The Houndoom trots around to get a good look at those who have assembled around the inn before heading back off to have a brief word with Clayton, before Clayton decides to take his turn talking with the party.
We don't really know who you guys are from simple eye tests, but...we are one in the same in what we want: we want that Gorebyss out of our town, put away where she belongs, and all of her victims safely returned. Now, we were going to plot out a potential course of action to figure out the best way to stop her. Any of you have any idea?
He scans the room to see if anyone would have some form of idea. I start to rack my brain while attempting to concoct a possible idea. One does form, but I'll save it for now.

"Well, uh..." he says to Clayton. "Where I came from, it was just me and a small community of other Ghost types, mostly other Drifloons... All these species are completely new to me, including Gorebysses. What is their type, and their weaknesses? We could gather Pokemon who are strong against a Gorebyss' type..."
I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :D
WP Inn
(More victims. What exactly is her plan? What plan would require reducing islands to rubble and turning people into Clamperls? I'm doubtful she would follow L'Arachel down to world domination, but it's likely she doesn't know that she's dead. When the notion of plans come to me, I responded.) As many of you know, we're most likely dealing with an entire army consisting of Clamperl, so anything that can resist or damage Water-types would work. Even then, she's likely got something to account for that. What we've got to figure out is where she's at or where she's going. If we don't know, she's likely going to leave more craters.
(I continued onward as I looked at the group as a whole.) I would suggest sending a scouting party, but that could potentially leave us exposed and likely converted in the event of an ambush.
(Not to mention plenty of us have reservations about splitting up, but I kept that detail to myself.) We could look around the town and maybe further to find a clue, but who knows what's left of this place.

In that case, who we'd really need are some Grass, Electric, and other Water-type Pokeémon. (I say, scanning the room.)
Shelley is the most Water resistant out of the three of us! (The Flygon remarks, looking in the Golisopod's direction.) I am just uncertain that she would interested in going at the moment...
And maybe looking around for clues could help... (I agree that looking for clues could help. Maybe we can see if Mother and everyone else made it while we're at it.) I don't really mind looking around in the rain.

(It becomes increasingly obvious that Patch is painting a picture of a bunch of Smeargles on his sketch pad.) Is that your Mama and Papa? (She asks him.)

(Dinah suddenly becomes very worried, and given the sad expression on the Slowking's face after the two young Pokémon finish talking, Dinah feels her fears are confirmed.) Ma'am, was his family...?
(The Slowking nods sadly.) They were...after the Gorebyss and her clan moved out and we were looking for anyone who might have escaped being captured and converted by her, I found him hiding in a closet at the cafe all alone. The poor child...it took hours to calm him back down once he learned what happened.
(Dinah looks back at Patch as he continues to paint.) Oh, how horrible...

I finally put together my idea, and try to bring it forth.
Have you got a map of the island and its access points? We could try to consolidate our ranks into one set area where it would seem most likely for them to be. We seperate them from the Clamperls, then we can fight with a much bigger number compared to them.
We...do, yes, but the thing is we only know that she wants to get to the spring. For what reasons she wants access we simply cannot say. Unless we get another idea of short-term plans we will set out into the rain to find any clues she may have left behind. After that, we can explore how to storm the island and stop whatever she's up to there.
Anyone have any otha' ideas 'ere? I won't accompany ye out there—

As such I simply nod along in agreement and turn sound to look back outside the inn, then back at the others. At least if there's one silver lining to having to step out into the rain is that I can get washed off (not like rainwater really helps; but fuck, what can I do). And not only this, I guess if I was gonna ever wind up in a situation like this—as another body altogether—at least my lover happens to basically be someone who is the very embodiment of water itself.
Okay, if we're gonna head out and look for these clues we've gotta be aware of our surroundings at all times. Who's coming with? I'll assume everyone.

(They really do consider splitting up as an option. Taking in the Tyrantrum's point, I discussed said option.) If we do decide to look around town, we shouldn't go too far. Flyers could work but like the Charizard said, it's still a risk that would cost us. I'm not trying to shoot down the idea altogether, it's that we should consider other options.
(I turned to the group as a whole.) Anyone else have ideas?

We arn't necessarily sayin' t'split up...we know full well wha'happens if she picks off one individual. What we could be doin' instead is simply have whoever can fly stay above everyone else and move with 'em, and get far 'nough up to get as good a view as possible. Does that make sense?
The spring....yes. Over on Danjor Island we have a spring which is gaurded by Volcanion. It isn't to simply splash around in. Those who wish to remove any curse they might have been afflicted with, such as one from a Ninetales, go there and get their curse removed. She wants that spring for some reason, and if we can set out on the town to find clues, we could nail down why. Judy, are you going to lead us in this?

Whispering Pines, Outside the Inn
In the interim, Mila tries charging up a new wave of energy for another set of Electro Balls, though just as she tries to launch her first attack she's caught off guard by the sudden arrival of a separate group of mons. Losing her focus, the Raichu stumbles a bit and releases the Electro Ball prematurely, watching with her mouth slightly open as it runs right into a large drop of water and splits, sending an array of smaller spheres in every which direction. The effect gives her inspiration, but she has to quickly store that away in the back of her mind as she tries to assess the crowd before her.
"O-oh! Hello, I don't know if you... if you were with Goobert or who he went with to get here. All I know for sure is that a Gorebyss named Phoebe apparently caused all this mess and that the people in the inn want to stop her. Go on in if you want, I'll be okay out here." atchoo
Rain had fallen on her nose, forcing the sneeze out of her. At least she hoped it was that, and not early symptoms of a cold. Her grandmother would not have approved.

Clayton clacks his claws and steps up to the front of the inn...before doubling back towards Polly after briefly judging the rain outside. Typical thunderstorm, he figures, it's never hurt anyone.
Yes, it's a short trip from this town to make it to the spring. And I'm certainly not opposed to any of the plans you've all brought up here this evening. Once we arrive back here from our hunt or in the morning tomorrow we will factor in what you've all brought before us to prepare to storm Danjor Island and try to stop her in her tracks. Polly, you ready to go?
Clayton asks, beginning to head outside.
Well, shit, if only I packed an umbrella for this...what should we even be looking for anyway?
Easy. The most obvious thing would be if she left any kind of map of Danjor, some kind of notes she took, marks in the road that would indicate movement speed and direction. If we can glean her motivation for going to Danjor Island we will have the first step in our plan.
I start to move out of the inn, as Clayton makes his way outside and turns to look back inside.

(The cursed mons prepare to head into the inn....only to run straight into everyone else as they are heading out just as they get under the canopy over the front entrance.)

(I feel so relieved to see Mother and everyone else at this moment that I almost feel like I might pass out. I quickly make my way over to Mother.) You don't know how glad I am to see that you're alright...

As soon as we spill out of the inn the presence of the cursed mons is, as I would've figured earlier, made known to us. And, as I also could have figured, there are reunions to be had. That's fun and all, but it's sad because Goobert isn't among them. I shed but a brief sigh and address the Heloilisk.

Well, all these reunions are nice but we do need to be heading out to find any form of clues...
Clayton says as he notes the presence of the second party that seems to have come from the other side of the island. And, as he studies them closely, he does in fact note that they appear to be these very cursed mons that were mentioned earlier.
I imagine that those of you in this other group are quite soaked at this moment—will you join us or head indoors to dry off for a spell? The rest of you, we should probably be heading down this neighborhood over here..
Clayton says, pointing in a Northeasterly direction to an indent in the road that splits off to the right—to a row of houses including one such house that has been demolished to nothing but rubble.

(I followed the group outside and started to take flight. Didn't want to talk with the newcomers, not while I was busy with the search. I don't mind the rain too much, just as long as I don't get struck by lightning that is. While airborne, I stuck close to the group but I kept an eye out for anything beyond the wreckage.)

He means town when he says that, by the way. (Marsha cuts in.) We're from all sorts of different towns. He, Rex, and Steph there just came from the furthest aways.
(Marsha then asides to Bailey.) Play along with what I just said, okay, Bails? We'll explain' why latah.
Thank yeh for offerin' t' help out, y' two. (She tells Bailey and Rex, admittedly a bit confused by what Bailey and Marsha just said.)
Ah, yes, some of the leaders here had heard of the exploits I have been in since I escaped Slak Rock, as well as those of my mentor and associate Tenn over there, and asked for our help. (He motions toward the Scizor.) Shelley sitting with Tenn there has also been traveling with us along with her friend James who...regrettably was captured by the Gorebyss.
(Speaking of whom, Shelley slowly turns toward Daniel.) J-...James... (She says, almost inaudibly. It's obvious that she's still in too much shock over the loss of her best friend to be able to clearly articulate anything at this point in time. Tenn puts a claw on Shelley's shoulder and shakes her head at Daniel.)
(More awake and starting to get a little antsy and bored, Lucy slips away from Benji and Dinah and begins moving toward the lounge. Dinah notices in a hurry and quickly follows her into the room.)
(Lucy soon spots the lone Smeargle painting by himself in front of the fireplace. "Hey! He's just like Eliot!" she thinks to herself as she walks over.)
(The Smeargle looks up as Lucy walks over. He tenses up a little and looks up toward the Slowking.) Hi! Whatcha doin'? (Lucy asks.)
Um, paintin'... (The Smeargle says, anxiously looking back up at the Slowking, who takes notice of Lucy.)
Oh, hello there, dear, are you with someone? (She asks.)
Uh huh! I'm with my mama and papa! (Lucy says, motioning to Dinah walking up and Benji still by the party. His form looks quite unstable as he tries to hold his normal Swampert form around the many new faces he sees both immediately around the party and in the lounge.)
Outside the inn
(The group of cursed mons (and non-cursed Pokémon) approaching the inn soon get close enough to where the light is more clearly visible coming from the inn, and can also see Mila idly practicing her moves outside.)
Bzz, that looks like one of the other Pokémon I've seen with Goobert and Dieter's group whenever we've bumped into them. (Maran remarks.) That must mean Delilah and the others are around here somewhere.
(Rich calls out to Mila.) 'Hoy there, lass! 'Hoy!
(Should Mila look, she'll see the group of mostly unfamiliar faces (which currently includes June, still disguised as a Machoke as she pushes Renata and Bruce), but may at least recognize Maran, Sunny, Cortez, Renata, and Salty(?) from other places the party has been.)
