Liked the call back to Bernie Mac’s line in the first film. Can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade since he died.

We got embedded trailer:
The majority of the posters at TFW2005 are getting hopeful about this one, you guys!
That... actually looks good.
This is weird. Am I in a mirror universe?
HOLY SHIT IS THAT G1 STARSCREAM?
And directed by the same guy who did Kubo And The Two Strings? I'm in.
Well this looks like a breath of fresh air. It seems this is going to be a smaller and more character-focused story, which was much needed after how big and convoluted the previous films were. A simple story about A Girl and Her Car, with some government stooges thrown in to complicate things. We also got a glimpse of Starscream, so I hope he actually gets some proper characterization here.
Also, who else expected the cassette tape at the end of the trailer to turn into one of Soundwave's mini-cassettes?
See: barrel, bottom of
Damn that actually looks good.
I think I like it. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted. So we have Starscream with a Phantom alt-mode and Bumblebee as a classic Beetle.
...Any word on when this film is set? I'm going to stab at mid-late 80s if only because of that plus the Humvees.
"Yup. That tasted purple."No joke if this was used to reboot the series I might actually watch these movies again. This is giving me some major Iron Giant vibes.

80s, don't have the specific year.
I say use this movie as a template for complete reboot. Easier that way and not once again try to retcon the original film continuity again and again.
It's not like anyone cared beforehand by the time Age of Extinction happened.
OK. TFWiki is saying 87 but didn't put a source on that.
Also from the looks of things Bee is going to change alts at some point in the film. Since in one shot on the beach he had a chestplate that looked more like the grill from a Jeep CJ or something.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Huh I... actually kind of want to see this? Weird.
This song needs more love. There's a rule against posting in a thread just to complain. Don't.
Anyways, trailer looked decent.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I was hoping that this would be entirely new from the Bayformers, but it's an prequel. But hey, prequels can be good, right? Just look at how tragic Rouge One was.
So anyways, how often do we see an Decepticon transforming into an red sports car? Because one of them is an red "modified" 1971 Plymouth GTX and Barricade is supposed to be in this movie (hopefully to explain why he hates the yellow menace) and the last time that I'd checked, he's an cop.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakA few times. Dead-End and Knockout being the two most recurring example of Red Decepticon Sports car.

Guys,I'm not so sure about this new direction they're taking, will a film about a Bumblebee even work? I think there's a danger it could end up being a bee movie
New theme music also a box
Meanwhile, the TFWiki has already decided what movie they're going to be quoting for the captions on their page for the movie...

There seems to be a large voice of approval from this 2-minute teaser, but I'm really not feeling it.
Ending a franchise on a prequel already feels awkward, and while I'm up for a more nostalgic, less crappy Transformers film I'm not particularly hyped for a film about Bumblebee.
And if this is in the same continuity as the Bayformers then I guess we'll see how Starscream and the other cons got situated here, but why is Bumblebee here all alone?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!...
So are they saying bumble was on earth for a really long time?
I mean, we know he was there first, but I never got the impression he was there for that much longer, and the others responded to his distress signal pretty damned quick (within a few days as you recall).
Also, there's no way any cons were on Earth for a long period of time without tearing shit up. They aren't much for subtlety.
One Strip! One Strip!Well Bumblebee being here longer would explain why he's a busted 70's Camaro (a rather inconspicuous choice of vehicle otherwise) in modern day.
Also if you go by Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, Decepticons were here for a while.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."About this trailer, you can say the difference is....... Knight and Bay.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Previously on the discussion thread for Transformers: The Last Knight:
And now, straight from the man you cannot see, we have a legit confirmation on when that trailer's coming:
In the meantime, roll out and sound out here!
