I got Lisa, Hu Tao, Venti, Fischl and Childe.

From the art of it, it seems like Jean's summer skin is barefoot, which makes me wonder how exactly that will work considering the whole high heels stuff.

It might just be for the art and the skin itself has summer sandals like Barbara's summer skin seems to have.

As a sidenote: I like that the summer skins aren't too lewd, I actually appreciate Genshin for its more tasteful and tone down fanservice compared to other Gacha games.

In that same art Jean is holding a pair of heels in her hand. Also someone ripped the 3d model for summer Barbara, and Barbara's sandals are actually heels similar to her standard costume's high-heeled shoes. They're going to put them all in heels.

x4 Speaking of datamining, someone also found the trial events for 1.5, and at least for the moment the planned 4-stars for the Eula banner are Xingqiu, Beidou and Xinyan.

Not that it's stopping a certain section of the fanbase from complaining. Gamefaqs currently has a thread complaining that "swimsuits without cleavage are useless." Probably the same people that complained about Rosaria's breast reduction.

Wish they'd just focus on the real issues. Like why was Snake's butt nerfed in Smash Ultimate!? this is a joke, don't take it seriously

I think those kinds of people forget that Genshin is supposed to be a mainstream-appeal game, and that trying to appeal to coomers too much is going to alienate a potentially non-insignificant amount of the audience, including the rather massive Estrogen Brigade.

Then give Diluc with no shirt too.

The cynic in me says they'll do the Fire Emblem Heroes format of 3 women and 1 man in a full body wetsuit and diving helmet lol.

Jeez, you guys weren't kidding about event domain #3 being significantly easier than #2. I even forgot to use the new burst buffing fruits, and it was still a cakewalk (just a cakewalk that took longer than it could have).

Yeah, the 2nd Event Domain was just... yeesh. Took a while, eventually went in with a different team, and after a lot of tries, I did it. Time limit was strict, really tough enemies wave after wave, that fricken lightning strikes if away from the safe zone, I still feel underpowered, revive cooldown is still rather long, it was certainly hard.

I want to update several parts of the YMMV examples after taking a long break from editing the Genshin trope pages, but I probably have to ask some clarifications or questions first:

• The Resin system was listed as a Scrappy Mechanic on the YMMV page because it was one of the hottest and most-debated topics when the game first came out... But after some Resin-related updates that are considered as Author's Saving Throw, Resin-related complaints became lesser. If I'm going to update the example and explain that it's no longer that scrappy, I think the paragraph would be too large, so how can we trim it?
• Are there any other Friendly Fandoms that can be listed? On YouTube, I've seen some Genshin players also admitting themselves to be Destiny or Destiny 2 players, for example.
• Can we add Fandom VIP (trope for players and content creators who are very popular within the fandom) examples now, or do we have to wait further as the game ages? I know that Mtashed and Tectone are two of the Genshin content creators who have a large following.
• "Staff of Homeless" and "Wallet's Gravestone" are Fan Nicknames for the Homa and WGS, right? I would've wanted to add those to the list, but I'm not sure who popularized them, is it Tectone? I never actually saw how the nicknames came to be in the first place, I just saw them used a lot in Reddit and YouTube for example.
• The Complacent Gaming Syndrome is used for the acts of players spamming the same weapon, attack, or strategy. Xiao players' tendency of spamming his Plunge Attack definitely counts, right?
• I'm not sure if this goes to the Fan Nickname or Memes subpages (or both), but every time an Ayaka-related content is posted online, DMC fans post, or blend her with Vergil-related memes, such as [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], amongst many others. I'm not sure where to add this context (the Fan Nickname page did list "Waifu Vergil" though). Speaking of which, does Memetic Mutation consider cases wherein Fandom A borrows memes from Fandom B?

I'm not sure that actually counts as Complacent Gaming Syndrome, since that's about becoming so focused on one thing that all other options, including potentially better ones, get ignored. But in Xiao's case, he's deliberately designed around his plunge attack being his defining thing, and doesn't really have other options (outside of whaling to C6).

But in the grander scheme of things, the importance placed on characters that can Melt/Vape - particularly Ganyu and Hu Tao - or powerful support characters like Bennett would seemingly better qualify, since they are the top tier by which all other characters are currently measured by, and their dominance in Abyss usage data seems to support that's what players are most comfortable using.

And even then it's hard to say that's necessarily players being complacent, since it's not like every gameplay style is readily available due to the game's gacha system.

spoilers for the Azhdaha quest: If you start the quest, do a stage or too, and pop over to the Dragon-Queller, Jiu isn't there. Nice touch.

Also, wow, was that fight difficult. Maybe I shouldn't have finished Adventure Rank Ascension 4 right before this.

Once again, the forum thread is not the place for discussing page edits.

Weird rule to have given that the actual discussion page for wiki pages is hidden in such a non-obvious place that most people don't know it exists. Last post in there was an unanswered question from 3 months ago.

That's a problem with people not reading the admin stuff properly. There isa wiki-specific section of the forum, which mostly indicates that the media section isn't there to be the discussion page.

And if enough people come in asking about trope entries, maybe the discussion page will start being actively used and followed.

Like what other people said here, this thread is not tied to the editing side of the main Genshin pages, so please refrain from posting edit requests or similar editing stuff on the thread. My first post here was calling people out on misusing Walkthrough Mode on the YMMV page, completely unaware that most people here do not even edit the pages. A mod had to step in and give me a warning on that, so yeah... please don't.

The only exception to this is if you want to ask a question regarding the fandom's opinions. For example, when I heard that Ningguang may be potentially evil, I had to verify it here so there was no misinformation being spread. It later turned out to be a one-troper Single-Issue Wonk.

Alright, I played the last domain in the Energy Amplifier event. This one has an Abyss Herald to fight (along with a few Hilichurls). It's more challenging than the stupidly-easy 3rd domain, but not by much TBH. Although I did keep the original setup I used in the 3rd domain (the shards that increase Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge), because it was that effective.

And... That's pretty much it. The event has no conclusion whatsoever. You don't even go back to the Sumeru scholar to give back the Irminsul Fruit shards. You're just left in limbo. I gotta say that, while I did like the exploration part of the event, overall, it's just underwhelming and the attack score part really doesn't peek my interest. If this was supposed to be Version 1.5's main event akin to Lantern Rite and Windblume, they really didn't advertise it as such.

Feels like the teapot realm housing was their flagship event, but it lacks the ooph that Windblume or Lantern Rite had. It could be fun and has nice rewards, but they're locked behind the higher ranks. Right now I feel less like a designer and more like a furniture store making privacy screens so that one day he can retire to do the thing he likes to do (and unlock all the customization).

As for the final event domain, I actually failed it the first time. Those enemy respawns kept coming too fast for me to keep up, they don't stop until the Abyss herald puts up his water shield, but every time they spawn the herald recovers health. Was trapped in a loop unable to actually hurt the herald.

...but then I swapped to a Venti + Xiao team and cleaned house. Either character alone with enough burst and recharge bonuses probably could have handled it. I do wonder what FTP teams are doing though, especially if they don't have Sucrose.

I actually had zero problems with the final fight and even managed to kill him while his shield was up. And this is still without a good Cryo user.

Alright, now take this with a grain of salt. According to recent leaks, Ayaka may come out on either Version 1.6 or Version 1.7 at earliest. There's also a new Inazuma character revealed named Yoimiya.

She's not in 1.6. There's a baidu rumor saying July 21st will be called patch 2.0 instead of 1.7, and it'll have Ayaka and a pyro bow 5* shrine maiden character named Yoimiya. It honestly just sounds like random guessing based on a new barely implemented character stub in the game files though.

The sooner we can all accept that Ayaka was a collective hallucination, the sooner we can get on with out lives.

On a less sarcastic note, bah god have I started resenting "Green Fountain" and "The Color of the Wind" because of the game's insistence on them for 80% of all outdoor sets in the pot. Their recolors could have so easily served the same purpose and not been as insanely restrictive, devs!

Anyone else struggling with the Azhdaza fight? That bit when he does DoT for the elemental infusion keeps getting me.
