See here for Nightmare Fuel, which has frequent enough problems to deserve a thread of its own.
A while ago, I made a thread for cleaning up Nightmare Fuel pages, since they tend to attract all sorts of gushing about anything vaguely unsettling, as well as violations of Example Indentation and the Spoiler Policy among other problems. Well, other Moments pages have similar issues, though to a slightly lesser extent, so they may as well have a cleanup thread too.
"Moments" reactions should:
- Be free of spoiler tags, in accordance with the Spoilers Off policy which states that:
Fridge, Headscratchers, and the various Moments subpages (Tear Jerker, Moment of Awesome, etc.) are for post-viewing discussions. Spoiler tagging there defeats the purpose of the articles. You shouldn't be going there if you are worried about them.
- Be based on things that actually have happened, not things that could happen, will happen, or might have happened. Speculation belongs only on the Wild Mass Guessing pages.
- Have affected the writer of the entry themselves. If you don't find something funny or sad, let someone who did add it to Funny Moments or Tear Jerker.
- Elicit a strong reaction. Not every single time a character accomplishes something is an Awesome Moment, not every attempt at comedy is a Funny Moment, not every time someone does something nice is a Heartwarming Moment, and not every unhappy event is a Tear Jerker.
- Explain why they're so awesome/funny/sad: Zero Context Examples aren't allowed on this wiki. Your description should allow anyone to understand your reaction.

Should I proceed to delete the folder then? I was only sent here from this ATT query because War Jay said that no meta and fan moments should be included in funny pages, and the TF2 page is a big outlier.
It's turned out that I may have been wrong about that. I say we hold off for now and see where the ATT discussion goes.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessReposting from the last page:
While cleaning some spoilers from Moments pages I found the Eisenhorn Heartwarming page that only has a single example and that is a subversion, which isn't allowed. Should I cut list it? (it was created in 2018 and the only edit since was a formatting one by a different troper)
TearJerker.Star Wars The Clone Wars has a very worrying "Meta" section, which I think can be cleaned up now that the show is coming to a close.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!I've just cut the Ian Abercrombie example from the page, since it violated NRLEP.
He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself. That Meta section has a bunch of examples speaking about the show in general terms. I thought Meta examples were basically real life examples?
Limpin' with the bizkit.Tearjerker.The Smurfs And The Magic Flute: Too non-specific, so cut, right?
...Honestly, I'm not even sure what that's supposed to mean. Granted, I haven't seen the movie, but I'm not sure how much that would help.
The troper behind that page was banned long ago anyway, it seems.
SoundCloudThis is on Dumbo:
- This◊ editorial cartoon done in response to Ringling Brothers announcing their retirement of elephant acts by 2018.
- Unfortunately, it could also become Fridge Tearjerker, or even Nightmare Fuel, if this is meant to be believed.
- The Ringling Brothers center is in the process of closing and dispersing the elephants to places with proper environments, and several elephant sanctuaries have spoken up offering to take them.
- Unfortunately, it could also become Fridge Tearjerker, or even Nightmare Fuel, if this is meant to be believed.
That seems to be troping real life rather than the work. It's also natterific, using awful indentation, and running into Examples Are Not Arguable territory with all that extra troping.
I'd say remove it.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Hi! Do the Awesome Music pages fit in this cleanup? Because AwesomeMusic.Serious Sam has a LOT of ZCE weblinks.
I'd say so.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Speaking of Awesome Music, can the note about removing links to deleted videos on the Video Games subpage be trimmed down to its bare essentials? Singling out "BrawlBRSTMs3's channel", whatever the hell that was, seems kinda... I dunno, tacky? And also pointless, considering that it's now nearly mid-2020.

Are Funny subpages allowed to list Narm moments? Because I believe most, if not all of Funny. The Wicker Man 2006 is just Narm (except for maybe the little girl getting hit by the truck).

back lolI think it was decided that yes, they can. Even if that wasn't actually decided here, my vote is to allow them.
I found TearJerker.Mobile Suit Gundam 00 while dewicking Complete Monster, and it has some awful grammar—as if English wasn’t the editor’s first language. I commented out some examples until I have enough context that they can be fixed.
This is a bit of a weird one, but Funny.Tv Tropes might need some updating and cleaning; a lot of the examples reference things that don't exist anymore (as if they still do) and a shit ton of them are ZCEs, assuming people will go and check out the page the moment came from as if it's still there to see.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAre there any tearjerker examples that has something that essentially amounts to "if you don't cry then you have no soul"? I will take a look at and zapped it.
I can't think of any examples of those, but I don't doubt that they exist. If they do exist, they likely exist on works well-known for their Tear Jerker moments.

back lolI'm pretty sure there's a policy page somewhere that says to not insult people who didn't react the way you did when writing examples for moments pages, but I don't remember which one. But it's definitely Opinion Myopia, and I don't think it should be on the page.
Awesome.Steamboat Willie is just two meta examples. Is it cutworthy?
The things in my dreams wish they could chase me!I would say so. Also, the image on that page is bad and neds to go if the page is to be kept.
Honestly, I'd move the image from the Awesome subpage to the main work page; the current image on the main work page is way too saturated.
back lol
You're probably right.
