That writeup has a lot of grammar errors in it. I might implement some ideas from it into my version, though.

Feel free to do so. I'm not very good with writeups, since I hardly know Galactus and Unicron.

I guess that Galactus permanently killing Unicron would also be something to put under Catharsis Factor for any Transformers fan, considering the many horrible, horrible things Unicron has done across the Transformers multiverse.

Zux, I think your Colex writeup is the best one yet, probably the best final draft we'll ahve.

Yeah that Galactus vs Unicron match up was a bit of a stomp in Galactus' favor. Experience, Power, one of the biggest and most broken Win-Con out there and a sure fire way to end Unicron permanently with no way of having him return.

Might wanna add that bit from Ben 10 vs. Green Lantern, It was just another fight for Galactus

Speaking of Ben wo vs Green lantern could somebody make the directions I suggested? Just need to change “omniscient” to “omnipotent” https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15874066820A53936800&page=26#comment-642

Can somebody get on rewriting the Broken Base entry for Ben 10 vs Green Lantern? The current entry is too bashy and doesn’t explain WHY it’s divisive. I’m thinking something like this:

  • Ben Tennyson vs Hal Jordan is possibly the most divisive episode of entire the show, having a near 50/50 split in the like-to-dislike ratio. In essence, it comes down to whether or not one believes that Celestial Sapiens like Alien X are truly omnipotent, as there is conflicting evidence within the Ben 10 franchise on the species' power level. Death Battle runs with the interpretation that Alien X lacks true omnipotency and gives the win to Hal. Those who disagree with this interpretation have a vocal hatred for this episode, while those who agree with Death Battle's analysis passionately defend the fight's outcome.

You know what episode about Death Battle can be considered debatable with misinformation, bias and other things? Luigi VS Tails, from Season 2. Not that it's the only one that isn't accurate enough with the characters, and some others can be as debatable, but let me explain why. I just found out today when I noticed a few videos that debunk some aspects of that, as well as aspects of Mario that people greatly underestimate in comparison to Sonic, so I need to talk about it. I love both characters and I like both Mario and Sonic, but the description of Luigi and Tails' best feats and the battle shown in the episode are too skewed in Tails' favour and something just doesn't feel right. It also seems similiar to the Mario VS Sonic episode from 2011 (the one before the rematch a few years later, where Mario won) in that regard, and people, especially Sonic fans, often have the bad habit of underestimating Mario and judge him only by game mechanics, something that should also be applied to characters like Crash Bandicoot or Spyro if we have to judge him in the same way, since they too would die in one hit without Aku Aku or Sparx to protect him, or even Sonic himself, considering the Rings mechanic. In the animation, Luigi only managed to get a single meaningful combo before Tails healed himself and dominated him by constantly staying in the air, winning mainly because of this. This doesn't work, especially with the feats, and that's coming from someone who never really cared about Death Battle. I'll list a few reasons to explain what was done wrong and why Tails would lose against Luigi. As I said before, I love both Luigi and Tails, but let's just be honest here, if we look with as little bias as possible, then Luigi should have won.

1): First off, Luigi has more strength than Tails. He doesn't just have the strength to barely lift a huge radish. That was just a game mechanic from Super Mario Bros. 2, which turned out to be a dream anyway, and Luigi has shown to to share his feats in strength, speed and other things, with Mario, including surviving a supermassive black hole taht reset the whole universe in Super Mario Galaxy, lifting and kicking a fortress in Super Mario World and grabbing Bowser by the tail and throwing him, while the best Tails did in terms of strength was pushing a 10-ton weight from Tails' Skypatrol, but just pushing it, not lifting it, and even then, he had to use an external source to do this, and that's one of his gadgets, the Boomering. This is Tails' only feat for his physical strength outside his tail attacks, but he never lifted things such as this with his bare hands, unlike Luigi, who is physically strong enough to lift a fortress, lift Bowser by the tail and throw him away, and his feats of strength are about the same as Mario. Tails, on the other hand, doesn't have the lifting strength or striking strength as Knuckles or the Mario Bros. Not that he's weak, since he fought against Eggman multiple times before and is a competent fighter by his own merits, but not as much as Sonic, and while he's generally shown with excellent skill, spin-offs also show him with low power.

2): Tails can't fly forever. In games, he can only fly for 5-8 seconds at a time after starting to fly, and after that, he gets tired and he will fall. This means that flying in general is something that tires Tails out and chips away at his stamina, and this also applies to Cream in the Sonic Advance Trilogy, and she gets tired even earlier than him when flying. While Tails can keep up with Sonic and his speed, Mario and Luigi both have reaction times quick enough to deal with their speed. Sure, this would mean that Tails has a lot of stamina, and he can fly to get a positional advantage, but since flying in the air for too long causes him to get tired, this also means that it would cause him to lose a lot of stamina, and not even Sonic has infinite stamina. This inconsistent stamina will be a problem against enemies who can exploit this and hit harder than he can Both Mario and Luigi never show to be tired despite all the acrobatic jumps and all the dangerous adventures they're involved in and they have a much more consistent stamina than Tails. They also have plenty of ways to be able to fly without sacrificing their stamina. Also, being in the air doesn't mean that Tails is safe from damage, as Mario and Luigi have plenty of options at long range, like fireballs, and they have excellent jumping skills. Luigi in particular jumps higher than Mario, meaning that he may be able to jump high enough to catch Tails and force him back to the ground, negating his positional advantage. Overall, Tails can't afford to use an overly offensive battle style like Sonic or Knuckles, as flying too much will severely reduce his effective stamina, which will noticeably weaken him and will punish him for being too aggressive, but he has to be more tactical, analyzing his opponents' weak points and using his strengths and his gadgets to his advantage instead of flying wildly to attack from the air.

3): Because of his limited stamina, Tails gets outclassed when it comes to flying. Luigi has access to several powerups that make him able to fly, starting with the Raccoon/Fox Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. Of course, he loses the active powerup if he takes too much damage, but as long as he is careful and has something to his disposal, it won't be too much of a problem.

4): Luigi has electricity-based powers with the Thunderhand from Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, and lightning travel at extreme speeds, much like cannonballs. Tails does have access to some attacks that use electricity, but ironically, he suffers from astraphobia, meaning that he's afraid of lightning. These types of attacks are also strong against his inventions. Tails' gadgets are made of metal, and metal is a good conductor of electricity, so Luigi's Thunderhand can damage, short-circuit or even destroy them.

5): Without his gadgets like the Dummy Ring Bombs, Tails' combat is weaker, and Luigi has more strength and endurance than him overall. Tails is still quite competent in close combat by using his tails to attack foes, and he is very fast, but speed alone isn't enough to win, and while his tail attacks are strong enough to penetrate metal and slice through it (like the Badniks), his physical strength is too low in comparison to Luigi, who is shown to have more stamina than Mario if we count the Mario & Luigi series, where he has weaker attack power than him, but more HP and defense and more luck (indicated by the STACHE points, and Luigi usually starts at 30 STACHE points compared to Mario's 20), which allows him to take strong hits better than his brother and perform critical hits a bit more often than him. Luigi also has the experience advantage, and it's not just because he's almost 20 years older than Tails. He and Mario have fought against and defeated Bowser and several other villains pretty much on a daily basis, even some that could be considered on par with gods if not being gods altogether, like Dimentio or Dreamy Bowser. They also mainly defeat them in their base form, while Sonic, if we have to compare him to Mario, almost always needs his Super Form to win against these kinds of bosses, especially in Sonic Frontiers, where he never defeats a boss in his base form, but he instead needs to turn into Super Sonic to defeat them.

6): Luigi has a wider amount of attacks than Tails. He and Mario have access to tens of different powerups, and not just for flying. They're incredibly versatile, and the varied arsenal of powerups give them all the tools to deal with every opponent depending on the situation. Tails has his gadgets, and they help him, but those are limited, and he can't always rely on them. Some of these, like his bombs or the remote robots from Tails Adventure, can even be used against him by Luigi with things such as his hammer or the Poltergust, so he must be careful when he uses them to avoid getting hit by his own projectiles. Luigi even has access to some invincibility power-ups, the most common being the Star, but it's not the only one.

Overall, I don't think it's realistic to have Tails win against Luigi. He has the advantage in consistent mobility, but I think that Luigi should have won because he has more experience than him, is stronger and can hit harder than him, has more consistent stamina, better durability, a larger variety of options to fight with and has options to stop him from going into the air and disable his gadgets.

This has nothing to do with this thread. We're talking about the show itself, not whether or not it's right. That's for the main thread.

Anyways, can someone add Cole vs. Alex and Galactus vs. Unicron? We've been sitting on Cole vs. Alex for months.

Edit request for the last sentence of the Blake VS Mikasa (Season 8) entry in the Curb Stomp Battle page:

While the animation appeared close, with Blake losing an arm during the fight, the ending analysis didn't really try to hide that it couldn't have ended any other way, with Mikasa receiving no listed advantages over Blake. To add insult to injury, Mikasa's one means of killing the Faunus was considered dubious with even a direct hit — IE. the best-case scenario for her — given Blake's fellow huntresses Weiss and Penny surviving even bigger explosions than the Thunder Spears with no lasting issues.

(just a quick reminder of this, seeing as there have been a few amendments to the page in recent weeks and I think this would be a relevant addition to that particular matchup)

Is there any reason why some episodes are italicized and others are "in quotations" on the Curb-Stomp Battle page? And then some lack either (SpongeBob VS Aquaman or Omni-Man VS Homelander, the latter of which isn't even written like every other episode on the page). This is a very minor, but IMO it would just look better if every episode is written in the same way, whether it be italics or quotations.

In this case I generally go for italics, as I have done so on the FridgeHorrorBattleConsequences.Death Battle page.

If no one wants to request it on the locked page then I can do so within 12 hours.

So I recently found that 'Tanjiro vs. Jonathan Joestar' has its own YMMV page that simply lists an example of Narm and think it would be perfectly acceptable adding to the main YMMV page as well.

  • When Tanjiro reveals that Nezuko is his sister, Johnathan abruptly bursts into tears and makes a somewhat goofy face, hurting an otherwise dramatic moment.
