Ryoma steps in to deflect the fire balls for Samsara, though they eventually manage to send him flying. Samsara, aware that she has to take the opportunity, dash forth, letting out a quick thanks as she attempts to slash Ridley.

Lucina herself dodge most of the flames, though one burns off most of her cape and another is hot enough to burn her cheek. Nonetheless, she swings her sword at Ridley.

Ridley screeches in surprise as he is slammed to the ground, although this means the sword attacks aimed for him will probably hit Botar instead.

Then his expression of vague shock and horror turns into a Psychotic Smirk of vague malice.

Cue the Final Smash acquisition sound effect and rainbow aura.

Ridley kicks out of the pin.

Ganondorf lets himself be hit by the incoming attacks, ending up plastered into the side of a nearby building.

Ridley on the Warpath

Ridley rolls onto his feet and gets into a ready stance, then charges across the entire battlefield, putting everyone at risk. If he hits even a single enemy, it will initiate his Final Smash, Plasma Scream.

Anyone hit by his charge will be launched into orbit and slammed against the side of Samus' Gunship, as Ridley rockets up to intercept it mid-flight and breathes a gigantic Wave-Motion Gun of fiery energy straight through it, causing the ship to explode with whoever was caught by his initial rush stuck in the explosion.

After the Final Smash, anyone who was hit by the Plasma Scream gets spiked back into the city street in which the battle was commencing, while Ridley calmly descends back down to the ground near Ganondorf. Samus' ship also falls into the atmosphere and crashes somewhere else in a distant part of the city.

Samsara's and Lucina's swordstrikes hit Botar, but in his current state of rage, he doesn't even seem to notice.

He brings out his armblade and attempts to strike Ridley, only to get hit by his Final Smash and launched into orbit, slamming against the ship.

Stunned from the attack, he fails to teleport away before Ridley fires at the gunship and makes it explode, sending Botar hurling back towards the Arena and slamming violently into the ground, debris flying everywhere.

Beat

He gets back up though, his armor looking somewhat damaged, and Botar looking even more pissed than he was before.

"Insolent beast... the Pit would be too good a fate for you!", he growls, grabbing a double-bladed axe◊ and throwing it at Ridley.

Oca manages to warp out of the way just in time, with Eggmet hopping onto his head as it continues to fire small bolts Ganondorf's way.

Enforcer turns to run but he is the fucking slow. Ridley slams into him and he is hit with the full force of the final smash.

The daemon plummets back to earth and plows into the ground, creating a particularly deep crater. He smokes at the bottom of it, still alive but not really in the mood to try to get out.

Lucina and Samsara are spooked by Botar's sudden appearance but recover enough to dodge the Final Smash, albeit barely and while needing to rescue Ryoma before he can be hit as well. Annoyed, Samsara draws another Brave Blade, swings at the air eight times over and prepare for the fight, while Ryoma defiantly yells and uses Raijinto's lightning to produce another blade, made out of pure electricity, in his hands.

Lucina... keeps her hands on her sword but prepares yet another Aether.

Thor begins advancing towards the downed Ganondorf, charging Mjolnir with lightning... then Ridley's Final Smash happens, prompting him to leap aside just in time to evade the oncoming space dragon.

"What the Hel?!"

After a moment, he fires his own-charged lightning blast at both Ganondorf and Ridley.

NLA

Kryo, cocky as ever, tries to grab the purple space dragon, but, predictably, it doesn't work quite as he planned. In his daze, he fails to avoid the beam, spiking to the ground.

Kryo: "Damn, I got too cocky. Let's try a different angle."

He lands next to a smiling Pinkamena, them both looking to Ganondorf and Ridley as if to say "try me, assholes."

Ridley is pressured by the axe and lightning, grimacing.

   "Drop dead already!"   

He spews a half-charged Plasma Breath at the three Shepherds (smaller charge means fewer fireballs), then goes for another Skewer, this time specifically positioning himself to try and hit Botar with the tip of his tail.

Ganondorf breaks loose of the wall he's in and drops onto his feet, zapped and scorched.

He dusts himself off, feigning nigh-invulnerability with the nonchalant manner in which he does so, as purple flame surrounds him.

In actuality, a hard enough combined attack could take him out of the picture right now without even giving him a chance to unleash his own Final Smash.

He does a grounded Wizard's Foot across the street to try and hit Thor, then jumps into the air and uses another Flame Choke, this time reaching for Kryo. Since he's using it in the air this time, he will simply flying-chokeslam the Time Patroller into the ground if the grab connects instead of doing a Facepalm of Doom.

FOR HOSHIDO ! yells Ryoma, going forward through the flames and cutting them away with his two swords. He reaches Ridley and then kick forward with surprisingly immense strength for a simple human, before doing an absolutely brutal X-like slash with his two swords.

Samsara supports him, activating Ignis and leaping forth after Ryoma's crit to try and strike Ridley multiple times over, becoming faster than what the eye itself can follow as she begins to launch into a War Cry. The first strike, Ignis, kickstart a blue explosion that somehow leaves rose petals behind. Each of the rose petals is subsequently cut by Samsara's flurry of blows !

Checkmate !

Lucina herself attacks Ganondorf with Aether, going for the first strike to partially heal herself and then attempting to hit him with an armor-piercing strike. To his horror, he may constat that Falchion is something of a divine weapon itself !

HOPE WILL NEVER DIE !

Enforcer lays in the dust of his own crater, though he manages to roll around and look up.

   "EURGH..."   

He coughs and manages to force himself to his feet; unfortunately for him, this destabilizes the walls of the hole and causes a cave in.

Oca bawoops to a nearby roof, and places Eggmet onto his arm. The little demon nods as he winds up and performs a fastball special at Ganondorf, with Eggmet engaging in a badass flying kick.

Botar gets hit by the Skewer, shocked by the force and flinching for a moment as the tail's spike impales him.

His eye twitches for a moment though, and before Ridley can pull his tail back out, Botar attempts to teleport with the tailpiece still in his chest... but without Ridley himself, meaning that his stinger might be gone.

If this succeeds, Botar will reappear near his axe, picking it back up and then pulling the stinger out of himself, dropping it onto the ground before ruthlessly stomping on it once, giving Ridley another dark glare.

"I will not die while on the job. The next part of you to go will be your head.", he says with a chilling tone.

Thor raises Mjolnir in time to block the brunt of Ganondorf's strike, though the impact nonetheless knocks him into a nearby lamppost. Shaking his head, the god of thunder breaks into a sprint towards Ganondorf.

"For Asgard!"

He then leaps at the Evil Overlord before attempting to smash him into the ground with a downward swing of his hammer.

Ridley gives a wide-open grin as he pulls his tail back from the Skewer.

Then he realizes his barbed stinger is gone and lets out a hilariously high-pitched squeak, sounding like it would be a full-on Neo-Ridley scream if not for the sheer shock that stifles his voice. This leaves him wide open for Ryoma's critical hit, which sends him sprawling on all fours, narrowly rolling away from Samsara's follow-up.    "Wh-why you...!"   

Ganondorf, meanwhile, doubles over at the Aether, gets sent dragged skidding along the street by Eggmet's FOOT DIVE (at which point his Final Smash becomes ready but he's too busy being ragdolled to actually use it), and finally gets smashed by Mjolnir. He lets out a scream of pain and anger as he goes flying up into the air, slowly falls onto his back, and then explodes into light.

Ridley's jaw drops. He turns to face the assembled fighters, who now have nobody to target other than him.

   "W-wait! You wanted to know about the spirits, right? I'll tell you everything you want to know if you let me go!"   

Botar keeps his icy glare as he looks the giant, winged lizard over.

"I am a warrior of justice, punishing those to deserve it to terrible fates regardless of what those around me desire.", he stoically says, making him sound creepy.

"However, this battle has personal terms for me. As such I'll show you mercy and take you up on your offer, just this once. Talk. Tell me everything you know. If you try to trick me, I will find you, no matter where you go."

He grins.

"To ensure you won't run the moment we drop our guard though..."

He points at Ridley, and small tendrils of energy are launched from his body, swirling around Ridley and trying to bind him like chains. The energy tendrils won't hurt, but will make it incredibly hard for him to move.

"Now speak."

Enforcer manages to claw his way up from the underground just in time to hear Ridley's line.

   "SPIR-WHATS?":   

Oca is more focused on Ganondorf dying.

   "GOD FUCKING DAMN TRIFORCE STEALING SUNUVA WHORE-"   

Eggmet hops back onto Oca's head.

Ryoma and Lucina look on at Ganondorf demise and Lucina is convinced to put Falchion back unto its sheet, though Ryoma keeps Raijinto out.

Great work, everyone. he says, with a slight, encouraging smile. Samsara points her swords at Ridley but doesn't attack yet.

You will tell us everything you know, and you better not have a bad memory.

Thor, admittedly somewhat unnerved by how un-stoic Botar was being, just looks at Ridley after the spectacle that was Ganondorf's demise.

"A wise decision, provided you remain true to your word. Now, do share your knowledge with us."

The tendrils surprise Ridley and contain him, and he wriggles his limbs a bit as if testing the tendrils' grip before turning back to Botar.

   "One thing at a time. First, the nature of Spirits."   

   "Spirits are not disembodied souls. They are beings who have been forcibly severed from their physical forms by Galeem, leaving them intangible to the physical world without a conduit. And they're the lucky ones; others struck by Galeem's attack become empty metal shells that the Spirits are forced to reanimate until they're defeated."   

   "Spirits under the control of Galeem are trapped inside orbs, white ones with an outline of rainbow fire, and their puppets have red irises in their eyes. Spirits under the control of Dharkon - I'll get to him, don't worry - are trapped in black orbs with the same rainbow-fire outline, and the whites of their puppets' eyes are purple in addition to the red irises. Galeem's puppets are covered in a pale blue aura, Dharkon's in a vibrant red."   

Thor may remember that yesterday, the Masked Man matched both physical descriptors of one of Dharkon's puppets while Porky's spirit was possessing him.

   "Spirits are forced to use empty puppets as conduits when trapped, and thus a puppet exhibits traits the Spirit attached to it possessed when it had a physical being."   

Mecha Ridley's Spirit manifests behind Ridley. It does not appear to be within either of the containment orbs he described.    "The true power of Spirits comes from once they've been freed, but before you've found a way to restore them to the physical world. Anyone can equip a Spirit to themselves, and the Spirit will be able to communicate with them telepathically while giving them a power boost. Most importantly, some Spirits have unique effects they're unable to give to puppets, but that they can bestow upon those who equip them, like how the killer robot I had built in my image allowed me to start the battle as a metal giant."

Botar's expression doesn't change, but he does listen as Ridley explains.

"I have two more questions for you.", he says after Ridley is done talking. "First, do you know which people turned into puppets and which people turned into spirits? And second, what do you know about Galeem and Dharkon themselves?"

Samsara carefully listens to this and lowers her swords slightly.

Could anyone report this to... the tall purple man ? she asks to the group.

And what does Dhakron seeks ? Could he attempt to wipe us all off the surface ? Launch an attack comparable to Galeem's ? asks Lucina.

Perhaps, he seemingly acquired spirits and puppets in his own... but we do not know where he is, we can't reach him and thus, he can easily charge a salvo. In that case, we'll be back to square one.

We'll need to lure him out anyway. If he is the opposite of Galeem, then he has to be as powerful. We will never be safe if he lives on.

Enforcer raises a hand at Ridley.

   "IF THESE SPIRITS ARE NOT 'SOULS', DOES THIS MEAN THEY ARE INEDIBLE?"   

Oca pops Eggmet back into his capsule and bawoops over to Enforcer; he tosses him a sack of TP Medals.

"Purple dragon guy, what the fuck just happened to the gerudo and how can I find him again. for, uh, non-torture related reasons."

Thor listens carefully to Ridley's explanation, raising an eyebrow when Dharkon comes up.

"So, Galeem wasn't controlling Porky and the Masked Man, after all... tell me more about this Dharkon you speak of."

"Perfect, there's another all-powerful entity controlling people besides Galeem... Perhaps I ought to have known this ordeal wouldn't be so straightforward."

Ridley nods to Enforcer and Oca.    "Simple questions first."   

   "No, you cannot eat Spirits. However, by equipping a freed Spirit to yourself, you are effectively absorbing its power and a physical characteristic it once possessed, achieving as much of a result - but it's not permanent."   

   "Ganondorf bit the dust. It's weird, because I expected him to turn into a trophy instead of up and exploding, but maybe he's got an extra stock or something. If that is the case, I don't know where he would respawn."   

   "No, I do not know who turned into a spirit and who turned into a puppet. The only spirits Ganondorf and I have were... imports from the World of Trophies. Moving on to the hard one..."   

   "Galeem is the self-proclaimed Lord of Light. But, as the seemingly-ever-so-popular saying goes, every light casts a shadow, and Galeem has a counterpart known as Dharkon. I haven't seen what he looks like, I just know what he is and his M.O."   

   "Dharkon is the embodiment of darkness and chaos. He plays the waiting game - whenever Galeem is weakened, he swoops in to snatch some Spirits and puppets, because he's not stupid enough to unleash a huge attack that puts a giant target sign on him by nature of its being used. I dunno what could've damaged Galeem enough to leave the window open for Dharkon before he had a chance to raise his barrier, but clearly, it had to have hurt."   

   "Both Galeem and Dharkon are capable of controlling Spirits, but their opposing natures - one trying to drown everything in light, the other trying to smother it in shadow - means they hate each other. Due to their equal power levels, if they can be forced out into the open while at the same level of strength, they will try to kill each other before they can be bothered to deal with any of us comparative insects."   

   "Also, of course, Dharkon prefers to take Spirits who are easier to convince to promote his agenda - if you can call it that - of spreading chaos and darkness throughout all existence, but he'll take anything he can get."   

   "Any more questions?"

"Anyone else have questions left to ask?"

Galeem seems to be weakened, this is good news for us and probably why he's stuck behind that barrier of his...

Ryoma and Lucina contemplate the information for now, with Lucina crossing her arms.

How could we draw out Dharkon ? Could we do so by badly weakening or slaying Galeem ?
