Latest episode, the whole "Sheldon expressing empathy thing".
I get that Stuart is supposed to be The Friend Nobody Likes but did it seem like Leonard was uncharacteristically jerk-ish when he said he didn't want Sheldon or Stuart on the Vegas bus with them? Sheldon, I understand, but I thought it was rather mean, and an out-of-nowhere jerk moment from him.
Thankfully, the tag scene showed Stuart got to come along anyway, but still.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI agree, sometimes it's a little mean spirited. Of course, from our perspective Stuart seems harmless but it's implied he's such a sad sack he dampens what should be fun events.
Honestly, I'm actually surprised Emily is still around after the last season finale. I'd assume it was foreshadowing a break-up a few episodes into the season but if anything she seems to be bonding with the group even more. They also haven't brought up her and Penny's contempt for each other, although they haven't really talked much if at all since that episode.
You know, after waching again the firsts season I must said I cant stand howard with his pseudo-pervert charaterization, so far seen him devolpt into a marry men was the best from the show, in fact he remind a little bit to chandler in that way.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"GOD DAMN IT, RAJ, YOU SUCK
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Actually, I think he made the right decision, his timing just sucked. He has been unsure about his relationship with Emily for a long time, and he clearly has feelings for Claire. He said it himself, he could not stop thinking about her. Staying in the relationship because he is to afraid to break up would be unfair to Emily. She may be hurt now, but this way it is better in the long run.
Shame it didn't work out though, I liked her.

You lost!Yeah, his mistake was A) doing this right before Valentines Day and B) thinking he could trade one girl for the other. Romantic relationships shouldn't be like jobs, waiting to drop one because you have another lined up.
Also, credit where it's due, I didn't realize catch until just seconds before The Reveal that Bernadette is pregnant because the camera lingered. Given the glacial pace of the show I did think their story was hinting in that direction.
I also liked Leonard and Penny's story, not so much the final joke, but it's one of the few times in the show that actually acknowledges the ages of the characters. Penny's distraught realization she isn't 21 anymore felt genuine. And I liked the "relationship chicken" they played with the Moulin Rouge midnight showing.
One thing: how much chuck lorre influence is there in the show? Because Raj arc been gay-ish feel like chuck lorre writing(or a least someone who was in two and half men) all over the place, to the point he was pretty much Alan harper expy.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Sorry to bump a really old thread but CBS ordered a spin-off starring a 9 year old Sheldon
It has been picked up straight to series.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThe only way I could see this convincingly working is if they did it is if the pilot started off as an homage to "How I Met Your Mother", and it shows Sheldon and Amy as parents, and their kids ask how they met or something like that.
And regarding last night's season finale, was anyone besides me expecting there to be another guy present with Amy when Sheldon proposed?
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationLooks okay, but nothing too great. I did chuckle at a few lines, like "For the record, they descended when I was 15." I will say the actress playing Mary Cooper is uncannily similar to Laurie Metcalf. The voice in particular.
As much as I absolutely adore Sheldon, I'm not sure I can really buy the character without Jim Parsons. Especially since it will be a really young actor on the role.
On the other hand, if he manages to be convincing and memorable, he will truly be a star for pulling it off.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWatched last night's episode, with the bounce house, and Halley's 1 year birthday.
My dad tends to have closed captioning on so he can hear the dialogue better, and i noticed that one of Bernadette's lines was apparently changed.
At the end, when the gang leaves to get Halley for her birthday, Bernadette is heard telling them to move slowly so she'll have more time to get her robe on. But the captioning actually said that Bernadette was telling them something like, "If any of you wants to change a diaper, you're in luck!"
Neither joke really works IMO.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI was thinking about the Force Awakens episode when the guys saw Episode 7 and I was wondering if it would've been in character for them to like or the hate the movie and if so why?
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook.Shows like TBBT often film variable punchlines and reaction shots to see what gets the biggest laugh, typically gauged by the studio audience. In this case Bernadette has had a reduced role because of Melissa Rauch's actual pregnancy (she recently gave birth).
The episode itself just wasn't all that funny, too many plotlines were going on. Amusingly, I used to work for a bounce house company and when Raj started crawling inside I was thinking "remove your shoes," and then Howard tells him the same and has to dodge thrown shoes. That, and the initial push-fight inside the bounce house were the funniest jokes of the episode.
This season has been extremely good for Leonard and Penny stories, big or small they've been both honest and funny. The Bitcoin episode a few weeks back actually made me nostalgic and I rewatched the first few seasons I had on dvd. It wasn't just the flashback nature of the episode but the Leonard/Penny story was like "Let's open an old wound... and then promptly fix it."
Re: I was thinking about the Force Awakens episode when the guys saw Episode 7 and I was wondering if it would've been in character for them to like or the hate the movie and if so why?
The thing is, that episode was made before Episode 7 even hit theaters, and the writers seem to just assume Star Wars fans would absolutely love it. And while I think most Star Wars fans liked it okay (myself included), it was mainly in a "It's not like the prequels" kind of like.
I think it would have been funnier if they hadn't shown their reaction to Force Awakens, as sort of a tease to actual fans to actually go see the film.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationYeah, they should've made the episode after the movie was released because I don't think they would've praised it as much in character.
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook. There is no reason to think they wouldn't have enjoyed it. The positive reception was, in large part, due to fans being excited for more Star Wars and it delivered. Now there might be some humor as they cool down from the "post-release" afterglow, but being overtly negative to an unreleased work is not really part of the shows style. They wait a few months before getting in some digs, like with the Green Lantern movie.
The show is being cancelled as one of its stars wants to leave, and since it's the show's break-out character that he's playing (or so I've been told - I can't say I like the programme all that much), what he says goes. Oh yeah, it's the guy who plays Sheldon Cooper.

Apparently, twelve seasons of really high wages and massive exposure's too much for the poor lamb.
The upcoming season is the last, so if you like it, enjoy it while it, er, lasts.
Well, as a fan I can comfortably say that twelve seasons is more than enough. And they got the decision before season 12 even aired, so there should be enough time for a proper series finale.
You lost!I know almost nothing about television production nor was I blessed to land such a big role.
But it does strike me as odd that someone who can gain such recognition and money from an award-winning role would simply stop and go, "wait, I want to do something else."
I can't imagine it's not a little frustrating that the entire show goes down the tube because he wants to bugger off and do something else - perhaps shows like these shouldn't be written around a single character anymore (cough) Roseanne (cough).
And it's not because he's homesick or expecting children or has a serious condition. He just wants off.
I don't know, if I were a season regular I'd be kind of miffed. Not miffed enough to harass him on Twitter, but enough that I'm going to have a negative subconscious vibe about him years later.
Well, not like I really paid that much attention to this show, but damned if the internet hasn't informed me that Jim Parsons is leaving and the show is ending.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Any time a popular enough series gets above 6-7 seasons, the question starts to become when will the actors be done. Every year since about season 8 even the actors have been saying they aren't sure how long the show will be around, in fact the last contract renewal the main three took a pay-cut so that Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik could get raises and stay on the show. They also have their own concerns about any declining quality issues, and would want to leave on a high note instead of floundering indefinitely.
Well, after 100 episodes, there's syndication which means there's no real point to doing a show anymore because they can be sold to be played forever somewhere as a cheap fill-in for other network programming.
In the case of the Big Bang theory all of the major actors have other roles they can and sometimes want to.
John Galecki has mentioned he'd like to be a recurring character on The Connors (Roseanne's reboot without Roseanne) so it's good timing for him as he has a close relationship with Sarah Gilbert.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. No offense, but if Jim Parsons want's to be done, he has every right to be done. He's played Sheldon Cooper for 12 years and if he wants to move on to roles that are maybe more challenging than that he should.
Because some people come across as damn entitled over the shows ending.
I also posit that maybe Jim Parsons, who did marry his now husband last year, wants maybe to have a high profile role where he doesn't have to fake being heterosexual in his future instead of doing jokes on Sheldons and Amy's sex life for the next 5 years.
