I like the EC one a lot better than the Simpsons one.
Me too.
Me three.
No "Bowser's Fury" questions please. I haven't played it yet.Aye.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"EC works for me.

Check out my fanfiction!Good enough; it's up and tagged. Caption?
Doesn't strictly need one.
Check out my fanfiction!I was thinking of another use of the trope, but that might work better as a stinger.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The winner image is actually more suitable for The Exit Is That Way which is a subtrope of Failed Dramatic Exit. Keeping it on the latter page may cause examples to be misplaced.
That's a good point. It's usually better to place images on more specific subtropes if they fit there.
Check out my fanfiction!Indeed it is. 1.2 for The Exit Is That Way, 13 for Failed Dramatic Exit.

Caption suggestion for 1.2: *SLAM* ...wait, that's the bathroom door.

Twitter/Instagram: anzasquiddles. Deviantart: anzahanifathallah.Agreed, the EC pic for The Exit Is That Way and the GC pic for Failed Dramatic Exit works fine.
I could go along with that.
(Annoyed grunt)So do we have enough consensus to move Failed Dramatic Exit's pic to The Exit Is That Way and put the Gunnerkrigg Court one on Failed Dramatic Exit?
Yeah, I've gone ahead and made that change. Caption for the GC pic, since we weren't keen on one for the EC pic?

None come to mind for me, but here's the context of the Gunnerkrigg one, in case anyone wanted to come up with any such caption. (Or alternatively, wants to use the dialogue from the last two panels as the caption...)
Eh, it's been a few days, let's take this up in the caption thread if anyone's got an idea.
This came up in the thread for Smug Snake, where the following suggestion of mine for that trope was considered better for Failed Dramatic Exit.
While an example, I'm not sure it's the most immediately obvious example we could go for. Naturally, this kind of trope is best represented with dialogue to accompany it, so comics or webcomics work well for it, and in the examples section I found this Eerie Cuties example, and came up with the following panel-arrangement for it.
