Suggestion: Manga.Shaman King

Hey, new to Image Pickin', so tell me if I'm doing anything wrong. The new Shaman King anime just came out with a huge key art that blows the old one out of the water (and the old one came from the original adaptation), so I think the one on the current page should be replaced with this image.

The suggestion is so busy that I'm not sure how good it will look at wiki size...holding off on a vote for now.

I was also wondering if we could do something similar to Doraemon's page and have pictures of each adaptation's key visual/promotional image. Similar things could be done with Fruits Basket, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Hunter × Hunter, etc.

If Shaman King's first adaptation is different enough, we can split it off similar to FMA and Anime.Hellsing. The only reason not to split it of is if they just tacked on a quick Gecko Ending (e.g. Fruits Basket, from the looks of the trope page [I don't know much about it]), stopped at a place where the primary myth arc concluded, leaving a few plot threads hanging (e.g. H x H 2011), or just left the series hanging (e.g. H x H 1999, Dai)

I'd prefer if the page image was changed to either manga art or art for the new anime, since the new anime is going to be a much more faithful adaptation of the source material. Maybe the old anime could be split off into its own page, since it changed so much of the manga near the end? That's what the Fullmetal Alchemist page does.

Maybe this for a manga image? Though that's also pretty busy.

That image should work better for the character page tbh.

Of the 9 characters in that image, only the three on the right are main characters. The three on the left are important secondary characters, and the three in the middle are minor villains. The first image I posted would be better for that, since it focuses exclusively on the most important characters.

Keep the current image for now, but the OP can go on Characters.Shaman King (a version without the logo would be even better).

For future reference, to upload an image, you edit a page and then click the "Upload Image" button on the blue bar. I suggest we use the OP on the characters page and either the current or this suggestion by ccorb for Shaman King.

Well, I don't think the main page should have an image from the first anime, which diverged pretty heavily from the manga. Maybe use that image if the first anime is going to get split off into its own page, but the main page image should either be from the manga or the new anime, since the new anime is going to be a much more faithful adaptation.

Maybe have a cropped version of this cover◊ for the main page image? It's the final manga cover, but is pretty light on spoilers and shows the 5 main characters. At least until the new anime gets a simpler key art to use.

I kinda like 4.2 over current. But current itself is fine.

I put a proposal for someone to split off the '01 anime on List of Shows That Need Summary. Maybe 4.2 could be the page image for that.

I found a clean version of the art from that volume cover.

Crowner?

Yeah? Again, new to Image Pickin', so I'm not 100% sure on what a crowner exactly entails. It doesn't look like anyone objected to the idea of using the first image I posted for the Characters page, but the image for the main page is still up in the air.

Alright, I've gone through this one again and I'm not seeing enough consensus on anything. Locking up.
