Chris Stuckmann, best known for his YouTube movie critic status, is set to write a horror-mystery known Shelby Oaks, with production company Paper Street Pictures (The Pale Door).
Stuckmann added: “It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to finally get a film off the ground and when Aaron and I began discussing the potential of this story we immediately jumped at it. There is a reason so many of my fellow YouTubers are talking about this. Shelby Oaks is going to be something fresh yet deeply unnerving.”
Universal's pay TV deal with HBO is over effective December 31. Beginning next year, Universal movies will appear on Peacock after four months from their theatrical release, for a 10 month window.
Upon the end of the first four month window, some streamers and cable networks will receive pay 2 rights for the movies in an non-exclusive deal.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherAmblin has extended its pay TV window deal with Showtime through 2024.
Note that this for the Universal-released movies, not the stuff Amblin is making for Netflix. Showtime has held pay-TV rights to Amblin movies (when it was DreamWorks 2.0) since 2010.

This was to be expected. This new pay-TV deal with Peacock is part of the reason why NBC Universal created the streaming service in the first place.
"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"Still, that NBCU is nonexclusively licensing the rights to the Universal-Peacock films for the remainder of the 10 month window suggests they need a lot of money to aggressively expand Peacock.
Beginning to think Universal walking away from that pay 2 window deal with FX before Peacock launched was a mistake.

This is similar to the deal Prime had with Epix for Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate movies (that deal has since moved to Paramount+).

Netflix added 1.54 million subs, above expectations but a low bar (they lost 433,000 subs in North America simultaneously).
They now project only 3.5 million new subs in Q3, far below the 5 million analysts were hoping for.

Legendary is sitting on a bunch of “we’re totally going to do something with these eventually!” IP’s and this may be their exit strategy.

Honestly, that isn’t very odd. Toxie’s voice sounds very similar to Dinklage.

I was so distracted by the high concept I didn't even realize we're at the point where we use K-Pop as Western trailer music now.
