I've heard "second princess" was a mistranslation.
Reason why I asked about the invasion maps was because the second one on my Birthright playthrough had a lot of enemies, and I planted my structures without much thought put into them. I didn't bother doing it since I grinded on challenges to get everyone to S rank and recruit the second generation.
Speaking of, it was a struggle to get them to make use of Axes (Clubs), had to make Sophie and Kana classes that could make use of them. Meanwhile it was a bit of a cinch to make all of my healers use Tomes. What's the diversity of classes when it comes to Nohr's second generation and their weapon preferences?

So it's been a few days, are we used to the designs?
I can look at the trailer now without laughing my ass off.
Dialogue is pretty hilarious though.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Not really, no.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Official English version of the Gameplay explanation trailer
Wonder why the delay tho.
x3 Nope.
Seeing all these Genshin ish designs next to the FE protags is pretty funny.
Mind you, I'm still hyped for the game.

A unit with a Ring equipped can sync with an Emblem, giving them stat boosts and unique skills. They can also 'Engage' with an Emblem, giving them a Super Mode with even further stat boosts, special skills, and special moves; however, this lasts for a limited time and has a cooldown. It looks like there's only one Ring per Emblem, but from what we've seen in previous trailers, there will almost certainly be more than 12 Rings altogether.
Elemental effects have been imported from Three Hopes.
Also it looks like the elevation mechanic from Radiant Dawn might be back.
Emblems shown in the trailer:
- Marth
- Celica
- Sigurd
- Lyn
- Corrin (F)
- Byleth (M). Ironically, his special skill is Goddess Dance, which acts like Herons' singing.
New character names: Amber, Yunaka, Lapis, Seadall, Merrin.
Rated 12. Releasing 20 Jan, so I have to finish Three Hopes by then.
Ukrainian Red CrossHonestly the base camp dialogue snippets posted from twitter have started to worry me more than the designs or the generic story. Pretty much every clip the dialogue is always "You're so amazing!" "I like talking with you." "I will fight for peace!".
@Red Hunter 543: This game's probably going to be the butt of jokes for a long time to come.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.I like the pure cheesy camp energy this game is giving off.
I feel like I'm laughing with this game, rather than at it.
Contrast that to the Morbius memes.

How worse things can get with Alear though that still remains to be seen (though so far, the relationship chart shows their 2 young retainers are their fanbase's head honcho).

It's interesting how each of the player avatars have become more and more powerful with each game lorewise.
Mark was just some genius tactician who countries would go to war for, Kris is Marth's bodyguard, Robin is a brilliant genius tactician who is also tied to Grima, Corrin is a half dragon child of Anankos who is like the most OP dragon in the series, Kiran is the summoner with all the power that entails, being able to enslave Fire Emblem characters, Byleth is the host of a ghost of the Goddess, has whatever remains of her power, and determines which country will reign supreme, and now Alear is an actual dragon prince and I just know he's going to do some crazy OP stunts.

Koi seji to / mitarashigawa ni / seshi misogi / kami wa ukezu zo / nari ni kerashi mo (KKS #501)Byleth's most notable achievement in comparison to other lords: Going to school
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!How so?
I wanted good guy Medeus.

It's basically only really worth considering if you're using Scarlet. If you're looking for a good axe user on the Nohr side, Camilla is basically the pinnacle of that.
The Nohr kid weapon diversity basically touches on everything other than daggers (although if you do Forrest's late enough, you can Offspring Seal him into Butler for a kid with non-E dagger rank).

This game story just seems like it’ll be a generic FE story

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Just checked the Four Hounds' bio in Engage's JP site and I got an actual chuckle over how much of a Ragtag Bunch of Misfits the guys are:
- Zephia's the boss and a dragon just like Alear (demon dragon, to be specific), who Fights Like a Normal by riding a wyvern and using swords. So she's canonically a dragon riding a dragon.
- Griss (the tattoo guy) is an Ax-Crazy wizard who's also the group's chief advisor. So as far I'm concerned he's literally Hubert except pro-dragon and also a JP delinquent.
- Marni (the armor knight) is cheerful and super moody, which makes it sound she gets super scary in battle.
- And then Mauvier (the paladin) is... your honorable and chill knight.
If there's anything I wanna know of Engage is how these 4 became a team to begin with, because they just couldn't be more different even if you tried. Hopefully Mauvier will still be recruitable in the final build of the game....
x2 There's also Rinkah as a potential club user, but her growths are kinda weird and geared more towards defensive classes than anything, something which Hoshidan classes overall are ironically very lacking of.

This has 100% convinced me The Fell Dragon the Four Hounds serve is probably not Sombron. I’m expecting Shenanigans.
Also with Zephia confirmed a dragon it pretty much means I was right that red+blue especially for eyes are colors associated with dragons in Engage.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So it looks like the voice actors for the Four Hounds are:
- Rika Fukami as Zephia
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Griss
- Ruriko Aoki as Marni
- Tomoaki Maeno as Mauvier
Looks like Tsuda has some series experience as Rath and Gerik, while Maeno is Líf.
Oh god I just realized why all the Solm characters are theme named after Desserts.
Desert = Dessert. God damn puns!
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Something tells me it's a coincidence, although as someone that completely forgets which of the two has how many S's I can also assume people with English as a second language probably trip over those two all the time.
Bleye knows Sabers.
Invasions are kind of annoying to try to utilize for actual EXP training, so they're usually better held in reserve in case you need an extra map for completing someone's support level and have no other good sources to turn to.
