Touhou fans. Around here at least. The worst that happens is we argue either A) character power levels, B) which music is the best or C) which boss is the hardest.
Never do we engage in personal insults or toxic shenanigans (except when we're talking about the Watatsuki sisters).
Well there are fandoms for scientists like nurdrage, codyslab, and some others.
That and I guess Gunnerkrigg court has a very decent one.
I don't really look around in stuff like that.
HiHm....
The Lord of the Rings fandom is pretty chill these days, from what I can tell; there's nowhere near as much drama as there used to be.
Almost everyone I've met in the Les Mis fandom is ridiculously nice. There is some drama over shipping (a subset of the fandom will fight you if you don't ship Enjolras and Grantaire), but mostly we're pretty calm.
The Supernatural fandom, which I'm not a part of but have friends who are, is about 50/50; it gets pretty messy where discourse is concerned, but the nice people in it are just so darn nice it's awesome.
The Criminal Minds fandom is another one I'm not in, but my friends who are say it's surprisingly civilized.
The Arrowverse fandom is messy as all heck, but there's at least one subset that's pretty sweet: Flash fans who ship KillerVibe (Caitlin x Cisco.) I have never met a mean KillerVibe shipper. They don't get hung up in discourse, they're accepting of the fact that it's not canon, and mostly, they're just fun to be around.
The furry fandom is way more civil than you'd think. They're very good natured about jokes made about them as long as it's not too insulting, and they'll go out of their way to cheer you up if you're feeling down.
That's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure there's more.

Metal Walker cause I'm its only fan as far as I know :P
Anything small and fairly obscure tends to be good, like Robopon, Monster Rancher, Rose Petal Place, Lady Lovely Locks, and Trollz. And stuff. For larger fandoms it's certain subsections that are good and others you'd want to avoid.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, since there are less fans in those fandoms than normal, there's less of a chance that they'd be involved in much drama since there's less of a chance that some random fan will say something that riles up the other fans and triggers an argument. I can't imagine something like, say, Birdz having much drama going on in its fandom since its fandom is borderline nonexistent in the first place.

Every fandom has it's bad apples, but while they're usually in the Vocal Minority, where they're relegated away from the Silent Majority, some fandoms are more divided and more toxic, regardless of them being the Silent Majority or a Vocal Minority. Which fandoms are more civil? While no fandom can be entirely such, civil fandoms have a large majority of such being civil, with a tiny Vocal Minority being the exception. They would also rarely get involved in inter-fandom conflicts or engage in Fandom Rivalries.
Update: Research on these fanbases outside TV Tropes is recommended.
