This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

It's supposed to be like this, I think (the all lowercase username requires curly brackets): ~Tropers/{{number9robotic}}
I can't do it myself because the pinging system hates hyphens, which my username has.

If you edit your post immediately after, it won't send the PM.
I don't understand what's contentious about the Death Stranding examples being more or less "in context" than anything else in the page. Obviously the game isn't released yet, but the examples are about moments that already concretely exist in previews about the game. The Event Title entry is based on how a character within the context of the game explicitly calls is "The Death Stranding". The entry about soothing a baby isn't just confirmed and its function properly explained by Kojima, the action is explicitly shown in a gameplay trailer. The reason I brought up the Word of God is because he concretely details that the shown gameplay element is done in the spirit of the trope.

Thanks for playing King's Quest V!If it's present in the trailer, the example text should say so.
Also, addt thing: another character from a different trailer also refers to the phenomenon as The Death Stranding. Or do I seriously have to cite both trailers for something already corroborated a few times that people will be constantly saying before the game's release?

Thanks for playing King's Quest V!If there is enough information in only one of the trailers, you can cite only that trailer.
So, a new poster for Film. The Rise Of Skywalker was released today. I'd like to put it on the movie's page, but said page has been locked until release. Is there a way to get that done?
do you hear the drums?Make a post on the locked pages thread requesting the edit.
Ask on image pickin actually.
They handle pic changes
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Ah, good point.
I don't think that needs an Image Pickin' thread; it's customary to replace early teaser posters that don't show much about the work with newer posters.
Keet cleanupI thought any change to an image should go through there? That's what I remember the rule being. I can agree with a "better poster" being a potential exception to the rule, though. But a lot of times a bad upload happens, or it was never uploaded as transparent, so an IP thread hashes out these issues. It's quite useful.
Have the mods ever actually said that? I only recall exceptions applying to quality upgrades for existing images.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Pokémon Masters just got a proper release date of August 29th
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Isn't is also out in Canada right now?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I'm in Canada and I can install it in early access, so can confirm.
When can Pokemon Masters be moved out of the sandbox? It is playable in some regions.
That doesn't "radically alter" anything. Remove it.
Whenever someone's ready to move it.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I've a question, what does "unreleased" mean in the context of a series (manga, anime, cartoon, tvshow, comics, a book if the first book already clearly states being part of a series)? Are the separate installments considered released as they come out, or is it only released when the whole series comes out?
What about the seasons of anime and tvseries?
Ongoing works are subject to the standard spoiler/leak/speculation policy; this is about entirely unreleased works.
ETA: A sequel book (or a sequel film) is an entirely unreleased work, even if it is part of a series.

No I meant for tropes that call specifically for unfinished works. As in, can an episode of an ongoing series be overshadowed by controversy or similar?
I tried to page them above, but apparently there's some trick to it that I can't wrap my head around. It's supposed to be just tilde and then the username, right?
