In the void between worlds, two beings scanned a set of notes.

> While there were flaws in the execution, the idea of populating a specially-made space for use as an idea generator is a sound one. I believe we can iterate on the design, don't you?

One of the beings, resembling a collection of monitors, server racks, and other assorted parts, responded to the text box that appeared in his vision. What sort of changes do you have in mind? For every syllable, the display of one of the monitors fluctuated a bit, like the world's most unintuitive waveform. Particularly toward the end, people were growing deeply dissatisfied, even beyond the expected stress of being kidnapped from their worlds. I assume you would prefer to avoid something so tedious again.

> [Affirmative] Naturally. And there will, of course, be differences in style.

A scrawl of text like the output of a command line program appeared to the left of the second being, whose presence was indicated only by the floating words exchanged with its assistant. The text first appeared as a strange language that would be incomprehensible to a being not on their level, but after a few moments morphed rapidly between what might have been a very long series of bits, a low-level programming language, a high-level programming language, and plain text in that order. In the space between realities appears a deserted world. A city with no residents, though it had the room and resources for many.

> You will be there as well, as you might expect.

That should be no problem, if it is simply a matter of engaging with organics. In fact, broadly speaking, I find it rather enjoyable.

The scrawling text grew in length, each new segment undergoing the same transformation as the last. 51.2 square kilometers of urban flux, none of which remained in the same place from moment to moment. Though for now the sourceless wind whistled through empty streets, in a few moments that would not be the case. For 25 days, they would be alive with voices from across the realities. The lost ones, dragged into a new game+.

Merry Day After Christmas, Tvtropes! City of Lost Characters has returned in accordance with the words of Nostradamus. I'm Ocean, and with the blessing of the past GM I am now helming Season 2: New Game Plus!

This is, like its predecessor, an MMFRPG-style crossover game starring a hodgepodge of characters thrust from their home dimensions to a strange city in the space between worlds. Every day some new effect takes hold, altering the city or perhaps its residents for its duration. Shall they make friends amongst themselves and the other unfortunate saps stuck with them, or just snap from the stress? Who's to say?

(Hint: it's you. You are to say.)

Knowledge of COLC1, while nifty, is not required, so don't worry if you missed that train.

> Peruse Rules and Recommendations
  • Remember the RP rules and forum rules.
  • One character per player, to start with, and no OCs of your own creation. This may change as time passes.
    • They must be a character, ie. not a random encounter, red shirt, etc.
    • "Duo characters" count as one for this purpose. For clarity's sake, these are defined as a pair, trio, etc. who are strongly characterized by adventuring together more often than not.
    • Characters returning from Season 1 should be marked as such in their sheet.
  • Death Is Cheap here. Should your character meet a premature end, you're free to plop them in a tavern bedroom elsewhere in the city (sans what items they may have picked up), physically unharmed if perhaps a bit jarred. Unless you get bored of them, I guess, in which case they just go home or something and your new character shows up instead.
  • Speaking of new characters, for the sake of others' sanities character switches are limited to one per day. After all, it defeats the point if you're burning through characters so fast they become impossible to engage with.
  • Avoid Story Breaker Powers or abilities that'd be unmanageable in a roleplaying format (eg. time travel, powers with guaranteed autohits). I won't make a formalized list, but if a character you want to play has such a power you'll be expected to nerf or remove it.
  • Post headers aren't required, but are helpful in case someone needs to find something fast.
  • Expected post length is about a paragraph or two, but this is not a hard rule and you can go longer or shorter to achieve a certain effect. Just please for the love of god don't exclusively post either 3 words or 25k.
  • If you can't post for an extended amount of time, please try and tell someone so we know to work around it rather than sit there waiting.
  • There's a 95% chance I don't recognize your character from their original canon, so I assume you know your character better than I do; that said, while you probably won't get kicked if I find you are doing a massive derail, do expect it to be pointed out.
  • Expect spoilers for any series with an active character here, as well as other works that have previously made an appearance.

Right, let's see what we can do here.

  • Name: Saria
  • Source: Arknights
  • Age/Gender/Species: Late 30s/Female/Vouivre
  • Appearance: Diamond is more flexible than she is.
  • Personality: Saria is a very tough and strict woman, with a penchant for preserving order and discipline where needed. This attitude may cause her to appear cold and emotionless, and to an extent she is, with a very serious demeanor and honesty that can border on brutal at times. She has grown somewhat more thoughtful and compassionate throughout the years, but this is a slow, troubled process, and there is still a very long way to go.
  • Backstory: Born in Columbia, Saria was forced by rather uncaring parenting to forego crying or asking for help, and to instead solve her problems with her bare hands. When she was bullied at a young age, she started to learn boxing as a means to defend herself. When her toy car was broken, she had to teach herself how to fix it.
Growing up, she studied at the Trimounts Institute of Technology, which combined with her aspirations to help solve the calamities plaguing the world, led to her and a close friend founding Rhine Lab, a scientific research institute, where she took on the role of Director of the Defense Division.
However, the hostile and competitive environment and lack of ethics from some of the researchers and directors in the organization led to inhumane illegal experimentation, culminating in what became known to very select groups of people as the Flame Demon Incident. Following the disastrous event, and an ensuing falling out between the two founders, Saria decided to sever ties with Rhine Lab altogether, and departed to serve as an operator in Rhodes Island, a "pharmaceutical" company, where she works to this day.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Technological and Medical Expertise: Saria is well versed with technology, and particularly knowledgeable when it comes to medicine.
    • Combat Expertise: Saria is extremely proficient in close quarters combat, primarily hand-to-hand, as well as tactical planning, mainly when it comes to defensive maneuvers and positions.
    • Strength and Endurance: Saria is not only strong to a superhuman degree, capable of punching through concrete at her strongest, but she also has a very high tolerance to pain.
    • Originium Arts: Calcification: Saria has the ability to create and manipulate calcium in an area around her. She can create a tough enamel capable of withstanding harsh punishment around herself (depending on how thick she makes it), coat surfaces in the substance, weaken and slow down opponents through calcification of soft tissue, condense the material into large chunks, or even heal allies. Some of these finer applications require the use of her custom-made shield as an aid.
  • Items:
    • Jet Injector: A syringe device used to inject a person's body with medicine. It is filled with a solution that improves healing in localized parts of the body.
    • Originium Shield: A thick rectangular shield developed by Saria herself, which allows her to channel her Arts more effectively.
    • Monitor Bracelet: A bracelet that monitors her medical condition. Issued by Rhodes Island to all employees. Attached to her right ankle.
    • Blade: An ordinary weapon. Straight single edge.
  • Misc:
    • Vouivre is a humanoid race with draconic features, specifically wyverns. Hence the horns and tail.
    • She's not very good with children.
    • Likes futuristic decor.
    • Anyone under her authority may be expected to write full length reports reflecting on their actions overnight upon displays of particularly disappointing behavior.

Screw it, I finally got this old account back and it has all these Bucky icons.

Also, because of various trigger warnings about his past, a whole lot of things here are tag worthy, SO.

CW: depersonalization, abuse, body horror, Nazis, potential fictional depiction of DID.

  • Name: James "Bucky" Barnes

  • Source: Marvel Cinematic Universe

  • Age/Gender/Species: Looks late 20s, is late 90s; male; supersoldier/enhanced human

  • Appearance:

As the Winter Soldier

As Bucky

  • Personality: When Bucky lands in this new world, he is fresh out of a recent mind wipe and mostly a blank slate as a person. However, the longer he is free of HYDRA, and the more time he has to live a normal life (or at least one free of their grasp), the more memories will return and his personality will develop and change. However, there will always be some degree of depersonalization between who he once was and who he has become now.

In general, it is clear that Bucky is very reserved and prefers mostly to keep things close to his chest. Years of torture, manipulation, and full removal of anything that could be human and not just a biological weapon, along with his own guilt and remorse over everything he has been through, have left him cautious about allowing others to get close. This also makes him something of a loner if left to his own devices. He is content to have companions at times, but in general tends to be more introverted and keeps to himself until he has formed a proper bond with someone else.

However, once Bucky has developed that bond, he becomes loyal to a fault, to a point that he may even come to seem dependent on people he trusts. Whether it comes to him naturally, as even before his abduction by HYDRA, Bucky showed a constant willingness to follow Steve against his better judgment-or if it is more from spending all his consciousness across decades molded into a brainwashed weapon-Bucky seems to be much more comfortable taking on the role of a follower rather than a leader. While perfectly able to function autonomously, Bucky seems to get along better in the world if he has someone else to guide him.

This also tends to make Bucky rather malleable as a person. While not exactly passive, as Bucky can and will take action for himself when he feels it's the right thing to do or if someone else needs help, Bucky has difficulty holding up under the pressure of a stronger personality suggesting or "suggesting" things he should do instead. Spending so much time manipulated and forced into near-slavery has also left its marks on him, which also means he is, at least in his early days, likely to fall for scammers and charlatans who present a good enough image to him or offer something he needs/wants badly enough.

That said, when left to his own devices and outside the sphere of others' influence, Bucky shows an inquisitive and curious nature. He is clearly fascinated by science and tech, as his last night out before shipping to World War II was spent at a Stark science fair, and while living in Wakanda, it was clear he was delighted by the technology presented. He also seeks out obscure new books and materials for himself, as, somehow, he was able to procure a copy of The Hobbit when it was first published, and clearly enjoyed it.

Bucky isn't afraid to use said intelligence in wily ways to gain advantages over others. He was a high-level sniper in a time where he needed to calculate his shots in his head, often without a spotter, skills which did not deteriorate after the decades in HYDRA's custody. He can plot out and enact a plan to free Zemo from prison in a matter of moments, convincingly act as though he is still the brainwashed supersoldier while in hostile territory, use the tech of terrorist organizations against them, like using Karli's app to track the movements of the Flagsmashers, and does all of it on the fly with a minimum of time to plan. The only thing he can't quite manage is to convincingly lie, preferring to refer to hypotheticals and using the truth sarcastically to get desired results.

Much of Bucky's motivations after his recovery is soaked in guilt from what he was forced to do. Despite not being responsible for any of the actions of the Winter Soldier, Bucky still has all the memories of what he was forced to do, and is very repentant and seeks to atone for his past. While on some level he must realize this, he still insists on his own guilt, and tries his best to make amends, though he often doesn't know quite how to handle it. He will still do whatever he can in order to make things right for other people.

In the same sense, Bucky shows a stubbornness that might seem to collide with the concept that he can be easily swayed. Even though Bucky might be easily talked into or out of actions, he will still often fixate on achieving what he feels is the right thing to do, even if he doesn't necessarily wish to be involved. As much as Bucky wishes to live a peaceful life for himself, he will always rush in to defend others as soon as he knows he could be needed.

  • Backstory: James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is a World War II veteran with the 107th Infantry Regiment, and lifelong companion of Captain America Steve Rogers. At some point during the war, Bucky was drafted into the Army, and shipped overseas to join the fighting, where he and his regiment were captured by HYDRA forces. Bucky was taken by Arnim Zola and experimented on, granting him a version of the supersoldier serum which granted him enhanced abilities, until he and the other PO Ws were rescued by Steve Rogers.

After his rescue, Bucky joined Steve and other soldiers in the Howling Commandos, striking out at HYDRA in several specialized missions. During an attempt to capture Zola in the Alps, Steve and Bucky were ambushed, and Bucky was knocked off the train and fell into a frozen gorge, assumed killed in action.

However, Bucky's abilities from Zola's experiments allowed him to survive, though damaged and down an arm. On being found by HYDRA and the Soviet Armed Forces, Bucky was taken captive, installed with cybernetics to support his body and replace his lost arm, and repeatedly tortured and brainwashed into a covert operative known to governments around the world as the Winter Soldier. Over the course of the 20th and early 21st century, the Winter Soldier was used to eliminate high profile threats to HYDRA, destablize governments, and assassinate anyone who needed to be removed from the plans of the organization. When not "in use", the Soldier was stored in cryogenic stasis, resulting in his apparent longevity.

By the time of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, after being sent to attack Nick Fury in order for Alexander Pierce to be able to carry out Project Insight, Steve Rogers learned of the fate of his best friend, and was able to fight the Soldier to a standstill and bring HYDRA's machinations to a stop. During the course of their confrontation, something about fighting Steve brought back some of Bucky's prior memories, leaving him to make the choice to rescue Steve and walk away from HYDRA.

  • Skills/Abilities:

Superhuman enhancement: Due to being experimented on with a version of the supersoldier serum, Bucky has superstrength up to a level of a lower level superhuman, likely to the level of being able to lift cars. He also has enhanced agility, durability, speed, stamina, and reflexes, making him an extremely dangerous physical combatant. He also has enhanced healing, allowing him to recover from bruises and scrapes in minutes, and severe injuries in a matter of days or even hours.

Cybernetic enhancement: In addition to the serum, Bucky has also been implanted with cybernetics, primarily his left arm, currently made of titanium. His arm grants him extra superstrength, at least enough to be physically stronger than Steve Rogers on a brute force level. The arm itself is also bulletproof, though it is not indestructible. One flaw is that his metal arm is less flexible than a flesh one, which can have its downsides.

Master martial artist/assassin: Between growing up learning to fight, training in gyms, his time in the Army, and heavy programming/training under the control of HDYRA, Bucky has learned a wide variety of abilities with hand-to-hand fighting, using melee weapons, and long range guns of all kinds. Against an untrained foe of equal strength, Bucky's training will usually give him the upper hand. Bucky is also a highly capable sniper, showing incredible skill at a long range even before his enhancements, and thereafter able to accurately shoot a target he could not see through walls by extrapolating their position from the point of view of another person in the room.

Other abilities: Bucky is also a trained pilot, able to fly jets, helicopters, and drive various vehicles without hesitation, and speaks several languages fluently, including English, Romanian, Russian, German, Japanese, and Xhosa, with implications he could potentially understand up to 30 languages in total.

  • Items: On arrival, Bucky has nothing but the Winter Soldier tactical suit HYDRA dressed him in, made of leather and kevlar and resistant to small arms fire.

  • Misc: Bucky is taken from the ending of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, just after rescuing Steve from the Potomoc and leaving him on the bank of the river. He has only just escaped HYDRA, and will not be fully "human" just yet. He will also be injured from having just fought Steve.

A further extra aspect to Bucky is the presence of another "being" who may or may not be a separate personality all its own, the Winter Soldier. Whether this being is another person, or merely the autonomous actions of an installed program inside Bucky's brain, it's clear enough that the Soldier and Bucky are not one and the same. While they share awareness to some degree, as Bucky does state that he can remember all the things his body did while under the work of the Winter Soldier, any other degrees of crossover knowledge or established differences between them is difficult to place. The main tell seems to be that Bucky is right-handed, and the Soldier is left-handed.

After some thinking about it... here we go.

  • Name: Trevor Belmont, House of Belmont
  • Source: Castlevania
  • Age/Gender/Species: 20 (he sure doesn't look it!), male, human
  • Appearance: "God shits in my dinner once again." Usually looks like he's been chewing on a raw onion for too long.
  • Personality: Having his entire family excommunicated and destroyed on the basis of what was basically professional jealousy and hogwash left Trevor more than a little sour. A bitter misanthrope, he's mostly happy to let people sort their own problems out - or more often, die trying to do that - as he lives day-by-day trying to get by. Terribly unimpressed with religion and all of its bells and whistles, and the fact that the Church basically ruined his family for nothing surely has nothing to do with it.
    • And yet, despite being an apathetic and ill-tempered grouch when sober and a mercurial braggart when drunk, there is a hero in him, as befitting his lineage. He may try to convince himself that he's no more than a burned-out has-been, but he's willing to step up and protect those who cannot protect themselves (even if he's going to grumble about it). When he's not out there fighting, he can be a bit of a huffing manchild; going giddy at the sight of a new weapon or learning a new tidbit about how to better exterminate the creatures of the night. He can be quick to rib and prod people, especially if they come from a religious or a supernatural background.
  • Backstory: The Belmont Family's significance as the premier fighters against that what goes bump in the night dates back to the 11th Century, to a French crusader named Leon Belmont. He was the one who first took up the fabled vampire-slaying whip and vowed to destroy Dracula, the vampire and the lord of the night, with numerous demonic, undead or plain mad underlings under his command. The Belmonts have been fighting Dracula all this time, chasing him around first Europe and then specifically the region of Wallachia.
    • Fast forward to the 15th Century; the Belmonts had long been a household name whispered amongst the laypeople; near-mystical warriors whose prowess in combating evil bordered on supernatural. One thing came to another (the Church issuing an excommunication to the family certainly, uh, helped), and soon the adoring masses became a rabid mob that stormed the ancestral Belmont Hold, burned it to the ground, and killed or chased away the remaining members of the family. As far as Trevor Belmont is concerned, he is the last scion of the clan. He is not particularly happy about it.
    • The year is 1476. The Church decided that burning Dracula's wife at a stake as a witch and then celebrating that event a year later was the way to go. Dracula, being an all-powerful sorcerer and scientist, was happy to prove them wrong. As far as Trevor is concerned, he kind of has a point - and while wholesale slaughter of the entire region is kind of going overboard, most people here were dumb or cruel enough to deserve it. Were it not for the mysterious City in the ether whisking him away, he would end up on an unlikely quest to defeat the lord of the night alongside his unlikely allies - but, fate is funny like that.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Monster Hunter Extraordinaire - One could be forgiven for thinking Belmonts do dabble in the supernatural (other than killing it), considering the physical feats they're capable of. Even when out of practice, Trevor has keen reflexes and a tough hide; able to weather blows that would kill lesser men twice over and avoid attacks thrown at great speeds and from unlikely angles. Having learned how to fight creatures that are, in general, faster, stronger and tougher than him, these instincts are basically second nature. There's nothing supernatural about it, really; he is what is sometimes nebulously-called "peak human".
      • Needs To Shake The Rust Off - ...although he's definitely out of practice, so expect his first few days to be a bit shaky until he figures himself out again (or keeps sober and/or comfortable long enough).
    • Bestiary Brain - Not only physically adept, Trevor has a thorough and intimate knowledge on how to combat the supernatural. This is generally not going to be as applicable as it would be back home - after all, the threats in the multiverse are a little more varied than that - but he's quick to analyze and learn weaknesses of the beasts he fights. Some of it is common sense, but you try applying that when under pressure.
    • Weapon Expert - Though this is most evident with his whip, there is no weapon he can't handle well; from swords through maces and axes, throwing knives, crossbows etc., as well as improvised weapons like tree branches or sharp bones. More advanced or esoteric stuff won't be too much trouble to figure out for long, either, unless the weapon in question is truly mystifying. That also comes with the knowledge about weapons themselves; a lot of varying anecdotes come from those.
    • Catch These Hands - It's not his preferred mode of operation, but sometimes your foe is smart enough to disarm you; therefore, Trevor is not the worst at hand-to-hand. It's no fancy martial art but simple grit and experience seasoned with rough pragmatism. Plus, most creatures of the night generally do not expected to be decked in the schnoz or have their kneecap shattered with a kick, so that also helps with keeping the edge.
    • A number of more mundane abilities required to get by on your own; simple repairs and weapon/armor maintenance, cooking, trapping, hunting etc.
  • Items:
    • Vampire Killer - Arguably, the most famous whip in all the pop-culture media. An unparalleled weapon for dealing with the supernatural. Due to the consecrations placed upon it, it deals supreme damage to creatures born from evil and magic (that's without the inertia strong enough to pop a man's eye right out of his socket); lesser monsters explode on the spot. It can also be used for non-lethal disabling, mostly by tripping people or throwing them around.
    • Shortsword - It's... a shortsword. There's nothing special about it, but hey, sometimes you just need a good length of steel as a backup weapon.
    • A number of knives; a boot knife, a couple of throwing knives, a couple of wooden stakes, and a little saw that's subpar for combat but good for cutting something off, like a limb of a dead monster.
    • The clothes on his back, featuring a fancy furcoat and a shirt with the Belmont family crest.
  • Misc.
    • Comes from the very beginning of Season 1.
    • Could really use a beer right now.

  • Name: Donatello, or Donnie
  • Source: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
  • Age/Gender/Species: 14/Male/Mutated turtle
  • Appearance: Rocks machines.
  • Personality: The smartest of the turtles, and unfortunately aware of it. Donnie is a gadgeteer genius of the highest order, and never hesitates to show off his inventions and rub his brain in everyone else's faces. He's easily irritated by silly behavior and is considerably snarky due to having to deal with two goofball brothers and one knucklehead all the time. He's got a dramatic streak and can be quite mad scientist-y at times, but he does genuinely love his family and clings to his tech so he can feel useful on the team (which, incidentally, is why he hates magic so much).
  • Backstory:
    • Once upon a time, an actor named Lou Jitsu was kidnapped and forced to fight in a yokai battle arena (long story). During his time there, he caught the eye of one Baron Draxum, who was so attracted to Lou's abs amazed by Lou's fighting skills that he decided to use Lou's DNA to create the ultimate warriors.
    • So he kidnapped the guy, got his DNA, and used it to mutate four adorable baby turtles. Lou, however, objected to the part where baby turtles were being mutated and proceeded to kick ass, set the lab on fire, escape with the turtles, and get mutated into a rat. Oops.
    • And so Splinter (as he was now known) moved to the New York sewers to raise the now humanoid turtles: Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo. For thirteen years, life was normal (or at least as normal as it could get when you're a humanoid turtle raised by an action star-turned rat)...and then the turtles encountered some weird dog thingy being pursued by agents of the aforementioned Baron Draxum. This single meeting changed everything, turning their lives into a nonstop whirlwind of ninja action, a variety of scenes straight out of anime, and slapstick. A lot of slapstick.
    • (backstory's a bit abridged but eh it'll do)
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Ninjutsu: Well...duh. Skilled in basic ninjutsu, and can wield his bo-staff very well, though his skills aren't honed due to Splinter's reluctance to advance the brothers' training.
    • Mutant: Also duh. He's stronger, faster, and more durable than your average turtle. The last one is mostly used for the aforementioned slapstick.
    • Genius intellect: We did mention he was the smart one, no? His mind far surpasses that of the average human. Donnie's knowledge spans a vast array of disciplines including, but not limited to: chemistry, literature, cryptology, physics, engineering, biology, mathematics, and to a lesser extent, mystic properties.
      • Enhanced fabrication: Can create functional high-tech objects/weaponry, decorative art such as sculptures, and tools at varying levels of complexity with relative ease and at an astounding rate. This includes architectural work and construction using natural materials such as wood. Which brings us to...
  • Items:
    • Tech-Bo: Donnie's bo-staff is an "impossibly futuristic high-tech weapon" (his words, not mine) made of titanium that can morph into nearly anything he needs. Knives, bayonets, saws, flamethrowers, drills, rocket hammers, etc., and it can also serve as a selfie stick. Unfortunately, it has one big weakness: it runs on batteries.
    • Artificial Shell: Donnie is a soft-shelled turtle. This means getting hit in the shell would be very bad. Luckily, he's found a way around this: a mechanical cover for it that can unfold into a VTOL-styled jet pack. It also has many retractable waldo arms tipped with various tools for quick building. (No word on whether this runs on batteries too.)
    • Goggles: Early in the series, Donnie upgraded his goggles to detect mystic energy readings. Now they can...well, detect magic.
  • Misc.: He is afraid of beach balls.

"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."

  • Source: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • Age/Gender/Species: 14, Female, Human (magical girl) Witch
  • Appearance: In magical girl outfit In school uniform Oktavia von Seckendorf
  • Personality: Sayaka is an idealistic middle girl. However, she is no Pollyanna; she is willing to fight and die for what she believes in. When her friends are in danger, she rushes in to save them. She sometimes acts before her rational part catches up to her and regrets it. In battle, she is very determined to take her enemy down, so if she gets knocked down, she wills herself up and attacks again and again. If she gets hit, she will block out the pain and keep fighting through it.
She has a strong but perfectionistic sense of justice; at times, she beats herself up for not being able to live up to her standards. Even contemplating harming her friends will make her feel seriously guilty, and she may lose her will to live if she feels like a failure to live up to what a hero should be.
When she becomes the witch Oktavia von Seckendorf, she becomes a beast, not a person, and loses her memory. She becomes much more hostile and cruel, even attacking and attempting to kill her former friends.
  • Backstory: Sayaka was an ordinary middle school girl with a boring existence. One day, she was approached by the Mentor Mascot Kyubey, who offered her a contract to become a magical girl in exchange for one wish. Upon seeing her childhood friend and love interest, Kamijou, in despair as he could no longer play the violin due to an injury, she made a contract to become a magical girl in exchange for Kamijou getting his arm fixed. One day, while hunting a witch, she walked into what she thought was a witch's labyrinth but instead was a portal to this city.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Healing Factor: For Sayaka, losing a limb is only a minor annoyance as she can quickly grow a new one. She can also block out her pain receptors, but that comes with the obvious drawback that she might forget how badly injured she is. As a consequence of her wish, she can also heal others. These are the ways she can die:
      • Physical destruction of her Soul Gem
      • Being separated from her soul gem for an extended period of time
    • Base abilities as a magical girl: Like other magical girls, Sayaka’s physical abilities are enhanced, allowing her to jump vertically for five meters and horizontally across streets. Her raw strength is mediocre by magical girl standards; she makes up for it with speed and agility.
    • Sword mastery: Sayaka is very agile, and has fast reflexes, which makes her suited for close-quarters-combat using swords. She can swat away bullets with her sword. For ranged attacks, Sayaka can summon swords with blades that can be launched forwards at the press of a button.
    • Magic circle: She can summon a small magic circle, 1 meter in diameter, which looks like a musical staff. While standing inside it, she can heal and repair her items at a faster rate, in exchange for depleting her magic faster. She can also use it as a platform for standing on in midair.
    • Oktavia von Seckendorf: If her magic becomes depleted, or if she falls into deep despair (which is correlated with her magic becoming depleted), she will turn into a witch, Oktavia von Seckendorf. When she becomes a witch, she loses her memory and cannot communicate in normal human language. Oktavia can attack her foes by throwing spinning wooden wheels at a fast speed. If Oktavia is killed, she respawns as Sayaka, and she will not turn into Oktavia for at least a day and a half, barring extreme circumstances.
  • Items:
    • Soul Gem: A Soul Jar containing her soul. It looks like a silver ring in nominal form, and can turn into a blue crystal on demand. In this form, it can act as a detector for magical energy, and also contains sensory receptors. Sayaka needs her soul gem in this form to transform into a magical girl. When Sayaka transforms into her magical girl form, the soul gem is located on her abdomen. If the soul gem is destroyed, Sayaka dies. If her soul gem is separated from her, at a distance of over 100 meters, she cannot control her body, and her vital signs drop to zero. If her body is separated from her soul gem for an extended period of time, it decays.
When Sayaka becomes a witch, it becomes a grief seed. It is dropped when she is killed. Grief seeds contain magical energy, and thus magical beings can recharge mana using them.
    • Swords: Sabers which Sayaka summons magically. When she presses a button on the hilt, the blades are launched forwards as a ranged weapon.

  • Name: Daisy Buchanan
  • Source: The Great Gatsby
  • Age/Gender/Species: 23, Female, Human
  • Appearance: "Beautiful little fool".
  • Personality:
    • Daisy puts on a ditzy persona, often presenting herself as a foolish, innocent bimbo and uses it to add to her charm. However, she is more intelligent as she appears, thus capable of adapting to her surroundings. She goes with her Brainless Beauty facade as she believes that it'll make her life much easier.
    • She's also materialistic and selfish, often prioritizing money and luxuries. She gets bored easily and is often careless because of it. If she makes a mess, she'll either hide it or run away from it then hope that it'll be cleaned up on its own. Even if said mess involved somebody dying at her hands, accidental or not.
    • Even with her shallowness, Daisy is troubled from her life (which included a toxic husband), which may explain her hedonistic ways. Give her some time within this city and it's likely that she'll vent it out sooner or later; whether it'll be when she's alone or towards someone she manages to befriend.
  • Backstory:
    • Born Daisy Fay, she was raised luxuriously in Louisiana. At the age of 17, she started a relationship with the then penniless Jay Gatsby where they both promise to marry each other. However, Gatsby was sent to serve in Great War while Daisy married polo player Tom Buchanan, had a daughter together and moved to East Egg, Long Island.
    • Five years later, her second cousin-once-removed, Nick Carraway, moved to the neighboring West Egg and met the now wealthy Gatsby. Hearing that Gatsby longed to reunite with Daisy, Nick arranged him and Daisy to meet. There they were reunited and rekindled their relationship despite Daisy being married. Later on, Daisy, Tom, Gatsby, Nick and a friend (Jordan Baker) visited the Plaza Hotel. When everyone arrived, Gatsby and Tom got into an fight over Daisy's infidelity. Gatsby tried claiming that Daisy never loved Tom but it turned out that she loved both. The fight ended with Daisy leaving with Gatsby while Tom left with the remaining two.
    • On their way home, Daisy ran over Tom's mistress, Myrtle Wilson, who ran in front of Gatsby's car. She had previously seen Tom driving that same car and hoped to reconcile with him, which was why she got in front of the car. After running over Myrtle, Gatsby stopped the car and took over the wheel, fleeing from the scene. Gatsby took the blame for Myrtle's death, leading to Tom telling Myrtle's husband that he was responsible for her death. The grieving husband shot Gatsby dead in his pool before turning the gun on himself. Once news of Gatsby's death spread, Daisy and her family moved to Chicago. They didn't leave any forward address, thus they were gone like the wind.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Charm: Daisy is quite a charmer thus, she's capable of alluring someone and make them spill some secrets.
    • Reckless Driver: Daisy is simply incapable of safely driving a car. She'll drive double the speed limit and run over basically anything that gets in the way. Useful for getting to a faraway place quickly, not so useful for a short drive.
  • Items:
    • Wallet: Contains a few hundred dollar bills from the 1920s.
  • Misc:
    • Frequently wears white.
    • Speaks in Gray.

Ore-O Unbroken Bond from Alrest (Troper Knight) Relationship Status: Drift compatible

BEWARE! HERE BE SPOILERS FOR XENOBLADE 2

  • Name: Nia
  • Source: Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • Age/Gender/Species: Appears to be late teens, early 20's, but is much older than she looks/Female/Gormotti (actually Flesh Eater Blade)
  • Appearance: As a Gormotti, As a Blade
  • Personality: Nia is sarcastic, brash, cynical, temperamental, and foul-mouthed and she doesn't hesitate to give her thoughts on some people or ideas that she doesn't like. Underneath that prickly exterior, however, there is a softer side that she'll share with people she can trust, though her ribbing is more playful than usual. She also prefers to keep people alive as much as she could, though she won't hesitate to get her hands dirty when needed. Though, she keeps to herself when her past is involved out of fear of her identity being exposed, thus she keeps up her disguise and will not use her true form unless she absolutely has to.
  • Backstory: (CW: Mentions of Cannibalism) The Cloud Sea of Alrest is home to many massive beings known as Titans and Nia's home of Gormotti is one of them. She lived as a "daughter" of a powerful noble with her sister and a loyal Blade of his. In truth, she's a Blade meant to stand by her family's side. However, this would not last as her sister grew ill and her father did anything he could to heal her, even going as far as to throw away his fortune for her sake, yet she could not be cured. Eventually, the girl perished, and Nia had to consume her flesh to survive and pretend to be her for her father's sake. Soon after, her father died and she and the Blade she awakened went on to live off on their own. Eventually, they were captured by Indol, who deemed her kind as a Flesh Eater as illegal and had soon been saved by a mysterious masked man and joined him to his group.

    • That group is known as Torna: a group of terrorists that seek to destroy Alrest and slay the Architect (the god of her world). Though, she did not stick around long before she met Rex, a boy with a dream to reach the mythical world of Elysium and Pyra, a girl who came from said world and who wants to go there, who is also the Aegis, a Blade created by the Architect (the god of this world). Seeing as her old crew killed him (he got better) and are plotting to kill a crew of people that got them to Pyra, she defected from them and escaped their assault. Later on, they would have the inventor of the first Artificial Blade, a Special Inquisitor of a militaristic nation and the prized Blade of said nation, and an exiled prince of an isolationist kingdom with a Blade that can communicate with the titan the kingdom is on. Eventually, they made their way onto Indol to meet up with the Praetor, who is also a Driver of the other Aegis (who is a part of Torna), but for Nia, she'll find herself somewhere completely different...
  • Skills/Abilities:

    • Flesh Eater Blade: Blades tend to be stronger, faster, and more durable than the average person and it's no exception for Flesh Eaters. In fact, her abilities are boosted beyond that of a regular Blade, with her durability in particular being the stand-out. She can also last for a very long time and never look like she's aged a day, but she's not immortal. The core crystal on her chest can be broken and if done so, she will die and what would kill a normal person (like an injury to the heart or brain) would kill her as well. As stated before, she will not break out this form unless she has to and her normal form, while a bit stronger than the average person, is weaker than her Blade form.
      • Water Affinity/Supreme Healer: She can command water-based ether from the environment and can use it for both attacks and healing. She can launch slices and jets of water that can cut though flesh with ease. Speaking of healing, hers is unparalleled compared to any other Blade on Alrest. She can manipulate the regeneration of cells to fix all kinds of wounds and can even weaponize it to produce a fast-acting cancer on any opponents hit by her attacks and can drain their life force and give it to herself and her allies. However, an environment that could deprive her of the ether can dampen her powers.
    • Weapon Mastery: During her travels, she has attained a talent for using all kinds of weapons from chakrams to swords to spears to claws to even ether-spewing cannons.

    • Survivalism: Given that she had to go on the run, she would have plenty of knowledge of living without modern amenities, like hunting for her own food and how to set up camp.

    • First Aid: Nia has a surprising amount of knowledge when it comes to fixing the body for any injuries. It's also good for hiding her true form while still providing aid.

  • Items:

    • Catalyst Scimitar: Nia's personal Blade weapon, a sword that she uses to channel her ether-based attacks. If it ever gets wrecked or lost, she can summon a new one to replace it. In comparison to other swords, it's stronger and more durable than a one made of steel, but not overly so.

    • She has a few knives in on her hip and a pack to carry stuff.
  • Misc:
    • Her accent can be pinned as Welsh from someone from Earth. An example.
    • According to this height chart, she would be around 4'8''
    • She also displays some feline-like behavior like hissing and scratching at things.
    • Normally, she'd have her Blades with her, but for some reason, she's on her own in the City.
    • Her speech is in this color.

~minseok42: So, trivia: I considered Sayaka a potential backup back in COLC1, though I never did it (and did play her in a different rp though not one that lasted long). I'm pretty into Madoka Magica (though not so deep that I can like...name every Magireco character

Anyway, the thing I'm immediately noticing is the lack of the most notable consequence of Sayaka's soul gem running out of juice: her witch form, Oktavia von Seckendorff. (And you specifically mention her being on a witch hunt, so it's not the post-show world where they don't exist.) I wouldn't be against Oktavia as an enemy (if likely with some nerfing), though it's understandable if you're afraid of having a loop of "fall into despair and become witch ==> die ==> respawn ==> fall into despair and become witch". For what it's worth, the powers of the city would block such a loop; let's say she'd respawn merely Kinda Depressed instead of in full despair, and would need at least a day and a half to Oktavia again. ...Or if you'd simply prefer not to deal with it at all, I guess I oughtn't force you.

(You also didn't mention the passive magic loss from just the soul gem controlling the body, but I was going to have that be so slight as to be irrelevant anyway, so don't worry about that.)

Also I don't blame you for this one since I haven't actually stated it yet (oops), but new arrivals are actually teleported to the City. Sorry 'bout that.

~Cutegirl920fire, ~Ore-O: [tup][tup] Nia and Daisy are accepted. And since things are filling up, signups will close at 25 characters (counting mine).

  • Name: Narancia Ghirga
  • Source: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
  • Age/Gender/Species: 17, male, human
  • Appearance: Fill him with lead, Aerosmith!
  • Personality:
    • Despite being nearly an adult, Narancia is immature, impulsive, and sometimes thoughtless. He is significantly uneducated and has problems with things like basic math. On the other hand, he's not exactly stupid, able to think fast under pressure and outwit his foes.
    • Narancia is quick-tempered, foul-mouthed, and tends to fly into fits of rage. Nevertheless, he is loyal to those he considers friends, and shows a sweet side to his comrades.
  • Backstory:
    • Narancia is a member of Passione, one of the most prominent mafia gangs of Italy, and is part of the team serving directly under capo Bucciarati.
    • Narancia had a pretty unhappy childhood: his mother died from a disease, his father neglected him, his friend framed him for robbery, and Narancia himself contracted an eye disease while in detention. He met Bucciarati while living on the streets and, after Bucciarati helped him get medical treatment, he joined Passione.
    • The Bucciarati team's latest mission was to retrieve the Passione boss's daughter, Trish, and deliver her to a secret meeting place in Venice. After successfully completing the mission, Bucciarati learned that the boss's true intention was to kill Trish all along. Bucciarati and his team decided to turn against the boss. Narancia initially struggled with the decision, but ultimately agreed to join the rebellion.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Aerosmith:
      • This is Narancia's Stand — a manifestation of his psychic energy, which can be summoned and dismissed at any time. Aerosmith takes the form of a small red toy plane, about the length of Narancia's arm. Narancia can precisely pilot Aerosmith mentally; it can venture up to several tens of meters away from Narancia. However, he can't "see" remotely through his Stand, beyond perceiving nearby carbon dioxide sources (see below).
      • Aerosmith is equipped with machine guns, which, while small, can do as much damage as a real machine gun. They are imprecise, but have infinite ammo. Aerosmith can also drop a bomb which explodes with the approximate power of a hand grenade (the plane is equipped with a single bomb, which is regenerated when Aerosmith is dismissed and re-summoned). Aerosmith's propeller blade can also be used as a weapon in a pinch.
      • Like most Stands, Aerosmith is directly synchronized with Narancia's own physical condition. If Aerosmith is damaged, Narancia will receive analogous damage to the corresponding part of his body. This synchronization extends to sundry detrimental effects — for example, submerging Aerosmith in water will cause Narancia to start drowning, and restraining Aerosmith will render Narancia unable to move. If Narancia is knocked unconscious or killed, Aerosmith vanishes.
    • Carbon Dioxide Detector: Aerosmith is capable of detecting nearby sources of carbon dioxide. Narancia sees these detections on a hovering radar screen that he can summon at will (it is also considered part of his Stand). In particular, he can exploit this ability to detect the presence of breathing life forms, even down to tiny animals. He doesn't automatically know who a given radar blip corresponds to — therefore, if he's tracking someone, they can hide in a crowd — but he can tell how much carbon dioxide the creature is exhaling, and whether they are breathing lightly or heavily.
  • Items:
    • A pair of switchblades.
  • Misc:
    • Wiki pages: Narancia, Aerosmith
    • Nerfs: In the Jojo universe, Stands are invisible to people who aren't Stand users, and they usually cannot be harmed except by another Stand. These restrictions have been nerfed, for obvious reasons.

Name: Buzz Lightyear

Source: Buzz Lightyear of Star Command

Age/Gender/Species: Somewhere in his 30s/Male/Human

Appearance: To Infinity and Beyond Personality: Buzz is often considered a confident leader of his team, calculating, firm but fair in regards to his teammates in particular and just anybody for that matter. While these traits are a great asset on the field of battle, these traits are not so helpful when he’s dealing with things that aren’t Star Command related activity. Though he’s a stickler for the rules, he’s not afraid to bend them a little when it’s necessary for those around him and as well as himself. He gets very tongue tied when he’s around an attractive girl, is very kind and caring to children but while he may seem like a guy that’s way too serious for his own good, he’s able to pull himself out of any situation that comes his way.

Backstory: Not much is known about Buzz’s past other than he always wanted to be a space ranger when he was a kid. Regardless, Buzz excelled in becoming a space ranger, not only that, he became a hero that’s known throughout the entire galaxy. He swore off having a partner when his former colleague Warp Darkmatter betrayed him to the Evil Emperor Zurg, sworn enemy of the galactic alliance and his arch nemesis. But luckily he had help in the form his new assigned teammates of Boaster, Nora and XR who helped him bring down his plan and worked with each other ever since.

Skills/Abilities:

Flight - Thanks to his space ranger suit, he’s got wings that can make him fly in the air with the jets built into them.

Combat - Skilled in various forms of martial arts and combat as part of the Space Ranger training

Durability - Has a durability greater than any average human, able to survive being tossed into a building without dying.

Laser - Has an arm mounted laser built into his space ranger suit. That can shoot at enemies at a distance.

Items: Comlink - Buzz has an arm mounted comlink communicator that he uses to get in contact with his fellow teammates from distant locations. And to have little missions logs to himself that of course no reads.

Misc.: Information used for this was from the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command wiki. Written from scratch. And that’s about it.

  • Name: Stocking Anarchy
  • Source: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
  • Age/Gender/Species: 500+/Female/Angel
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Brash and rude, chafing at authority, Stocking is unbecoming of one of God's emissaries. She's not overtly cruel, though, and so long as you treat her respectfully she'll usually return the favor. If you manage to befriend her, you'd even find a surprising sweetness underneath her dark and broody exterior. Perhaps because she herself loves sweets - Stocking can very easily clean out an entire bakery if not stopped.
  • Backstory: On the border of Heaven and Earth lies Daten City, a city home to countless wandering spirits, turned into monsters by unfulfilled grudges. Stocking, and her sister Panty, were banished from Heaven for misconduct and ordered to hunt down ghosts as penance. Under the watchful gaze of the Reverend Garterbelt, Panty and Stocking carried out their divine mission to- I'm kidding, they mostly fucked around and abused their angelic powers for fun and profit. Occasionally Garterbelt would annoy them into actually doing their jobs, and Stocking was certainly more effective than Panty, which is probably why Stocking was the only one of them getting close to actually earning her way back in. She would have even done it, had she not been whisked away to another dimension.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Angelique: As an angel, Stocking possesses superhuman speed, strength, and durability, allowing her to punch through stone walls and tank being hit by a car. She's sufficiently fast enough to deflect bullets with her swords. Her body is naturally perfect, making her inhumanly beautiful and immune to disease.
    • Fly Away Now: By summoning her halo, Stocking can transform into her angel outfit, pictured above. Grants her the power of flight, and has the side bonus of instantly restoring her body to perfect cleanliness no matter how dirty she is.
  • Items:
    • Stripes: Her stockings are actually sacred weapons. Only Stocking has the power to transform them into their true forms, that being razor-sharp blades. As divine blades, they're nearly indestructible and are incredibly potent against unholy creatures. They can harm and kill ghosts as well. She can combine her two swords together to form a larger blade, or a double-bladed swordstaff. She can also unleash beams of holy light with her sword swings.
    • Honekoneko: Stocking's favorite plushie. Contains a small, concealed flamethrower in its mouth. Strangely, it seems to automatically change expression to match Stocking's mood.
  • Misc:
    • Stocking is inexplicably lucky when it comes to simple games of chance, like slot machines or roulette. This is apparently some kind of divine blessing. Challenge her to Poker at your own risk.
    • She's rather petite, standing only 5 feet (152cm) tall.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Well, don't know whether or not I'll be able to keep up with a new game, but I can't resist the opportunity to reunite with some very old RP friends. So, with that said, all rise for the English National Anthem!

  • Name: Wallace, or 'Mr Wallace' if you're feeling formal.
  • Source: Wallace & Gromit
  • Age/Gender/Species: Human Man, somewhere between his Fourties and Fifties
  • Appearance: Off to get some more cheese.
  • Personality: Cheerful and amiable, but all too absent-minded. Wallace is a humble man content to live out an ordinary life, though he doesn't mind the odd adventure from time to time. His life, of course, is rarely as ordinary as all that, thanks to the many gadgets and gizmos he fills his world with. Wallace never met a problem he didn't try to solve with some kind of wacky machine, either purchased through mail-order, or put together in his own basement with nothing but childish drawings for blueprints. His inveterate love of inventing is surpassed only by his love of food, in particular his penchant for cheese and crackers.
  • Backstory: Somewhere over the Yorkshire border, possibly in Wigan, there's a little house called 62 West Wallaby Street where there's never a dull moment. Every time one might come to call, Wallace was trying out his latest invention, with things inevitably going awry somehow. With so much creativity pouring out of every window, it's little wonder Wallace was always getting himself into scrapes and misadventures. He's been to the moon for a Bank Holiday outing, helped nab a wanted avian jewel thief, foiled a cyberdog sheep rustler, narrowly dodged a pastry-hating serial killer, and let's not forget that hairy business with the wererabbit! Then one day, he and Gromit were setting off on a trip up to Blackpool, when all of a sudden they found themselves getting turned around. REALLY turned around. Now they're lost in a strange new world, beyond anything they've ever dreamed of. One thing's for certain: this'll be a bank holiday to remember!
  • Skills/Abilities: A perfectly ordinary fellow, save for one amazing knack for inventions. Wallace's love of tinkering has led him to create countless contraptions over the years, all designed around the guiding principle of using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Their functions range from the mundane, like automated cooking and vacuum cleaning, to the almost mystical, like literally sucking the thoughts out of a head, to the staggeringly impressive, like a rocket ship to the moon and back. As impressive as his inventions are, however, they almost invariably have a tendency to backfire and leave him with some kind of physical injury.
  • Items: Most of Wallace's machines are far too big and unwieldy to be taken on the go- in fact, many are set up in the very walls of his and Gromit's living quarters. Still, there are a few essentials that Wallace never leaves home without, along with the ideal modes of transport for the man and dog on the road.
    • Tools of the Trade: With Wallace's engineering expertise, he'd be a fool (well, a bigger fool), not to bring some essential tools with him when he's on the go. If there's ever an electrical system to circumvent or a contraption that might be crafted, Wallace should usually have the right tools on hand to get it done. While he can't very well take his entire toolbox with him all the time, he usually has a nice set of Bolt Cutters to get past barred-off gates, and he never leaves home without his trusty No. 2 Flathead Screwdriver.
    • Blue Van: By a bit of good fortune, Wallace was driving his faithful Austin A35 when he and Gromit were transported. It may have accrued a few dents and rust patches over the course of its long life, but it hasn't let Wallace down yet! The model has had a few modifications over time, including a high roof for space in the back, a sunroof at the front for the passenger and driver with tall hats, an airbag in the steering wheel, and an arm in the front grill to hand-crank the vehicle for an automatic start!
    • Motorbike: What an astounding coincidence! It looks like Wallace packed his motorbike and sidecar in the van before he set out! Fitted with a lamp for night travel, this little red number is able to take the weight of a man, a lamb, a ladder and eighteen sheep...for example.
  • Possible Inventions: Aside from his tools, vehicles, and the supplies for a trip to the beach, Wallace didn't think to bring any of his inventions with him. However, he might be able to replicate some gadgets and gizmos from memory.
    • Handheld Devices: Over the years, Wallace has come up with many machines he's been able to take out on the go. These have included the Bully-Proof Vest, a solid metal top that can fire a boxing glove on a spring from the front, a Porridge Gun that can fire perfectly portioned rounds of piping hot porridge at moving targets, or a Bun-Gun, a handheld vacuum built for sucking up and holding the plumpest of rats and rabbits for disposal into the nearest warren. That last device was later modified to contain a mini-umbrella for parachute landings, a pipe to suck up nearby vegetables to rapidly fire at foes, and even a function to grab loose rope or bunting and swing like Tarzan.
    • Robots: Wallace is able to modify existing items into remote-controlled mechanisms, like Shopper 13, a large bag with arms and wheels that can ride to the local co-op and shop so you don't have to. He could even make a pre-existing object into an independently-moving automaton, like the 525 Crackervac, a wheeled vacuum cleaner that specifically targets crackers dropped on the floor. Sometimes he's been known to make self-contained robots of great complexity, like the Autochef, capable of pre-programmed dialogue and serving any cooked breakfast you could name. Naturally, it's only ever a matter of time before any of these go pear-shaped.
    • Larger Machines: Do you want to build a snowman? How about a Snowmanotron which is a car-sized plough that scoops up and deposits a sub-par model of frost? Needing a festive greeting? Try the Christmas Cardomatic, a greetings card assembly line that fits snugly in your living room. Need rabbits off your lawn? The Bun-Vac 6000 can be fitted into a van and suck the varmints right out of their warrens at a rate of 125 RPM (Rabbits Per Minute). Want a thorough clean and the closest shave you've ever had? The patent-pending Knit-O-Matic can process a critter and weave a jumper of any size from the fluff sheared off.
    • Grand Apparatuses: If Wallace has his drothers around a given household, he's liable to refit multiple rooms to serve unnecessarily dramatic needs. His most iconic, of course, is a system that lifts a bed up to deposit the sleeper through a shute into the kitchen, where multiple mechanical arms may dress him before projectile weapons serve up breakfast. He's also often filled the walls with machinery to scoop away a willing occupant and give them one hell of an epic dress-up montage before they go to work. Other goldbergian systems may serve the function of laying a table for dinner, moving the TV directly to your armchair and back again, or repeatedly launching a dog in a sheep costume up and down in front of your bed, so you can count sheep before sleep.

  • Name: Gromit
  • Source: Wallace & Gromit
  • Age/Gender/Species: Adult Male Dog
  • Appearance: Off to get Wallace's hand out the mouse trap.
  • Personality: Gromit's smarter than the average dog, but every bit as steadfast and loyal. This of course means he lives in eternal exasperation, as not a day goes by when he doesn't have to put up with his master's nonsense or try to stop him from getting himself killed. Still, the long-suffering pooch cares deeply for Wallace, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. He's not much of a talker, even by the standards of dogs, and has never been known to do so much as bark. But to the observant, a waggle of his eyebrow tells you all you need to know about what he's thinking.
  • Backstory: Gromit has been by Wallace's side for time out of mind. He's at least been at the household since he was a one-year-old puppy (and since Wallace had a full head of hair), and even after graduating from Dogwarts University, with a Double-First in Engineering for Dogs, he's been a permanent fixture in Wallace's life. After all, if he were gone, who would clean up after Wallace's constant messes? To that end, Gromit has helped Wallace put together and operate his biggest successes, saved him from dastardly villains of every kind, and helped him immensely during that business with the wererabbit that Gromit would just as soon forget. That said, not even Gromit could have predicted that missing that left turn at Bamber Bridge would catapult them into the confusing intergalactic wonderland they find themselves in. As of now, he'd quite like to find his way home but realises there's not much anyone can do. So long as Wallace is happy to Keep Calm and Carry On, Gromit is content to do the same. Perhaps he can sniff out more interesting details about this strange new world.
  • Skills/Abilities: Gromit's brain has more in common with a human than a common house pet, though he might still make a cognitive misstep for the sake of comedy (for example, confusing penguin with a glove on its head for a chicken). He's fully able to walk on his hind legs and deftly handle objects with his front paws. He's also no slouch at engineering, though only really in an assistive role to the real inventor.
  • Items:
    • Sidecar: At first glance, the red sidecar to Wallace's motorbike seems perfectly ordinary. A couple of hooks on the side to carry a ladder, but nothing too spectacular besides that. But by pushing all the buttons concealed inside, Gromit can convert it into a fully functioning propellor plane. The propellor is powerful enough to carve a hole through solid brickwork for the plane to travel through, but Gromit still needs to retract the wings and duck his head, lest both be torn off. One button also deploys a turret version of the Porridge Gun at the front, for pelting targets while in the air.

#42: Dec 31st 2022 at 1:48:46 PM

  • Name: Kirby
  • Source: Kirby
  • Age/Gender/Species: Unknown/Male/Unknown
  • Appearance: Here
  • Personality: He's a cheerful, optimistic, selfless, and kindhearted person. He's willing to help out others in need. He's also has a huge appetite. That said, he's pretty naive, and has been manipulated by other people twice.
  • Backstory: Not much is known about his origins; all that we know is that he appeared "on a spring breeze" in Dream Land one day. From then on, he dedicates himself to protect Dream Land from evil, and even making various new friends, including former enemies. There is a possibility that he might have relations to Void Termina, a mysterious and ancient being.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Inhale: Kirby has the ability to inhale objects and creatures around his size. For larger entities, inhaling that entity will cause that entity to come back out shortly after being swallowed.
    • Copy Abilities: When inhaling certain objects or creatures, Kirby will be able to copy its ability. For example, inhaling fiery objects will grant him a the Fire ability, inhaling icy ones will give him Ice, inhaling swords or blades will give him Sword, etc.
    • Mouthful Mode: When inhaling a sufficiently large object, such as a car, he will partially swallow it and stretch himself around it. He will then gain the abilities of that object.
    • Puff Up: Kirby can inhale air, puff up, and float like a balloon. He can use this to fly short distances.
  • Items:
    • Warp Star: A star-shaped object Kirby can use to fly around at high speed.
  • Misc: While Kirby has never been seen speaking in canon, he can only speak in "Poyo"s in the anime, and he speaks normally in most other adaptations. In here, for the sake of ease, Kirby can speak normally, albeit with "Poyo" peppered in his speech.

  • Name: Teemo

  • Source: League of Legends

  • Age/Gender/Species: Probably thousands of years old/ Male/ Yordle

  • Appearance: the devil

  • Personality: Teemo is a chipper and warm yordle, full of enthusiasm and a cheerful spirit he scouts the world. He takes pride in following the scout's code, sometimes with such eagerness that he is unaware of the broader consequences of his actions. However, everybody in bandle city knows something is off with him, for he always prefers doing solo missions. Those few who come with him notice that in the field of duty he is a brutally efficient killer with the weight of the victims being nonexistent on his shoulders once the mission is done he is back as the friendly yordle he is.

  • Backstory:

    • Teemo is a legend among his yordle brothers and sisters in Bandle City. As far as yordles are concerned, there is something just slightly off about him. While Teemo enjoys the companionship of other yordles, he also insists on frequent solo missions in the ongoing defense of Bandle City. Despite his genuinely warm personality, something switches off inside Teemo's mind during combat so that the lives he must end while on patrol do not burden him. Even as a young recruit, the drill instructors and other trainees found it a little disconcerting that, while Teemo was normally charming and kind, he turned deadly serious and highly efficient the minute combat exercises began. Teemo's superiors quickly steered him toward the Scouts of the Mothership, which is one of Bandle City's most distinguished Special Forces unit alongside the Megling Commandos.

    • While most yordles do not handle solo scouting missions with a great deal of finesse, Teemo is remarkably efficient at them. His record of success in defending Bandle City from infiltrators easily makes him one of the most dangerous yordles alive, though you'd never know it by having a cup of honey mead with him at his favorite inn.

  • Skills/Abilities:

    • Yordle physiology.: Yordles are magical fae creatures and thus cant die by the passage of time and are naturaly adept at magic, Teemo does know a few spells.

      • Yordle charm.: Teemo can disguise his real appearance as a short human.

      • Flash.: A small, instant teleport perfect for escaping from sticky situations or relocate.

      • Teleport.: A long channeled teleport it can go over miles but Teemo must have a clear picture of the place he is teleporting.

      • Ignite: Make anybody burst into flames even those normally immune to fire, it's a strictly offensive spell it also reduces the efficacy of healing. After a few seconds the fire is put out.

      • Barrier.: A magic shield that protects Teemo from damage it can be broken by stronger attacks.

      • Heal.: Great for small injuries and broken bones, won't be raising anybody from the death though. It is also the only spells he can cast on allies.

      • Exhaust.: Make someone slower and do less damage with physical attacks.

      • Cleanse: Cleanses any status effects Teemo may have.

      • Ghost: For a short period of time Teemo becomes fasters and like a ghost he can go trough people he cant go trough solid objects like walls.

      • Smite.: Casting this does masive damage to monsters and animals, unless the opponent has a certain level of awareness and sapience in that case the spell barely does damage.

    • Scouts training: Teemo specialises in scouting the most uncharted parts of his world as such he is quite knowledgeable on survival and foraging, Stealth and assasination aren't out of his resume

    • Abilities.: These are unique of Teemo and uses them to aid on his escapades.

      • Move quickly!.: Teemo is naturally quicker and nimbler than most yordles and can push this speed further for a few seconds.

      • Guerrila warfare.: By standing still Teemo can become completly invisible, moving breaks this invisibility.

  • Items: His weapon of prefference is his trusty blowgun and his darts are always poisoned he also carries a special type of dart that has a blinding agent so potent it can even blind people that are already blind the effect lasts a few seconds. His most devastatong weapon are his noxius traps they are green mushrooms that Teemo uses as landmines or a handy timed grenade, upon exploding apart of causing the same damage of a grenade they also poison whoever was struck by the explosion or who breathes in the fumes.

He also wears a backpack where he carries his maps, books and supplies for a good scouting.

  • Misc: He has a pet, its a worm that sucks souls.

~The Starscream 759: I'm gonna give you a pass on the broken image for now since I'm pretty sure I know what Buzz goddamn Lightyear looks like, but do fix it eventually. going to ignore the complete lack of formatting despite being able to simply copy-paste it A thing I've noticed that is absent from your sheet but came up multiple times on Discord is his comically exaggerated paranoia where he suspects any bad thing that happens of tying back to Zurg in some fashion, but considering that joke probably wouldn't last long I don't blame you for leaving it out lol.

~kagescorpionakki: damn, someone as short as me [tup]

~minseok42: Oktavia addition acknowledged c: The bit about her entrance is still off; I think the easiest fix would be to say she was about to actually enter a witch barrier before she got pulled. It's a minor thing though, so I'll give the ok on the sheet, just remember it for when the rp actually starts.

~Lizard Of Aus: Considering characters start in a building, let's say for the sake of convenience that Wallace and Gromit end up outside the van in said building while the van itself is right outside the door, like with Enty's motorcycle. Also, I assume it's fair to say the time it takes for Wallace to make a device scales with its complexity?

~Oggy 123: It kinda looks like your description for Copy Abilities got cut off, oops. As for the rest, I don't want inhaling to be an instant-death move, so for anything that's not especially weak, let's have it be Smash rules where the inhaled thing is spat back out within a few seconds.

~jherhmeigringer: Lotta run-on sentences there, but I followed it well enough. About the worm: how fast is sucking a soul, and what happens when the soul is sucked? Also, by "scouting supplies", should I assume normal outdoor stuff like food and water and such?

Buzz, Stocking, Sayaka, and Wallace & Gromit are accepted.

i guess you can watch me shitpost i guess

Absolutely, can't say fairer than that!

By the way, the Buzz Lightyear image on that other post seems to be suffering a common problem with links to wiki images. It seems broken when you follow the link, but then you refresh the page and it shows up just fine.

  • Name: Robo-Ky
  • Source: Guilty Gear
  • Age/Gender/Species: Unknown/Male/Robot
  • Appearance: What a robot!
  • Personality:

    • Robo-Ky is an interesting robot, to say the least, he: has actual feelings, which were bugs and defects in his coding from the beginning; it started small with his feeling of superiority to Ky Kiske from the matter of identity and pride.

    • This superiority soon grows to a self-centered, egotistical robot that sees itself as higher than humans, mocking and looking down at them Despite this, the act he has, is made out of boredom.

    • Soon over time, his personality defects start to become more pronounced with him becoming a loud-mouthed and petty robot not caring for much of anyone other than his liking for women, his insults to humans must mostly use against his opponents and his creator.

    • When his life turned to mercenary work, living in a town, he still had that same pettiness to him but grew, learning from the town folk gaining much insight and newfound ideals getting a sense of gratefulness to society, where he believes in the importance of dreams, having them to make something out of it.

  • Backstory: (To make a surprisingly long story short)

    • Robo-Ky was made by Crow, a scientist from the Post-War Administration Bureau, the robot was modeled after Ky Kiske the robot was carefully made and crafted for combat until it was done.

    • The robot was then sent out as a test to fight Kiske; the robot soon finds him and starts a fight with him; where he fails to beat him; Kiske then throws out his cape to divert the robot, letting Kiske heal himself; leaving the Robo copy by himself.

    • Robo-Ky then walks back to the labs of P.W.A.B. Where they soon begin to make more Robo-Kys where they are sent out in the shadows watching the characters, getting info out of them but soon they are found out and attacked having the Robo-Ky numbers shrink and starting to show more defects in their behavior resulting in more of their later missions being failures and so Crow makes a newer model of the Robo-Kys to replace the older models.

    • The last few of the Robo-Kys were failing mission after mission, and their newly made personality is out of control, but Crow decides that the first Robo-Ky is given the task to capture research subjects and retrieving data where he was sent out; in a series of skirmishes, before Crow tells him to return to the lab due to some noise in the data transfer and a fight with Baiken causes one of Robo-Ky's processors to overheat, but continues with the mission until he encounters Ky, needing to fight him to prove himself and his own identity despite Crow's objections.

    • He returns only to find that Crow has set him up to fight a copy of Justice to destroy him, He manages to defeat Justice only to be caught in the latter's self-destruct sequence and supposedly died, letting Crow get to work in a new model.

    • But surprise, Robo-Ry lived but was not in the mood for revenge, so he escaped with his life out of the labs of Crow and out to the outside world where he makes a living in mercenary work to rebuild himself but this was hard for him being an outcast and the town he lived in where children made fun of him.

    • Robo-Ky was hired by a man named Venom to aid him in his battle against Bedman, Ky accepted the deal and, after a talk about Ky's dream of making a tangerine farm, they soon found Bedman in town threatening to kill some of the kids that made fun of him, as the two battled Bedman with his plan (but was getting tricked by the real evil bad guys but that is just another whole can of worms) to create the Absolute World, a mass extinction event which would lead to the rebirth of a whole new humanity. Venom sees how big of a threat he is and plans to sacrifice himself to stop him but Robo-Ky interjects walking to Bedman and calmly talking down his beliefs as he was taking hit after hit from him until face to face, he triggers his self destruct sending Bedman to the air, letting Venom finish him before passing out.

    • But just like before Robo-Ky survived, now only a head, a propeller comes out from the top of his head and takes the unconscious Venom for medical attention, after that, Venom took over the mercenary business to rebuild his body and after Venom was tested by an Assassin's Guild to protect a town was given a deed to a bakery where with the money rebuilds Robo-Ky back his body.

  • Skills/Abilities:

    • Robotic Durable: Like any other robot, his body can take more than what a human could take with even his head able to live on.

    • Walking Pocket: Ky's body holds many things for him to use from items to weapons, rockets coming out of his kneecap, leg opening up to show off his drill, his elbow opening to blast out a shotgun shell and even a chair for him to sit on.

    • Electric Gauge: Robo-Ky has a separate power hold for combat, letting him able to do better versions of his attacks separated into three levels, level one is just bad, level two is good, and level three is the best one, and Robo-Ky can pick which level his attack will be which will take a certain percent of his power which the only way for him to recharge his Electric Gauge is to use a meter mat which he can throw out and stay on to get back his power.

    • Heat Gauge: Coming with another gauge, this one tells him how much heat he is building up from his attacks, the more the heat builds up from his attacks and taking attacks from others, the hotter his body gets letting him even set stuff on fire with his fist but if it goes up to 100°C overheats and explodes, which is something Ky would not like to happen so, he can go and open up his whole body letting out the heat and steam to cool down.

    • Metal Bag of Tricks: His body holds even more skills and tricks for him to use in combat, which many will question, Robo-Ky can extend his fist to punch at a longer range but puts them at risk to be cut off, or he could go even farther but firing his fist which if at higher power on his gauge can split into miniature rockets; his fist can be replaced with a mace head to slam into the enemy; he can shoot lasers out of his eyes: which while can't cut, can make a small explode when comes into contact with anything solid. The bottom half of his body can be turned into a rocket-powered jousting horse which is also tied to the power to see how far it can go before it goes back into its normal legs. He can even come out with an extra pair of arms in his back and a spring to temporarily separate his top from the bottom of his body.

  • Items:

    • Replica Thunderseal: While the Thunderseal is usually a very powerful sword made to amplify lightning magic, this replica of the sword is just a regular sword.

    • Hammer: A large two-handed hammer that he has in his body, it's heavy and powerful, breaking down walls and sending an airborne person to the ground from its weight.

    • Bazooka: A bazooka that fires out a rocket that looks like a totem pole, and with power, the totem rocket gets longer and travels longer.

  • Misc: Despite being a robot, he can eat food which is converted into his main energy to do things that are not combat.

Figured I should try this out. A bit nervous about doing a duo character, but I'd say these guys probably qualify as "adventuring together more often than not", considering that the climax of their movie is entirely built around their team up and they positively pulsate with gay subtext.

  • Name: Galo Thymos

  • Source: Promare

  • Age/Gender/Species: 20ish year old male human

  • Appearance: The only fire he'll tolerate is his own BURNING SOUL!

  • Personality: Galo possesses a determination unrivaled by anyone he knows (except maybe for Lio), and has a burning desire to protect people from danger, no matter who those people may be. He refuses to tolerate injustice, and if he sees something he thinks is wrong, he will drop everything and do everything within his power to try and correct it and save the day. Even when he sees criminals committing crimes, he tries to understand why they would do such a thing, not wanting to attack anyone without knowing their reasoning for doing what they do. He is obsessed with firemen from Japan's Edo period, and does everything he can to emulate them, basing his entire aesthetic around how they dressed, believing that their courage and determination to protect people from fire are virtues that everyone should aspire to possess. He's been described as "the world's Number 1 Firefighting Idiot", and while it's true he has little time for things like math or science and is known to dive recklessly headfirst into danger even when it would be incredibly stupid to do so, he possesses a surprising amount of emotional intelligence. He cares quite strongly about Lio, and would travel to the ends of the earth if it meant helping him.

  • Backstory: When he was just a young child, Galo's home was caught in a massive inferno, but he was saved from the flames just in time by a college student named Kray Foresight, who later went on to become governor of Galo's home city of Promepolis, who Galo idolized from that moment on. Galo went on to become a firefighter, spending most of his time fighting a terrorist group known as Mad Burnish, composed of a group of Burnish (individuals who possess the power to summon, control and shape magical flame, and are often discriminated against by the general public) who burn down buildings and cause chaos, led by the young Lio Fotia. However, one day, Galo learned that Mad Burnish were actually freedom fighters who were trying to fight back against horrific experiments that Kray Foresight was performing on innocent Burnish in secret. Horrified that his idol would do such a thing, Galo teamed up with Lio, and armed with a mech known as the Deus X Machina provided by the AI replica of dead scientist Deus Prometh (it's a long story that I don't have the time or energy to fully summarize here), they set out to stop Kray Foresight. However, just as they were about to confront Kray, they somehow inexplicably lost consciousness, and when they woke back up again, not only was the Deus X Machina mech gone, but they were in a completely new place...

  • Skills/Abilities: Galo is just a normal human, so he doesn't have powers like Lio does, but he can certainly hold his own in a fight, and he's a skilled firefighter who can withstand extreme heat much easier than a normal person.

  • Items:
    • Staff: Galo wields a powerful staff which can also by wielded by him when he's in his mech, and it can be converted into numerous powerful weapons designed for fighting off fires, primarily utilizing ice and water. His Matoi mech is kept folded up and attached to his staff when he doesn't need to use it.
    • Matoi Mech: When Galo needs to fight, he usually does so by hopping into his Matoi Mech, a powerful human-sized mech designed for firefighting. The mech is normally kept in a much smaller, folded up form attached to Galo's staff, but can be easily deployed whenever he needs it. It is capable of using a large variety of ice and water-based attacks, but can also project holograms for whenever Galo wants to give a power-point presentation (no, that's not a joke, he really does that).

  • Name: Lio Fotia

  • Source: Promare

  • Age/Gender/Species: 20ish year old male Burnish

  • Appearance: The leader of Mad Burnish, he always leaves an exit route for the innocent.

  • Personality: Much like Galo, Lio cares deeply about justice and would never harm an innocent, but he generally acts a lot colder and more subdued than Galo, although he can absolutely be loud and hammy when he wants to be, especially when pissed off. He possesses an extremely strong sense of loyalty, and refuses to abandon a friend and/or fellow member of Mad Burnish. He will stop at nothing to make sure that karmic justice is served and villains are punished, no matter what it takes. He doesn't care what the public thinks of him, as long as people like Kray Foresight get their just deserts. However, there are some lows he won't stoop to even if it would make it easy to get revenge on Kray, such as the aforementioned harming of innocents. His determination is just as strong as Galo's, he's just a lot less willing to go charging headfirst into danger without the faintest hint of a plan as Galo often does. He cares a lot about Galo, as Galo is one of the few people outside of Mad Burnish who's ever shown him kindness, and would do anything to protect him.

  • Backstory: Very little is known about Lio's past before he joined Mad Burnish, but he was most likely mistreated by society. When he joined Mad Burnish, he was largely responsible for the formation of their current code of honor, that states that while they can do things like burn down buildings, they must always leave a way for innocents to escape and they must never, ever kill. He spent a considerable amount of time fighting Galo, before Galo finally encountered him in a weak position and talked to him, trying to understand why Mad Burnish commits crimes, only for Galo to discover that Kray Foresight had committed horrible atrocities against the Burnish. He later teamed up with Galo in an attempt to take down Kray Foresight in the Deus X Machina mech they had acquired from a secret underwater laboratory supervised by the AI consciousness of esteemed scientist Deus Prometh (again, long story), but then fell unconscious alongside Galo all of a sudden with no warning. When they both woke up together, the Deus X Machina was gone, and they were both in an unfamiliar location that definitely wasn't Promepolis...

  • Skills/Abilities: Lio is easily one of if not the strongest Burnish of all time, possessing unrivaled control over his own flames. His pyrokinesis is second to none, and while it's been overpowered by sufficiently powerful ice and water abilities in the past, with enough anger and determination he's been able to temporarily boost his powers to counteract those weaknesses (although that was notably something of a Godzilla Threshold which will likely only come up again in truly dire circumstances). Notably, he can shape his flames to form fearsome mech armor, which he has used frequently as the leader of Mad Burnish. He also heals from wounds much faster than a normal person due to being a Burnish, and is immune to disease.

  • Items: Lio is capable of utilizing his flames to form any number of items, but his most commonly used item is his previously mentioned Mad Burnish mech armor, which can protect him from most damage, although powerful enough attacks can shatter it, and has considerable attack power.

Something's Fishy Here...
