Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

(Meanwhile, the Doctor goes after Dupe!Sidon with a giant spoon, though he escapes.) That was…improbable. I should see about getting that spoon away from that fellow next time we meet.
Realm of the Alebrije
(Zuma looks absolutely miserable for a moment.) ….Yes I do.
Oh, yes… (Veena says, shuddering as she thinks about what happened to Rodriguez.)
I hope Blood Moon hasn’t tried that again. (Sticky says.)
I bet anythin’ he HAS tried doin’ that again to draw in alternate Stanfords. (Knox says.)
Cape Suzette
AUGH!! UNHAND ME, WHOEVER YOU ARE!! (Stephano protests.)
Cousin, you’re flying! (Dumptruck says cluelessly.)
(He and Mad Dog take advantage of Lightning Claws immediately turning his attention toward Stephane’s invisible captors and run away.)
Nominators? But we aren’t nominators. (June says.)
(They end up running right into Baloo.)
Oh, there you are, Kit! I’m glad you’re alright. (Baloo says, relieved.)
No time, Baloo, we gotta get out of here!
Right, let’s get back topside. (Baloo says.)
(They begin quickly trying to scramble back up the hatch they entered through, Stephano protesting angrily all the way.)
(Don Carnage charges at Solid Rock and swings his sword.)
(One of the fleeing pirates ends up activating the Iron Vulture’s bomb bay doors, causing the floor to start opening up as Don Carnage continues fighting Solid Rock.)
WHO HAS OPENING THE BAY DOORS?!
Icicle Mountain
(Dess finally sits back up.) You still alive? I’d say “we” but…you know me.
(Popo and Nana immediately get a first aid kit out to set Onox’s arm.)
Oh, neat, I think they wanna help ya! (Dess says.) …Wait a minute, why am I down here? I can’t die again, to th’ best of my knowledge, anyway. Onox, are you gonna be good down here with these two patchin’ you up?
(Lyric looks on in worry at Squishy upon hearing the poor creature shriek in pain, before thundering toward the soldiers, using Extreme Speed to try to at least slow them down and buy Squishy time to escape.)
SQUISHY!! LYRIC!! (Oscar is horrified as well, genuinely worried that Lyric will get hurt and/or that Squishy will die before they can think of a way to get to it, and wondering if they should have just gone toward it in the first place despite the soldiers surrounding it.)
(Then he gets worried because he realizes that Dark Stanford hasn’t shown up this whole time. Is he here or-?)
(He gets his answer when a dark portal opens up and out steps Dark Stanford. His tie is loosened up, and so his form is bigger and less stable than usual. He seems to already be looking for Oscar and Lucian.)
No…! (Oscar gasps, every inch of his currently small frame starting to tremble in horror. How will they save Squishy now without getting caught by Dark Stanford? He knows getting caught by him now would likely spell near-immediate death.)
(He takes his enormous club and simply throws it at the elite Mawkin chasing them, hoping that it’ll redirect him in his Morph Ball form away from them and buy them more time to think of a plan to save Squishy (while avoiding being killed by Dark Stanford).)

Realm of the Alebrije
"I suppose he did. Now that Blood Moon has evolved, he possesses most of what makes the X parasite so terrifying. A normal X parasite is already dangerous, even driven by natural instincts, but Blood Moon being driven by someone like Raven Beak..." Fire Eyes sighed, clearly not well too.
Cape Suzette
"I think he knows we're allied with them!" Aaron said to June, the team bumping with Baloo.
"Heh, don't worry. The kid was going to be just fine with us around." Alex said to the bigger bear.
"You'll boast later, Alex!!" Tokage exclaimed.
But before the team could scramble back up the hatch, an Ice Arrow, hit, freezing the entrance.
"What??" Tokage screamed in shock, followed by Wild Sea chuckling as she leaped behind the group, catching up with Lightning Claws.
"You are not going anywhere. Not until we have who we came for." the female Chozo said, licking her beak in anticipation. The Rescue Squad immediately put themselves between the two Chozo, and June, Stephano, Baloo, and Kit.
"You are not going to capture that Stanford." the Lucario grunted.
"Good. I was hoping you would say that, kid. It makes things more interesting for us." Wild Sea chirped.
"We know you serve the nominators. Their forces have already taken one of us. You will pay in blood for Frost Bite's death." Lightning Claws hissed.
Then, the floor started to open.
"Oh no..." Aaron gasped, realizing that they were in danger. That didn't seem to be a problem for the Chozo.
If they could not thaw the ice in time, their only chances would be the pirates's planes
"Alex! Try to thaw that ice, right now!!" the Lucario exclaimed.
"Y-Yeah!!" Alex said, trying to thaw the ice with a Flamethrower.
Lightning Claws immediately ran towards Tokage with his deadly claws while Wild Sea charged a Wide Arrow. As she fired it, the pink energetic projectile split into three, aiming toward the rest of the group.
Meanwhile, the bomb bay doors opening did not bother Solid Rock at all, as he kept expertly blocking Don Carnage's sword with his hammer.
Eventually, the old warrior blocked it with his bare claws, grabbing the sword and holding it tight, to the point that his claws started to bleed a bit.
With a war cry, Solid Rock used his other hand to swing his powerful hammer at Don Carnage.
Icicle Mountain.
Onox sniffed at Popo and Nana immediately tried to heal him.
"T-Thanks..." the brute said before turning toward Dess.
"I think... But be careful. If that big bird gets you, I'm not sure what would happen." Onox said.
As they were sliding away to a safer spot to hide, Lucian too felt extremely bad upon leaving Lyric and Squishy behind.
But before he could do anything about it, Dark Stanford appeared, looking to settle the score with the duo. Lucian whined and trembled in fear as well. He didn't stop even when Oscar caught the chasing Mawkin by surprise by redirecting him with his club.
"O-Oscar, w-what do we do??!!" Lucian asked Oscar. Judging by his breath growing more and more erratic, he was starting to panic.
Meanwhile, even with Lyric's help, Squishy grew slower and slower, the cold environment making it more sluggish. The soldiers hit him in the chest one time after another.
To make things worse, Lyric would hear a low, cold voice behind him.
"It would seem I underestimated you. You can still be of use to me, Lucario." Raven Beak coldly said before slashing at Lyric with his powerful claws.

The Arena
Ally scans NTC's number and adds him to the group chat, but hears the horn sound.
It appears that the season has officially initiated. It is imperative that I fly back to the Database Library before the Peacekeepers arrest me for being an unregistered tribute, or one of the tributes destroy me in the crossfire. We hope that we can meet up in person again!
He quickly takes to the skies and watches the season down below, zooming in to see the Indeedee assist Tomo in his presentation. However, Ally feels tempted to act like the real Carlos, but despite the risks, he gives in and flies near Manners to give him a "pep talk".
It is recommended that you go by your serial code "Experiment 358" this season for identification purposes.
But Manners waves his finger at him, casting his politeness spell on him. "Uh uh uh! I am certainly not falling for this trick of yours!"
My sincerest apologies, Manners! I shall make haste and retreat to my home before I further endanger my own life!
Ally flies off and flies at a higher altitude, keeping an eye out for the butlers. They and the other tributes get annoyed by Tommy and Kelly's shouting, so Manners waves his finger again to pacify them, and then pacifies MO as well when he declares that he'll make Manners' and Belos' lives as annoying as possible.
On the way back to the Library, Ally sees the Indeedee offer to be the butler for Alan, Thrawn, and Amity's cult. The Databot then arrives at the entrance and transforms back into Garnet before going inside.
The Database Library, Basement
6k1 is about to continue the discussion with her family when Ally arrives.
"So how was the meeting with NTC and Cass?"
It was a somewhat productive one. I acquired the former's contact details and added him to Mintleaf Tempest's group chat, so you are now able to call or text him anytime.
"That's great!"
But I would like to remind you that this is your last season to gain a Podium Finisher before the Battle Royale, but statistically speaking, this is a low probability.
"Oh right, even if everyone can nominate up to two tributes now, the expanded roster lowered their chances of getting a PF, huh?"
Not necessarily for a few lucky nominators, but that is correct.
"Well, I hope the Gamemakers will do something about this while still maintaining the 'competitive balance'!"
It it likely that they will discuss it in the near future, but I cannot give you the full details right now.
6k1 shrugs. "Guess I'll root for body-swapped Alma if I've got no one next season..."
I still wish your tributes the most optimal luck. Ally then goes to the family room door and adds, you may now continue your conversation with the Dreemurrs. I will just be watching the season if you require my assistance.
Belissima's Realm
Justice then checks on the foals, and while the others are playfully messing with the paint, the prankster carefully works on his artwork in one corner, ignoring them.
"Looks like he's focused on making his apology!" says the old stallion.
Underground Bunker
"Either way, that was still an alt of 6k1, so I don't know if the real one is wearing those rings, too," Power whispers to Ichi. "But whatever happens, we should wait for her to tell us why her alt was wearing them."
Star feels tempted to interrogate them further on this. While she was informed of 6k1's counseling with Cadance, she's kept out of the loop on what exactly they talked about. But she has this nagging feeling that that's connected to the rings somehow...
She sighs. "Fine, have it your way, sis. If we're really not supposed to know the secret, then I won't ask you any further."
Eastborough, Eldritch Labyrinth
"I don't get it..." Berdly Prime grumbles at Libby's explanation on her healing powers.
He continues staying on guard as he navigates the maze and makes sure the Smol One doesn't get absorbed by a flesh wall. They eventually find their rescuees, and Berdly Prime immediately recognizes his alt's companion.
"Oh my gosh, Philip Pirrip? Is that you?! I remember reading about you in one of our Lit— wait a minute... why do you look like you're from a children's book adaptation of it?" He looks around and laughs awkwardly at the current situation. "But anyway, do what you must to take them home safely," he tells Libby. "I'll call the others that we've found 'em."
Berdly Prime gets his phone, but all he gets is garbled static.
"Crap, this place must've jammed it, too..."

Arena Outskirts
Nine-Tailed Cat nodded to Ally. "All right. We were just about to leave anyway. It was nice talking to you!"
"Until we meet again!" said Cassandra.
The two then headed off to catch a ride back to the lab.
The Arena, Season 272
No sooner had the Stegosaurus stepped into the Arena than the Three Kings ordered its execution. It was promptly killed, embalmed in myrrh, and buried with gold and frankincense, as appropriate to Three Kings.
Meanwhile, the Triceratops saw the Golden Saint in its way and charged her, skewering her on its three deadly horns. Seeing its work was done, it walked away, only for Wayne Werewolf to come up and revive the Golden Saint with a Phoenix Down.
On the first day, the Triceratops decided to try opening up a can of soda with its horns, but somehow managed to get stuck inside the can itself. Luckily, it eventually managed to free itself, unlike poor Detective Tails who'd gotten himself permanently stuck in a fence nearby. It then ran across the Crown Princess Ivy, who asked it to imagine something that didn't exist, but proved not to be an imaginative enough dinosaur for that.
The following day, it got into a dispute with the leopard Mark, bellowing repeatedly at him. However, he couldn't understand it, so the Triceratops ran off to find somewhere to vent its frustrations. It ended up breaking open a case of beer (bottles rather than cans, to avoid a repeat of yesterday's embarrassing incident) and getting quite drunk while waiting for nightfall.
I like cute things. You gotta deal with it.

The Arena
That night, the Indeedee encounters what seems to be a strange Minccino (actually a bilby) and noogies it, while Manners searches for Jotaro pics online but quickly looks away.
"How rude of these people to draw him like that!" he says.
The two butlers along with a few other tributes then pass by Medusa and Sam Yao lying on the ground, but they move along because they think they're just chilling. Manners then finds a mysterious device and tests it on Fem!Robin, but accidentally turns her into a baby, and the Peacekeepers immediately show up and point their guns at him.
"Oh, dearest apologies! It was an accident! I'm nothing like my cousin Babyfier, so I shall undo this posthaste!"
He presses the button again and turns Robin back to normal before excusing the Peacekeepers and leaving. He then sees the Infinity Machine flying towards him at night, and unsure of what to do, he sics a giant monster on it, which devours it. Manners profusely apologizes for it and runs away, but he argues with Puss about which tooth filling Thrawn uses for Frank's dental appointment the next day. Realizing how rude they've been acting, Manners casts his spell on himself and Puss, hoping that it lasts.
Meanwhile, the Indeedee yells at Kurama for using a bucket as a lampshade, but Kurama tells him that it's DIY.
Underground Bunker
Spice carries Pepper on his back and quietly escorts him and Star away from Power and Ichi while Moon follows them.
"We're just gonna be dino spotting on the other side, okay?" Spice tells Power.
"Okay," she says.
Once the coast is clear, she still whispers to Ichi just in case.
"It still is to me, even if I've been cool with LGBT+ people in general. It's just that I wanna check on the real 6k1, but I don't wanna upset her since last we talked, she suspected that we've figured it out ahead of her. I know her AU clone's technically out by wearing those rings, but we should still be careful around her."
The Database Library Basement
"Anyway..." says 6k1, "did you check out your classroom right away?"
"Nope," says Frisk.
"'Cuz the principal took us all on a school tour for the grand opening!" adds Asriel.
"Indeed, I did." Toriel smiles.
"Really?!" asks 6k1.
"Yes! As the founder of New Home School, I appointed myself as its first principal! But you shouldn't have named the school, Gorey," she asides to Asgore, who chuckles in embarrassment.
She then shows 6k1 an album of the tour, showing the school's various facilities. It has classrooms from preschool all the way to high school, a well-staffed faculty room, gender-inclusive restrooms, various labs for Science, Computer, and Home Ec, music and art studios, a gym/auditorium, an audio-visual room, a cafeteria, and many more. It's almost like Kris's school in Hometown, but 6k1 doesn't point that out.
"That's mighty impressive, Mom!" she says, "How many students enrolled? Did you get any human students?"
"Not yet, and we're still starting out small, but we hope to get some transferees soon!"
"And are you also Frisk and Asriel's homeroom teacher?"
"As much as I wanted to, no, because I'm teaching kindergarten while they're in elementary!"
"But do you tutor them at night?"
"Of course, but I'll teach them how to do their homework on their own and only ask me for help if they absolutely need it."
"No person is an island, my son," Asgore tells Asriel, "but independence is just as important."
"Yeah!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

The Voidlands, Grassland Area
Shadow Kirby and Anna walk through a grassy area of the Voidlands.
"You're clearly in no shape to fight off any of the creatures here." said Shadow Kirby. "Many of them tend to be very dangerous!"
"I suppose so..." Anna replied.
"Well, it's a good thing i'm here, poyo."
Eventually they arrive at Shadow Kirby's house.
Shadow Kirby's House
Shadow Kirby gives Anna some of the candy he stored. Anna likes it!
"I've never eaten anything like this for a while!" she said. "Brother Kirby, do you have any friends?"
"Not a lot, really. I do meet up with a lot of creatures, poyo." he answered. "Most of them are nice, but some are dangerous. Thankfully i have cool powers on my arsenal, so they never get too out of line."
"So exciting!"
Shadow Kirby then goes towards a cupboard and picks up a picture inside. It's a doodle of Kirby.
"I do have a counterpart from another dimension. He looks just like me, but he's pink! He's as tough as i am, too!"
"You know, i don't go on a lot of adventures. The creatures outside are too scary and tough for me to face..."
"Well, i like adventures, and with powers like mine, keeping dangerous creatures at bay is a breeze!"
"So cool! I wanna go on an adventure with you!"
"Well, i don't see why not, poyo!"
The Spacepod
Kirby watches the season as Ribbon readies some desserts for her, Bandana Dee, and Elfilin.
The Night Sky
Outside, high up in the sky, a rift forms, and what appears to be a spaceship emerges. It flies in the sky erratically.

We should probably search for him as soon as we are ready. (Greta says.) And perhaps find someone who can fully restore Fire Eyes' memory without risking hurting him. Whoever that might be.
Cape Suzette
(June scarcely has time to wonder who this Frost Bite Wild Sea is talking about is before they realize the bay doors are opening.)
(June quickly leaps into action. She dodges the energy arrow by diving to the ground and immediately uses Night Daze in Wild Sea's direction.)
(Baloo and Kit just manage to dodge the arrows as well. Baloo looks up at Alex.) Make way for us when you get it thawed out enough, alright? I'll try to get the Sea Duck low enough to where you can all just hop on from the top of the Vulture.
LET ME GO!!! (Stephano protests.)
So you can stay with those bird guys? (Baloo says incredulously.)
(Down below, the hammer catches Don Carnage despite his attempt to dodge it and he flies into the wall with enough force to leave a wolf-shaped imprint in it, with his sword clattering across the floor several feet away.) Ouch... (He squeaks, chattering Chozo spinning around his head.)
(Mad Dog and Dumptruck pull him off the wall.) What do we do, boss? (Mad Dog asks.)
They are out of our match! Rrrrretreat!! (Carnage wheezes, gripping his side.)
But ve are already on our ship. (Dumptruck says.)
Then give them what they have come here for before we lose any more men! Or me most of all! (Carnage shouts.) My back is aching!
(The pirates are too scared to try to pick a fight with the Mawkin, but at the same time they want the Mawkin to just go away (especially since they have no qualms about killing them). Several who are still standing begin climbing up to where Aaron and the others are.)
Bumblyburg
Like, it sure is taking a while, man. (Wes says.)
Maybe it's just taking a lot of convincing? (Millie says.) ...But then again, it's been almost twenty minutes. I hope Larry's okay.
I wish we didn't look so out of place here. (Shelby says.) Otherwise we could just go right in.
' Hey, Millie, maybe you could just climb the building. (Wes suggests.)
Not a bad idea, but I'd have to risk not being seen. (Millie says.) But I dunno what other option we have, especially if Larry ran into some kind of problem and needs help.
Well...I suppose we could wait until there aren't very many people around to see you come out of the bushes and run across the street. (Shelley says.)
Hey, doesn't look like anybody's really looking right now anyway. (Millie says.) I'm gonna go for it.
(Millie dashes across the street and to the Grand Hotel. She digs her claws into the terra-cotta exterior and begins to climb.)
Icicle Mountain
Right! You two take care of him, okay? (Dess says, floating back up.)
(They end up right behind Dark Stanford. Dess immediately realizes who this must be, sneaks up on him, and covers his eyes.) Guess who?
What-? GO AWAY!! (Dark Stanford snarls, spinning around trying to grab for Dess.)
(Lyric tries to dodge, but he isn't quick enough and ends up with several slash marks on his chest. He drops to the ground in pain.)
(Despite this, Lyric is still defiantly looking up at Raven Beak.) Sorry, sir, but I've found another opportunity elsewhere. (He says, referring to his family. Aside from his Eeyore-like voice, there's little trace of the depressed Lucario whom Dark Stanford originally took in left by this point.)
No no NO!! (Oscar says, shaking his head. He tries desperately to think of an idea since Lyric is injured, Squishy is getting too cold, Dess potentially in danger of being attacked by Dark Stanford, and Onox is nowhere to be seen. He's especially worried about Squishy, not wanting it to be defeated by the Mawkin, and Lyric, who for all of his prowess is clearly no match for Raven Beak. They immediately have to be rescued, but how?)
(Then, an idea comes to him, but it sounds absolutely absurd to him because it feels to him like something that would only be possible in the Looniverse...so why is something inside of him telling him that he can do it now when they aren't there? Whatever it is, he feels he should do it now while Dark Stanford and Raven Beak are distracted.)
Lucian...I'm...I'm about to do something absolutely crazy so...don't panic. (Oscar says.)
(Oscar yanks on his face until his Bull Gator head pops off, revealing not Oscar's own face but...the face of the Mawkin soldier who had just been chasing them.)

"Wait, hop on from the Vulture?" Alex exclaimed at Baloo.
"At this point, we don't have many choices, Alex!" Tokage said, summoning leaf blades just in time to have them clash with Lightning Claws's deadly claws, preventing him to reach Stephano.
"Believe us, you'll thank us!" Aaron said to the fox, also dodging Wild Sea's arrows before rushing with an Aura Bone to help Tokage against Lightning Claws. As for Wild Sea, she dodged the Night Daze and fired more arrows.
Down below, Solid Rock slowly advanced toward the defeated Carnage to finish him off. The old warrior looked above him to see the crew going toward where his companions and Stephano were.
He sighed. As much as he wanted to kill the pirate captain, likely helping the townfolks beneath them, Raven Beak had told the team that the Altford and crippling the nominators were the priority. Everything else was subordinate.
Reluctantly, Solid Rock turned away from Carnage and started climbing upward, much to the Rescue Squad's horror.
"Erm... Alex? We won't last long if they're all ganging on us!!" Aaron shouted, he and Tokage already struggling to hold back Lightning Claws.
"YEAH, YEAH, I'M ON IT!!" Alex answered. Eventually, the Charmeleon finally thawed the ice.
"There!! Quickly, you two, get us out of here!!" Alex said to Baloo and Kit.

"I see. But when I will finish what Stokes has started at Whispering Pines, and eliminate them myself, you will belong to me. You cannot stop the inevitable. Soon, nothing will." Raven Beak said to Lyric, pointing his Arm Cannon at the injured Lucario, knowing what he meant.
Lucian could only stare at them and Squishy struggling in horror, not knowing what to do without being killed on spot.
"W-What do you-AAAAHH!!" Lucian asked Oscar, turning his head, only to scream when he saw the Mawkin soldier's face instead. The poor "alligator" lost his balance and fell into the snow.
It took a moment for Lucian to realize who this "Chozo" actually was, and he struggled to speak.
"Y-Y-You... O-Oscar..." he stammered, still shaking. He was relieved that this was still his friend, but he seriously started to wonder how he was able to do that.
Lucian looked at his "claws", then at Oscar.
"I... I-I think... I-If I was able to make that net appear, I should be able to change form too..." he said, still very nervous.

(Rikuo regains consciousness after being hit up top the head by a juice bottle.) I did not think I was even winning. What was the cause for that? Goodness, I am hungry…

(Baloo and Kit don’t have to be told twice. They scramble up through the opening and climb back up the ropes back up to the Sea Duck as quickly as possible. June ducks under the arrows again and fires off another Night Daze to try to drive Wild Sea back.)
(Kit beats Baloo back up top and lowers the Sea Duck so Baloo will have an easier time getting back on board to take control of the plane, and so the Pokémon won’t have to shimmy back up the ropes as well.)
C’mon, hurry! (June says, climbing back up top. Stephano is still very loudly protesting.)
(Carnage, currently caring little that Baloo and Kit are/were here, staggers over to the lever for the bay doors and starts to close them.)

(Lyric pushes himself off the ground and launches himself away from Raven Beak, despite it causing him a great deal of pain.)
(Dark Stanford finally throws Dess of of himself.) You have just signed your death sentence, creature! (He growls, loosening his bow tie further and growing larger and more monstrous-looking.)
What? I’m already dead! I signed it a while back! (Dess laughs, but in the back of their mind they worry that Dark Stanford could actually kill them despite Dess technically already being dead.)
(Oscar is still rather frightened and weirded out, but tries to keep a level head for Lucian’s sake.) Y-Yes. If it works, we’ll try to blend in with the others and try to save Squishy and the others. If it’s just me who can do this, for the love of everything, stay hidden and don’t make a sound. I think we’re running out of time to save them! (Oscar says.)
(Oscar still makes a mental note to explore just how on earth he was just able to instantly change from one disguise to another despite not being in Bugs’ world, and wondering if it had to do with how he and Lucian were still able to use Bull and Axl’s respective weapons before.)

Around the time June forced Wild Sea to dodge with another Night Daze, Tokage, and Lucario managed to finally repel Lightning Claws with their respective Leaf Blades and Aura Bone for a short moment.
The Rescue Squad immediately went with June and climbed with her back to the Iron Vulture's top, Alex grabbing Stephano with him.
"Oh no!!" the Charmeleon exclaimed as the three Chozo were just after them, Solid Rock having caught up with his companions. Wild Sea prepared a Grapple Arrow to lasso the Altford back to her.
"We gotta jump!! Now!!" Aaron said, preparing to jump holding June's hand.
Icicle Mountain
Raven Beak anticipated Lyric and got to him in an instant. The cruel Chozo brutally punched Lyric in the chest with a powerful punch. As for Squishy, the three soldiers that have chased after Lyric focused on Squishy as well. Time was running out.
Meanwhile, Lucian looked around very nervously. He wanted to go with Oscar despite how scared he was, but he didn't know what to transform into.
At least, not yet.
Lucian took a deep breath.
"I-I... I'll try to think about something while I'm hidden. M-Maybe I can try to get you all away when you got Lyric and Squishy. Oscar, please... be careful. I'll help as soon as I can." Lucian said, looking at his friend dead in the eye, grabbing his claws.

While the Indeedee refuses to kin anyone named Hongledong, Manners ducks for cover from a grenade thrown at him out of nowhere, but the bilby catches it for him and explodes.
"Oh dear!" says Manners, "I shall pay my utmost respects to this little creature who saved my life!"
He gets up, bows his head, and puts a hand to his heart in memory of the bilby, and then goes to get some hot chocolate from Drifter's cat with the Indeedee.
The next day, the butler Pokémon heads the planning of Zeba's surprise party, while Manners witnesses MO forcefeed Amity pineapple pizza, killing her instantly.
"My word, it appears that my spell is only temporary! However, I shall warn the other tributes first about the dangers behind this so-called 'Hawaiian' pizza!"
He builds a statue recreating the death and puts it on display in the Hall of Accidents.

Okay, Lucian. Stay hidden! (Oscar says.)
(Once he’s sure Lucian is safe, Oscar walks out, acting as though he is about to join the other elite Mawkin in finishing Squishy off, a bit unused to how tall he now is in his Mawkin disguise (especially after having spent most of the day disguised as such a small character).)
(He doesn’t have time to dwell on this, however. He doesn’t know how he’s going to save everybody. He doesn’t even know if he can. He doesn’t even know how to act like a Mawkin. He feels as lost as he initially was when he first disguised himself as Bull Gator.)
(He sees Lyric lying on the ground. Scared that he’s dying, Oscar goes toward him first.)
(Unfortunately, Dess sees what looks like Raven Beak and another elite Mawkin approaching Lyric.)
Yikes!! Lyric!! (Dess lifting off and swiftly carrying him off, going to where Nana and Popo are taking care of Onox.)
(Oscar is so startled that he just looks between where Lyric was and Raven Beak for a moment.)
(Dark Stanford approaches as well.) Hurry up and finish wearing the creature off!! (Dark Stanford barks at the Mawkin.)
(Despite his terror at being so close to Dark Stanford, Oscar nods in as affirmative of a manner as he can and approaches Squishy…but instead of trying to chill Squishy, he attempts to use something on his suit that will warm the poor creature back up.)

"YAAAAUGH!" Aaron also screamed. He also grabbed onto the edge of the doorway with his free hand. June then helped him inside.
Alex and Tokage also jumped while screaming, the Charmeleon holding the fox.
"Guys! Hold on!!" Aaron said, he and June helping the trio back up. As he did so, the Lucario looked above to see the three Chozo staring down at them.
"So they made it this far..." Solid Rock calmly remarked.
"Let's get to the ships, immediately. They cannot leave!" Lightning Claws hissed, leaping high enough to reach his ship. Wild Sea and Solid Rock followed suit... though before that, Solid Rock turned for a second into a ball with Morph Ball before dropping a Power Bomb inside the ship, as a "parting gift" for the pirates. The small sphere was quick to frantically glow up, ready to create a huge explosion.
Even if that wasn't enough to kill the pirates inside or destroy the ship, it should keep them away from the town for a while.
"WHEW!! That was close..." Alex sighed in relief, only for the Rescue Squad to look on in horror as the three Chozo already got into their vessels and then started to open fire.
"It's not over... I have a bad feeling about this, hang on tight, guys!" Tokage said to his teammates, Stephano and June.
"Baloo, we need to go before they gun us down!! NOW!!" Aaron shouted.

Raven Beak's iron talon only hit the snow as Dess managed to grab Lyric in time before vanishing with him, much to Lucian's relief.
There was only Squishy left. But after one last attempt to chase off the soldiers surrounding it by spitting more acid balls, the Metroid dropped to its knees, nearing defeat.
Though exhausted, it recognized Oscar disguised as a Mawkin thanks to his energy signature. Though nothing on the suit worked to heat it up, seeing its fathers trying to help it encouraged Squishy to use the last of its strength.
Roaring in anger, the Zeta Metroid got up and lunged at an unsuspecting Chozo.
The soldier screamed in agony as Squishy devoured his energy in mere seconds, unable to escape its mouth. He eventually stopped moving and was reduced to a rotting pile of ashes that quickly scattered away because of the chaos around him. Though it just got some more energy, Squishy was still outnumbered, and still injured.
But Raven Beak was no fool. He had realized the deception the moment he noticed Squishy's behavior. Not even reacting to one of his elite soldiers having died horrifically, he pointed his Arm Cannon at the "Chozo" and fired a powerful beam at Oscar.
"Finish him. I will handle the Metroid." Raven Beak ordered Dark Stanford before turning towards Squishy and walking toward the creature, as Squishy lunged at the warlord.
Lucian could only stare in horror. He frantically tried to find a way to save Squishy and Oscar. But could he really save them both? His heart sank at the mere thought of leaving one behind. But he had to be quick.
Lucian whined as he put a hand on his chest, his heart hurting him. He closed his eyes and tried to center himself by taking deep breaths.
Eventually, he got an idea as he looked at the snow all around him.

Intermission: Lucina's Birthday and the Battle Royale Weirdos
Bale and co were preparing a few decorations in the base's main hall for Lucina who was away practicing her sword skills, as today was her birthday and it was about time they threw the party for their friend knowing she'd appreciate it.
Bale: I got the candles ready, how old is she again?
MG: I think she was around 19-20 when she first appeared in the present timeline so by now she should be... Erm, 29-30 now, it's been years since then.
Bale: I can work with that, hey Amethyst and MD don't eat the snacks before the celebration.
MD: Aw shucks.
Amethyst: Not cool, but eh.
Just then Soldier popped from the ceiling, having hanged up the lights rather neatly.
Soldier: Question, is our birthday boy with strangely long hair going to confuse this party for an ambush? He seems rather paranoid lately.
Bale: Relax, I'm sure she's had some before... With, well, I get it.
Just then they got reports from Xochi that Lucina had finished her training and was ready to get her surprise.
Bale: Everyone hide so we can give her a good greeting.
As soon as she arrived on the main room with all the other guests greeting her with excitement.
Everyone: Surprise! Happy Birthday!
Lucina: Everyone I.
Soldier: Congratulations on surviving another day, it might be your last this time.
Lucina: Appreciate this a lot...
Bale: What's the matter?
Kirby: I think she feels lonely because her previous birthdays had Meta around.
Amethyst: Eesh, hey girl sorry if we're being insensitive.
Lucina: No, it's fine, I do appreciate this gesture.

Bale: You can visit your family and other friends once we're done. We've only got Mr. Star's warning but no monster has emerged thus far.
He then got notification of the battle royale and remembered how only Ogerpon and Terapagos as well as the weird Bing-Chi-Ling fusion were his contestants for this season.
Bale: Guess this is what happens when I really want finishers, two unknown mons and a weirdo.
Xochi: My systems are fine so I can nominate them without issue, now resume your celebration tasks.

(Rikuo steps out of the VR chamber, but it appears Dupe!Sidon instead poofed into confetti like Stanford's clones usually would after being knocked out.)

Curses! (Don Carnage roars as the smoking Iron Vulture begins to make an about face back toward the pirates' lair.) RETREAT! RETREAT!! I HATE THE STUPID BIRDMEN!!

(While Raven Beak caught on immediately, Oscar didn't help to make himself look any more like an actual Mawkin by freezing in terror upon seeing Squishy devour one of the other elite Mawkin. This unfortunately means he doesn't try to dodge the beam Raven Beak fired at him until it is too late and he is blasted backward to the ground.)
With pleasure! (Dark Stanford says to Raven Beak, eager to finally get his revenge on Oscar and then Lucian.)
(Oscar is struggling to get back up to his feet when he suddenly feels himself being violently ripped upward into a seated position and his Mawkin headpiece being violently pulled off, causing Oscar to return to normal and his Mawkin disguise immediately deflating like a balloon, and being lifted up out of the empty disguise to face the currently larger than normal Dark Stanford in the face, which, due to the loosened bowtie, looks halfway between his stable fox form and his true form. Oscar is too terrified for words.)
Hmm, is it just me, or do you look...different, Wednesday? Perhaps you spent too much time in that accursed cartoon universe. No Thievul from your universe could flawlessly impersonate a Mawkin like that anyway. Nor a bipedal alligator the size of my original form for that matter. (Dark Stanford says, holding the Thievul by the scruff of his neck and observing Oscar's ever-so-slightly more cartoonish appearance, including his more humanoid-forepaws.) But I digress. Ordinarily, I would merely Atomize you, fully this time, and revel in every second that it takes to fully disintegrate you, or change you into a more useful form like some of the others whom the Mawkin have brought me.
(Dark Stanford chuckles.) But I don't think you are worthy of either one of those fates. You and your friend have given me entirely too much trouble, so I am finishing you and then him right here and now! SAY GOOD-BYE, WEDNESDAY!!
(Certain that he is about to eliminate Oscar at last (with Lucian soon to follow), Dark Stanford can't help laughing in glee as he opens his mouth wide, making Oscar realize that Dark Stanford intends to eat him alive.) NO! NO!!! NO!!! LUCIAAAAAAAAAAN!!! (Oscar screams his best friend's name in terror as he tries to get loose.)

The Fourth-Placers' Revenge
The Arena, Season 272
That night, having sobered up after its dispute with Mark, the Triceratops found Frankenstein underneath the bisexual pride flag. The two pledged to form a fast-food company together, and the power of bisexuality ensured that neither could break that promise under pain of death. They parted ways, but knew they'd meet again soon.
Come the third day, the Triceratops stumbled upon a video camera, and proceeded to stomp and slam its butt on it for a bit. It sent the resulting video to Ivy in case it qualified as something that doesn't exist, and she proceeded to PM it to The Doctor. It then spent some time drinking tea before noticing that the Golden Saint it had impaled was up and about again, and became curious about her. It decided to show her the tea bags it had used, wondering if they were related to her revival.
The day after that, the Triceratops fulfilled its promise by joining Frankenstein, as well as the gay pride flag, in founding a restaurant chain called TGPFF. As it was preparing some nice meals for its herbivorous friends, Fiery Puffer came by to sell some Scout Cookies, but the Triceratops already had enough food and sent it on its way to see the tomato soups instead.
On the fifth day, the Drifter sent the Triceratops a link to her new mixtape. Intrigued, the Triceratops checked it out, and found it a hit. It then got some of its leftover beer bottles and invited MO over for a night of drinking and singing along.
On the sixth day, still intrigued by the Golden Saint it had gored before, the Triceratops decided to follow her around and see what she was up to. She quickly grew annoyed until she had enough and struck it down. Without Wayne Werewolf to give it a Phoenix Down, it once again became extinct.
NTC's Lab
"Well, it was worth a shot!" said Cassandra Beech, looking over the season results. "I mean, eighteenth place isn't bad! Best run we've had so far!"
"And yet still fifteen places shy of the podium," Nine-Tailed Cat said, glancing up from his desk. "It seems Season 273 will have to proceed without us."
"Hey, cheer up, boss! Lots of nominators are in the same boat!" Cassandra said. "Besides, it probably won't be long! I mean, it's only thirty-six tributes! They'll go through them pretty quickly, right?"
"They should, yes," said Nine-Tailed Cat. He then twirled his beard. "Come to think of it, it is a bit odd that the Battle Royale is less than half the size of our normal seasons. Perhaps the Gamemakers will do something about it."
"You never know!" said Cassandra. "Anyway, next season's tributes are all ready! What are we gonna do in the meantime? Are you gonna host again?"
Nine-Tailed Cat shook his head. "Not this time," he said. "I have another project at the moment, based on some of your recent suggestions. As for you..." He smiled. "I'm giving you a fully-paid week off. I think you've earned it."
"The whole week? Sweet! Thanks, boss!" Cassandra's tail wagged extremely fast. "This'll be so much fun! I'll probably stop by the lab to help anyway if I have the time, but we'll see!"
"That's up to you," said Nine-Tailed Cat. "Anyway, I'd best get to work. Have fun!"
With that, Cassandra headed out the door, while Nine-Tailed Cat began gathering up some spare parts and metalworking tools. There weren't any nominations this time, but there was still so much to do...
I like cute things. You gotta deal with it.

The season being over, Sccipion watched the Battle Royale's contestants. His eyes widened in anger.
"Again? I'm missing a Battle Royale AGAIN?!" the Zoroark furiously exclaimed, punching a wall in frustration.

"I suppose so. After battling with Ridley, this is the least you deserve." Fire Eyes said to the 'Brijes.
Cape Suzette
"Oh no...!" Tokage groaned. He and his teammates had a death grip on their seats as Baloo tried to lose the Mawkin in stone structures. But Lightning Claws's ship was still behind, still firing at them, Solid Rock's one being not too far away either.
"I-It's okay, June. We'll be alright. I got you!" Aaron said to June, trying to keep a level head to reassure her.
"W-We won't be able to escape for too long! Their ships are too technologically advanced, we need to teleport away from here!" Tokage said to his friends.
"HOW?? Shelley's the one with the communicator!!" Alex shouted.
"I-I don't think I can summon a portal right now, but I can try to contact Snowy Owl! I just hope I can contact him with that!!" Aaron exclaimed, struggling to grab the crystal ball his team received from Power, hoping he could contact Stanford's pony counterpart with this somehow.
But as he frantically rubbed it, the team noticed, much to their horror, Wild Sea's ship having passed the Sea Duck and the rock structures. The Chozo boldly had her ship turn back towards the plane and had it charge at the Sea Duck from in front of the heroes. Lightning Claws and Solid Rock also charged just behind the Sea Duck.
"OH SHIT!!!!" Alex screamed.
"WE'RE CORNERED!! BALOO, DO SOMETHING!! GO UPWARD!!" Tokage shouted.
"GAH!! JUNE, HANG ON!!!" Aaron shouted at June, tightening his grip on her, he and his team bracing themselves for the rough ride.

Squishy, noticing Oscar being trapped by Dark Stanford, tried to reach for him, and slashed at Raven Beak. But the evil Chozo dodged, then fired a powerful Ice Beam at the Metroid. Squishy grunted in pain, holding its frozen nucleus. Raven Beak then fired a Super Missile at it.
Squishy roared in agony, the attack being devastating. The creature collapsed.
All seemed lost, but then...
"LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE!!!" Lucian's voice echoed, having audibly assumed back his real form. Though he was clearly afraid, he seemed also angry and determined.
Then, the ground started to shake, as a large snowball started to roll towards Oscar and Dark Stanford, with Lucian at the center. Normally, it would have taken him more time to do that, and he would have been unable to control where he was going. But staying long enough in the Looniverse allowed him to more or less control his trajectory.
Lucian's snowball collided with Dark Stanford, and the Lycanroc extended his front legs to grab Oscar and pull him inside the snowball before Dark Stanford could devour him. He then went straight toward Squishy and Raven Beak
But Raven Beak, once again, was steps ahead. With a grunt, the powerful Mawkin chieftain readied himself and Melee Countered the big snowball with his Arm Cannon, sending it away.
"NO!! SQUISHY!!" Lucian exclaimed as he and Oscar started to roll away, thinking the Mawkin were going to kill it. The rest of the Mawkin soldiers, having regrouped, prepared to chase after them.
"No. Let them. It is of no consequence. Not anymore..." Raven Beak said, turning back towards the now unconscious Squishy.
"At last... At long last! The unlimited power of the Metroids... Their power is mine!"

"Awwww..." goes Asriel.
"But you always have another chance for the next BR," says Frisk.
"That's true, and I've long gotten used to getting no one for that," says 6k1.
But the positive news is that IchigoMontoya has finally acquired a Podium Finisher, says Ally. Moff Gideon technically tied with Orihime Inoue in chess but were murdered for it, but according to the official placements, he garnered 3rd Place.
"Wow, really?!" 6k1 then turns to Asgore and asks, "can I add him to this video call so that I can congratulate him 'in person'?"
"I do not see why not," says Asgore.
"And I wanna tell him how our first day of school went!" adds Asriel, while Frisk nods in agreement.
And so 6k1 adds Ichi to the group call and claps for him, too happy for him to realize that her rings are in the frame.

Now that I have time to really look at this place, I have to agree... (Veena says, admiring the ornate furniture, the large spacious room, and the windows overlooking the alebrijes' city. She sighs and leans against Joaquin.) ...Oh, it's...it's just wonderful...I think I may end up liking it here after all. What do you think, Joaquin?
Oh yeah! (Joaquin says, pulling Veena close to him.) And just think, now Papá and the others aren't going to be far from us either.
Oh yes! (Veena nods. Now that she knows that Greta and the rest of the 'Brijes will be here as well, she feels a little better about settling here in this realm with Joaquin. She does worry about never seeing Fire Eyes again, however. She looks over at him sadly.)

(Dark Stanford is so dumbfounded by the giant snowball rolling toward him that he doesn't think to move out of its way until it's too late, and Lucian is able to grab Oscar back away from him.)
LUCIAN!! (Oscar exclaims. But his relief is short lived because Raven Beak deflects Lucian's snowball and they go rolling away from Squishy.)
SQUISHY!! NOOO!!! (Oscar shouts as they go rolling away.)
(Dark Stanford angrily shouts after the duo as they roll away.) THIS IS NOT OVER!! I WILL FIND YOU AGAIN!! AND WHEN I DO, THERE WILL BE NOT EVEN BE A TRACE OF YOUR VERY DNA LEFT!! YOU ARE MINE!! MIIIIINE!!
(Dark Stanford regains his composure and tightens his bow tie back up, resuming his more stable form.) Well...they may have gotten away, but we have their pet! Splendid! We can commence with the next part of our plan.

The Voidlands, Ruined Suburbs
Shadow Kirby wanders through a dilapidated suburban area. Houses line up the area, but they are empty, abandoned, and some are partially destroyed. Some empty cars are parked in the streets, and dead trees litter the area. A few Voidlands Bugs wander through the sidewalk like stray cats, some eating the grass.
Suddenly, Shadow Kirby hears a scream from nearby. Shadow Kirby goes to investigate.
Shadow Kirby then witnesses a preteen girl with purple hair
◊ being cornered by three purple, sharp-toothed creatures
◊. These are the Chompas.
"Leave me alone!" the girl screams in fear.
Shadow Kirby steps in. "You leave that girl alone!" he said. A Chompa then boisterously charges at him. Shadow Kirby then inhales it, and spits it out at another Chompa, stunning both.
Thinking fast, Shadow Kirby runs into a nearby trash can and finds a matchstick. He then lights it up and inhales the lit match, and it turns him into Fire Shadow Kirby. The two stunned Chompas recover, and all three charges at Shadow Kirby. He then breathes fire at one of the Chompas, damaging it. This then scares off all three, sending them running to the distance.
Shadow Kirby then talks to the girl. "Are you okay, poyo?"
"Y-yes." she replies. "Who are you?"
"Shadow Kirby. Who are you? People like you are pretty rare here."
"Anna." said the girl.
"Nice to meet you, Anna!" said Shadow Kirby. "Now if you excuse me, i have to go."
"W-wait! More of those things might show up to get me! Can i be with you?" Anna said.
"Well, okay. I suppose a companion wouldn't hurt."
Shadow Kirby then leaves the area with Anna in tow.
The Spacepod
Kirby and friends are having dinner. Today, they are having pizza.
"I think the Games are starting again! Hehehehe..." said Magolor.
"Hey Magolor, it's getting late." said Bandana Dee.
"Oh yeah! I think it's almost time for me to leave! I'll just watch the games from the Lor Starcutter."
Magolor then leaves. After finishing their meal, Kirby goes upstairs at the bridge to turn on the Arena feed from their monitor, but not before Kirby picks some dessert.
