^^ They actually aren't being blasted off anymore, escape in very classy manners and manage to succeed in the missions they do that aren't kidnapping pokemon related.
And it's theorized that Pokemon Best Wishes is a prequal to the game its based on, because while its likely Team Rocket will fail to take over Isshu, they will be used as a template for the Founder of Team Plasma.
