I'd say a Jewish-themed sweater does not a Jew make.
Now that I think about it, most cartoons hardly ever even touch religion, don't they? They'll have secular Christmas and maybe the Easter bunny, and that will be it.
I don't think they should start assigning religions to Duck characters, to be honest. Keeping religion from the show keeps up it's universal appeal. That's why the comics generally keep mum on whether or not Donald is a Christian, for instance, let alone what denomination he is.

Optimism is a duty.Does it for any character?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Well if they make the character act like a cultural stereotype then yeeeeeessssssss I guess.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's difficult to include religion in a setting with a Crossover Cosmology where All Myths Are True and the characters can be Pals with Jesus. Ducktales characters regularly hang out with supernatural characters, including Greek gods and demons.
Plus including religion in any form in a show that doesn't require it for some reason or another is likely more trouble than it's worth.
Especially with Scrooge's love of money and the moneybin, you know how easy it would be to walk write into it

New theme music also a boxAre you suggesting making Scrooge Jewish? I don't think that would go over well...
Optimism is a duty.No I am definitely not but a careless writer could blunder into something like, hence why it's important you keep real world religions out of this

New theme music also a boxYeah, that would be some really big and serious Unfortunate Implications, and I doubt the Crew would be oblivious to that.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Bit late, but Gosalynn being Latina seems...
Well, it seems like a "no duh" to me. She wasn't particularly coded to any race in the original, but given what I remember of different family cultures and kids growing up, that matches up pretty well.
Sometimes these changes feel less like changes and more realizing what a character's identity was all along. I get that a lot from "This character confirmed as gay." new stories, I just read it, pause, then ask "Wait that wasn't always the case?"
That stuff isn't just clear cut.
If it wasn't there, it just wasn't.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Yeah. And it's only like 2-3 characters that get a Race Lift, dunno why people are making a big negative deal about it

"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Gosalyn especially works for it because she’s adopted, and thus not related to any characters by blood, not even her father. She effectively comes out of the ether, can be anything while still having the same relations to everybody.
Also her original actress, an iconic voice in her time, is dead. So while Diamantopolous is close-enoughing Jim Cummings as Drake, there could potentially be a sense of doing something different and not copying Christine Cavanaugh’s voice out of respect. Like how (the soundalike in the pre-K shows aside) Diamantopolous’ Mickey Mouse doesn’t sound at all like Wayne Allwine.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Huh. I honestly had no idea Christine Cavanaugh passed away. A few years ago too.
They're still obviously picking nationalities that appeal to an American audience, like Mexican and Latino. If they really wanted diverse, pick a non-American nationality for once. Like Turkish, or Australian, or Vietnamese.
You may call it diversity, but it is still diversity within narrow boundaries.
Optimism is a duty. How common is that?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.How common is what? Shows narrowly focussing on an American audience and only picking nationalities familiar to Americans to create diversity in their cast? I'd say that's pretty common.
Also, I don't see how Gosalyn was portrayed as Latina in any way in the original. She was pretty much an all round American tomboy.

Optimism is a duty. It's a show made, cast and set in the USA, what do you want?
You know America has more ethnicities than African American, Mexican, Latino, and white, right?
Optimism is a duty.So, don't go with what's common?
Those are the most common, which is why they are usually the go to.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.And it's only 2-3 characters, with their entities not being their defining trait at all.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."We don't really know that yet for Gosalyn.
Optimism is a duty.Fenton and Gosalyn were Race Lifted but who's the third? My first instinct is to guess Gandra but I don't think any race was confirmed for her, even if she's voiced by a South Asian actress.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.
He could be, but nothing is clear, nor the crew has confirmed IIRC
