Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It depends. As long as the page talks about both, and both have been released in english, then the one released later is to be used to title the page. If only one has been released in english, rhen that one gets rhe title
My troper wallYes. I can name a precedent: Sketchbook.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova^^ Yes, they both have English releases, but shouldn't the title original medium get the priority, especially since the page is in the Manga/ namespace? AFAIK there are no version of the manga where the series is called "Super Gals".
Is there a reason the manga and the anime can't be disambiguated? Use 'Super Gals' for the anime and 'Gals!' for the manga?
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart. That's only reasonable if the two meaningully different from each other. Since one is a direct adaptation of the other (as far as I know, I could be wrong) only the parent work should stay and other has to be a redirect.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^ That makes sense, but could Anime.Super Gals be turned into a redirect for Manga.Gals?
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart. It already is though, the latter just needs to be moved and have wicks adjusted.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupHold off on any moves for now; take it to the English Localization Cleanup thread.
^ This really isn't a localization issue though. The Japanese and English titles are the same. It's just that the manga and anime use (slightly) different titles.
I'll take that back; I thought it was another case of "anime and manga titles differ in localization."
Alright, I've moved the pages and subpages except for the video examples. How does one do that?
Ask the mods to do so in the Video moderation requests thread and they'll handle it
My troper wall
So we have a page for Manga.Super Gals, but apparently the manga's title is Gals!, and Super Gals is the title used for the anime adaptation. Since the page seems to be mostly refer to the manga, should it be moved to Manga.Gals?
