Fullmetal Alchemist is a rather odd situation when it comes to disambiguating. It is technically an adaptation of the manga which would not necessitate a split but it is in a rather weird situation where the anime adaptation named the same as the manga is the one that is drastically different while the other anime adaptation has the subtitle of "Brotherhood".

I'd disambiguate the 2003 series.

^^ I think Anime.Sailor Moon and Anime.Sailor Moon Crystal are in the same boat but that’s a much bigger puzzle to untangle.

I posted about moving to FMA 03 in its media thread.

Another double post: any objections to moving Literature.Succession to Literature. The Succession Duology as suggested here? That way I don't believe we have to touch Series.Succession

(The) Succession Duology's fine by me too.

So I suppose the only question is the leading "The"?

The ebook includes "The" on the title page.

Done and wicks are moved. I kept Literature.Succession as a redirect.

A bit late to the FMA 2003. I'm not sure. I know that the first half of the anime is a pretty faithful adaptation of the manga. There are some differences but they're minor; albeit a lot of those differences are setting up the second half of the anime after which it diverges wildly. So I don't know, I can see the merit of it staying in it's namespace, at the same time I can see the merit of it splitting.

You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the mid

Hey everyone. So at this point we have two pages on the same work, The Princess and The Princess (2022). The latter was my fault, I created the page without realizing it had one already. I've already requested it be cut. MaLady suggested that The Princess get moved into The Princess (2022) and made a disambig (at least I think that's what they said-this has all been confusing to me). I don't know the protocol here though, or how to do that. Can anyone tell me here what should be done?

There are multiple other films by that name, so it could be disambiguated, although preemptive disambiguation isn't required.

Okay. How would it be moved? Is it a problem that I've made the cut list request?

For whichever page isn't being kept, make sure that all relevant content has been saved to the other page and that all wicks have been changed to point to the page being kept.

Is it a problem that I've made the cut list request?

Only if it's not ready to be cut or further discussion is needed first.

If all the examples have been saved to the page being kept, then it's fine. Wicks can be moved later.

To get a cut list request cancelled, you can make a post on ATT or holler a forum post about it, such as this one, to bring it to mod attention.

Webcomic. The Princess 2009 also exists, btw. So this isn't preemptive?

Btw, what would happen to the subpages? Currently The Princess has Trivia and YMMV pages.

[up][up][up] Thanks for the heads up. In that case Film. The Princess 2022 should be kept, and Film. The Princess can be made a redirect to that.

[up] They would be moved to the new location. It looks like the contents of the trivia page have already been copied over. Then what's left to do is:

  • copy over the YMMV page
  • merge the work pages
  • redirect the old work page
  • cutlist the old subpages
  • move the wicks

Will a mod please cancel the cut list request on The Princess (2022)? It's being preserved with the other page a redirect now.

I don't see it anywhere on the Cut List so maybe it was declined a while ago (I don't see it in the cutlist history though.)

A search for "the princess diana documentary Ed Perkins" reveals, as Wikipedia indicated, a 2022 documentary that's not the film that we were discussing, but at least one article indicates that it's just a compilation of archive footage? Does that form a narrative??

It at least attempts to form a narrative, even if it's archive footage.
