I think I have a better one: Rated M For Manly

The Duke Nukem picture is pretty good, but I think the front cover of this issue of MAN COMICS is about as far as you can take manliness without being a parody. This other issue of MAN COMICS is also good, but it's also kinda racist. Thoughts?

[up] Doesn't look quite right, in my opinion he looks reasonably worried that he might die.

Edit: [down] yes, IMO his eyes look worried while his teeth look like he's trying to be badass.

You really think so? It looks to me like he's gritting his teeth in rage.

I could see where either is there. I like this one, because of the big ole "MAN" on the top, but I think maybe the Duke Nukem one is more illustrative. Could we find one where he has some bikini girl hanging off of him? I also like this one [1].

Maybe a Frazetta Conan The Barbarian pic? Though I think the Duke Nukem one works pretty well.

I prefer this one. Duke Nukem is more like Testosterone Poisoning for me.

Duke Nukem, being a parody, is Testosterone Poisoning.

What's precedent ever done for us?

Duke is a parody of excessive manliness, not manliness played straight.

There was that one suggested in Blood Knight. Let me go see if I can spot it.

Saxton Hale is already on Testosterone Poisoning. He's the biggest parody of MANLINESS you;re gonna find, and he doesn't play it straight.

Maybe go with a '90s Anti-Hero, since they always tried to play this straight.

[up][up] Sure, but this is a different image of Saxon Hale.

How many Super Man images are used out there among the various tropes? As long as none of them are the same, there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Um, the difference, if I remember the ykttw, is that Rated M for Manly was when the entire work was aimed at being macho, while Testosterone Poisoning could be in a work without it, just including a scene or character making fun of it.

And if that is the distinction, then either the Duke Nukem picture would work, or even the picture currently on Testosterone Poisoning (as it advertises that the entire work is doing something ultra macho).

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

Might I suggest the rating tag for Duke Nukem Forever.

I think the current pic is good. Its got more omph than the MAN one. Personally, I think MAN borders on War Is Hell, for the more realistic soldier and (possible) fear in his eyes.

I'd go with the MAN one. There is no fear in his eyes, only burning hatred of all things un-American, and given that it appears to be a war-time propaganda product, it was meant seriously.

What? No Chuck Norris? D:

Ahem...anyways...

Batman, Kamina (gurren lagann), Captain Falcon...and well duh, Chuck Norris. All the manliest of manly men.....well in my nerdy head.

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk.

Hell, why not go for Kenshiro, since he's not a parody XD

I think the OP has the right idea, but the wrong cover.

Can you top Hell-Rider for manliness?

This is from comics writer Chuck Dixon's Manlier Cover Gallery - lots other potential illustrations there, too.

Anyway, yeah I think the comic's fine. I don't see anything wrong with it.

While that comic is great, I don't think "I think this picture is better" is necessarily grounds for changing the picture. It isn't good for the pictures to be changing too often.
