During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

Apart from an oratorio Sky gave me, I was considering Bakasura from the OG Hindu legends (We have the Smite version up, but I wanted to look at the original)

King Kansa and Putna from the original story would be worth a look since their up from Krishna Aur Kans. I asked and it seems the story is mostly simlair meaning that they'd definitely be potentials. (Theirs added details in that Kansa is actually a re-incarnated demon whose an enemy of Lord Krishna hence his grudge).

Fair point there Vile but I really can't support Starr's inclusion when the work goes into heavy detail about the toll on his sanity his Humiliation Conga takes and by the time he's gone off the deep end I think there's far too much of a cause and effect to ignore.

In other news... I'm not interested in watching Kamen Rider Saber for now, not really my cup of tea. Fortunately, Toei just registered a new trademark: Shin Kamen Rider. Is it a sequel to Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue? A Darker and Edgier web-series in the same vein as Kamen Rider Amazons? I have no idea but I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this.

Had a thought. Lost it. It might’ve been this: Nothing wrong with writing a character like a CM or MB. Just make sure you have an actual story good or bad and definitely don’t try to force something like that.

Its just a lot of it goes with the usual Garth Ennis' black comedy (like i don't have to mention Ennis' double standard regarding portrayals when men get raped and when women get raped, when the first is used as a black comedy, like "haha, he got raped and whines, what a loser" and the second is treated with appropriate horror) and that a lot of it is used by Garth for the sake of making us laugh at the villain, rather than pity him. So that's why the question regarding Herr Starr occured to me.

Horde Prime hasn't appeared in the story yet because this fanfic is ongoing. Meanwhile Aroda is defeated and the story continues without her/it.
I haven't reached that part yet but I know those things because I did some research before starting to read.
