Snowclone: Everythings Squishier With Cephalopods

I almost classified the Animal Crossing octos (currently not sorted yet) as Funny Octopus, but that might be a stretch...

Other than that, yeah, the rest can go.

Taking care of wicks now. Finished with Main, and we got 484 to go.

I'm leaning toward Funny Octopus for the Animal Crossing villagers (not so much the non-anthropomorphic ones caught in the ocean), and I definitly think they should go under Funnel-Mouthed Cephalopod since it's a lighthearted Funny Animal-based series.

I think Octoroks from Zelda would count as Tentacled Terror and/or Funnel-Mouthed Cephalopod since they're enemies, even if they're not that scary due to being The Goomba in 2D games. That said, the example on the Everythings Squishier With Cephalopods page is a ZCE.

The Pokemon Octillery would definitely go under Funnel-Mouthed Cephalopod.

Edit: I changed the wicks for Octoroks and Octillery. Not sure about Omanyte and Omastar for the Pokémon games. I don't think Tentacled Terror counts; they can be foes, but they're not inherently evil like Octoroks.

Okay, so my instincts were right re: Animal Crossing. I'll move it over to Funny Octopus.

Honestly, I'm not even bothering with moving stuff over with wicks. A lot of wicks I'm finding amount to "this exists" or are otherwise Zero-Context Examples.

Does Tentacled Terror mean "scary tentacles" as well as "evil/villain tentacles"? Depending on the answer:

• Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama
• Penguins of Madagascar

need to be moved. As I write, we're below 300 wicks now.

Kim Possible has been moved. Not sure about Penguins; that gets a "maybe but not sure".

There are a few more wicks that were either "evil tentacles" or "definitely fits the new tropes but I don't want to overwrite my clipboard".

Okay, checked Penguins character sheet, and the character in question does not qualify as Tentacled Terror. That wick on the work page will be axed outright.

The wick on Characters.Pokemon Generation VIII Families got readded. I'll message the editor, since I was the one that removed it, to avoid an Edit War.

I don't know if those two even fit either Funny Octopus or Tentacled Terror, but Combat Tentacles might fit.

If it's not there already, then that works.

Update: User responded, and turns out the readd is likely accidental due to expired clock. The page being high-traffic due to the game releasing recently didn't help.

No harm done, no action taken.

The end is in sight.

And then there were three, all three of them being sentais.

I'll have to deal with them tomorrow, since all of them are nested in subbulleted trope lists, which is making things awkward.

Update: In the end, I was thinking "eh, let's not worry too much about it I guess" and cleared out the last wicks.
