So over 10 years ago or so, we used to have a newsletter called Trope Report, which covers all of the changes that happened on the wiki weekly. I have been nostalgic for it recently so I thought of it and it seemed to be a fun way to inform tropers about the changes going on around the wiki.
The sandbox for the project can be found at Sandbox.Trope Report Dummy Edition and the sandbox for ideas/plans can be found on Sandbox.Trope Report Ideas. After a new issue is published, revert the Dummy Edition back to a template using the text on Sandbox.Trope Report Template.

For Non-English Works, it's anything that comes from a Non-English speaking country.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Part of me wants to get pedantic about how *technically* India and the Philippines have English as a widely-spoken official language, but in the spirit of what you mean, I'll add it without complaint.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailMaybe non-Anglophone works would be better

Macron's notesMeh, Non-English works just fine. I'm just being contrary. Like if I were to feature Edge of the Knife, it's a non-English film (Haida) from an Anglophone country (Canada). (It doesn't have a page, however, the only place I'd be able to plug it currently would be "Works Needing a Page." But hypothetically.) Same goes for Irish-language works.

Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailOh, yeah, we stick to Non-English then. Not everything is going to fit perfectly when it comes to certain categories anyways
Macron's notesNon-English is a bit misleading. We've had works that were officially translated like Cookie Clicker, silent works like Garden Party, and English works from non-Anglophone countries like All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. (though, for that last one, things like the manual would still be in Japanese).

I'd like to apologize for all this. Finally remembered to add the Paleo thread to Project Spotlight.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessExam today, I'll sort my shit after I'm done.
I'd like to apologize for all this.I gotta say. Whoever the wrestling fandom is, they're thorough. Tried to find October-born wrestlers with pages missing a photo/etc, but a couple searches didn't turn up anything glaringly obvious. Maybe someone could be featured as a creator next month? I'd love input from the wrestling fans on who to highlight, tbh.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker Mailmy girlfriend is super into wrestling and she's a big fan of Mick Foley. just tossing an idea out there.
ill ask her!

I'm sure there's gotta be some horror themed wrestler we can plug for Halloween.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Purenessmy girlfriend suggested Bray Wyatt, who as part of his Subverted Kids' Show gimmick dressed in a bunch of different costumes and had an evil Split Personality called "The Fiend". seems perfect to me.
Added Max Charles and Inherit the Earth.
Image of the Month goes up tomorrow. We still need the last bit for Pages Needing Help, and we're practically done.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Boy, this was a slow month for IP. I'll probably do Healing Boss or Til Murder Do Us Part because they at least allow me to write something interesting (the former on how images can go through many iterations and how even tropes on TLP can go through IP; the latter on how there are books for everything).
Some honorable mentions:
- Badass and Child Duo and Science Fantasy: Very cool art, but not much to say about them otherwise.
- Heroic Sacrifice: I already covered Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal very recently, and I don't feel like double-dipping just yet because I've already said my piece about it.
- Post-Soviet Reunion: All I could possibly write for this one would be on how troper-made images can be helpful. Which I already did, twice, and both of those were by the same troper as this one. So that would be beating a dead horse.

I'd like to apologize for all this.I'm planning to launch this draft about winemaking through stomping grapes using bare feet for September's issue, which is timely for autumn. Problem is, it has stalled a lot due to the title issue, and I need feedback for this to be sure.
Kindly ping me for feedback. Please and thank you.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Image of the Month is up. How did I do?
We're almost done, we just need the description, the Trope Needing Help, and optionally one other creator.
Also, we'll probably have to remove the Machinima thread, since it's already crownered.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Er... My personal discomfort with intentionally launching your own draft to write about it on the newsletter aside... the title is fine??
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Purenessi know ive been putting it off but im gonna get Terry Pratchett shipshape today, and the writeup will be done before the newsletter goes live.
Fair point on the launching to be included for the newsletter. But the title's good enough for me too.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Honestly, my issue with that page is that it's doing fine; he is well-known, and the page has 1700+ wicks and no apparent problems, though I might need a second opinion on this.
You also mentioned Yoko Taro; he could work since he has a smaller wick count.

I'd like to apologize for all this.hmm, i didn't think there was an obscurity requirement for Creator Spotlight, and ive already cleaned Terry's page, but Taro's page will have to be cleaned at some point as well, so i can still do that instead.
I actually don't know if it's a requirement, but that's the feeling I get from the previous entries in that section. That's why I asked for a second opinion.
Edited by FernandoLemon on Aug 25th 2022 at 2:50:38 PM
I'd like to apologize for all this.Idt it's a requirement so much as smaller pages standing to gain more from a signal boost is all.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailTBH the fact that they've all sort of been obscure and underdeveloped pages has for the longest time made me wonder if the "needs help" folder was a bit redundant. But if it's not actually required...

Alright, then I saw Literature.Panchatantra pop up in recent edits earlier, and it looked intriguing. Indian fable collection dating back to 200 BC, but likely earlier. I know my other non-Eng entry for the month was also under Literature (a novel), but I figured ancient works haven't been convered as much. Original language Sanskrit.
