLCs afaik.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainThe troper also deleted the commented-out note regarding That One Boss on Dark Souls page and replaced it with a more amateur description that is highly visible, with the edit reason being "This message was brought to you by high levels of obnoxious unprofessionalism. Have a good day." I think they need a tap because it seems to me that this is a Single-Issue Wonk.

Edited by DivineFlame100I didn't even notice that edit. Yes, that kind of edit reason triggers a red flag.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainI also agree that the SNK page should be cutlisted. Also, that "This message was brought to you by high levels of obnoxious unprofessionalism" edit reason is uncalled for and needs mod attention.
This still needs to be addressed.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainI've taken it straight to the cutlist.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.I added that page. Go ahead and delete it if you desire.
On the other hand, piss off and stop being a holier-than-thou jackass.
Edited by Gene0129Well then, looks like there's a new thing for the mods to look at in this query.
Guy's got a wonderful Tropers page too.
Edited by homogenizedWell, why shouldn't it be deleted, since that the trope is inapplicable to Dark Souls in the first place, given the lack of competitive balance the SNK Boss disrupts?
Edited by sgamer82Yeah, that attitude the user gave off is asking for a suspension. Done; will process the cut request.

This page seems to have been created by a troper who's frustrated that they are unable to add some entries under That One Boss's restrictions (and Dark Souls is known to have some extremely tough bosses that are completely optional). I know, because I am the one who has to repeatedly stamp a huge warning to not add Final Bosses and Bonus Bosses on ThatOneBoss.Dark Souls whenever there's some stray troper that thinks That One Boss applies for anything under the sun.
Should I add this to the cutlist on the basis that none of the entries listed there are even remotely connected to the SNK Boss's criteria? As it stands, the page is full of the whiny entries I deleted over the past years.
