That Hoshiguma costume looks amazing.
Got Specter today from a headhunting permit, honestly her character concept and design is super cool so I'm super happy I got her, a nun habit to resemble an orca gives me major Wadanohara vibes.
Gotta admit, I like how Arknights encourages me to use my brain in actively clearing stages. Now I got this nostalgia from Plants vs. Zombies, probably the only other Tower Defense game I remember playing. My main operators are mostly above the recommended level with Skill Level 5, yet get defeated easily, or won't reach 3-stars when I try to randomly scatter them on the map.
Now, I'm looking at "meme clearing" videos on YouTube such as the infamous Shaw 4-4, and I was just like... "You can actually do that!? With a minimal amount of characters!?"
This is in contrast to all other RPG gacha games I've played (i.e. AL, E7, FGO, GBF, HI3) that are subjectively more like stat-checks IMO, which basically guarantee success once you simply level up stats and/or auto all the way. I'm liking how AK basically gives Auto Mode as a "reward" for clearing the stage with 3-stars... Because there is a clear incentive to learn the game and its mechanics instead of simply Level Grinding.
That being said, I'm Level 52, and still freakin' stuck on 3-8!
With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationThere's a series of videos on youtube of someone clearing every stage with a minimally leveled team of freebie characters only. Even if you can't copy the strategies exactly that could be useful for getting a general blueprint of how you should approach the mission.
KyoStinV's youtube channel is a lifesaver for sure. I've had to hit his videos up regularly for help in clearing levels.
More log-in bonuses for this month
Annihilation 3 down! I had to actually borrow a support unit for this, just to have another warm body that could block for two seconds.
One thing I've noticed that's fairly interesting - this game is very light on events. I'm not complaining given how intensive Grani and the Knights' Treasure was, but it makes for an interesting contrast to other games.
It's been fun.I was actually borrowing Silverash and he died immediately when I used his skill because I forgot that it lowers his defense. Luckily it didn't matter but I thought that was funny.
Yeah, to use the Silver Ash "cheese", he needs to be carried as well. The video guide I used as reference used E2 max level Gravel. I, myself, used Castle. Both died before Silver Ash could finish his skill but at least the objective was achieved.
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareI wonder who should I E2 first...especially for Anni 3, since I only got 350 kill myself. I'm currently a bit partial to Lappland/Estelle, or should I just aim for SA? Or borrow him instead or something? Also got problem that since I don't have any E2 yet, I can't borrow any E2 either...
Still, any choice would require me to grind quite a bit more res and cash...

Give me cute or give me...something?Lappland's E2 is amazing because she can permanently silence crushers and arts drones. Since she can also deal arts damage with her S2, an E2 Lappland can even take down a crusher on her own, assuming she gets enough healing.
So if you were already considering her anyway, I'd say that's a great choice.

Arknights probably feels lighter on events because its still only a bit over a year old. Doesn't have a huge catalog of story events to go through
Some list of Operator names and their origins... I think this is worth a read. But I also think that there might be more as well. Possibly to help us double-check with Meaningful Name / Punny Name / Named After Somebody Famous entries.
I'm really digging how they are hinting characterizations and/or relevant subtle details here.
With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationSilverAsh rate-up incoming.
I require the prettyboy.
All right, E2 Lappland and Estelle and got both to lv 20.
Now to try 400 kill anni3...
Give me cute or give me...something?I have achieved my first Elite 2 unit: Ptilopsis.
Aiming for E2 Exusiai next, but people really aren't exaggerating how expensive this gets. Took me all day just grinding for the LMD after I'd collected the necessary items.
Finishing all the LMD in a day seems pretty good to me.
There is a certain sense in which your consciousness stretches out over eternity though, and you longer feel the need to get things done immediately.
For what it's worth though, E2-ing a 6* is about twice as expensive as a 5*.

So I'm just wondering, how long did it take you guys to have your first E2 unit since you've started the game?
With Great Power, Comes Great MotivationI started playing on January 18 and got my first E2 (Shining) on February 5. So 18 days.
It would probably have taken a whole lot less with a 4 or 5 star though.
Also started playing since launch. I E2'd Amiya first on Feb 6 and then Silver Ash the next day, so 19 and 20 days respectively. Admittedly, I got most of my mats from the event at the time. Might not be a good measure

"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareStarted on launch, got Exusiai to E2 on Feb 22, so it took about over a month.
granted it might've gone faster if I wasn't throwing LMD and EXP at the Rhodes Island teams so

I'm mainly sharing this CN trailer for their next event because there's now an Operator named Bagpipe which is just great
also damn I'm going have to save for Sesa
