Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

"Attention!" he announces on the intercom. "A tribute is trying to break into the Library! Please remain calm as we escort them to the Arena ASAP!"
He presses a button on the remote control and locks the doors with reinforced thick steel plates.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

As 6k1 continues her training, practicing her left-handed swordfighting with a robot before her match with Tabby, she reads the concerning message from Timothy. She takes a quick break and replies: I doubt that that zombie and his tribute are up to anything good, so please keep an eye out for them, especially during the season.
Power's Home
Power lounges in her bedroom, cheering for 6k1's tributes, as usual. She winces when Hordak and Entrapta accidentally shoot Reaper Bird with an arrow when Joker dodges it, and cringes when they ask Mr. Sutton for season leaks, only to be gunned down by the Peacekeepers for their trouble.
Lemon Bread, meanwhile, dodge rolls out of Two Faced's attacks, something that the other Underground monsters forget to do when they fight. Still reeling from the attacks, the Amalgamate slithers around and bites into a phone with TIDAL installed, opening the app. It somehow detects it as Yack Fest in disguise, and Y4CK-F357, the robot which the forum was installed in, just passes by and makes a post about this in the Random Thoughts thread.
Power just raises an eyebrow at that moment. She still keeps an eye on Sci-Twi and Midnight, however. The former barely escapes the Cornucopia after failing to protect it under the orders of the US Army while the latter finds a Phoenix Down in the remains. Sci-Twi then sprays herself with the Infinity Perfume and keeps it for her research while Midnight takes a break and plays a game, where she gets a bittersweet ending.

C17 Streets
A Combine patrol unit meet face to face with Shiva... and immediately begin firing at her.
"Bullets seem to be ineffective against the woman, but the robotics near her seem to have sustained minor injuries."
"Why, of course they are! Didn't they teach you that bullets don't solve everything?"
She then points her finger at the unit.
"Kill them. I don't care if you make a big mess, just get them out of my way."
Arena Sea
The cell continues eating and evolving. Finally, it reaches to the surface near land.

Power's Home
Night falls in the Arena. While Midnight nonfatally poisons Two Faced and jokes to Chrollo that the leaf she found was stomach-cleaning, Sci-Twi cooks a meal for the leaders of the Octonauts, making sure that there's no seafood. The next day, Chrollo bites Sci-Twi and sucks the purple color from her skin, causing her to freak out at becoming a regularly-colored human. Midnight, meanwhile, chases Barnacles, Peso, and Kwazii across dimensions, traveling through doors that lead to alternate versions of themselves before returning to the Arena.
"Oh Celestia..." says Power after the trio hides from Midnight and catches their breath. "Hopefully Sci-Twi will explain herself if they meet her again..."
Sayaka then resurrects all the dead tributes so far as her undead servants, Reaper Bird included. It now looks more grotesque than before since the Determination warped its body upon revival. Power hopes that 6k1's scientists will restore its original form after the season, even if they wouldn't try separating its components.

Rose, Aster, and Violet all sat in the same table, with Aster teaching his crew-mates as much english as he knows. They saw some odd creatures pass by or even silently talk to each other, but weren't too keen on approaching them.Yet.

Elliot really started thinking with portals. He does pretty damn well with them, actually. Tripping up his enemies and letting them go after each other was honestly the best strategy Elliot could employ at the time. That and shooting down sentinels, elites, jackals, flood forms, all in the same single file line, were his bread and butter for the next few minutes."Yo, chief," Elliot casually said through his portable phone as he continued beaming his enemies down, "Ya know where the dragonball radar is?"

"Good. I'm glad that you're back. You may not remember this, but Bale and his closest allies have been attacked by the Legion of Doom. While we don't know where Bale is, we suspect that his other allies are locked up somewhere. Maybe you could help us? And thanks again for the help Ichigo."
Giegue and Mewtwo then teleported back to the Library with the newly-repaired Xoichi. Once arrived, Mewtwo thelepatically contacted Bale's Pokemons, telling them that Xoichi was repaired.
"Unacceptable. Must eliminate. No trace left."

Scanning for Allies
Xochi greeted the Pokemon, and began to search for Bale's other assistants... Eventually finding Mr. Godzilla and Mini-Deadpool.
Xochi: I have detected where each of Bale's assistants are, MD is currently at Billy's Mansion... Mr. Godzilla is currently at the World of OKKO (Designation: World-2017). Before you ask, that designation number is my way of differentiating between alternate worlds, since there are infinite realities.
With that done, Xochi began to try and find Bale's whereabouts. Until he found him in the World of Ultraman (Designation: World-1963).
Xochi: There they are! Now all that we got left is to go there.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."

6k1 continues training, this time practicing her barrier spell. While she decides not to use it in her match with Tabby, she has to give her new charm a test run and learn how to use it. She also takes water breaks from time to time.

Timothy sees Giegue and Mewtwo return with the newly repaired Xochi, and the latter detects the whereabouts of Bale and his assistants.
"I wish you the best of luck in rescuing him!"
Power's Home
Power freaks out when Sci-Twi goes down the way of 2019!Joker and guns down PCW!Pac-Man in a train, then threatens Mr. Dink by saying that every second he's not running, she's only getting closer. The unicorn takes several deep breaths as she briefly flashes back to the time when Sci-Twi's pony counterpart lost it in OT Season 95, and reassures herself that 6k1 will take care of her, even if she's not her tribute this season.
And speaking of which, Human!Pinkie Pie declares that she'll nominate her nominator as tribute for a future season.
"As in the 'other brony and ARMY nominator'?" Power wonders. "She probably chose to accompany Sci-Twi this season, and she's just being Pinkie."
Meanwhile, Professor Sauron recruits Lemon Bread to show her his secret underground lab while Midnight sets up her camp in an abandoned cemetery. Miranda then enters the room and tells Power that she's got a visitor.
"H-How did you find us?!" Power asks King Kong Mushi when they go outside. She assumes that his nominator revived him right after he was mauled by a monster the Arena day before.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
Kirby
Marx's Base
Marx is checking which group of people he wants to convert. He then realises what day it is and has an idea.
He then makes a message and embeds this video. He then sends it to 6k1, whoever is currently in the Database Library, Tabby, Ichigo, Eredars, and Kirby.
Tabby's Base
The Burger Beast manages to break through the shield and enters the base. Kirby and the others chase after it.
Kirby then receives the video. He does not care and keeps chasing.
The Database Library
The quesadilla manages to break the cage and escapes the tank, while the pretzel manages to unlock it's cage and escaped.

The Luminmechs lunge foward at the Combine. They managed to dent the core of one of them, but it wasn't enough to stop the light-themed pieces of scrap from killing them.
"Piece of cake."
She then continues foward as the horrified citizens and rebels watch.

Timothy opens the video and simply shakes his head. Ally, meanwhile, has the video hacked into her databanks, and she can't stop singing and dancing to the song, much to Dupe's confusion.
Kendoria, Sword School
6k1's phone vibrates in the middle of her training. She opens the video and laughs at it.
"One of the classic memes... Well played but it's rude to interrupt my training like that."
The Science Center
As the other scientists give away the Lablings to the other researchers, Claire notices the Treatlings escape.
"Anthony, check if there are any creatures that we missed, and put mini-trackers on them."
Power's Home
Power left her cauldron on when she was talking to King Kong Mushi, so she ends up missing the next two episodes. Deeply regretting her brief snap, Sci-Twi goes to the Detective Agency to solve the case of F0RUM-G4M35's "murder". After gathering enough evidence, Sci-Twi accuses Lemon Bread of the murder, who bites her in retaliation. The teacher just shakes their head, since the robot simply self-destructed.
Sci-Twi is then ordered by Alma to kill Snow, but she comes to her senses, drops her bow, and teleports away from the two ex-presidents using her geode. Later that night, she accidentally breaks an ancient monument and causes the solar system to stop moving, and the next day, Hyunjin accidentally touches the same monument and causes a mini-Great Destruction. Thankfully the Gamemakers reverse the effects, but refuse to bring him back, and the other tributes go about as normal. Lemon Bread spikes Croconator's drink with a love potion, causing it to fall in love with Primal Rage!Sauron, while Sci-Twi delivers some weapons to Hauzer with a speedboat.

Psyche watches as Hyunjin accidentally touches the dangerous artefact Sci-Twi had broken and causes an apocalypse. The world is quickly restored, and everyone is revived, though Hyunjin is quickly gunned down by Peacekeepers.
Psyche blinks.
"Oh. Well. That happened." She sighs. "RIP, Hyunjin. Be more careful next time."
And with that, she turns back to her laptop and gets back to work on her fanfic.
I wonder if he was trying to kill Morbius again...

As Paper Coke pats his head, she turns her head and watches the season. Sci-Twi feels pangs of despair for failing to solve the case, and she transforms into an Eldritch Abomination that looks more horrific than Midnight. Lemon Bread, meanwhile, bites Professor Grabiner and throws him into a pit before burying him alive, then teams up with Carlton to perform Swing Bros. on PR!Sauron, spinning him around like a drill before biting him to death.
oh no, i cry, says the stick figure as she cries waterfalls. The real Power, meanwhile, would be having the same reaction but more emphatic, but she's still talking with her guest.

While the Pokémon and the cats hang out at the Library, Timothy checks the security cams. He sees a zombie trying to sneak his way in, and he orders the guards to keep watch of him and release the anti-supernatural mist.
