Little Mermaid remake Flounder and Scuttle will be played by Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina.

Awkwafina as Scuttle? I mean, I'm not dissing her as an actress as I've liked her in the films I've seen, but I don't think Scuttle is really her part unless they really rewrote the role. I don't know if that'll play to her humor style. Or maybe it will.
But good for them keeping this diversity casting going.
Yeah, this just makes me not have faith in this.
Yep, my faith is sinking even more and more.
Oh for Pete's sake.
More pointless changes to a well-made classic.
The Little Mermaid is not even among my favorite movies, but I am gonna be angry about this on behalf of my little sister (who used to spend hours watching that movie when we were little).
> Yep, my faith is sinking even more and more.
were you even faithful to begin with
New theme music also a boxThe unused comic didn't involve infidelity. Triton was just jealous. The plot went as:
It was called Portrait Of Life. Queen Atlanta (not Athena) befriends a human artist named Duncan and often poses for his portraits. Triton dislikes the friendship but Atlanta stays close to Duncan. A rival artist named Kole attempts to kill Duncan by setting off an avalanche, however, Atlanta pushes him out of the way, only to be crushed herself. Triton goes into a rage at his wife's death, accidentally causes Kole to fall off the cliff, and attempts to kill Duncan but is stopped when he hears the voice of Atlanta telling him to spare Duncan. The comic ends with Triton leaving with an unfinished portrait of Atlanta.
It explains why Triton distrusts humans so much. It can't be because people eat fish because merpeople also eat aquatic life.
For some reason Youtube keep recommending my with video regarding the Lion King controversy, mainly whether they rip-off Kimba the White Lion or not. I gave in i watch and i saw a lot of similar scenes between the 2 movies, like so similar that it can't just be a coincident. I wonder if it have anything to do with the Lion King remake coming out.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie"Who will play Scuttle?? ... I know! Get out my Mad Libs booklet.."
Female Scuttle is an odd choice, to be sure.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. You too? I thought it was me. I looked at a few Lion King videos and suddenly I'm bombarded with Kimba conspiracies and cat videos... Why does Youtube always show me cat videos, even I'm watching bird videos? I hate cats.
The Kimba theory is bunk from all I've researched. It's pure coincidence. The Lion King started out as a completely different story called King of the Jungle before morphing into "Hamlet but with lions".

I think what mainly fuels the "Kimba rip-off" rumors is Matthew Broderick claimed once that Disney told him it was supposed to be Kimba originally.
Good luck getting anyone else from the film to admit that though.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI'll take that with a word of salt since no one else on the team has mentioned it.
I’ve always been under the impression that the initial Kimba accusation was about possibly stealing art, not stealing story.
And the whole “the entire movie was a ripoff of Kimba” was exaggeration from people who were unfamiliar with what was actually going on, but whom were reacting anyway.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think the Mulan trailer is coming soon, the BBFC recently rated it[1]
I'm wondering about Ariel's sisters, because she has like a lot of them, I'm wondering if they'll reduce the number or cut them altogether so she's an only child thus making her father's over protectiveness a little understandable
New theme music also a boxSince Ariel's sisters aren't very necessary at all, I think it'd be best to cut them out.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.x5. I saw the scenes comparison between the 2 movies and while the stories is difference from each other, the visual is suspiciously similar between Kimba and the Lion King. The main animal antagonist in Kimba is also a black mane lion with a scar on his eye who minions is hyena. Both movies have a scene where our lion hero dangling from the cliff while the antagonist lion stand above him, a scene that our lion hero talk to his deceased parent in the form of a talking cloud. Those just a few example. There a theory that Osamu Tezuka originally work with Disney develop the story board to adapt the manga, but then he die and Disney both don't have the right to his work and don't want to let all those work go to waste so they brought in new animator to work with the already existing story board.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieWasn’t there also something about Kimba & Simba both eating insects?
Peace is the only battle worth waging.Kimba want carnivore to switch to a veggie diet. Simba just eat bug to survive since he live with Timon and Pumbaa.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieI hope Ariel's sisters don't get scrapped. Ariel being from a large family is important, but Aquata is my favorite TLM character.
The hyenas are from the King of the Jungle stage. Banagi was the original leader of the hyena clan. In the first script, he hated Mufasa but that's about it AFAIK. In the others scripts, he sided with a rogue lion (Scar) to overthrow Mufasa. Any resemblance to Kimba is coincidence. Hyenas are just common "lackeys" because Scavengers Are Scum.

Mulan trailer
I really dig the tone of the trailer and the imagery, while maybe not breathtaking, is as big as this movie needs to be. Not sure about her becoming a One-Man Army Wuxia warrior, a well trained soldier is fine but taking on five enemy soldiers at once is pushing it, but that's a minor complaint.
Good Trouble is a spin-off.
