New Tropes in Need of Attention

A lot of newer tropes may be experiencing problems, specifically regarding attention from others. The OP may be the only one crosswicking, there have been very few edits, it only spent less than an hour on the Main Page, etc.

How do I use this thread?

You can use this place to ask for help on your newest trope, or use it to report a trope falling behind.

What is the criteria?

The trope must have spent at least an hour on the wiki before asking for help.

What is the point?

To help overshadowed pages get attention.

Well, for help, I need a lot of that on Surrealist Editing, please. I know it's a trope and I know I've seen it so many times before, but I'm having trouble with the description, title, and examples writing.

Anyway, I decided to go through the first page of the launched tropes and pull up ones that seem to have been overlooked after launching:

• Madonna Archetype has had no edits since being launched.
• Distressed Woodchopping, edited only by Xfllo and St Fan
• "Jar of Jellybeans" Contest has only 11 wicks and has only been edited 3 times after the launch
• Christmas Light Chaos: Only 2 edits made to the page, both from the sponsor.
• Mistakenly Attacked Mole: The most common editor is the trope's sponsor.
• Putto has had a few edits, but they've been formatting tweaks, not new content.
• Aimlessly Seeking Happiness has only been edited once after launching.
• Age-Stereotypical Food has only 4 edits after launch, only one of which was to add an example.
• Cathartic Chores is in the same boat as Age-Stereotypical Food.
• Press Hat has only 9 edits, most of which are formatting tweaks.
• Art Course: 2 edits after launch, both formatting.
• Modern AU Fic: The only editor is Pichu-Kun, who launched it.
• Seduction Lyric has a decent amount of edits, but most of them are from the sponsor.

• I find the problems with Putto to stem from a lack of any actual discussion. It was launched as soon as the three days were over. No real criticism, no real praise, just example-adds. Not saying the trope is bad, just that there should have been more actual sentence-on-sentence conversation.
• What Press Hat lacks in edits, it makes up for in wicks. This is my first trope to actually get a lot of wicks from other people.

Something I think deserves attention:

• Briefs Boasting spent very few minutes on the home page before getting over shadowed by Creators on the Autism Spectrum.

While it's true that Press Hat has a good amount of wicks, my concern has always been more focused on whether or not the trope is experiencing any growth after launch, rather than if it has a good wick count. Still, glad to see it's doing well in the wick department.

For the sake of establishing some kind of criteria, how new is "new" for the purposes of this thread? Going back through the tropes I launched last year, none of them are really gaining a lot of ground in terms of new examples, but I think the most recent one is from September or October.

This was more or less born from this thread, if that answers any questions.

Basically, any trope that you can vividly remember participating with on TLP. So probably from the last month or so.

That's a bit arbitrary; I've been on the TLP for over a year and vividly remember working on a lot of drafts.

So, more like... noticeably recently launched. Where it still feels like it was in TLP and might still need to prove itself. If you feel a sense of uncertainty, like that a trope will only have 20- wicks.

Or, to use the better analogy, the same criteria as TLP Crash Rescue: Prematurely Launched TLPs. Remember, this has two functions: asking for help with your trope, and reporting a different trope.

Anyway, can I get some help with Elemental Motifs? I don't know if should expand it or not. I have a crowner, but people aren't voting.

OK, so I'm gonna try this, trying to get some Wiki Magic.

Desk Sweep of Passion was launched half a year ago in May. I honestly feel like I've seen this million of times, but the trope only grew a little — one new example on the page that I cross-wicked today. And I think there is one new wick on some Roleplay page that is not on the trope page. Not very impressive. I tried to find a picture, but the screenshots from live-action tv don't look very well.
